The best. In every way. Clean store top to bottom. Staff is kind and helpful. The produce is beautiful and very underpriced. Same goes for the meat and seafood counter. Id go back even just for the hot sauce collection. Dont miss this gem

Apple market is a significant market for Mexicans and Latinos but they have a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in it a lot of the meats are frozen and they have great seafood at reasonable prices something that I love and the market is clean so you know Im loving that maybe some of you people that will read my comment go there and check it out its reasonable too

Trashy place. Nasty foods and disgusting attitudes go to with it all!!! When checking out the lady had the audacity to sit on the phone while checking me out! I dont know if this is normal practice in Mexico but this aint Mexico! I know that! Very Unprofessional!

Big app I love the Big Apple it had all kinds of fish meat vegetables from all over the world and the salmon steaks the fried pork skins it was the most enjoyable place Ive ever been to I have pictures that Id like to show you guys also everything in that was fresh and it was so nice and the people are nice also and you are will be in awe with your shopping pleasure

I can always find my international foods and spices here. They also have things i get to try for the first time. People cook up Spanish delights you can try. They also sell things theyve crafted. Whether its groceries you need or practically anything else, you will find it here!

Really fresh produce. Items that are hard, or nearly impossible, to find elsewhere (like ham hocks).

Is a beautiful place it has all kinds of fruits vegetables from foreign countries that have all kinds of fish crabs Lobster salmon whatever kind of seafood you desire what kind of food or pork skins thats bigger than your arm that you can cut and break they have a great selection of beer and wine just all kinds of foreign things that you wouldnt think that you would find at that store the Big Apple is something to be wild about

This place is crowded I never saw so much meat piled up I was wondering were was the ice.It smells remind me of and outdoor contaminated market in the slums.

It has a great variety of fruit and vegetables. A lot of which I became familiar with in the Dominican Republic. Very tight aisles so very little social distancing. Right now they dont have any fresh meat. But they do carry whole lambs, pig everything including a whole head, in their frozen food section.

This store is very convenient for neighborhood shopping but seems very over priced.

This super market has so many different types of things you cant find in most grocery stores. I love getting my oxtails from here I get a pound for about 20 to 21 dollars.

Staff is rude and ignore you and continue to yap and cackle in Spanish. Cashiers openly mock you in Spanish, and majority of the food is not translated to English. They also seem racist to coloreds😡 The name of the store does not represent Newyork city or any American market well at all. They should call this place, big mexico or maybe shady Guatemala . Very displeased at what this store has become. (You cant finally get a job as an immigrant here and simply decide you are better than the residents of the surrounding area)(even if all your grocers do practically own the trailer park across the street) If it didnt work in Mexico it shouldnt work here! Just awful!

Love the meat n seafood section. Workers in the seafood section. Are very nice, helpful and quick. I go there all the time for my fresh meat and produce. Management however sucks. More than 3times l have bought sugar cane and when l get home and cut it up, the insides are bad and have to throw away. The last time l took pictures of it since l had to throw the whole thing away. My next trip there, l showed it to one of the Asian guy whom l believe is not a floor member because l go there a lot so l know. He pretended he did not understand what l was talking about. He smiled, shrugged his shoulders, stirred at me and walked off. I know very well that he knew what l was talking about.

Staff unfriendly. Stood at the fish stand and 2 female staff members ignored me for a few minutes. Walked around and came back, they still never acknowledged me and continued to speak with each other. Poor selection of fresh fish. Excellent selection of spices. But I will not go back. Do not recommend.

Not the best prices in town, they have most items if your in the area and in a pinch.

L used to love them but their customer service sucks especially on the phone. They will answer the phone and tell you to hold on, then they put it down and start checking people out or talking. So my latest incident is today was driving from the airport to go pick up some crab, fresh or frozen (whichever they have available). then l remembered that l stopped by last week and they were out of them so l better call and check first. They answered my call and l asked and was told to hold and waited for 5mins, no answer so l turned around to drive back home. 15mins later and close to home, the call was ended. l called back and asked again, talked to 3 people and lets just say l got off the phone without an answer. so l love them but their phone service sucks so this rating is for that service. beginning to like new grand mart more and more.

They have a mid-size produce section. Mostly accommodated to the hispanic culture of food. Cheap produce though. Some asian groceries and seasoning. (Small section.)Here and there on some items are a bit pricey. Some freezer foods and mexican beer. Not really my go-to store.

Everything foreign

One of Richmond s best grocery stores this is an ethnic treat ! Our Latino community has put it all togather for flavor that is hard to beat!

The store has items you cannot find somewhere else, but cleanliness is lacking. Quality of produce is not the best. Smells bad.

This is a Latino Market that my wife and I who are both African-American love to visit because of our interest in Hispanic food there Seafood and Meat Department are particularly interesting

Its pretty cool that the Koreans takes a like to the Latino community, I like that alot! Prices are a bit high but its the price we pay for comfort foods!! Didnt have the real spanish chorizo but they made an attempt to order it, and that to me its going the extra mile for customer service! THANKS BIG APPLE, YOURE AMAZING!!!

Fresh produce, good fish.

Its located in a shady place, so beware & lock your car. It looks run down on the outside & its not really any better inside. As soon as them squeaky doors open the pure foul smell of funky fish welcomes you dead in your face. The fruits & veggies are cheap & usually fresh & the carneceria is well stocked, that is the only things worth 5 ⭐. A lot of items on the shelves are EXPIRED. Ive witnessed a health inspector have 4 carts full of expired products, so check them dates!!! The cashiers are nice girls but need to learn that when they are in the process of assisting a customer that they need to cease their (chisme) convo. Go at your own risk ✌

This supermarket simply is a zero on my book. It stinks in here the whole place has a nasty smell and outside the parking lot sucks you have holes in the parking lot when I say holes I MEAN POT HOLES. I would never visit this place at all. Sadly the cashier was nice but her boss was rude cause he yelled from the office above.

The store is always stocked with fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, the prices on these things arent to bad. The employees are very friendly and they are bilingual. I dont like that the cost of milk is $5, which is too expensive and it smells really bad...

I love this place it reminds me of the stores in Miami just smaller and less variety. I cook a lot of carribean food so this is one of the few places in Richmond where carribean seasoning and products are found. Richmond could benefit from more markets such as this one!

Yesterday was my first time visiting this store. I really wish I knew about this store sooner. Cluttered but I found some meats and fruit that are hard to find otherwise. I will definitely be making this a routine stop!

I love the store been going there for over 10 years,but today the young Spanish girl that work at the 2 Nd register was very rude.

Bathroom was a horrible mess. As was the store itself. Dirtiness everywhere. I chose not to use the restroom and had an obvious change of mind to not make my purchase. 2 stars because they did have a good selection of items.

Great varying produce and quality products

I am glad we now have a grocery store near us but first time there, went to deli, customer before me wanted a price on an item and the employees were unable to find. I however did enjoy the deli sandwich i got. Went today and a customer asked the price of onions. The employee said didnt know and waleked off. Customer then reached out to another employee who bent over backwards to find a price for her. Big Apple needs to make sure signage is up and available. Check produce..i brought home strawberries and one was molding. I give them a 2 because they just started up and want to give them a chance. Plus while I witness employees being rude, the ones i delt with were friendly.

If you are looking for Latino or Aisian foods its a go to place. Staff doesnt speak any English so getting assistance was a challenge.

I found aloe vera leaves here! Big Apple is only 5 mins from me, whereas I use to go all the way across town to Publix 30 mins and traffic. And also a lot cheaper!

Lol we all know there is no way to get around it..however i do love the fruit n veggies..the best in richmond and the price for most is reasonable..i dont eat meat from there due to the fact i shop at halal markets but its still a little high but cant complain considering the fresh produce is cheap.its not a mexican store..owned by Koreans but mexican workers..smart move
