I saw the Owner about 15 years ago on channel 2 and the simple fact that he makes mattresses the old fashioned way sold me on a Mattress but today I swing by the Store and was almost sold today but ya godda have your mate test it as well unless your single, Either way I will own one of these Quality Mattresses, & the warranty blows the competition away simply WOW! also If I could drop my self employment and work for this Company I know It would be a good thing as well. In 2005 we bought a lovely boat whose prior owners surely never spent a night aboard because the queen mattress was just an uncomfortable slab of dense foam. It simply had to go.But you can’t just go anywhere and pick up a mattress that fits your boat. Among other requirements, the mattress needed to be articulated -- to bend -- so that we could access storage under the bed.My research led me to Harbor Springs and Beds By Design, as the company was then called. Using kraft paper, I sketched a template of the space the mattress would occupy and provided measurements. We said we prefer a firmer mattress. A few weeks later, we drove from Detroit to pick up our new mattress.All these 13 years later, I can’t tell you which of the company’s current products matches the characteristics of the mattress they built for our boat, but I can tell you that sleeping on it yields the most restful sleep we get. Temperature and moisture fluctuations from hot Michigan Julys, air-conditioning, winter storage, and the close proximity of Lake Huron have had no adverse effect. The mattress is like new in every respect.I’m writing this review now because we were visiting Rochester, noticed the company’s newer location on Third Street, and decided to go in and share our enthusiasm. Now I’m sharing it here. Bottom line: Worth each pretty penny.
