Great local sweet spot. Owner is super nice. Gelato is amazing. Give them a try. Everything made to order and fresh, so it may take a few minutes but its well worth the wait.

The waffles and ice cream were amazingggg! Definitely a must try in Richmond. The place is kept very clean and organized. The owner was awesome and super nice to our big group.

My son and I visited this place tonight for the first time. We found it through Google search because we wanted ice cream and so glad that we did. It was absolutely delicious! The owner served us and was extremely friendly. He was easy to strike up a conversation with and great with kids. Also, its hard to find places that stay open late and they are open until 10:45pm every night except Tuesdays. We will enjoy returning to try all the unique and delicious flavors they have again. I definitely recommend trying them! 😋🍦

Ordered a strawberry gelato in a brioche bun! The gelato was very delicious and the owner was delightful to talk to. They are very short staffed though, so if there are long waits, please be understanding.

Heard a lot of good things about this place, finally gave it a shot. Went with a Cereal Swirl with Reeses Puffs and Banana Nutella Gelato. *Chefs Kiss* Never knew I needed frozen dairy and cereal in my life, but theres no turning back now. Definitely gotta go back for more.

Best Gelato weve had in a long time. I loved the service Ali provided. We waited for a bit in the queue but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Do try it once, I am sure you will want to go there again. I know I DO!! Unique flavors and they have new flavors everyday. If you are not sure about what you want, Ask Ali, and he will recommend you the best ones that day!!

This place is amazing! The selection is fantastic and the customer service is spot on. The owner suggested we try all flavors, helped with recommendations, and spent lots of time talking to us. This is what makes new and local start ups so great! Plus, it tasted perfect and there were so many great combinations to be made. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who likes desserts!

The gentleman at the store provided really great service! The Gelato is also the creamiest I have ever had thus far. The place is also very clean and I saw them wiping down the counters after every party going in and out of the store. Currently they only allow one party of people in the store at a time.

Wow. I went here just wanting some ice cream and before I left I was already saying I am excited to go back. The owner was awesome and laid out how options work. VERY yummy gelato flavors that are unique but not offputting and some fun toppings including unicorn swirls(mini vanilla hersheys kisses that were blue and purple). Love little places like this and I will definitely be going back- with friends!

What can I say?...this place was so good!...we got the waffle desert for my pregnant wife and she loved it!...I got the marshmallow ice cream with the pecans and cookies...so good!... highly recommend!!

My husband and I stopped here last night to try the gelato panini and it was amazing! We live close by and are so excited that we have this spot to come to now. I went here today for my birthday. It was also my first time. I got a bubble waffle with cotton candy gelato. This was hands down the best dessert I have ever had. It’s worth every penny. The place was super clean and the employee was extremely nice. I will definitely be coming back! 10/10

So we just finished eating dinner in downtown Richmond, I wanted something a little different for dessert and started to look around. Moon Rocks Gelato came up. I tried the gelato cereal swirl. Delicious! I mixed cinnamon toast crunch with tiramusu Gelato and ate everything!

Great way of social distancing has been implemented here. The flavors are great and they keep bringing in new flavors/rotating older flavors. It is really great place to go to for dessert.

The guy who was serving was amazing. He gave us thorough description of all the gelato flavors. Yes there was a bit of wait but his customer service was excellent. He took his time to explain each of his customer what they had on menu. Ice was delicious with unique flavors. Highly recommend!!

Ordered $60 of ice cream. Waited an hour in line for pick up. Staff informed us they were out of chocolate. Couldn’t answer what that meant...chocolate cookie or chocolate ice cream or the chocolate sprinkles. The staff were bizarrely rude. Then called us later from a personal cell to tell us not to ever return. Stalker. He need not worry. Won’t be back. Door dash won’t service them anymore. Telling.

This is the best gelato I’ve had in a long time. The experience is best in town, bar none. They’re super friendly and will let you try the gelato (covid- safe). They have a rotation of flavors and honestly you can’t go wrong with any combination (or individual flavor) I have gotten the passion fruit lemonade & mango, the second time I got passion fruit lemonade & peach. Stop reading and come here!

Moonrocks is a scoop of heaven on any given day! I love it because the flavors change daily & theres always a new creation so I have a new favorite flavor everytime.Please keep in mind this is an independent owner operated business & he works hard but due to COVID only one party at a time is allowed in so there is a little wait, but I promise you its worth it!

The owner of this establishment has a psychological disorder. I placed a $60 order via DoorDash. An hour later my very kind and professional Dasher sent me a text to say that there was a line outside the door and he would be here ASAP. A few minutes later I received a phone call from a number I did not recognize, and upon answering my confused Dasher said there was an issue with my order as ... they were “out of chocolate”. I asked for clarification as to what chocolate they were out of, i.e. cookie, gelato, syrup, sprinkles, etc. as they were all part of my order. The owner then chose to violently yell about me not understanding how his establishment operates and then acused me of me being confrontational. He proceeded to call me from his personal number and then threatened me not to ever enter his store in the future. Wow. Having a temper tantrum in front of a Dasher, my kids, my company, and whoever else was in the store at the time is incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. FYI this is the first time I have ever left a review and I hope the last.

The gelato here is the best in Richmond! I wish I had posted pics of what we got. But, the flavors were just amazing. I hope this place stays around for a long time. They rock!

Went there with my daughter and her roommates as part of her birthday celebration....got to taste many samples and portions were very generous...this has been added to our list of places to go when we visit her on campus!

Stopped by here for a late night dessert while visiting Richmond and the gelato was delicious! The service was great as well and we really appreciated that they were taking good social distancing precautions. We will be back next time we are in town!

Went to go get some ice cream and online it says closes at 10:45 and the sign on the door also says 10:45. The guy in the store that was closing show up early tonight was rude for no reason so happily taking my business to Bev’s ice cream :)

Came in 6/23 and was greeted by a gentleman. As my first time there, he explained the whole menu to me. I got the white chocolate raspberry with a warm sugar cookie underneath. First bite I fell in love. The ice cream was so good and loved the customer service. WILL be back!

I got the peanut butter gelato waffle sandwich. May not be as extravagant or colorful as some of their other dessert desserts but HOLY COW is was one of the best things Ive ever put in my mouth.

Such a cool little ice cream shop! Definitely a new spin on gelato. They have a lot of options with freshly made waffles and also incorporating cereal. Great, friendly service. The only downside is there is no indoor seating, but on a nice day/evening you can sit outside.

I just so happen to drop by on its 1yr anniversary. So this companys anniversary will always be my 1st visits anniversary as well. So cool, right? 🤗🤗🤗 Owner was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and enlightened me on a variety of things, including The Mexicos vanilla bean. The inside decor was beautiful as well. And now for the best part, I dont even like shakes, about 4 sips is satisfying for me. BUT THIS GELATO SHAKE THO?? 🤤🤤🤤 I cant believe I finished it b4 I got to my next destination. Cant wait to come back and try something else 😋 Best dam shake Ive ever had in life. And thats saying something coming from a person who doesnt care for shakes, or icecream

Nice small place for a quick gelato. The place is new and they tend to change out their flavors every once in a while. Its pretty reasonable price-wise too. Would recommend anyone to stop by this new shop and experience it themselves.

Im not a big fan of ice cream. Itll probably always be my last choice dessertwise. I will most always choose some type of pastry. But this place is AMAZING. They have the best red velvet ice cream Ive ever had with huge bits of red velvet cake! And if you like carbs, brioche ice cream sandwich or a waffle is also an option:)
