My daughter has been going for voice lessons for about a month and a half now and has shown very big improvement and loves the teacher she works with at NW School of Music. Over all a great place to learn and grow in music of many kinds not just voice. Check it out if you are at all interested in private lessons.BTW parents are welcome to be in the lesson with their child or there is a nice waiting area as well.

My 10 year old son has been very interested in getting guitar lessons for about a year now, so I finally decided to do some research to find the best music school in the area.I asked some of his classmates for recommendations, and a few mentioned taking their children for lessons a Northwest School of Music, an that they really liked the instructors there. I read some reviews and went to visit one afternoon before my son got out of school. I spoke with Manny Martinez, the instructor who does the guitar lessons, and I could tell that he loves what he does. He has lots of experience and fantastic credentials and just seemed like a great teacher to learn from.My son has been going to him since January now. My son has been having a great time and has a real enthusiasm for it. Manny has done a great job in helping him to advance and develop his skills, and my son has been keeping up his end of the bargain (practice!) due in part to his instructors focus on making it really enjoyable. Its great to see my son devoting time to practicing because he loves impressing his instructor with his progress.Overall, Im very happy I chose to sign my son up for lessons at the Northwest School of Music. The staff are fantastic, and they really motivate and encourage students. My daughter is interested in learning guitar as well now that her brother is having so much fun with it, and Ill be signing her up in the fall. The lessons are priced well, and the quality of instruction my child receives is worth every penny.

My oldest son has been taking in home piano lessons now for five years and my youngest for two. They love their teacher and have learned an amazing amount about music. My oldest son and I are now also taking a joint guitar lesson and this experience has been fantastic. I would highly recommend the Northwest School of Music to anyone looking for piano or guitar lessons. Great for both kids and adults.

From learning notes to play songs within ten months, very proud of my daughter and very thankful for all the teachers here teaching my daughter. Also, the school is very nice, I never pay for the piano books my daughter used, and they reward every kids if they practice at home. This is the best music school in salem!
