🛍️ Shopping with my wife. Visiting from out of town on our Wedding Anniversary. This is the very time I have ever gone to a J C Penny store and found it looking like this. Wow!

I have severe COPD. I found a dress I wanted to try on. I went to the fitting room. Sign said temporally closed go to junior dept. So I did. Of there was another sign sending me elsewhere. And what do you know another sign. And, of course there is not one employee to be found. So as I was putting the dress back an employee walked by. I said excuse me could you please tell me where the fitting room is. She acted as if I were bothering her, then she starts telling about the same fitting rooms Ive just been to. I told her they were closed. She said I guess will have to go upstairs like everyone else. Would it be to hard to put a sign at the downstairs fitting rooms saying, FITTING ROOM OPEN UPSTAIRS. I did buy the dress only because it was exactly what I was needing at the time. Otherwise I definitely put it back.

JCPENNY is not what it use to be. They hardly have anything for kids clothes. I am very disappointed in what this store has become.

Went to salon. Saw Gwen for a partial perm. Love it. She is the best.

Poor/minimal selection. Drove 2 hours to come here. Was disappointed. Not one staff member spoke to us. Clean store. Wont be back.

The store was clean and people were wearing masks. There was a lot of foot traffic (maybe cause it was the day before mothers day) and the line to check put was a little long but besides...great selection and good coupons

I like shopping at JC Penney because they take coupons and use rewards. I always find good deals here.

Some really cute skirts and tops. They closed out jc penny at home. It was nice to shop around a little bit.

The customer service from the cashier was excellent. He helped me apply for a store credit card which saved me 40% off my entire purchase. He was fast, friendly and informative. His input during my initial purchase caused me to go back into the store and spend more money. (The only I didnt give 5 stars is because I had to wonder around the mens department for a while and didnt see any store personnel to help me find what I needed....couldve been on break possibly and not necessarily a flaw in customer service). Overall, great experience.

People take their sweet time when checking you out.

1 of the dirtiest stores Ive ever in in my life. No employees only 2 registers open in the whole store. Clutter with all the Clothes. Still have winter clothes out. I see why they are going out business. Jcp was my first full time job in 1984 and it was nothing like it is today. Over priced clothing line.

Terrible checkouts,only 2 clerks working on 2nd floor,Went down to 1st floor, the register at the entrance was not even on.Probably could have walked out with merch. Went back upstairs still a long line, put shirts back on shelf and left.

Nice clothing, neatly kept...just not like a few years ago (as us teue with all stores) few and far between associates to speed up the shopping process. Probably enhancing it and want to return more often.

Went with my wife. Stopped by the hair salon. The lady working couldnt take her money for the 100.00 bucks worth of products. She said nobody working the register. So how was she gonna get paid for the haircut she was doing. Wow poor management

This is your classic JC Penney store in the Valley View Mall.The selection is good and the store is one of the larger locations. However it never seems to be that busy here. Basically they cant compete on price with the internet.

Christmas eve, not very busy. I should have known then. The guy at the register was awesome. Turned out to be the highlight of my experience. He was extremely helpful, courteous, sense of humor, and proper attitude. Seemed like he wanted to be there, working, on Christmas Eve. ( Im calling bs on wanting to be there, although his actions were what every manager everywhere is looking for) Nothing else to say nice. I know why its not the JC Penney Thanksgiving parade 😁

The JC P Penneys mens area team was excellent they was courteous nice and very helpful.

Long lines for black Friday but the associates were very kind, helpful & friendly. They were working as fast as they could while being efficient at scanning your items.

Would give a 0 if could. ordered several items, got a confirmation email that all items was shipped and then received a partial shipment. called customer service and was told 2 items may have been forgotten when packing my order. was told to wait and see if they are eventually delivered if not call back. was told this happens alot. no communication saying certain items would not ship so basically just waiting to see if they send these items or not. poor customer service. will not order from jcp again

Ive been looking for a pair of Levi Jeans for a year,an off size. But JC Penny at Valley View Mall had them. I was so happy. Ive been shopping at JC Penny for over 40 years. Keep up the good work. Lets get shoppers in the stores.

Went black friday shopping at this store and was very disappointed. I tried to by a couple of mens shirts only to find out from the cashier i couldnt get the discounted price unless i tried to sign up for one of your cards. So the shirts got left.

Quiet. Not really any employees around, just one at the checkout desk at the entrance. Needs dusting. Its been open for 10 min. the day I went and things, especially the shoe department, was already in disarray🤦 It seems like they arent cleaning as you would expect with the Covid-19 still around😒

They have made a comeback and I am glad. This store is well kept and well supplied. I like the fact they still have a large mens clothing area including suits and sports jackets, dress pants. There Stafford T-shirts, are great quality.

Ive always loved this store! Also, the sales they offer on a lot of their items are too good to pass up, which says a lot about a department store in the mall (usually known for being expensive). They also have a makeup store inside however i unfortunately cant think of the name of it. I want to guess and say Sephora but dont quote me....

Great store, love to shop at JC Penney. Great sales. I buy all my hair products there, always have great prices. So nice to have Sephora in this store. Buy all my makeup there and colognes. Manager in Sephora is wonderful. Always so helpful. So happy it has re-opened.

Went looking for jeans, unless you like skinny or torn up with holes all over I would not recommend going here for any type of pants.

Highly disappointed!!! There wasnt anything that I could live without except they have one thing that they carry is St .Johns Bay womens t- shirts that I always have liked that brand but other than that- they absolutely have nothing and their sales are not anything to root for. I still think its pricey even an item was on sale. To me when they put Sephora in, it took away lot of things. I wont be going back. I much rather shop somewhere that has great sales with knockout prices like Belk! Its ashame that it isnt like it used to be.

Ordered suit Oct 16.Jacket was cancelled because it was out of stock -- not noted at time of order ! Did not say backordered.Whole order was to arrive by Oct 25 when order was placed.Email then said it SHIPS by Oct 25. BIG DIFFERENCECalled immediately after receiving confirmation email, customer service could not ship any earlier.So now it is OCT 30 and I have neither pants or jacket!!!BY THE WAYEvent was Oct 26.WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS STORE AGAIN

Great place to shop if there is one convenient to you. Not as higher quality merchandise as used to be. Not much difference in it and walmart now.

Once again as always Peggy in the salon did an outstanding job with the cut and color I had done today. Also Gwen gave me an awesome gel manicure I live for. Perfect results every time. I highly recommend them!!!!

Used to love Pennys but you can never find anyone to help you. When they have really good sales the merchandise gets so messed up you cant find your size.

Went in-store to check on an item that was available online they ordered it for us with the same discount that you can get online awesine

The worst online ordering for store pick up ever experienced. Very unprofessional inexperienced personnel from their corporate online employees to their in store online department. I’m left feeling more like a victim rather than a customer. I placed an order for two items, only one came in. After 3 phone calls to the store and 2 calls to corporate, I decided to cancel both items. My credit card was billed and they refused to issue me credit over the phone, I have to physically go there for a credit on an item I never physically received. I don’t know of any major retailer that cannot run a credit transaction by phone. Ridiculous!

I think I feel a JC Penny come back! This company is doing just as good as any other in the mall from my, the coustumers, perspective!

I like the store okay. Havent been in a while so finding my size/type clothes were difficult to find but employees are willing to help. Prices reasonable. Clerk that waited on me was friendly. Some arent.

I like their selection. Juniors is fashionable and I can find things in their mens department that I cannot find elsewhere. I have not encountered a surly employee in the many years Ive been shopping there. The clearance sales are amazing!

Great store and awsome sales for Christmas...for example last weekend I bought 2 necklace s and 2 earrings sets for 10.00 each when the regular price was 49.99 each thats 200.00 in jewelry for 40.00 now thats a awsome deal... I just love yall... especially this time of year.. and having kids and a big family

I have always liked this particular branch of JCPenney. They have a wide selection, and a very large clearance section downstairs (my favorite, of course). I tend to park outside of the upper level of JCPenney when I come to this mall, as there is usually decent parking that is close. This JCPenney has a salon inside of the upper level entrance. You will have to walk the length of the mall to get to the food court from this store, so there is a cookie store directly outside of the upper-level mall entrance. This JCP also has a makeup store inside of it, I believe it is a Sephora.

Enjoyed going to ValleyView J.c.p. Since we lost our store a few years ago.. was able to find some nice deals. Very disappointed, the no longer carry petites, only online.. What is up with that?? Just disappointed..

Right.... where do I get started on this one. I never find anything here when I go to it even tho others sure do. So when that rare thing of me finding something that I like here comes it is always meant with ridiculous wait time in the lines and good luck trying to find an empoyee especially at lunch break time for them. I have seen teens literally play in the escalator and run in the store in theses times.

The cashier Justin was impersonal. Instead of getting and helping me with the item I needed he just told me where it was. Wasnt friendly at all.

I would give a ZERO if this would let me. Tanglewood is officially closed so I visited the Valley View location. This is their review just to be clear. Jacked up prices, rude staff, wont price match and low quality. Enjoy bankruptcy you sorry excuse of what use to be a great retail giant, and enjoy unemployment you sorry workers who obviously wouldnt last in a business with standards for their employees. Cant wait to see the next closing list!
