There are several bad reviews pertaining to the owner but he was very welcoming and nice to me. I asked questions about many items and he seemed happy to talk to me about them. It is one of the best antique shops Ive seen with beautiful and rare things everywhere. And the prices are very fair. Definitely go in.

Earle Antiques is one of favorite spots to go in Salem... The owner, Tom and his sweet and friendly assistant, Susan are 2 good people! Knowledgeable from many years in the business...

The sweet old lady that works in this store is my favorite. She always greets me warmly, like an old friend. Ive seen the owner that most of the reviews mention being an awful person. Ive not talked to him. Ive also used an app on my phone to look up the silver content of several coins. Nobody suggested that I couldnt do that in the store.

What a beautiful and unique location for this antique store! Such a selection of high quality antiques and jewelry . This is definitely not a junky low end antique dealer. The owner obviously knows his stuff and for that reason and the quality of his product dont expect him to haggle with you. I mean, youre not shopping at a garage sale after all.

The only reason there is a second star in my rating,is because of the lady that works there being polite, pleasant, and most assuredly patient to stay in the employ of such an abrasive personality.the store, its wares, and and overall charm appeal in all key adpects, too bad the owners personality is as antique as his merchandise, in regards to social etiquette, and todays standards of customer service.

Arrogant and rude is the only way to describe the experience that both of the owner/operators conduct themselves with customers. They never return calls and generally quote prices after they have sized you up on your willingness to pay. An informed collector is not their preferred customer because their BS will not have the result they are seeking. Avoid this place if you have thin skin as you will leave feeling that you were never welcome in the first place.

Tom Earl is a nasty person! I have never met a person with less mouth control. This building should have a more deserving shop in it. I am sad that this man does well in a town that he has so much nasty things to say about.

I bought a pool table from him a number of years ago. We agreed that I could leave it there for a month prior to picking it up. I was in hospital at the time on the East Coast, and the house where the table was to be shipped was not ready. About half way through the agreed upon time period, I received a letter from his attorney that I had to remove the table immediately. When I tried to discuss this with him, he became enraged and hung up the phone. He lied, he cheated and cost me a bundle of extra money. He had agreed to ship and install the table. He did neither. He is a wack job. It does not matter what is either written or agreed to he will do what he wants without concern for the consequences. He ended up spending more on legal fees and in turn paying me for additional costs than if he had just stuck to his word and done what he had agreed to do. DO NOT TRUST HIM.

This dude is a complete joke of a business man and I really have no idea how he manages to survive as he has zero interest in customer service. Dont even waste your time opening the door.
