I love the optometrists at this clinic. I’ve been going there for 20 years. The only reason I continue to go there. The whole attempt at optical buying experience is nothing short of aggravating. The difficulty getting an appointment for my disabled father to order his glasses felt unnecessary, but I finally got an appointment to get into the office myself. I proceeded to try in a pair of frames on to see how they looked on my face and when I went to temporarily lower my mask to look in a mirror I was told I could not take my mask all the way down, just past my nose. Like that view of myself in glasses was worth spending close to $600 and not knowing how they would look with no mask. Apparently this office is unaware taking it down past your nose is no different than taking it off completely.... you inhale and exhale through both your mouth and nose. And other than the person that checked me in... it was me and the optician in a room easily 300 sq ft large. I left. Seriously not worth the extra money it costs to purchase through them or the ridiculous way of being treated. I’ll go to Costco instead. I highly recommend the doctors, but definitely not the glasses. Unless it’s an easy order like contacts, I find the optical department lacking in friendliness and practicality of ordering

Staff was very considerate in providing a chair for me to sit in outside while I waited for my daughter to attend her appointment. I was also checked on several times. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Great customer service, just like always. A lens had fallen out of my glasses....my favorites too! They fixed them in just a few minutes and sent me on my way. Now I’m a very happy lady😊

Great for OHP users. OHP covers check up and glasses if needed.I had good experiences with both the staff and doctor. Easy to make an appointment and they called me back when I left a message. As a new patient at the Salem Vision Clinic, I was able to make an appointment within a week or less. Zero wait time when I arrived at the office. Dr. Shannon was effecient and thorough. Great selection and the assistant helped in explaining my benefits to me. I picked out some beautiful frames and am excited about my new pair of glasses.

They are always so friendly. Dr Shannon is always very friendly with my kids. Service is quick and its a great environment.

The doctor and staff were absolutely amazing with my two year old! They made sure she was comfortable and explained everything thoroughly!

I called on a Friday to schedule an appointment. The woman I spoke with said the earliest appointment they had was on Tuesday. I set up the appointment and left work early to make it on time. When I arrived they stated my appointment was scheduled for the following Tuesday. I told them that the woman I spoke with on the phone didnt say it was for the following week. They didnt do anything to rectify the issue, she just said sorry in a insincere one word sentence. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Would definitely never go back to these people. The doc was decent, the staff was not.

My oldest daughter has been a patient there for several years so when my younger daughter needed her eyes checked, I automatically called the clinic. I tried for every school holiday so that she would not miss school...they never had a doctor in the office on those days. Then I just tried to make any appointment today for anything soon... I was left on hold for 10 minutes. When somebody finally answered I explained who I was and if they still accepted my insurance. She responded with yes, but I am here with a patient..you will need to call back for an appointment. I asked if there was anyone else to help me as I was in need and on my lunch break..the reply was no. Not pleased at all. Now I will find a new clinic for both of my girls.

My OD was great. He explained what he was doing and listened.

I have been there one time about 2yrs ago. Great experience with the doctor but the support staff kept trying to up sell the already expensive glasses they had to offer.

The only good thing about this place is the doctors. The support staff is poorly trained which causes an absurd amount of miscommunication. Rather than say Im not sure. Let me look into that, they will try to convince you that you are incorrect. They do so very rudely. They have attempted to overcharge me every time I have been here, and if I hadnt worked as an optician myself I wouldnt have know any differently. While waiting, I have heard them misquote prices to other patients as well, and those patients have blindly accepted the costs. Sadly, we have been left with no choice but to bring our business elsewhere.

My daughter and I have been going to this clinic since 2007, and everyone is awesome.
