Best donut shop in Richmond. Large variety, fresh and BIG. It was a treat every time when we stop by here.

Delicious donuts, available all day! Hefty in size, I ordered a half dozen and quickly ate two. Service was average, I greeted the employee first and seemed to have interrupted a phone call.Great sweets option after a long work day, or breakfast of course.

Nice donut place. We had to pay for services, but didn’t mind because the cashier was really nice! Their donuts taste similar to croissant.

They have some of the biggest donuts I have ever seen! Depending on your appetite, some of these can be split 3 ways! They have a pretty classic selection (raised, glazed, filled, etc). As their website states, the menu is no frills so dont expect candy covered or other types of fancy donuts. Their beverage selection is pretty basic as well and consists of coffee, milk, juice, and water. I do believe they have flavor add-ins for the coffee but no lattes and such. Service was very good and the place was inviting.

Oh My God. That is the summary right there, folks. My wife insisted we go in to Country Style after having dinner next door at Hogshead Cafe (another outstanding establishment). I was hesitant due to being full from dinner, but we went in and she picked out a few things - including a custard filled powdered donut. Life changing, it was. Possibly the best version of the best donut in the history of the entire human race, I kid you not! The custard was perfect in taste and texture, which is not entirely uncommon. However, the donut itself was sheer perfection, and this is much rarer. It was moist and chewy while not being undercooked and doughy. Combined with the perfect filling, it was absolutely devine. I simply cannot wait to make a return visit! I love Sugar Shacks salted caramel like no other donut, but this one may be tied for 1st place!

Wife absolutely loves this place. We were walking out of a neighboring restaurant and she saw CSD. She admittedly b-lined to get some doughnuts. They have many different kinds and styles. Because it was late they were out of many. I thought they were pretty tasty, but didnt think they were that great after keeping out all night. Maybe just the ones we got did last well. Fresh though, pretty good!

I love the old fashioned donuts, however yesterday when I got it it wasnt at its best. It tasted like crunchy grease more than a nice old-fashioned doughnut. Does not always happen. Other than that the space makes amazing donuts oh, I had loved their toasted coconut and untoasted coconut along with other. So have a lot of donuts to choose from. Apple fritters and other tasty treats.

Great donuts and variety! More than anything, the service was incredible. I stopped in on the 19th and the young lady was hospitable, polite and friendly. She went out of her way to get us some donuts we requested once the line died down. The whole time we were there, she never got flustered despite being by herself with a constant flow of customers. Great employee!

Country Style Donuts, is by far, my favorite and only shop that Ill buy donuts from. They have everything fresh, from glazed to jelly filled and a wide assortment of toppings on a variety of other donuts, but my absolute favorite would be their famous cinnamon rolls. If you havent tried them Id highly recommend them! They come filled with a ton of cinnamon and a heavy glazing on the outside and are just amazing!! 👍👍 Remember, Donuts arent just for breakfast anymore 😋Stop in and support Nader and his friendly and helpful staff sometime soon and enjoy Richmonds best donuts and pastries with a cup of coffee or juice..... So much donut for the money! I just got a dozen holes and my husband and I barely finished it. Lots of variety and such big big donuts. We’ll definitely try more next time!

Overall good doughnuts in a nice dining area. Lost 2 stars due to a majorly grimy bathroom and literal grease all OVER the floor. I attached a pic. Both my daughter and I slipped due to standing grease on the floor; the teenage employee we told just said “oh”. No sign was placed. The bathroom was among the dirtiest I’ve ever been in. If I went again, it would be just for takeout.

We got a bunch of donut holes, all different flavors, and they did not disappoint. Very light and fresh despite coming in later in the day. While the glazed donut is a classic, it was very refreshing to try their other flavors. I definitely want to come back to eat more of their donuts and try their other pastries.

These are some of the best doughnuts in Richmond. I dont typically give such high praise either. But after several visits I know this will be a repeat destination. Ive tried a variety of flavors and still cant decide on a favorite...and theyre open 24 hours a day.

This is one of my favorite donut places! I drive from Fredericksburg at least once a month to indulge in these tasty treats. Always a nice assortment of flavors to choose from. My favorite are the turnovers. They are huge and have pockets of filling throughout them. If youre ever in the Short Pump area of Richmond give them a try.

OMG (oh my goodness) lives up to legends. Huge, soft and yummy doughnuts 🍩 🍩. Today they were loaded with every flavor imaginable! Highly recommend. I would add pictures but we ate them to fast!

This is one of the best doughnut shops & best doughnuts in Richmond! The best time to go is on weekend...Sunday morning the doughnuts are freshest. Im a lover of Krispy Kreme but these gave them some competition. They have a variety of selections; the doughnuts are delicious, moist, & huge. I would definitely recommend this place!

Their apple fritters changed my life. If you and I and an apple fritter from Country Style were having a Good Soon incident, I would let you fall without hesitation. Their strawberry turnovers are in the same category: youre going over that cliff. There is a long line of terrible, awful things that I would do for the baked goods they have in their case...

Huge donuts. The place smells inviting of donuts. The apple fritter was awful. I have never had an apple fritter that was stuffed with pie like chopped apples. Gross! So disappointed.

The blueberry chip donut was very good as was the maple bacon. Not too sweet at all. The cinnamon rolls are giant. The other pastries looked really good and I cant wait to return so that I can try them. Thecoffee was excellent, no bitter aftertaste and just the right amount of sweetness. The employees are super friendly and very helpful.

This is the 2nd (new) location. Love these donuts! Same quality and taste and service as the original store across town. No competition for Country Style. Yum Yum YUMMY!

Donuts are great but too sugary, consider eating only half of one. The staff is friendly and provide good service.My only complain is that when closing the cups they put the whole hand (without gloves) onto it to put the cup lids.So, we had to change the cup lids!

Homemade, delicious goodness at its best!!! My favorite is the Crueller donut. More than 40 different varieties to try and that includes there donut holes and specialties. If you have not been, I highly recommend that you go. The value is certainly there, homemade deliciousness for pennies on the dollar!

15 September 2018 - We live in the Outer Banks and unfortunately have no real donut shops. I would kill for a place like this! Their apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are hilariously big, LOL. Definitely will be back!

Fantastic donuts. Apple fritter was great but beware of the filled donuts. Theyre filled to the max, which is great if thats your style.

The glazed donut holes were soft and fluffy. The cinnamon roll is huge and even at 5pm there was a good selection left!

We love Country Style, from the fact that theyre always open, to the fact that they have fresh donuts all day, and a very wide selection on top of that. The apple fritters are huge and delicious!

11AM. Chance of fresh donuts? Pretty small. But, what kind of donut did I get? The largest apple fritter Ive ever encountered (and yes, Ive specifically made it a goal in life to find the best apple fritter in the country). Not only was the fritter large, but it was soft, tasty, and filled with delightful apple filling. If that doesnt convince you, the price was jaw-droppingly low for a fritter that could feed a family of five with leftovers.Definitely worth checking out. I can only imagine the quality of the other donuts in the place.

They have a wide variety of donuts and this location (and their other location) are very popular, so be prepared for them to be sold out of some things. Ive had donuts from nearly every shop in North Carolina, from Krispy Kreme, Dunkin, Carolina Glazed, Monuts, Rise, Duck, you name it. When I travel I make it a point to eat donuts in the cities I visit and review them - Austin, Dallas, Las Vegas, Portland, New York, etc.

My bf and I got a variety, and while there are no super weird/far out flavors, he said all of their go-to flavors were pretty great! I dont actually love donuts, but I enjoyed the cinnamon sugar cake donut. He does love donuts though, and he enjoyed the chocolate one the most. His least fav was probably the cream filled just because it was really sugary and overwhelmingly creamy. But all around, 4-5 stars to Country Style! 🍩

You have to time your visit right to this place or Country Style turns to Country Stale!

This is a great place to get donuts at very fair prices and with great customer service. If I lived closer I would be in here ALL the time. I make it point, however, to stop by anytime Im on the area. Its rare you find a donut shop that does as many things right as this place does. :) thank you for being a great business!

My wife had a hankering for a good cinnamon bun but didn’t want something from a grocery store but rather something better. A friend recommended this place so we decided to give it a try. The cinnamon buns weren’t just good, they were GREAT - nice and fresh and not excessively glazed, with terrific cinnamon flavor. Before leaving we picked up donuts, an apple fritter and an eclair to go to share with family and friends. We’re pleased we have a new favorite spot for fresh pasties! 😋

Great classic bakery style donuts. Not fancy but probably the best basic donuts in Richmond. All the classic flavors (glazed, jelly, coconut, chocolate frosted, etc). Both cake and raised style donuts. Also a selection of enormous classic pastries (apple fritter, cinnamon roll, etc).

Went and got some donuts here, seemed like a nice little donut shop. We got a few each, and the ones we have tried so far are good, no complaints! The woman working there seemed in a rush to get done with us, but was polite. Overall, nothing amazing but if you want a good donut, then Id try them out.

No issues with the doughnuts at all. They are delish.I just got 3 glazed and with my own eyes i saw the lady at the register handled cash, cards and the iPad and then with the same hand and the SAME glove she grabbed 12 doughnut holes for a customer. Very UNSANITARY specially with covid. You need to work on this, this is not right. Make sure you keep an eye on her hands and request a new glove prior to grabbing your doughnuts.

Ordered online was easy delivered fast by grubhub. Guy was early and friendly. Donuts were fresh and great assortment.

Some of the best donuts i have had ( while fresh ).Pro:Some of the best donuts around.Con:Be warned any of the none glazed donuts ( ex: powdered or jelly filled )are pretty much only good for one day and then they are stale as can be.

Best donuts in Richmond! They generally have a decent selection any hour of the day and dont forget a giant eclair. Comparing to SS, I would take country style 9 out of 10 times. SS donuts are good but can be too much with all the toppings.
