Great prices on dry goods like peanuts, crackers, breads, and lunchbox snacks. Great prices on fruit and meat, too. Long lines at checkout the only negative. Be sure to bring your own bags and expect to pack your own groceries after checkout. Remember your quarter to release a cart (dont worry you will get it back). If you forget your bags they sell really nice ones for a good price as well as thick plastic reusable ones for a few cents. You wont be able to do all of your shopping here but you will save if you hit Aldi first.

Aldi is a unique store. Like their small footprint which makes it an easy in and out shopping experience. Store is clean and isles are wide. Pricing is good. Some quirks that are not easy to get used to:- Shopping cart rental system. And no hand baskets?- At the checkout if you don not ask for a bag/bags you will not get any.

Great quality products at reasonable prices. Pretty good variety. Super fast billing. Dont miss the Aldi finds section.

This store is a game changer. Discounted groceries and clean market. I go about twice a month and stock up. I drive almost half hour to get to this place. Its that good!

Hit or miss... Lately its a miss. No Black Pepper w/grinder for months... Loss leader items bought in huge volumes by bodega runners to sell at huge markup to EBT bottom feeders...Aldi refuses to impose limits!

I left without purchasing anything because the line was halfway through the store. Happened last time too. Too blind to call for another cashier

Interesting model with a limited but adequate selection of foods. Bring your own bags. Prices are getting erally lower than other supermarkets.Easily visible with free parking. On strip mall just north of Methuen on Route 28.It is it exotic but a useful addition to the areaI went there today just to browse and I picked up about four or five items. The place is much better organized and had much better quality of products. The prices were still low.What angered me is there 5 or 6 people standing with one cashier and no one made any effort to bring anybody else any other 4 to 5 places where you can check out. I thought it was a waste of time to wait for a very long line just to get a few simple things. That really turned me off. I understand that you want to save money by limiting the staff but todays action was unacceptable and showed it disregard for customer service. So I left the items and left the store. I really think you folks should get your act together. If you want to make money have more cashiers.It deserves your attention and browsing. Check it out.

Unusual finds, great prices, European items with no additives (cereals with no artificial colors or flavors!), many gluten free products, seasonal Aldi Finds make nice gifts.Sorry, could not give 5 stars due to rearrangement of the store layout. Didnt flow well and items were not where expected or grouped. Previous layout worked better.

Decent prices on some things each week. Sale items arent always available. That is disappointing. Canned goods, bread, mayo, ground beef, and some seafood are regularly good in price. Other things, not so much. You have to know your prices.

Affordable prices for groceries

They dont carry everything but what they have is very good and cheaper than other grocery stores. I didnt know their brand names and havent tried anything I havent liked. Well, to be honest, I didnt care for their brand ice cream, sorry. Im there once every week or two and they take credit cards now which is great.

Good prices on some things but meat selection not so great veggies sometimes going bad so double check also be prepared to wait in line as usually only one register open.. Finally I have noticed that will raise prices on items that sell.

It was actually really nice! The workers were very kind and helpful. Especially one man in particular. Its pretty busy on Sunday, so Id suggest a week day or week night. Also, if you can remember bring your own shopping bags with you, you bag your own stuff. Otherwise you can buy a bag there.

Good prices great food.

Prices are great. You have to bring or buy bags. Mostly off- brands, but not poor quality. Great for basic shopping, but you cant count on being able to find everything there. With some fruit & veggies, herbs, cheeses, sometimes they have what I need, sometimes not.

I would rate it at 4.5 stars. Its different because the prices are unreal, lot of variety and one finds items that are unavailable anywhere else. Negatives are specially selected items though really good and available for a limited time, are not always available on a year to year basis . Fresh Vegetables are not always available and it really depends on when you shop for availability.

If you know what to expect (how Aldi operates with a do-it-yourself mentality) this Aldis is great. They are well stocked, have a good assortment and some variety of products. I always go with a list and come out with 10 extra things, and still spend less than I would at Market Basket or Stop and Shop (forget Whole Foods, their prices are ludicrous)! Ive done my research and know that what I buy from Aldis isnt junk or bad quality either. They vet all their products and ban anything with certain food dyes and additives from their shelves. The staff is nice, I love the brand, and the store is well maintained. The carts work well, the layout is smart, and they have lots of Aldis Finds at this location as its on the larger side. 5 out of 5 for me.

So this store is relatively new to me. I have found I buy certain things here every week. We have added it to our weekly shopping. Aldis first then Market basket. The fruit prices cant be beat. And they are very fresh. Milk is always cheaper. I am diabetic so their version of splenda is much cheaper like by 2 dollars. So yes I recommend it as part not all of your weekly shopping.

Bought a lot of veggies and fruit, some meat and extra stuff. The good thing was I only spent $70.00. Which would of spent a lot more someplace else.

Great prices, European foods and products, especially my Deutschland favorites. Bring a quarter which will be returned when you leave your cart in the corral, bring your reusable bags or you can buy colorful sturdy ones there.

My SO is from Germany and was excited to know we have Aldi here. She says the Salem store looks better than the one in her village, and I agree that the Salem store is one of the cleanest and well-designed grocery stores in the area! I also love coming here to stock up on a variety of German snacks like Jaffe, Stollen, Apfelschorle and my favorite: Peanut Puffs! Theyre like cheese curls, but peanut flavored! YUM! The staff are also very pleasant. Aldi is a very nice place to shop, with great quality products and prices.

Busy place, but they have a great variety of consumables. And a very clean organized feel, and the prices are AMAZING under $80 and we had a full cart!

Barebones grocery store, but extremely cheap. Who wouldnt want to pay $1.49 for a gallon of milk?Just make sure you bring a quarter to use a carriage, and when you return the carriage to where it belongs you get your quarter back. Also, bring your own reusable bags, and plan on doing your own bagging. These are ways they keep expenses and therefore the cost of foods down.

Some food is cheaper than even market basket, but be careful about what you buy bc other items are pricey. Their mangos particularly are far cheaper than surrounding stores. Im giving the store 3 stars because their stock in sale items is usually low and sells out within a day, but the fault of the store workers but the suppliers/management. The store employees are always helpful and pleasant

They easily smoke other stores on price, and product quality on most items is better than what youd find at other grocers like Market Basket, Hannaford, or Walmart. Yes, I read every label and I find that commonly additives like soy and high fructose corn syrup are more infrequently in Aldis products.
