Great value on tools but they didnt have what I needed in stock. This is the second time this has happened. Perhaps COVID is affecting supplies.

I called ahead on December 7th regarding gifts for my husband. Mitchell was super helpful and very kind. He located one item in-store and special ordered the other item after I came to pay in-person. I stopped in today to pick-up the special order item and the store manager Ken could not have been nicer or more helpful. We have loved everything we have ever purchased from the Irondequoit location, and I am sure my husband will love his Christmas gifts! We definitely recommend this store and the staff. If you are a homeowner who needs a tool once in awhile this is the place to go. If you are a contractor some of their tools might be ok while others may not. Theres a big difference from using a tool now and again verses everyday. For a homeowner theyll hold up for years to come and priced a lot cheaper than those tools designed for Pros.

I purchased an electric impact drill and the sockets wouldnt fit on it after I got home. So I called the store and spoke to Rob who took the time to check it out with the display model and it worked for him. So he told me to bring it in and he would try to see what the problem was and said I could just return it if we couldnt correct the problem.So I took it right back and he checked it out and it turned out to be a problem with the size of the chuck (made in China). So we just swapped it out and I was very pleased that Rob took the time (twice) to correct my problem. Rob was very professional and his customer service was outstanding! Thanks Rob!!!

Amazing prices and never buy without coupons because things are always going on sale. I think everything in the store has its value but the offbrand tools can be hit or miss depending on the type of job you are doing. The power tools in particular will not stand up to competition but are still worth it for your standard home projects.

Had the items i needed so i was happy service was pretty decent as well.

Went in for a couple of poly drop cloths. They had what I needed in stock and easy to find. Checkout was minimal wait time and the cashier was friendly.

I will never again shop here! I bought some tools that I ended up not needing, showed up the next day to return them. They entered my phone number in wrong the day I purchased and couldnt find the purchase now, the manager looked at me like I was from another planet and told me they couldnt do anything about it. What store in america does this!? Hoke depot is across the street. Its worth the couple extra bucks.

Harbour freight I is great. I get all kinds of products they sell. I bought an 20 gallon oil drain tank two years ago. I have used it every work day and it still performs its job. Our cement floor at work is aged and its a bumpy ride for the tank but it makes it without ever breaking a Wheel.

Fantastic store! Only complaint I have is anytime I go to use the restroom, the vacancy sensor will go off after I am sitting on the can for sometime... To remedy the situation, I have to get up off the can and the sensor goes off. The manager should remove this sensor to avoid the potential for dumping in the dark.

Went to henrietta location to purchase a chop saw, the cashier said they were out of the saw I needed but she told me they had plenty at the Irondequoit location and informed me that there was a coupon on the app but if I cant find it then ask the cashier at Irondequoit to apply it. I walk into the Irondequoit location and immediately hear the phone ring, the cashier answers and tells the customer theres only 3 of us here so we dont have time to look for you, you should probably try again tomorrow. I immediately think yikes, thats terrible service. I find the saw and proceed to the cash register, as Im still looking for the coupon through the app I ask the cashier if she could help me. She said no I dont have the app she then calls over the manager and his customer service skills were worse than hers. He saidemployees shouldnt be telling customers about coupons and next time I see Ally Im gonna yell at her. This was a very unprofessional way for a customer service manager to speak, especially in front of customers.

Great items, huge selection for homeowner special up to professional grade products... The off brand tool products these days are well worth the price for quality. There is somethings that are just waste and better off buying name brand but a good 70% maybe even 80% of products will work great and last a lifetime...!!!

Love this place for cheap, good-enough tools. Especially their knock-off pelican cases which work just fine for miniatures and camera gear (being stored at home or transported in a car). Hate the way the store is organized, though. I always end up having to ask folks where stuff is.

The selection of welders was kinda limiting, & VERY expensive. Compared to name brands, like; Hobart, Lincoln, & Miller, the HF ones are lesser quality, for near same price. I duuno, i guess if your a 1st time welder or just for small jobs, yea sure, but not for ppl that do welding on a regular basis.

Had just what I wanted and needed.

Harbor freight is my go to place for tools, equipment and supplies for home repair, home updates, boat and auto projects. Although their tools are not the top notch commercial grade brands that cost you a lot of money, their products work well for home and light commercial applications at a fraction of the cost. I am also finding that an increasing number of their hand tools come with lifetime warranties, so low price and lifetime warranty, that is certainly a win-win.With the lower price, I am able to buy a wider range of hand and power tools for some jobs that I would have struggled to do well without. For example, I recently bought a coaxial cable crimping tool to add more TVs that was less than 1/5th the cost of a commercial grade crimping tool. Since I only needed to use it occasionally, it has worked out well and saved me money.I also purchased a new 4,000 watt generator that cost less than half of the cost to repair my old generator. The new generator is quieter, starts easier and is lighter than my old one and the warranty is better. How can beat better and cheaper!Harbor is also famous for offering discount coupons via mail, email or in the store. I also signed up for their “Inside Track” program that gives you member only pricing and promotions. If I recall the cost is about $29/ year, but my first purchase paid for the cost of the year with the discounts I received as a member.

This is my go to Harbor Freight store. Even though its 10 miles from my house Im probably in here two to three times a month. The store has employees that are very helpful. If they get one that isnt, they usually turn them over pretty fast. I think this is to the credit of the managers at this location who are almost all superb. I wrote in my review of the Henrietta location about how impressed I was with Harbor Freights district manager Mike. One of the main reasons I go to this more distant Irondequoit store is because of Joe C., the manager, who although I would hate to lose him at my store, I think would make an excellent next level manager for Harbor Freight because he is the most exemplary employee I know and over my decades of experience with Harbor Freight. Hes extremely knowledgeable. Hes diligent,organized and hard-working. He solves any problem. Hes always treated me fairly, but I have been even more impressed with the way he handles the various customer challenges Ive witnessed through all the hours I spend in this store. Ive never seen him behave any way other than in a friendly courteous and professional manner. This isnt a review about Joe, but since employees and managers do make the store, its worth mentioning specifically why I find this location particularly to my liking. And I do not know Joe, outside of HF, they only know this because I asked the cashier for it specifically for this review.

Affordable tools that are mostly well made. You dont come here usually for long lasting professional tools but some of them are. These stores are basically all Chinese made products.

Huge store with a fantastic variety- so much so that it is hard sometimes to go in for one thing and not come out with three or four things. I’ve been shopping here for many years. For the most part, the staff are courteous and helpful. There’s the occasional sleepy cashier, but they don’t last long. I have called the store many times and given them the item number of something on the website and they can tell me right away if it’s in stock at the store- saves me the shipping cost and a trip to the store to look for it.

With the help of very friendly employees I found exactly what I had hoped for. I went home with a power plunger and a power washer that were well priced....and a free tape measure!!!

Dont go in there to buy tools youll be using every day on a job site. If youre Joe Blow do-it-yourselfer they offer a great deal on everything youll need, and most items are replaced no question when they fail (which they will eventually). Store is always clean. Wait times tend to be longer here, but not usually unreasonable. One of the smaller Harbor Freight stores. If youre looking for a more unusual item you might want to head to Henrietta branch.

What can I say? Its tools. I would like this place more if they had a closer location to return broken tools. Other than that the staff has typically been helpful and friendly.

This is a good place to go if you need a tool for a one occasion type project. in other words, if you need a tool to only use once. this is because many of their tools are of generally poor quality although inexpensive. If youre shopping for a particular tool to last you a lifetime I would go and look elsewhere.

Great store. Most of the merchandise is decent quality and the cost is rock bottom. If you need simple tools, you can get them here way cheaper than at bigger name box stores. Power tools, your milage may vary, but Ive had good luck. And the sales are ridiculous.

With mobility issues, most stores get very large, especially if they have been reorganized since your last visit. However, the staff never hard to find and is always helpful for directions.
