I had a very bad experience here. While they were friendly and willing to fix my car they talked me into doing the snap loan without explaining it fully. The way they explained it to me was I had 3 months to pay off my loan and then they would start charging me interest. According to my billing statement I actually owe twice what the repairs cost me . If it had been explained to me correctly I would never had let them work on my car. I had just over $1890 in repairs done and will end up paying $4100 by the time its all said and done. Never going to shop at Plains Tire again.

Ray and Tony were generous and helpful on a very human level. I was passing through on my way to Denver, and my car had begun to rattle. I pulled into their shop shortly after closing. Tony was on his way out the door to go home. He and Ray both expressed concern about my driving with an unknown issue through the many miles to Casper and beyond and started working on my car immediately. They diagnosed and fixed the problem in an under an hour. Both of them, at the very end of their work day, when the shop was supposed to be closed, helped ensure an out-of-towner safety on the road. They did all of this with a warm and welcoming friendliness. From their generous humanity to the efficiency and effectiveness with repair, I give them the highest recommendation.

California to Northern Wisconsin .. Broke down outside of Riverton in my Lexus on a Friday night, made it to Plains Tire on Saturday morning. They were able to source the parts I needed and extremely helpful . Highly knowledgeable staff, very professional and willing to go the extra mile to help. They got me pointed in the right direction and I was back on the road home shortly after .. staff were great to deal with . I had been very happy with the service Ive received, both in tires and mechanic work, until recently. Last fall I had work done on my truck and was charged for a battery. The battery was never put into my truck and Ive had countless issues since. I spent time and money trying to find out why I continued to have electrical issues with my truck (not to mention not knowing if something was going to go wrong and Id be stranded). I finally took my truck to a different mechanic and the battery in my truck was never replaced. When I asked them for an explanation, they were irritated it took 10 months to figure out they had scammed me and they called me a liar (despite photos of the battery that was original to my truck and date stamped). They did refund me the money for the battery I never got, but not the labor for installing it or trying to fix problems we hadnt realized where from the bad battery that I kept telling mechanics was brand new.

These folks were kind, efficient, they patched my tire for free, and they even had an adorable corgis greeter. Many thanks!

Ordered 4 tires over two weeks ago, and still no tires. Pre paid. Canceled the order today. Been going there for a long time. Cant believe that you cant get tires from a tire shop in less than a week. Place down the street also a tire shop has 54 of the same tires on hand. And 250.oo dollars cheaper. Wont be coming back.

Balancing was excellent as well, truck is nice and smooth going down the road. Had a bad experience a couple of years ago with a pickup theyd done work on, charged over $1,000, had it several times over a 10 day period for the same thing, and never actually fixed the issue. Had to go to corporate to get refunded, after taking pictures of the timing chain cover which should have been replaced, simply to find that theyd instead put silicone around the leaking area.Fast forward to last week. I bought 2 tires online, figured Id give them another chance, and had them put the tires on my car. They were friendly enough, but within 5 minuets of leaving the shop my hubcap must have flew off my car, and was lost. Not a huge deal, but that should have been put on better. Two days later after I got it out on the highway I noticed a shaking in the front when at 55+mph. I thought it was maybe the tires, but when I took it to a different tire shop, they said that neither tire was balanced properly. So I was out $55 from plains, $30 for center hub cap, and $25 to balance tires correctly. $110 to essentially get 2 tires put on wheels.On a side note, one of my old co-workers was there that day to get air added to his spare trailer tire. He waited over 2 hours as someone supposedly threw away his tag, so theyd basically forgot about him, and admitted as much even though he was standing in the lobby while he waited.It may just be my bad luck with them, but I will not be going back to them any time soon, and will not suggest anyone else go to them either.

Had a set of tires put on last week got the truck back and drove to Dubois. Was not a good experience something was very wrong. went back to Plains and talked to David the manager. Ended up putting a new set on, there were some issues about how it all played out that i wont go into other than to say i left there not very happy. the next day I called David back and we discussed the situation long story short David and the people of plains tire in riverton showed incredible integrity and honesty in solving the situation and give them high marks for the way it was handled thanks guys I will be back

Ray, Ray, Ray (the manager)!!! He is one awesome guy over the phone and in person! Reviews cannot explain how happy I am right about now. I rescheduled twice and he still took me in on my time. Car felt great, way better then I had run her down too and on the way home it still had a problem. Notified him and he said bring in, I did so and they was right on it!! Need new tire(s), all wheel-drive but the service before took most of my funds and I was tapped out till my next payday. However, if your in need of just the slightest help they have their 20% Down on Layaway tires. Long story short, Ray is the man and me, Im back on the road and back to work. I truly can not express how thankful I really am to choose Plains Tire. I got reviews from others on their service and was a little bit if-y but they saved my butt from walking. Thank you tire god!! Ive been taking vehicles here for at least 10 years. Ive never had an awful experience with them. The last time I was in, I needed a tire rotation, and I needed it fast. They had me on the road in plenty of time for me to make it back to Lander to get to work. Theyre really good about doing a full vehicle check every time Im in, and letting me know what maintenance is coming up and ferrying me an estimate. I highly recommend Plains Tire!

Took my car to Plains Tires in Riverton 02/01/2020 for and oil change, fluids topped off and my tires rotated. That went well. On 02/08/2020 I stopped by because my window washer didnt spray fluid. They pulled it into the bay and Ray came out to the lobby and asked me if I parked in a garage, I said yes, Why? He told me the mechanic said my fluid was frozen and I asked did washer fluid normally freeze since they are the ones who filled it 1 week prior. He said no they were checking to see why. He came back in to tell me the pump in the reservoir was bad and needed to be replaced. He checked around and found the part and told me the total repair would be $353.00. I said wow and would like to talk to my husband about it and have to let them know. I said I would pay them what I owed and get back with them. I asked Ray which parts store had the part and he said he couldnt remember. Ray said it would be a few minutes because the mechanic had already started tearing it apart. He then printed instructions on how to change the motor, handed it to me and told me he was being helpful but still wouldnt tell me what parts store. That cost me $47 and something and I asked what that was for and Ray said for the diagnostics, okay gave him my debit card. When the mechanic brought my car out of the garage and parked it out front Ray saw washer fluid on my windshield and ask him if he hooked the back washer to the front window and he stomped through the lobby and back to the garage and barked, yeah I guess so. I turned by back washer on and the fluid sprayed on my front windshield. Hum, what about that? When I left I thought about checking to see if the fluid was in fact frozen so I popped the hood in their parking lot and there is about an eighteen inch hose to the top of the reservoir so how would he know the fluid was frozen. Went back in and ask Ray how he could have poked his finger through the ice in the reservoir? He went back in the garage and ask the tall, scruffy faced mechanic how he had done that. After a few minutes and watching through the window to the garage the two of them obviously having words, Ray came back and told me the mechanic said he assumed it was frozen. I told Ray, you know how this looks dont you and he apologized and told me wasnt a mechanic. AND THEN, my car wouldnt start. Dead battery. I went in and told them someone better get my car running!!!!!!!! I was mad as hell. Mechanic jumped my car, I shut it off, tried to start and no, he jumped it again told me I had a weak battery. Seems a little strange doesnt it? I guess Im done with Plains Tires in Riverton.

The service at Plains tires is top botch, they helped me find the perfect tires for my car. They truly care about their customers and always make sure that they give you the best quality tires for your car. Ray truly makes sure that you receive the best quality service, he will even finance you tires if you can’t afford them. I’d highly recommend going to Plains for any of your car problems!

Plains was a fabulous experience. Labor Day weekend they were quite busy, but graciously fit my car in to check out my very low tire. They cooperated as a team and had a positive attitude even though it was the end of the day. Thank you for service with a smile.

Came in for the brother because of the pandemic, a new set of tires, nice and simple, should be quick and easy right? Two customers ahead of me, shops relatively quiet, one more person comes in after me, heard the convo go usual, this dude that came in after me should be served after me then,,, cool, the 2 first customers are serviced, cool, I’m next... oh boy was I wrong lol,, got served last, haha, yeh,, unless they can make up for it or something I’m not recommending this place nor coming here for any of my automotive needs. For reference, the discount tire I usually go to in Lawrence, KS for my automotive needs for when I’m at college were more communicative and faster service in a higher traffic area. Bad personal experience at this plainstire.

Bought a new tire a week ago and mysteriously ran out of air got stranded on the highway. Called Plains in Laramie they cant come to us but if we can get it to him they can fix it. Get to a gas staion for air drove it to Plains onky for them to tell us I have to buy a new tire. No warranty on it supposedly nothing. Even sppke with the district manager just to get a screw you. Worst experience and worst customer service ever i will not be returning to any Plains Tire.

I came in for a low tire and found that I had two screws in one tire, and the tire was not repairable. Being on a tight budget, I was overwhelmed; my options were limited. Nathan was very understanding and not only helped me find the most inexpensive route, I was able to afford 4 new ones, but was gracious, making me feel less embarrassed and more comfortable. The service was fast, the crew was friendly and my tires are great.

Really amazing customer service. I took my car in with a horrible oil leak because we couldnt make it any further and they said they would look at it for us. Unfortunately they were not able to get it fixed but they gave us a really good discount. And when it completely failed again just outside town they gave us a full refund on labor. Really good guys, I would highly recommend them.

Always great service! Alignment in 30 minutes! Kudos to the mechanics. Nathan is the man. Courteous and knowledgeable. One of the few places left that thanks you for your business. Lander is closer, but Ill always make the trip to Plains Tire in Riverton. Keep up the good work!

The service I had with them today was awesome. I had spoken with Missy a couple of weeks ago to get an estimate pricing on tires that I was looking to buy for my 4 runner. Missy is very easy to talk with and gives a full explanation on the tires. She did suggest some tires with price which I purchased today. Everyone there is very friendly and makes you feel they appreciate your business. The service was great! Yes I would recommend Plains Tire to all my friends.

Unlike a lot of folks, these guys won’t rob ya blind on made up issues, and the advice they give is genuine to your interests rather than they’re wallets. I had a very long wait (over two hours) when I was told before making the 24 mile trip that they would be able to get me right in. But I was mostly happy with the service and I was happy with my purchase.So unfortunately Ive have to change my rating of this place. I took my truck over the other day (3-4-19) to get a alignment because I had just replaced the tie rod ends. They got it right in but about 30 minutes later one of the employees came over to me and told me that the ball joints and tie rod ends will need to be replaced. I explained that the tie rod ends was just replaced and thats why the truck needs a alignment. He said that he will go talk to the person working on it and find out whats wrong with it for sure so I wait for a response. After 30 minutes or so another person comes over and says that the upper ball joints need to be shimmed but the will have to order them in. I say ok I will have to wait for now on them. But I will still like the alignment done and steering wheel re centered. A little more time goes by and I get told the truck is done. They told me the alignment was good and didnt have to adjust it so no charge. I asked about the tie rod ends and ball joints because they had said they needed replaced and I get a deer in the headlights look and no response. I jump in the truck and head home (24 miles away) and guess what. The steering wheel is still off center and the truck is still pulling to the right. Very disappointed after talking highly about them before.

Missy made sure to line us up with James and they 100% took care of us even tho we didnt have an appointment. Super friendly, easy to talk to and outstanding customer service. Both Missy and James went above and beyond to make sure we were safely on the road again. We cant thank you enough!

This has been my shop for years. Front desk staff is always nice. When meeting the technicians, they are always nice. I just wish they would recognize loyalty and make sure that deals are available to us loyal customers even out of season.

Looks real nice on the inside now, compared to before. Asked about some tires and got a decent quote.

Set me up with a great set of tires and said there was a 200 dollar rebate on them. They got me in as soon as they could. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is we weren’t explained how to go about doing the rebate or if there was any details we should know when we asked about it we were just told “fill out the sheet”.

Missy and Jon were very nice and helpful, stopped in with a sticking brake on our trailer after coming out of the mountains. They looked at it immediately and were extremely reasonably price. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through. Thanks for the help!

Traveling across Wyoming from the Grand Tetons two of our tires one front and one back, broke belts and it was great to find Plains Tire open until 6 pm on a Saturday. Missy was a joy to deal with, she helped us out with the best tires for our F250 Diesel truck, 10 ply for the weight and towing of our camper. If it was not more than 1000 miles to go back there I would purchase my next set of tires from them.

These guys helped us out so much. We were on our way to camp, and got our tire shredded. Its a Saturday night, and no tire place is open Sunday, plus we need to be back home in Utah on Monday. We got in ten minutes before they closed, and they treated us like royalty. Not only did they help us out quickly and efficiently, they genuinely cared that we got back on the road, even enough to stay a bit after they closed to help us. My fiancé and I have had an amazing experience with the staff at Plains tire. Today they were super busy but Missy was extremely helpful with getting our tire sensor repaired. James the technician worked really hard to get us in and out of there before closing and kept a smile on his face!!! We cant say enough about how well we were treated by both Missy and James... They put sensors on my tires and they wont connect with truck computer, they didnt get the hub on securely and it of course came off somewhere. Went back in and they said basically they put it on and they werent responsible if it came off. Just not impressed with this place and especially not customer service.

I noticed my car was pulling to the right, so I took it into Plains for an alignment. They were able to get me in right away, which was great, however they were not able fix the caster on the right passenger tire and the only explanation was, Theres no way to adjust it. They charged me the full price and I still have a car that pulls to the right. I guess Ill be going somewhere else from now on.

While out of town I ended up with a flat tire. Thank god for a man who took me back to town and helped me get to plains tire where the guys were so nice and helped me get back on the road. My wife and I got a flat tire on our car just before Riverton in early October. We were pulling a trailer. A small town we stopped at 20 miles or so up the road had no one who could do the repair but suggested Plain Tire. Boy was this good advise.I was greeted by Missy (sp?) and in no time Tony was on the job. Off came my tire, it was repaired (a nail), and back on it went and we were ready again for the road. Good people. Thanks to these two fine folks and also to a gentleman who helped facilitate things in the shop. I believe he was a supervisor (if not he should be).Stop in if you need work on your tires. You will be treated well.

Terrible! Charged me $90 to fix one spark plug, they kept my truck for a whole day to do the alignment and never even touched it. They left the major tubes on my engine loose enough to continuously lose air and power. Now my truck cuts out and has a new power steering leak. Highly do NOT recommend Rivertons plains tires!

I went into Plains to check tire prices.Missy was very professional and informative with multiple options for me. I will definitelybe buying from this store.

My husband and I got tires from here, i sat and over heard on many occasions the front desk help make rude comments to other customers, a blant attitude to any questions being ask about services. I dont recommend anyone to come here, pit crew are green horns and youll have to wait a significant amount of time before you even get the service your paying for.

Great shop Dave and Josh are both ASE certified Mechanics which is actually rare to yave two at the same shop. They work hard to fit you in. Ive come all the way from Lander 3 times because they fit me in the same day. And they xharge a fraction of what other shops charge for mounting and balancing tires and alignments with a 6 month warranty on the alignments. Curtious and professional services, unfortunately other shops havent figured that out yet.

Traveling through and had a shimmy in the car. They got me right in, fixed it fast, and got me back on the road in a hurry. Great service!
