Love this crew! Devin, Jeremy and Brian are available and willing to help with any questions I might have. My favorite thing about this shop is that they treat my 3 grand kids with respect and dignity. I never have to worry about them being taken advantage of. As a card collector for many years I am thankful to have found this shop. I have bought and traded with them now for about 4 years now and this is my favorite shop!

Always get a good deal here. Friendly and knowledgeable customer service. One of the last true sports card shops. A landmark of Salem, really. Although Im not into Pokemon, its great that they feature those cards too, as well as other types of collectibles like the little vinyl figures. I shall return again and again. Thank you guys!

Came in here for my first time today; and It was a very nice experience. I collect pokemon and magic, and loved their selection; really nice prices as well. One of the gentlemen working there was extremely nice and had a nice conversation with me. Great store.

It has the potential to be a good shop. This shop gets something hot, that’s 20$ and Walmart and doubles the price. In our area this is hurting the hobby, stores literally stopped selling cards for the time being so you can’t get cards anywhere else and this guy knows it. You walk into this shop, you may as well just drop your pants and bend over.

Just went into this card shop not expecting a whole lot but the gentleman working was awesome and they had a decent amount of cards. He was also up front and honest about what they buy from customers so you don’t waste your time hauling in pointless cards.

Cool shop every card collector would love this store.. and the staff is friendly and nice and I just sold a bunch of cards to them and they give me better then I was hoping for... I will always come here now for cards...100 percent legit place ! Thanks guys

Best sports card shop in all of Salem! Biggest hobby box selection in Salem as well! Retail selection is pretty good too! Sometimes every store in Salem can be sold out of retail but not this shop. Awesome staff! Good lookin fellas too! I wouldnt shop anywhere else in Salem for hobby box cards!

I am so happy to enter the doors of this card and hobby store. It was like time traveling to a much simpler time. Nice selection of collectibles and trading cards. The guys were friendly and knowledgeable. The store was way busier than I thought it would be. Just the conversation about sports was a reason for me to come back and visit. Definitely worth a stop if you were into trading cards once upon a time.

The owner is a good guy and looks up what its worth if your selling anything and gives you good fair deals. Nice and respectful as well.

This store is what a hobby shop is all about. The owner is a great guy who always takes awesome care of his customers. There is a mini community with fellow patrons who happily have conversation. Supporting Salems only hobby store is my goal and I have no doubt that anyone who goes there for their first visit will be happy and return!

Their very nice and helpful everytime I go they purchase my cards and most of the time the boxes are under secondary market price and are always very nice definitely recommend this shop., When you walk in you always get this feeling as they are not just in it for the money and they are as well collecteries very knowledgeable always fun talking to the owner and the worker he has very cool shop definitely recommend.

Update: While I still have fond memories of this store as a child, I wont ever be back. Went in today ready to spend some money. Browsed around and chatted with the workers. Super nice attitudes. I found some unpriced rolled up used posters and asked the clerk what the prices were. He told me $5 a poster. I bunched up 10 posters among some other stuff. Another worker asked me if I needed the posters priced and I told him the other clerk said they were $5 each. He came back and said sorry that he actually would need to look them each up on ebay and charge me half price. The bait and switch kind of soured me on the whole experience, so I paid for my other things and abruptly left. The worker made an attempt to apologize, but clearly was not willing to honor the price that was originally quoted and was just trying to justify his pricing strategy.There are multitudes of places to buy cards online and other shops that can be driven to in an hour or less. I was trying to support a local long standing business, but I will never spend another dollar at this establishment.I would not recommend to anyone.This has been my favorite card shop since I was 10 years old. I grew up 2 blocks away and started coming here in 1995. Soooo many great childhood memories. I would spend hours in the shop at a time and Bill, the owner, was never bothered. Ive been several times as an adult and have received the same level of excellent customer service each and every time. Im glad to see the shop is still around. Its the only one left standing from the 90s heyday of sports cars shops. A true part of Salem history.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. I roamed around the office and had all my questions answered while I perused the items for sale. I left there with some gems, was very satisfied with my experience and plan to go back!

No hobby boxes! If you want hobby look somewhere else. Good amount of singles and some retail. Again no hobby at a sports cards shop.

I always enjoy coming into New Hobby. I buy, I sell, it do neither and just chat with the owner. I highly recommend stopping in and seeing what’s available. If you’re selling, please remember that the owner will need to sell what was sold to him, and he needs to make a profit. I may be able to make more money selling on eBay, but this is a hobby for me, and I don’t mind supporting a local shop.

When you go into a sports cards shop its all about the environment and prices that determines if you return. When you go to New Hobby you walk into a friendly environment with market friendly prices. Looking to get an opinion on what you have and receive a fair estimate on what its worth in todays market? Youll be able to get that at New Hobby. Just starting to get back into the hobby of collecting cards again. Going to send off my first set of submissions to PSA soon. Visited the shop and the owner was very helpful. I asked for a specific protective sleeve (Card Saver 1) and he didnt have it on hand. His friend in the shop offered to drive to his house and pick up some extra stock and he had them in the shop in 10 minutes for me! Reasonable pricing. Looks like it’s more catered towards sports, but it looks like they have a small back area that’s in the works for Non sports cards like Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc. I would like to hopefully see that expanded and finished in the future. I will definitely visit this shop first for my future collection needs!

Always a great experience, owner is very knowledgeable in sports cards, magic etc. Has alittle bit of everything for the beginner all the way to the pros. Hobby/retail boxes, single cards and supplies. Salem is lucky to have a sportscard shop as great as this, highly recommend!!

One of my favorite places to stop in at! Friendly family atmosphere for all ages as well as the price range! I take my 2yr old daughter there and she’s totally comfortable looking at her 3/$1 packs of cards and playing with employees. There seems to be something for everybody there and in all sports and even non-sports! Especially since moving next door! Double the space, more than double the inventory! I dare you to go there and NOT become friends with everyone there! It’s impossible! I always suggest to everyone I know or meet to at least stop in and check it out because it’s so hard to find a shop like this.

I won’t even think of going to another shop before going here. I have ask for stuff some like that he didn’t have and a couple days later BAM He has it. Got to love Bill and his classic Hobby shop. Current and classic cards, some autos, collector boxes, sleeves, cases etc. Not new, crowded and not the cheapest but its a great place to visit for sports cards.
