Crank is one of those shops where you walk in the front door and immediately relax. You get the sense that youre not going to get pressured into buying anything. There is super chill music going, lots of pretty bikes and no one is angry at you for not riding a specialized...They stock bits and pieces for your bike that nobody else carries which I love because I like to touch parts before I buy them and I want my whip to be unique. Go dig the spot for yourself. Its refreshing.

I just moved up to SLC a while back and I wanted to get my retro road bike fixed up. I heard about them from a friend so I took my bike to the shop. I dont know a lot about bikes. They didnt make me feel stupid. They were really cool about walking me through what they were going to do to get my bike running smooth and looking fly. For a lot less than what I thought it was going to be my bike is looking and running good. They also have lots of really cool gear. Id definitely recommend them.

Quick, friendly and reasonably priced services. The turn around on a Saturday afternoon was amazing. Dropped my bike off at 2pm for a tune up and some replacement parts, still it got back the same day.

This bike shop is amazing! The owners are awesome and helped me find the bike that i wanted. They have a great selection of parts and clothing for my bike. The overall feel of the shop is friendly and they participate in the community, which is amazing. 5 stars!!!

I had neglected maintenance on my commuter bike for far too long. When I started to look around SLC for a shop, Crank SLC seemed to be the obvious choice. 1.) Their shop prices were the lowest I found in the downtown area. 2.) Im very particular as to what sort of bike shop I will readily spend my money in. Bike shops, for whatever reason, too often come with a nose-in-the-air elitist attitude that always makes me loose immediate trust in the service I might potentially receive from them. When I walk into a shop and, because my bike inst work $6,000, feel like they arent going to take time and care with it I obviously have my reservations. Since having my first couple experiences, Crank SLC is the first in a long time that I dont have any reservations about. The owners are very friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and genuine, and the space is very cool. They are a bit of a niche shop. I dont know that they are the shop that I will have overhaul my downhill bike (although, Im sure they could), or the shop that you will have build you a custom spec road racer. I am sure, though, that those of us who rely on bicycles in our everyday life, whether you are a commuter, messenger, or enthusiast; this is where we should all be spending our money. This place has the best selection of single speed bikes in Utah. Bikes and parts are priced reasonably.Most importantly the staff here and knowledgable and professional as well as experienced as they all ride bikes as a way of life.A must visit for any hardcore bicycle enthusiast.

I have never had trouble with this shop. The staff is friendly and helpful, I am glad that I finally found a shop I can trust were I dont feel that I am being looked down on for not knowing all things there are to know bike. I have no problem spending my money here.

I went into Crank SLC to pick up a new pair of pedals and straps for my fixed gear bike. The staff is super friendly and helped me pick out the perfect set up to go with my new bike. They even let me hang out while they installed my new pedals for free, if your looking for a new bike or some new bike accessories stop by on State Street and get set up!

Bought a new complete Aventon Mataro and I am very pleased with the price and service. I am new to fixed gear bikes and they were very helpful answering any questions I had. I will definitely be going back and will also be giving my friends recommendations here .

Crank SLC had everything I needed to fix the beater single speed track bike I use to commute around the city. If you ride a single speed, track bike or frankensteined af fixie, Crank has the knowledge and parts that the three other local shops I visited didnt. Also, friendly and relaxed service/atmosphere.

Was actually sent here today by another bike shop worker who didnt want me to buy a wheelset from THEIR store because he said for 10$ more from this store I could get an unrivaled wheelset with superior sealed bearings ect.. so i made the 7 minute trip and was VERY pleased with the service. They were willing to teach me things about my bike and gave me honest recommendations, and only when asked. No over the shoulder sales men. They also caught a chain problem that a previous store 2 weeks ago missed during a tune up. Extremely knowledgeable staff.
