Wait time is decent with a scheduled appointment. The guy that helped me could’ve had a more helpful attitude. Seemed like I was bothering him so I gave him the simple explanation of why i brought my laptop in.Place is clean. Seems like they have all their products on display and nothing to sell. LolI would rather waste my time calling into apple then time and gas coming into this place.
Apple City Creek Center is explicitly BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. That said, if they aren’t busy, they’ll fudge the appointment by 5 minutes for you, they have great customer service. In particular, their Genius Tech Mikey did a great job cleaning my iPhone 11 buttons and left me with a little putty to clean out my speakers.Apple did a great job here!
So last night I called apple technical support and I got help but couldnt figure out the issue with my MacBook pro. The store at city creek and the employee Jacob the technician were very knowledgeable on how to fix my issue and had me in and out with in 1.5 hours. It was a amazing experience thank you Jacob and city creek apple store for getting me in before my appointment at 4 it was much appreciated 😀
Really bad experience!!!! I visited the store and said just wanna take a look at new products, demo only!! I visited there at 11:00am, and one guy helped me reserved an appointment at 11:45am. We took around and came back! There has a lot of people just walked in the store. I asked two different guys, I said I only wanna see the new product, and I am not decide to buy it!! They ignored my requests. At 12:10pm, I entered the store, and the specialist told me that if I only wanna take a look at demos, I don’t need to wait! Totally waste my time for 1 hour, so bad experience I never had before!
I’ve purchased AirPods and an iPhone from here. Both times the staff was courteous, prompt and I was in and out the door pretty quickly. Both times the place was busy and I wanted to be in and out so that was nice.
13 is trash, Ive only used 13 for 24 hours, the screen are already scratched/ chipped. I keep the phone separate from my key, never dropped it. Trying to do an exchange, they wont let me pick up my phone because my name is not listed as an T-mobile authorized user in their system, in fact, T-mobile told me I am. Ive been using iPhone since iPhone 4. But today I am soooooo disappointed with the quality of the product and customer service especially the store manager of the city creek center. She is not qualified for this job
Right across street from the Temple, City Creek Center is a beautiful place, especially at night. And a very comfortable place in the winter: It is the kind of garden-like open mall, but everything is under a dome. We visited the center on New Years Eve. All the decorations makes the place even more magical. It is also quite convenient with ample underground parking. (You need to take a ticket to enter, but it offers two-hour free parking.)I cannot comment on shopping or the shops because I didnt go there for shopping. I just wanted to take advantage of Apples reduced battery replacement before it expired on New Years Day. I guess that is why they named this place Apple City Creek Center? (Pro tip: Do not wait till the last hour before a deal expires. After a little negotiation, I was eventually able to receive the deal, though.)
The store is your typical Apple store. Clean. We’ll organized. This review is specifically about their appointments for service. My appointment was for 5:20… my APPOINTMENT. Not my check in time. It’s now been 25 minutes later and nobody has talked with me after checking in. Crazy!
I was simply trying to call the local store to see if I could recycle an old iMac. I didnt want to haul it to the local storejust to have them tell me they cant recycle it. Instead I just got routed through their ridiculous automated system, never got to talk to someone at the local store at all. So now I just have to haul it there and see. Some recommendation for apple.1. Have an option to be connected to a local store when you call a local number.2. Have an option to talk to a real person and not an outdated automated system with 2-3 prescribed options. What category does recycle a computer land under? Is it genius bar appointments? Tech support for my apple product?Hmm seems like there is no answer in those already determined categories.I honestly was about to just throw this thing in the garbage. How can they say they care about the environment when it seems like they actually make it hard to do the right thing? Its almost as if they are trying to put road blocks in your way to recycle a computer. Thats how impossible their support was, their customer service people sat on the phone with me for 20 minutes asking manager after manager about it and then said, no one can find the answer.
Apple phones are suppose to be so easy to go find if stolen, no one would help me find my stolen phone . They didnt even try
Matthew helped me fix my iPhone charging port. I was worried it was broken and would need to buy a new one, but there was just lint stuck in the port. Great customer service!!
Dominic was super helpful and honest with me about my computer, didnt try to get me to purchase anything unnecessary and provided options to save a little money too. Bit of a wait for my appointment but it just generally seems busy, nobodys fault.
Horrible. Want to hold like $600 for them to ship me a new phone that was defected from day 1. And Im also supposed to pay $30 for shipping. This is your fault that the iphone I have has been defaulted since day 1. Not mine. I dont need to cover any costs. Ridiculous.
$3000 for a computer, $1000 for a phone and the list goes on. But when my device was having issues and I came in for an appointment I was left waiting for almost 15 minutes. Despite Apple Care they want to charge you for every little thing they provide. The employee who “helped” me didn’t believe my problems because he couldn’t reproduce them in-store. Well, some problems appear intermittently... They never make exceptions from their arbitrary set of rules. Not very American customer service.
STELLAR service!!!!! Easy same day appointment, quick, and simple process to trade in an old Macbook for a Mini Mac. Reasonable prices. Extremely understanding and patient with me. I ABSOLUTELY recommend this store.
Appreciated being able to make a same day appointment and to be helped by John. We had a lot of questions about the MacBook Air and Apple Watch and appreciated his patience as we are not the most technically minded. Thank you again for the time and attention to our queries. We will be back when ready to purchase.
This Apple store is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY still as of the date of this review, and my advice is don’t bother until it’s not! When I was there it was far less than half capacity for Covid and I wanted to show my friend a new iPhone mini that he might be getting soon. One of the “geniuses”said that he had a spot open in about 45 minutes, if I wanted to come back, or line up. I told him, thank you no, you lost a sale. So, please make an appointment even though you don’t really need one, the store has barely any people in it, but maybe that lack of people has gotten the geniuses to go a little soft!?
I was helped by an employee at this location who was just great. He (Jacob) was really professional, helpful, and chill. The only reason I’m not giving this location more stars is because the management’s last priority is the customer and in the world of retail that’s unacceptable.Context: last year I lost an AirPod, through Apple’s customer service I ordered a replacement that was the wrong one (I had a gen 2, they sent me a gen 1), after trying to reach out to customer service again I was basically left in the dark not hearing back from them and thought “oh well.”It didn’t occur to me till recently that the stores now aren’t just online order pickups because of the pandemic and that I could potentially resolve this at a store. I came into the store explaining my situation, and after Jacob spoke with his management they basically left me with the options of either buy new AirPods or buy another replacement AirPod, and that it was my fault for waiting too long to come into an apple store… How is it my fault that I never got the right part in the first place, that reaching out after getting the wrong part didn’t resolve anything, and this was during a global pandemic so it’s not like I could’ve gone to any store at the time???? Shame on me for thinking I was getting screwed, didn’t know I could’ve done something about it, only to end up getting told tough luck because I waited too long(?).I don’t write reviews often if at all; but the fact that something mild, that could have been resolved so simply was not resolved, and realizing how careless the management was by telling me through an employee that they wouldn’t even try to help me was more than disappointing. I like apple products so I’ll be a returning customer, but not to this location. You’ll probably have better luck or more help with problems by going to any other location except this one. Excellent staff, minus the managers.
Do not waste your time attempting to shop in store. They are still requiring appointments, even if you have paid online and are doing a pick up. They followed CDC guidelines up until now and clearly know more than the top scientist and doctors in the world. Requiring masks for vaccinated folks is deplorable. Funny how ID is required yet 2/3s of my face is covered! And the rude security officer needs a new job. She’s a dud.
A fun, eccentric place to visit with family and friends. Too pricey for my budget to frequently shop there.
Had a horrible experience here. Staff was not knowledgeable or helpful for my situation. I walked in with my kids to surprise them with IPads. First the door person basically was telling me that it was going to be an hour wait. We walked in and tried to seek some assistance. After about 15 minutes I ended up going back to the door person and just explained, look I don’t need any questions answered or information. I just want to buy two iPads. I was directed to the pickup table. I explained again I just want to purchase two iPads no questions. They brought the iPads out I proceeded to buy them. I had some money on account in the Apple store that I wanted to use. No one was able to figure out how to apply this credit. We asked for help, the person who was asking us radio’d for help. During which we the Apple employee and I ended up accidentally adding more money to the Apple store credit. She repeatedly told us we should be able to use the credit in store. After 30-45 minutes of standing around no one came to help. Now with double the money on the unusable credit I was pretty annoyed. We ended up leaving with no iPads. My wife called Apple support on our way out and they told us they that the Apple store credit was only to be used online. In store employees had no knowledge of this.
Maddie at this store is amazing, although I had a poor experience with AT&T that led to an extremely long appointment, she was extremely accommodating and helpful. She stuck by me the whole day to get my issue sorted out. Thank you!!!
Clean and beautiful! A great open air mall with a ton of great stores and the restrooms are fantastic.
Great place indoor and outdoor get a lil of both very relaxing love it
Both the manager Dan and his technician Ron did a marvelous job replacing and restoring my sons smashed I Phone, even though my son couldnt recall his correct login information. Amazing work guys!
Terrible experience. Woman at the door ignored me, never took her eyes off her pad. I was early so I looked around a bit when I got back to her, still never looking up. “Did you need something?” Told her who I had an appt with. Still not looking up, “He’s over there.” Vague gesture. There were a lot of queues so I picked the one she might have gestured at. Turned out to be the wrong queue. “Oh, you’re in the wrong place. He’s over there.” Another vague gesture and I was immediately dismissed. As I wandered looking for where I was supposed to be I was approached, finally. “Can I help you? Oh, you’re in the wrong place. You need to be over there.” Vague gesture. I wish I had asked to speak to management but I could feel I was too annoyed. I will never return to this store.
Amazing service, the staff was amazing, I was able to walk in and purchase some Airtags and other stuff, will definitely be back!
Have been here a few times and have ALWAYS had an exceptional experience. If you don’t have an appointment you can do a walk in. Some days are busier than others especially on weekends. If you show up 15 to 20 minutes earlier there is someone outside that will start checking people in. When he saw me carrying my 27” imac he said “that looks heavy let me take it in for you and than i can check you in.”All the staff is well educated, Quick and thorough. If you have kids they have a cozy entertainment space for them as well. If your in the market for a new iphone I recommend getting it here they will take great care of you tell him Kalani sent you!
Difficult pick up process even when all instructions carefully followed. Disregard for customer time.
I took a person that needed help with her i-phone. I dont use apple products so I also took my husband to help. I was so impressed with the kindness of Jenna. She was so kind, extremely patient and helped in every way she could to solve the problem and went way beyond great customer service. I was extremely impressed with her professionalism while willing to help a person in need. Thank you Jenna for the kindness. professionalism and patience!
Our food took forever and we didnt get silverware nor napkins and we didnt get any refills
Super nice staff who took their time to make sure I had everything for my order.
Security was STRAIGHT UP EYEING ME I THINK HE WANTED TO CATCH THESE HANDS
It was good to be there. But was pretty busy.
A beautiful, friendly atmosphere to do business at in a beautiful shopping mall.
Not very organized... rather than honoring express pickup appointments, they just have everyone stand in line and wait. Took about an hour to pick up my laptop, which seemed excessive given that there were only four other people there when I arrived. Don’t expect this to be a quick visit.
Amazing experience with the service team every single time, without fail. Taylor, specifically, is super helpful, knowledgeable and amazing at communicating in laymen’s terms what the issue is, what they will be doing and what expectations should be.I’ve yet to have an issue with the waiting game some others have mentioned. Every time I come in, I leave my name, they text me when ready, I show up, they sit me and then they get to me as soon as possible, never been an issue and never been exuberant.I’ve found my interactions with everyone here pleasant and every employee seems more than happy to do whatever they can to help out and make your experience positive.
It was so fun and cool
This apple store closed a few minutes before 8pm. The 3 guard workers let us in after we pointed out that it wasnt 8 yet. I wish they would help customers when open.
This store is just full of rude idiots and unhelpful managers. Had to go to another store for the same thing and they were able to resolve the issue. Please avoid this store for anything other than buying an apple product.
I love the service here over the past few years but, I wish they would open the store back up for sales and service.
Very good person to be honest 😊😊😊
Not respectful of those that have gone through a transition and unfortunately still have their dead name displayed on their state ID. When it comes to online order pick-ups.
The walnut fudge is great! Hoping to some apples next time - it smells great in there and there is a nice selection.
The slash pad was a huge hit with my grandson
Absolutely horrible customer experience. No support in purchase and then when picking up my purchase absolutely no help to the point I left the store so frustrated and had to send my husband back to get the item and he had bare minimum service as well. Will not visit this Apple store again in the future.
The parking garage was so nicely lit and warm. Which is awesome, especially since it was so cold outside.
Beautiful place, nice stores. Anchor stores are smaller versions. Especially Nordstrom. Its the smallest that I have ever seen
Nothing interesting here, everything overpriced. There are better computers that you can actually play games on them... something that apple fanboys do not understand. There are other phones that actually take decent pictures, anyway if you want to waste your money on garbage, be my guest.
I prefer this location over fashion place. Seems more organized.
Thank you T for your TERRIFIC customer service. I went to the Apple Store expecting a 90 minute wait time due. You handled my issue in less than 30 minutes. You are so kind and efficient. You made my day. Thank you!
Ron was my Genis guy. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He did not tell me what I wanted to here but took care of the situation regardless.
Went here with my mother today for an appointment at the Genius Bar. The service was great especially from our representative Douglas. He took his time to make sure that everything from my mothers previous phone was transferred correctly to her new phone and answered any questions she had. It was very refreshing to actually have someone take their time instead of being rushed out the door.
Shout out to Genius Bar Michael and repair staff, thank you for assisting my iPhone and being patient and profession!
They tell me its a 45 minute wait to see a technician to help me with a faulty apple product. After 30 minutes I return and I am told oh we meant an 1 hour and 45 minutes. Meanwhile they have lots of employees standing around, you think Apple would be smart enough to have more employees cross trained so they could be useful, and improve the customer experience...
I set up an appointment to get my 2011 MacBook Pro updated to the highest firmware Apple would support and I had 2 people help me. Leo and Connor, Leo was the first person I talked to at the Genius Bar he was very knowledgeable and got my Mac updating right away, even though I was having issues prior to going in. Connor checked up on me and helped answer any additional questions I had. They were both very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend going there for any Apple support and will definitely continue purchasing Apple products because of the experience I had with them.
Great place to eat, shop and especially take a walk and window shop!
Being dealing with them for Enterprise and Business needs for years. Great business teams, as well as store associates.
I set up an appointment at the Genius Bar to get my iPhone 7 looked at because it wouldnt connect to cellular data, and the employee who helped me was wonderful! He was quick but not rude, answered my questions, and I was able to borrow a loaner phone from the store while mine was sent out to get fixed because the City Creek store didnt have the right equipment. Took about a week for the phone to get fixed which is what they estimated it would take, and returning the loaner phone and getting mine back was easy and painless.
Had a nice experience here shopping around for a new phone and AirPods. Although it was busy during the holiday season, they gave me some good individual attention and answered all of my questions. One of the “genius” people even complimented my boots, so I guess they do hire geniuses to work there. Everything seemed to be running smoothly even with the large crowds
The mask police were out of control in this location will never return
Meh
Poggers
I had a really good experience at this apple store, the people that helped me answered all my questions that needed answering. Can’t say enough good things about this location and the people.
My husbands home quick working so we drove 4 hours to the store because it is the closest apple store to where we live and they wouldn’t help or even talk to my husband because he didn’t make an appointment. When we went online to make an appointment they didn’t have any available for over a week. We tried to explain our situation and that we couldn’t stay for a week but they had no interest
Trash service. For those not in the know you need an appointment before you show up to fix a faulty product. Cheers.
Fun indoor outdoor mall with chain store anchors
Worst service!Went to make a purchase and after waiting 2+ hours was told I couldn’t!Followed all of their process’. Checked in, got on their list, received the text, was available after the ‘waiting time’, but still no one helped me. I approached one of their employees and was told they had my reservation, but not in the time slot (apparently there’s two places). They said to wait 5 min, it was another half hour before I could get anyone’s attention to help me. Only to be told I’d have to order online. The most frustrating, time consuming process and their employees are rude!
Fun mall
Sorry to inconvenience you on asking for help... how dare I ask to demo a product.Wonder why brick and mortars are going away? Prime example can be seen at this establishment.
Just was in recently with an iPhone issue, I’d been to the Fashion Place store, then Best Buy, then Simply MAC and finally was able to get my problem resolved here. They swapped my iPhone for a new one and everything this was good! All of the staff they I dealt with were nice and actually competent, they seemed better than at Fashion Place. I’m defiantly coming here instead next time as well.
Pretty good Apple store. As always the Apple stores are clean, uncluttered and spacious. I have purchased from apple stores in the past and it has always been a painless process. I like being able to have the associates come to you and finish the purchase where you are, and not having to go to them. It makes for a different retail experience.
Staff is kind and this location is very organized, even during COVID.
Very nice! & exciting. I love the fountains! . . .But could you move it closer to my house? So I can visit more easily. 😊
I love going to place when I visit SLC
The employees are very helpful
Very knowledgeable staff.
Dear Apple Genius Jordan, you are the truest of heroes. You went so above and beyond to help me, made sure to explore every possible option, and make my experience there great. I came into the store without a Genius bar appointment after several failed attempts to make an appointment online. Since I was coming from 4 hours away (I live in a rural area with no Apple store access), Jordan not only made time for me despite not having an appointment, but discovered I was still under warranty, and sent my Mac in for repairs directly from the store to save me some headache. I couldnt believe how accommodating he and the rest of the team were. For such a busy store, I felt incredibly prioritized, respected, and listened to. Now, Ill get my fixed computer sent directly back to my house, free of charge, and it is all thanks to The Greatest Human Who Ever Lived, Jordan. Apple higher ups, if youre listening, give that man a raise. Thank you!
This is a great location. Ronna Del Rey is the cutest Genius Bar employee. 5/5 stars, would recommend.
DOZENS of cheers for Kyle at City Creek. Only want to write a review as helpful as he was! Kyles a wonder boy, specifically with the older crowd. Ask for him! Wait for him!I was struggling to make photo books for my grands; had spent hours stewing in frustration. Klye made a list, 1 to 9. He wrote it down on a note on the computer screen. Then he took me through each step. When I could walk a bit he left me for another customer and repeated that process until I could fly! Such patience. Such precision! This after Id checked everywhere on line, visited the U of U computer help folks and ended up with nothing. Magic man Kyle is the answer!
Great!
This place blows. No communication. No organization. Every employee tells you something different. You make an appointment and it doesn’t matter. No reason to make an appointment when it doesn’t matter. I’ll go buy a Samsung product.
I bought a new $4000 macbook pro and then drove up to Boise (the Apple store in Boise is currently closed). After finding the laptop was DOA and spending two hours talking to Apple support, they refused to let me return the laptop by mail, insisting I had to drive 5 hours back to SLC and return it there. Apples return policy does not have any indication that items purchased at a physical store must be returned there.
My iPhone x lost the signal again after I have already taken it to both the Murray and Salt Lake Apple stores to have them erase and restore it. I spent roughly four hours waiting for my appointment to come up at both stores, then another couple of hours at each store with additional wait time and repair time. When I lost the Verizon signal again today, I took it to Simply Mac and Apple told them to have me update it to ios 12. We sat for about 30 minutes while the phone went through the update process. At what seemed to be the end of the process, the phone completely died. It will not turn on, and not restart.Simply Mac indicated I would need to go back to an Apple corporate store 40 minutes away in Salt Lake, wait another 4 hours to get in, and hope the fourth time is the charm. I went to Apples website to schedule an appointment at their store. In order to do so, I have to obtain a verification number from my iPhone. Can someone at Apple tell me how the &@#k& I am supposed to receive a verification code to set an appointment when my iPhone is dead and wont start? This is no longer the company that Steve Jobs ran. The stellar product support that Apple used to offer has died. I strongly recommend avoiding Apple for the next several years until they return to the level of premium product support they used to have.
Had a great experience stopping in to have my phone display fixed! They checked me in for my appointment and there was no wait to get started! Always a great experience with customer service at this location!
Love this Apple store location! I’ve taken many iPhone and MacBook Pro classes here and always have a great experience with the instructors and classmates, I always learn something new! Yesterday Adam was the instructor, we had so much fun taking portraits outside around the water features and trying different/new techniques.Parking is free for two hours, park on the west side to have closer access to the Apple store.Easy to go to the Apple Store App and sign up!
This is my favorite Apple store locally because it feels so much larger, newer, and less crowded than the Fashion Place location. Their selection of devices to try is larger as well. Overall a much more pleasant experience. The other location has become too crowded and busy so for me it’s almost worth the extra drive downtown just to enjoy this location.
They completed my MacBook repair in 2 days instead of the 3 to 5 days they said it would take. +1. I havent picked it up yet because I read the email too late in the day to be able to pick it up right away, but they did notify me by email. I would have liked a text message or phone call, though, because I would have received notification sooner than email and I could have picked it up Saturday evening instead of having to wait a full extra day and a half to pick it up due to the store being closed on Sundays. Its my work computer and its important that I get access to it as quickly as possible. The staff was very nice that I talked with when I dropped it off, and they seemed to be knowledgeable enough and very courteous. Ill have to wait and see how well it was repaired when I pick it up. It had a settlement battery which, fortunately, is covered by a three year warranty since Ive had it for 13 months. I dont have Apple Care, but it is owned by work, so I thought it had been covered. So all in all a positive experience, but I would have liked to have received a text message or phone call telling me it was ready to pick up.
This is bigger than you’d expect. Great high end shops and fun fountain and river. Kids loved it.
Jason, the manager, is awesome. We experienced some slow customer service, explained it to Jason, and were taken care of immediately. We understand things get hectic at the store - Jason was there to help us out. Thank you!
Apple always delivers user friendly products. I’ve owned iPods and iPhones since their invention and have always been happy with how they performed. I recently used apples automated system to help me resolve a cracked screen on my wife’s phone, it worked very well. We will see how it’s all handled this week when she brings her iPhone in to get serviced. Will update my review then.
I had an appointment at 7:30, they sat me at a table was not help tell after 8:15. But they did help me. I was able to get my Apple Watch look, and sent in to be fixed. (So expect to wait a along time to be helped.) I’m pretty patient but just not cool to make your customer wait
Very helpful people
Too expensive
Thank you so much for all your help! I found in your store the help no one else was willing to offer. Thanks for understanding. Thanks for all you do
Aime and John were amazing when they helped with my very difficult situation. They had me in and out faster than I ever imagined and they worked together so well. Definitely going back.
Nice shopping mall
