The woman at the counter was very pleasant and thoroughly explained the details of leaving my lawnmower to be repaired. She advised it could be as long as 8 weeks before they could fix it. Luckily it was my backup mower, so that didnt bother me. Sure enough, almost exactly 8 weeks later I was notified that it was ready to pick up. It seems that the air filter needing replacing and the $74. cost was expensive, but then it had been my choice to let a professional do the work. I would recommend them if you are willing to wait and pay the price.

2 stars or less. Up front service was nice, I was given a wait time of 2-3 weeks. 5 weeks roll by without a call or text saying one way or another. I decided to give them a call and see what was going on, and was told that it was impossible that they would have given me a wait time as the wait time is a month or more. Well regardless of what the wait time may be now, thats not what I was told by their representative at the time of drop off. When I mentioned this I was given an attitude for them not meeting their own dead line that they gave themself. Suffice it to say this will be my last time doing business with them. 2 stars, would NOT recommend. Go to ACE instead.

These guys run a well-oiled shop. I requested a service appointment for my saw, and they sent me a text telling me that theyll contact me when my appointment slot opens. This is great because its faster service than picking a date and having people cancel in front of you and not being able to move up.Dropped the saw off for service ($50 fee charged at time of drop off, contributes to final bill) and, on a whim, picked up a poly-cut head and replacement blades for my FS90R trimmer for only $35! These guys are top of my list in the valley for Stihl repairs and sales.

I bought a chainsaw here a few months ago, they were very helpful finding the right one for me. I went the other day to get an attachment for my weedeater, and they showed me my options and I got blades for it because I was tired of fighting with the strings. Very good service and good equipment.

Bought a backpack blower last june. Carburetor leaks fuel this year. Snooty girl who sold us said backpack blower says we are three weeks out. Call Ace, speak to Bryan. Give me a week he says. Bring it in, he calls the next day. Its fixed. One hour of time. I know it didnt take that long but, friendly man. Quick efficient service, very nice. Bought more equipment from him, due to a sale. Highly recommend Ace on commercial street. I will say I wanted to support the other store. Never again.

This shop has earned my business. Friendly knowledgeable staff with good communication. Very reasonable repair prices, my mower wouldnt start and I had put enough time in it trying to fix it myself that it was time to take it to someone who know what theyre doing. Now the mower runs great and starts on the first pull. They also have a quality selection of equipment if you so happen to be in the market.

Took my Husqvarna chainsaw to this place. I could have saved $5.00 by buying my same exact chainsaw refurbished and it wouldnt have taken 2 months to get. Or I could have spent 20.00 more than they charged me and received a brand new and more powerful Husqvarna chainsaw. A new carburetor that takes 5 minutes(thats how long it takes me) to replace and they charged $120.00 for labor! Carburetor was 35.00 and bill was $155.00. You tell me what you would think! Be smart and go anywhere else! Edit: Dont trust what the owner says in his responses below as being honest because I know different from first hand experience. Theres a good reason for so many one star responses people. And rudeness is common there just like others said.

The female in this shop told me my chains we not able to be sharpened and I needed new ones, one chain is new, took them to another shop, and low and behold they can all be sharpened.Went back and asked to speak with the manager, he of course agreed with his coworker without knowing anything about the chains.Wont be recommending this place at all to anyone!

Today my father in law and I went in to get trimmer line and see if the tech can look at our weed eater. The red haired woman working was helping an older lady very nicely but when me and my father in law walked up for help she was completely disrespectful and to us she felt as if she was racist she had no patience and was putting the little old lady she works with through allot..poor lady shouldnt have to work with that and I shouldnt have to deal with that!

Because we go into the Shaw shop and ask the front lady that is kinda a ***** and she wouldnt look up any of the things we need for our chainsaw and told us to bring it in so they could work on it and make more money. I recommend if its a lady working at the front to turn around and go to one in Dallas because they are a lot easier to work with.

I bought a lot of STIHL power equipment when I bought my acreage a few years ago from a larger outfit closer to Portland. When I had some issues with the equipment I was brushed off. I called State st. and was quite distraught over my previous conversation from the last shop I had talked to.Krista answered the call and gave me a few tips to try. I told her I just wanted my equipment fixed so I could use it. I dropped it off 2 of my chain saws, my string trimmer and Honda Generator off. About a week later all of my equipment was back in my possession. The string trimmer gave me a few issues which turned out to be a fluke. State street took it back and made it right.I will be taking all of my small engine purchases and repairs to state street from now on.Krista and her team are on it and are true professionals in the industry.Thank you

Bad news, couldnt fix my machine, returned to me not working, wanted more money to actually make it work, I paid the added fee and it still would not operate properly, I purchased a carburetor adjustment tool on amazon for $10 now im the expert as my power tool is finally making me $$ again.

I’m pretty disappointed with ssss and will not be back. Person who called me said she couldn’t get the part for my saw (which I get although I’m not sure that’s accurate) and told me they’d recycle it (the saw)for me. Then charged me $40 on top of the $170 already charged to tune and sharpen my other saw (which got a spark plug, air filter and some fancy Stihl gas from what I can tell).I am all about family businesses and know the owners are good people. But I have a family also and a tune up and being told my other saw is junk probably shouldn’t cost $210.

VERY RUDE, Also Im new to chainsaws, about 10 cords cut so far. They dont like answering even the basic chatter questions ( how to clean airfilter air or chemicals ect.. ) ( how do I know when grease isnt being delivered properly ). She said I should come get it diagnoses. Literally trying to charge me for information 99.99% of saw shops in the world would give you for free. You guys just lost my business for life because of last weeks encounter. I hate to blame it on a women but maybe hire someone with more knowledge and kindness, like a man.

Verry rude people, i went there about 6 years ago and i ask if they could sell me a special screw driver that adjust the carburator for my weed trimmer and right away the older man at the front desk said who was i to buy that tool and if i knew the epa rules and if i had certification and if he were to sell to me he wanted 3,000 dollars for a tool that is not worth more than ten bucks. At that point i felt descriminated because i notice he was more nicer to other people but since i ambrown he felt he had the right to be rude.

They are always trying to up sale you on things you dont want. They just keep pushing you even after you tell them you dont need it or want. Then call you an ass hole when you leve. Because you wont buy it. I have been doing this kind of work for over 45 years and I know what I need and want. One thing for shore I DONT need to be called an ass hole!!Besides they are 10 cents a dozen and everyone has one lol

Not good, bought a new chain for an older saw and the owner sized it off the factory specs rather than measure the bar, simple mistake, but the next day when I took it back to get a couple of links knocked out so it would fit my bar the chick behind the counter just wanted to question and argue with me about fixing it even though I had my receipt in hand. needless to say I will never go back.

06/28/2012See aboveDescription of work:They worked on a trimmer that wouldnt start. The tech called and said it was ready, and I asked him if it was bad gas or what, telling him that I had added new pre-mix gas (purchased from them last winter) before trying to start it, as the tank was nearly empty. He said no, the gas that was in it seemed OK & he had just made some minor carb adjustments after he finally got it started. When I picked it up, the counter guy included a small can of pre-mix gas in the invoice at $8.00 and said it went with me. I told him what the tech had told me on the phone about the condition of the gas, and asked to talk to tech that had called me. While waiting for the tech (it only took about 15 seconds), the guy suddenly just grabbed the invoice, said they would remove the charge, and scratched it off the invoice. At that point the tech arrived (nice guy), confirmed the gas had seemed OK and was explaining when the first guy just cut him off, saying that they would just take the gas charge off because hes whining about it. He kept grumbling some things to the others at the counter as he was putting the invoice in the register and, as I was leaving with the trimmer, actually called me a j . I told him I would spread the word, and left. When he had started this tantrum, my conversation with his tech was still in the question stage about what seemed at the time to be a contradictory charge, and what had really been the problem with the trimmer, based on what the tech had told me on the phone - I wasnt even yet demanding the charge be removed until I heard from the tech. While I appreciate them taking charges off, the $8.00 is nothing compared to this guys attitude - he even cut his own tech off! No customer deserves to be treated like this over a legitimate question about seemingly contradictory charges - there are just too many good small engine repair places out there, with stable people to deal with.
