This was my first trip there with a used SUV that I had just bought. They didnt rush my service, but took there time wth topping off all fluids and checked all belts and hoses. Checked the tire pressure, washed windows and vacuumed the interior carpet, all for no more that Ive paid at another servicer for just having the oil changed Im now a customer for life now and I can drive my new, used SUV without worries and questions in the back of my mind about the fluids and wear and tear on belts and hoses. I have always had a great experience here until today when I knew what was wrong w my car an it was confirmed by a mechanic but was asked to go to speedee cause he couldnt do struts I bring it in they didnt even really look at it and didnt fix it neither now I cant drive until its fixed na I need my car to get around I have a family

This was one of the worst experiences for me. When walking into the business, the receptionist was very rude and had a nasty attitude. When I asked them if they could show me what was wrong with my car, they told me that they would but did not. The receptionist try to charge me for services that were not completed for my vehicle. After I paid for the services that were completed, I went out to look for my car and could not find where they parked it. I had seen them pull it around front, but it was not there. So I told the mechanic I’m looking for my car, and he told me oh it’s parked on the side of the road. They could have just told me it was there when they sat my keys on the counter. I honestly feel like I was treated that way because of my skin complexion. I will never in my life step foot on that property ever again. I do not mind paying for any services that I needed for my vehicle but customer service was the worst. And to be treated like i was beneath them bcuz I am black was wrong. A friend of mine was very unhappy standing beside me watching me get treated so unprofessionally.

I was told my alignment would take 1.5 hours. I was the next vehicle in line. I walked around four an hour and came back an additional car had put in front of mine. After arriving at 8 AM, my truck wouldn’t be finished until about noon. They didn’t care. I recommend going somewhere else if I you need auto care.

I was with a friend who car was service there we had drop her car off and came back the lady at the desk was very rude she did not even look at my friend when she was talking to her. We ask for them to explain what the problem was wrong with her car and ask to show her no one ever came out to explain or show what was wrong with the car. When after paying we went to look for her car could not find it and when asking where car was rudely told it was on side the road. They very unprofessional and rude.

I was at the Salem Va. location on 10-19-18, for an inspection for my Ranger. I was thrilled, with the excellent service I received. I was talking with the inspector, about my two antiques. Finally, I found a place that I trust to work on my classics. As well. as my driver. My experience was great. Right down to the very friendly cashier, that I paid for my inspection. Bravo! This SpeeDee shop, is a keeper.

I’ve been to this SpeeDee multiple times and have always been happy with their quick and accurate service. They’ve always been honest with me about what services might be needed in the near future, but have never lied to me in order to create business. Every item they’ve ever suggested for the near future was something I already knew was going to be needed based on the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance. They tend to politely offer me those services for my current visit and are respectful of I decline a service. They also seem to take great care in keeping their waiting area clean.

I took my car in for an inspection. I wasinformed that my vehicle failed inspection due to my window tint. I asked a simple question: Why are you failing for that this year, but y’all passed it last year and nothing has changed?I didn’t realize my question would lead to such an ordeal. The mechanic spoke to me rudely, telling me I was wrong, they had not passed it last year.When I arrived to pick up my truck, I was informed they had gone through my truck WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and found my receipt from last year (which was in fact from them). They blamed the misunderstanding on the fact that I had changed my plates... which I had NOT done! Then told me the sticker I had on my truck from last year wasn’t valid. My receipt from last year had an incorrect plate # and an invalid sticker ID# - the receipt THEY printed. I have been going there for years and some how my plates aren’t even in their system. I feel like they got one over on me by getting my $ for the inspection last year, giving me an invalid sticker, and then making more $ on the same sticker I truly paid for when they sold it to someone else. Makes me wonder if this happened before seeing as my plates weren’t in their system- I just didn’t catch it the previous times.Upon leaving, nobody ever apologized for anything, just told me I could come back after fixing my issue and they’d pass it... Now why in the world would I go back to that establishment after this? How could I be certain I was receiving a valid sticker? I will be going elsewhere from now on and I have informed my family members who are all customers to do the same!

Was a great place. Never had a problem getting vehicles inspected. The last time I was there the inspector tried to tell me my truck was missing catalytic converter and 3rd brake light didnt work. My truck was too old.

Driving on a long road trip, brakes were grinding, so they got us in immediately. Brenda was very kind and personable, kept us occupied and told us not to worry, and it finished quicker than we thought! All around great experience!

I recently had an oil change and an inspection. I was in and out within an hour. Everyone was very nice and told me exactly what they looked at and what I should get checked at another time. They didn’t try and make me pay more money for things I didn’t ask for, but asked exactly what I wanted to go ahead and get done as well as the cost of those things.

Had my vehicle inspected here and I was pleased with the service. Wait time was smooth. They also provided me with suggestions on services I may need in the future. Definitely trust SpeeDee with my ride :)

I had a gift card for $33.10 and wanted to verify the balance so I can use it to have oil change before school start and they said it no longer valid because they switch company for the gift card so I am out of $33.10. Such a shame for not honoring the card or giving a new card for the balance of card. No reason for invalid card bc company is a local business and it is not like they are going out of business for the card to be not honored.

I was in Salem Va on business, so in between my appointments I desperately needed to get my BMW serviced but you can’t trust just anyone to service a BMW due to the nature of how it has to be done.A very polite gentleman met me in the parking lot to ask how they could be of service to me so I asked him about servicing my car and that I was on a tight schedule to which he replied it was no problem to service my car and shouldn’t take long!In about 15 minutes they had my car in a service bay and a service tech came and ask me to come to my car (which I’m thinking there is something wrong) but to my surprise he just wanted to go over all they were doing to my car and to inform me of some manufacturers recommended preventive maintenance services that are coming due according to the mileage. He ask if I had any questions about the service being performed and assured me they would have me finished up shortly.They have a very pleasant waiting area with free coffee and rest room, tv to catch up on some news and vending machine for snacks.Overall a very professional experience here, right down to placing plastic over my seat and paper floor mat to insure not to get any dirt or grease on my interior and vacuumed my floor mat areas as well.KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE YOU PROVIDE!

Even though it is a little more expensive to get oil changed here, I don’t have to worry about them leaving the cap off and oil spews out all over my engine or them breaking my key fob and not telling me or tightening down the lug bolts which are put on crooked, like has happened to me at some of the cheaper garages. You get what you pay for here and that is good, honest service.

I went today for get my Oil Changed and when I went they did everything right. They were kind and attentive. But they took advantage of me when it came time pick what oil I wanted in my care. I ended up paying almost 43 dollars for something I thought I was going to pay 29 dollars for. They should explain the up charge, cause Im a college student I dont do oil changes alot yet.

Customer service was very helpful, but during the call I received a phone call from my locations owner who was apologetic for becoming hostile and not owning the situation during earlier conversation. He invited me to bring my vehicle in and he would take a look at it. I agreed to do so and they ended up replacing a few lug bolts and lug nuts free of charge.Im happy with the resolution, but Im not sure Ill patronize the business further.==========================================================OLD REVIEW:Rip-off artists.Took my truck for inspection and they rejected it, stating a new rear tire was needed. I knew this wasnt the case and took it to my normal garage who said the tire was fine, but warned that the rear right tire had been put on in a manner that disallowed a number of lug-nuts to be removed.This means Ill have to have lugs replaced which isnt cheap. Called SpeeDee Oil to make them aware of the mistake and they absolutely refused to own the issue.F-Will not repeat, would not advise anyone to visit. Unaccountable scam artists.

I always take my vehicle to the Speedy in Salem! They are knowledgeable, Trustworthy, and very friendly!

I was there for an oil change but I use Speedee for all my car maintenance. They let you know if your vehicle needs anything at all but they arent pushy about you getting it done.
