This is one of the best shops for cyclists in Salt Lake! They have a huge selection of bikes to buy or rent. The owners are experts in e-bike maintenance and know how to fix all sorts of issues. If you have a question or an issue, chances are they can answer it. Theyre also super friendly, helpful, and energetic. Renting an e-bike is a great way to experience the city. If youre like me and looking for a good way to commute, they hooked me up with a Pathfinder which is an ideal way to get to work.Ill be returning here often, I could not recommend highly enough!

Such a fun experience!! Matt was so friendly and nice and he was excited for us to have this experience. He told us about the good trails to go on, but we ended up just riding through the city, which was nice as well! The bikes are great and easy to use. When COVID first hit my father and I were very bored. My father bought his bike from Specialized that was very overpriced. When we came here Matt was very helpful, giving us a great deal. If you are looking for an Ebike you should come here.

Matt sold my wife and I two Magnum Rangers. For an extra charge, he then installed monkey bars on my Ranger. Cable routing and wiring was very professional. Matt even threw in some extras. These rides are awesome! We added kid seats for my 3 year old and 18 month old. These e-bikes are super safe handling with 4 inch wide tires and heavy duty mounting points; they are like motor homes of cycling!!

Absolutely loved our experience! They provided us a great map, route and ebikes. I had knee surgery 2 weeks ago and was worried about the ability to enjoy myself for a long period of time. The electric bike was so unbelievably helpful and provided me the ability to still enjoy the activity with my family. If you are not sure if you can do this as long as you can balance on a bike all ages could enjoy this!

I love this shop so much! I ride a Lectric XP and most shops around me wont even give me the time of day. Salt Lake Ebikes gives me that time of day that the others wont. They are really reasonably priced for their work. I feel appreciated and love chatting with the staff! This is the only Ebike shop I will go to.

Matt is very enthusiastic about bikes but he left me frequently to help other customers since hes often the only person there. Ive visited the shop three times and cant keep his attention.He refused to tell me how much bikes were priced and he kept trying to get me to ride bikes outside of my budget. He would not listen to my requirements and just kept suggesting his favorite bikes.

Its hard to describe exactly how over the top helpful the staff at this store is. You can test drive an ebike by driving it around the block, and although I didnt try it, I have no doubt that the staff would be happy to let you try one ebike after another after another until you found one you liked. In fact, happy is exactly the word to describe the store. Theyre happy to answer questions, no matter how detailed or hypothetical, and theyll keep answering questions for as long as you like. If you rent an ebike, theyll include a helmet, and any time during the rental you can go back to the store and swap the ebike for another. This might be the most helpful store Ive ever been in, with the happiest staff.

Arrived at the location at opening time fully intending on buying two ebikes. The lady and man seemed distracted and frankly disinterested in assisting us with our questions regarding several brands and styles of their bikes. They had us fill out waivers which we did in mere minutes. The lady kept answering the phone as we attempted to ask her questions, the man kept walking away and saying uhhhh a lot when questioned about various bikes they have. Awkward moments of silence as we stood there waiting to be waited on. I finally said we would like some service, we want to purchase two bikes today and expect a little service. He made a face and looked at the lady. We told them we will go to their competitors and walked out, no attempt to stop us or apologize.I rarely post a review, but this place blew us away. Decided to sit in front of the store for about 5 minutes in full view of the front counter and relay our experience to you all. And no, they did not come out to try to regain our business.Hope they were just having a bad day..... Lost two sales and a reference....

I bought a eTrike elsewhere but it needed a tune up and accessories (second battery, etc) after a while that I wasnt able to figure out with the original seller. Matt was AWESOME and so helpful. He even got to asking me some really respectful and friendly questions about my experiences riding and what features I especially use, given that I am pretty clearly open about my disability and he was hoping to learn more to help his future customers figure out what worked best (hot tip: my favorite feature is having the throttle that works independently, which makes things like crossing streets SO much safer, since I cant always get momentum up fast enough starting from scratch with a literal and figurative lame leg - so the throttle gets me safely across at a reasonable speed before I would be able to get up to a reasonable speed on my own).He was able to order parts he didnt carry, and I plan to ask him to do just that in the future as I phase into a more advanced trike so I can keep having someone local supporting my bike and keeping it (and me) safe, and as I figure out exactly what I need with more riding (tip two: Im figuring out that better shocks will be less painful... wondering about a mountain eTrike even just for bumpy streets? Though Id share in case my fails forward were helpful for those of us with disabilities or pain!) Whether you need an ebike /etrike for similar reasons or not, Matt and the woman who work there are AMAZING and helpful. It can get busy in there and you may need to wait, but definitely worth the wait.

My RadRover had a battery issue, it seemed totally dead. Brought it in. The guy there fiddled with it for 10m and completely brought it back to life. Then they sent me on my way without asking for any kind of payment. Awesome service!

My wife and I have our own non e bikes. Now, as seniors, we needed and wanted to keep up with our children and grandchildren. We rented electric bikes. First time on electrics. This was the perfect solution. The people at Salt Lake Ebikes couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. We plan to do this regularly.

My first time ever doing a Self guided bike tour in an unfamiliar place. I am happy to say that this was the best way to get around Salt Lake City. Matt the owner of the shop is a delightful, kind, and generous person. He will give a map, draw it out for you, and say, GO have fun and enjoy yourself! That is exactly what my friend and I did. We drove our ebikes to ensign park and to the state capitol. I am an experienced mountain bike rider, but my friend is not. However, the ebikes made the trip fun for both of us. Salt Lake Ebikes is an exciting way to see Salt Lake City!

So much fun! The prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. We took a warm up lap around Liberty Park then went up to Parley’s Trail. I could have biked all day. We only rented for an hour but next time I’ll definitely be doing more.

Its been years since I had ridden a bike, but it was like-well, riding a bike-to get back on one this weekend. My wife and I wanted to browse the downtown neighborhoods on bikes and found that this shop was the perfect answer for us.We made a reservation ahead, although it doesnt seem to be necessary. The guy who runs the shop (I missed his name) showed us several bikes and explained their functions and ultimately recommended bikes for each of us. We went with the traditional cruiser for our neighborhood meandering.After some quick orientations and helmet fittings, we were off. Riding the bike was very similar to a traditional bicycle, with the exception of the power that kicks in and helps you gain speed. Thats fun. And very helpful when youre fighting to get uphill. The bike will jump in and assist you like a champ.There is onsite parking and its easily accessed right off 700 East. Give it a go!

He asked if we could leave it there for an hour or so and he would have it fixed. I couldnt believe he offered to fix it right there and then. His response, well you said this is a mobility device. I went to SLC E bikes without any background or knowledge of e bikes but wanting to get a commuter bike that I could take to work and that my wife could use when we bike together as a family. Alya and Matt spent a significant amount of time introducing us to the features to look for in an ebike, they let us test out several bikes and then when we had decided what we wanted, they gave us a great deal on a bike. Its been a great bike and their service has been phenomenal. I will recommend their store to any friends or family looking to get an e bike.

Today was my first experience on an ebike and with this shop. I know it won’t be my last. We had a phenomenal experience. We got there a little early and there was already a line but the staff handled the rush with ease and stayed friendly and positive. I wish I would have gotten the name of the gentleman who help us but he had us on our way in just a couple of minutes. I wasn’t sure if they did repairs, and I don’t know much about bikes other than I love to ride them! My bike had a few screws loose and adjustments needed to be made but I wasn’t sure of the cost. I assumed Ebikes only sold new bikes and wouldn’t be able to help. I went in to the shop and asked anyways. The guy (I think his name was Matt) was SUPER nice and welcoming, took my bike like it was his own. He didn’t try and tell me there was a bunch of things I needed to fix on my bike, he just took it in and polished it up as well as made some minor adjustments. Free of charge! I was so blown away with the service. This place is amazing!

I took my Luna Stealth ebike here to get assembled. I was expecting the typical couple hour wait and coming back later. But Matt is terrific. He put it together with me on the spot. I learned a bunch. Hes been great since then too. Also, a really good assembly price. Like, so good I offered him more but he said no.This happened in the off season so he had plenty of time to help me. Hes likely busier in the summer but Id still go back in a heartbeat.

Don’t rent a ebike here, it’s a scam. Matt said the renter before us caused the motor to rattle but it would be fine for us to take. The motor broke within an hour of the trip and I had to push a very heavy ebike without a motor through the mountain. Matt said the break is my fault because I wasn’t supposed to go up hills with it. He didn’t say that before our trip. It was a mountain bike, going up and down hills is the point. Why would I think anything different? I’ve rented ebikes before and never had a bad experience like this. Now I’m fighting an additional $750 charge for the repair. Again, this was a giant rip-off. Don’t come here.

We had such a great experience shopping for E bikes. Salt Lake E Bikes was the first and only store we visited. Matt was super helpful educating us on the pros and cons of helping us understand our options. Love his abundance mentality, fun-loving, and chilled personality. Super fun! I wanted to try my commute to the U with an electric bike: Im 100% convinced and will likely buy my own in the next few weeks. We booked online 2 bikes with my husband for one hour, and when we arrived to the shop to pick them up, we felt really welcomed: they offered us to ride a premium version of their electric bike, lent us gloves, helmet, lock, safety vest and side bags, and even offered us to extend our rent for a second hour for free! Needless to say that we will go back there when we will decide to purchase a bike!

Our first bike was actually a slightly used one and when we took it home, the brakes werent working properly. I managed to make a few adjustments myself, but still couldnt get the rear one to work. We decided to take it back for repairs and were willing to wait, but Matt just swapped our bike out for a new one! This place and its owner are the no-nonsense, down-to-earth type so if youre searching for a good place to buy e-bikes and more, look no further.

Rented bikes with a friend from Salt Lake Ebikes on June 25th and 26th and had a blast exploring the city. The owner Matt is very friendly and easy to work with. The e-bikes are the best way to get around the city and the parks and are so much fun to ride. Had so much fun we went back for a second time. If you have never ridden an e-bike it just takes a few minutes to get acquainted with it. So much more fun than a traditional bike that I probably will buy one. We bought one and will probably get another, but had rental only in our plan. Owners are so flexible, fun and great people.

Today was my second time renting from SLC ebikes. I haven’t been able to spend as much time training on my road bike as I’dve liked this year, but still wanted to go on a long ride with friends. The ebike is the perfect solution! I could still enjoy the beautiful mountains and keep up no problem. The staff at the store has been amazing to work with—very accommodating with my schedule and needs. The bikes there are AMAZING! I love each and every one of them. They let you try them out first. I’m gonna get a mountain bike next time. And they have good deals if you want to buy one. Saving my pennies! This place would be perfect for a date or group activity—you could ride around in the park across the street and do all the things. So so fun!!!

Fantastic experience! There was a ton of e-bikes you could select for your size at reasonable price. My girlfriend was not confident with a standard size bike and the owener, Matt, immediately found the best size for her. We had a lot of fun, but best of all was communication with Matt and staff. Super easy to ride and super fun to use!

Today was a perfect day to try ebikes and roam around the city. We were thinking about buying ebikes, so we thought we should try first and see how it goes on SLC hills. We rented the base model and its really fun and efficient. We went up to the U on E 100 S without a sweat. We will very likely buy one in the next months.And the manager even offered us a second hour of rent for free!!!
