Best customer service in the valley. They really work hard to satisfy everyone. Good job guys.
Great place, always have what I need.
Knowledgeable and super friendly people.
I wouldn’t even give them 1 star but that was the lowest I could go. The worst customer service ever, when I walked in the person that seemed to be in charge was sitting at his desk smoking, put his cigarette in the ash tray that was on his desk. Said what brings you in. I was there to drop my Cub Cadet off to get it ready for the Spring and Summer. They supposedly changed the oil, put a new tube in my front tire, sharped my blades and balanced the deck. Well for one the tired are tubeless and was flat when I got there, the blades were not sharp and the deck, well it had a bolt missing on the left side.DON’T GO HERE. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.
Just bought a ZT2 54 inch Cub Cadet yesterday and Scott was very pleasantto work with, and was very polite and helpful with the purchase. They delivered it the next day and that was sweet. Will do business with them again.
I have to say that as a long time customer, my latest interaction with them will be my last. I paid $160 for service on my push mower, with 60% of that cost being the $95 labor charge. That is out of line with what most other shops charge. I was also charged a 4% fee for using my debit card, another reason I won’t return. Most of my disappointment is about how I was treated by the employee that sits by the door. After reading their large “Practice Social Distancing” sign, as he walked to the counter I asked if I should follow? “You have to pay don’t you?” was his reply. Listen man, I don’t need the attitude. He then explained that 4% convenience fee as something all shops do, but I do not believe that to be true. He lamented about how hard it is for a local business to make it, but at these prices I can see why. When I casually mentioned I’d reconsider my future patronage, he said “well that’s your choice.” Yeah buddy, it sure is.I hope your experience is more positive than mine. After purchasing mowers, chain saws, a weed eater and a blower along with mulch and many other things, I’ve decided I’m done. I can find high prices and lackluster service in many places, my opinion is that’s all I found here today.UPDATE: Also when I started to use the mower I noticed the side chute is missing. It was on the mower when I took it in, I called the shop to ask and did not hear back. So now I get to buy a new one. Awesome.
Initially gave this a low rating. Didnt like the tone of possible cost and heard bad things immediately prior to dropping off a chainsaw which had me worried I was gonna have a fast one pulled on me. Low and behold the business held up their end and took care of me. Before i could change the rating, the owner even called me to make sure everything was good in my eyes and I was comfortable with the customer service. Overall very impressed with the treatment from employees as well as the concern from the owner and the care for my equipment. I highly suggest purchasing equipment from here and trusting them with your equipment.
Dont buy here is youre a commerical landscaper. Bought a pro z and cant get service. Had a warranty issue right at the beginning of the season and was told it would be three weeks. He didnt even listen to me, very rude. Theyve lost my business! Another Cub Cadet dealer in town took it in and fixed it that day, even though I didnt buy it from them. Be warned! Specialized told me to fix my own problem with leaking gas tank, which also was a warranty item that someone else fixed. Very sad.
Over Priced and Rude. Went in to get a carb for my Cub. I took a picture in of my engine model number and serial number. Was told 142 for the set, How ever was sort of helpful and suggested Amazon (35 for air filter carb oil filter and spark plug,) since they helped I have a bent blade, thought what the hell give it another shot. I asked Do you have a blade for Cub Cadet LT 1042. His answer was do you have a model number. I said yeah the lt 1042. no sir I need a model number. Isnt that it I said. No its found under the seat. Ok why do they put lt1042 on the side. SIR I DONT WORK FOR CUB CADET, I dont know. Go look under the seat. My response. GO die in a fire you... Well it wasnt Nice. I am just one customer I get it. But I am one that they will never get again. If he would have been patient and just answered it could have been different. Had I been like I am sorry your havening a bad day. It could have been different.
Recently had my 12 year old cub cadet riding mower repaired here. Customer service was good, service repair time was reasonable and price for repair was very reasonable too. They had the parts in stock also. It was well worth the trip from Fincastle. Ill be sure to use Specialized Saw and Mower again.
Great service and knowledgeable Sales and Service departments.I purchased my Generator and Mahindra Tractor there. I was given the time to fully understand my products and to use them safely. Great bunch of guys...Who know their product better than anyone else in the Roanoke and Salem area.
Went in got exactly what i was looking for. Fantastic friendly salesman. In and out in no time. Had my cub cadet mower delivered to my drive way within 2 hours. Thanks again.
I have been a customer of this place for 10 years. It once was a great place to do business. I have left there twice now with less mulch then any place has ever given me. They tell you its 10% off but then charge you $50 per scoop. The most in town by the way. After 10 years of business I have decided I wont be back to give them anymore. Waste of money…
I went to this place after a friend at church recommend me here. Earlier in the day I had been to a place that told me my 7 month old weed trimmer had no compression and couldnt be fixed. They offered to sell me a new trimmer at more than I had paid for the one they said was bad. I told them no.I came to specialized saw and was greeted at the door instantly. Ricky was the person that greeted me, his nametag said he was the General Manager and he asked me how he could help me.I told him what had happened and he asked if I had a few minutes for him to have a mechanic look at my trimmer. After about 15 minutes or so, Ricky came out of another room where I guess the mechanic was working. I was informed that my gas line had came loose from my trimmer and that they had repaired it, and now my trimmer was working fine. I was told that they lubed it up and rewound the string, along with a quick carb adjustment for 41.00. I was elated. 41.00 dollars after another shop told me my trimmer could not be fixed.Best part of this service was that I was then taken into the room where the mechanic was, who explained to me proper starting and maintenance tips at no charge to me.The mechanic was named Preston. I am so excited that I did not have to purchase another trimmer. Its nice to find a shop that is honest and not just after your dollar. I will recommend this shop to all my friends, and I will be back there only for all my future purchases.
We have customers with Specialized for many years and find them curteous and helpful. Have recommended to friends and family and will continue to do so. Vickie is a very friendly and helpful employee.
I spoke to the parts person over the phone yesterday and was reassured that they carried all the parts I needed (Stihl gas cap, 2 spark plugs, air filters and pull start spring). I went to pick up the parts this morning, and found the gas cap was not the correct style. I asked for the right one, which they swapped out for the correct style, although a much smaller size that didnt look right, but he assured me it was correct. I also found out last night I needed new fuel lines, so I asked for those as well. I got home, and the gas cap was too small, of course. So I drove all the way back and got the right one. When I came back home, I went to install the fuel line and it was almost impossible to put on. When I took the spark plugs out of the bag, they were nearly twice the size as the originals and not even the Stihl recommended brand (Bosch). When I called to complain, I was told those are the most popular size spark plugs (why he didnt bother to check is beyond me)...I own several Stihl products and none of them have plugs even close to this size! When I asked about the fuel line being wrong, I was informed that there arent part numbers for that in the computer, so he had no idea what size to give me...TELL THE CUSTOMER YOU DONT KNOW INSTEAD OF ACTING CONFIDENT ABOUT YOUR CHOICE AND MAKING OUT LIKE YOU GOT A PART NUMBER FROM THE COMPUTER!!!!!!!! After I return these spark plugs in the morning, Ill never go back there. If I have to pay double from Northwest Hardware I will, because I know Ill get the right parts the first time.
Completely disappointed on the service side of their business, and I won’t be buying anything from them anytime soon because of that. Bought a new cub XT1 from Home Depot and took it to them for warrantee due to poor running, spitting and sputtering, and they charge me $188 to adjust my valves while the mower was three months old. They didn’t bother telling me that this was something that was covered under warranty through cub cadet.I then had an electrical issue in my start circuit, I took it to them three months after the valve adjustment and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, but threw some parts at it hoping for the best. After my fourth or fifth time to them for the same issue within 18 months, they declined to even work on it telling me it was their prerogative, and that was after I spoke to them that morning and being told a driver was coming to pick it up to make another attempt at repairing it. When I called to see where the driver was, I was then told that they weren’t coming and that it was not their problem anymore. He also told me that I hadn’t been there in 9 or 10 months, when the machine was just there three months ago. During one of the repairs on the start circuit they told me my battery had reversed polarity, apparently magically, so they charged me for a new battery. 20 machine hours later The machine had the same problem again. I am not going back to them for anything anymore.
Excellent for asking questions and getting the right answers. Most likely to have parts in stock.
There awesome and really nice people. They stand behind what they are selling.
Thease guys are the best in the business when it comes to small engines and landscape supply. very few businesses have good customer service anymore but not thease guys, they make sure that a customer is happy with their purchase and they go over and beyond and do everything in their power to make sure that you have the right parts or equipment to get the job done.
Great service! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Good place to get parts. And reasonable too.
Always helpful and always have what I need
Very nice people, who always made sure that we were pleased; our machines were serviced correctly and were given a fair price.
