I live in central Utah and our truck arrived 10 min before closing and they refused to load our small order saying it would be “easier” to load it the next day. What would take them 10 min will cost me 3 1/2 hrs( that does sound easier). As a business owner myself I am very disappointed in the lack of service and consideration.*Response - Thanks for your response. I did have to make an extra trip to pick up my material and was treated well while at your facility. I do understand that not every employee wants to service the customer just before closing time. Thanks again for your response and after it is all said and done I will use you in the future. I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars.

First of all I own a welding company and been in the industry for over 20 years..I will start by saying my first impression wasn’t super great, just seem like the rest of steel suppliers but as I kept coming and started getting to know Todd and his screw I realize this guys are great people and always look for the best interest in the customer..To this day i been coming for about 4 years now and purchasing thousands every year and no other steel company takes better care of me than this guys. We custom make pipe fencing and custom pole barns, so our order list can require a lot of difference lengths, sizes and colors. Triple-S Steel always works great with our clients for pricing and payment. We use them for all our jobs and they are great to with.

Visited here for the first time, needed some metal for a school project. The staff here were really friendly, helpful, and nice. I was able to get some steel scraps, they were more than fair on the price. Would definitely come here again. Steel scraps are 59 cents a pound. However for students its 55 cents.

I have been doing business with Triple S for 10 years. Up until recently (past 1.5 year) I have been extremely happy with selection, stock, price and customer service. However the past several times I have come in one of front desk guys seemed to just be way to cool for his own good. He is rude, condescending and poor hygiene (which I will not get into). Although this was annoying it was not a reason to stop shopping here. The straw that broke the camel’s back is that they refused to take back a spool of MIG wire. The box had been open but it was clear it had not been used. I was not looking to get my money back just exchange it for the correct size. This may seem small but all the more reason to provide some customer service. I have always recommended anyone that ask me to go to Triple S over Wasatch or Metal Mart. Not only will I no longer recommend them I will also discontinue shopping there myself.

Triple-S Steel Supply had a lot better prices than the other steel suppliers in the area when I was calling around for quotes. Unfortunately, their customer service is extremely poor. I called in last Friday and put in an order, the sales person said it should be ready the next Wednesday. I gave them a call on Wednesday and I spoke with Josh to see when I could come get my order, they couldnt find my order and Josh said it looks like my order got lost... Josh seemed very responsive on the phone and said he would put in my order in, email me a confirmation, and talk with the saw crew to see if they could get my order processed quickly because of the mess up. Well, I never got a confirmation email nor phone call. After going back and forth with them for almost a week and making no progress, I decided to take my business elsewhere. The other steel supplier I contacted was more expensive but they took my order, payment, and sent me an email confirmation with a pick up date within 10 minutes of the phone call. Like I said, Triple-S had the best prices but it seems like their customer service and order processing is lacking.

There the WORST. And get people to give them reviews. Never answer the phones and never reach back when you leave voice mails. Bad customer service. HORRIBLE.

Good place to shop for your metal needs

Why don’t you answer the phone or call back when a message is left? I’ve been trying to call and place an order for 3 days. 3 days! Somebody finally answered but immediately hung up like they were trying to get the phone to stop ringing. I’ve never had a pleasant experience ordering or picking up material here, but this was the last straw. Metal Mart will be receiving my business from now on.

I went here frequently a few years ago, but stopped due to their staff. They were the only game in town for remnants and they had some good cheap deals on hammered edge tubing. But between it being painfully long to pay and get my order squared away, and their warehouse staff’s dismissive attitudes I had to call it quits. I had emailed the manager at one point and received a nice reply, but the next trip out there they tried to load my material in a way that would have bent it and I told them to unload everything and went and canceled my order. Maybe they were bothered by my small orders and they didn’t like cutting my tubing down so I could haul it easier. Either way, their operating methods cost them a customer who is now placing decent sized orders for multiple sheets through their competitors.

Im not normally one to post bad reviews.My first experience was tolerable but not great either. Took 1–2 hours to pickup my order. Took way too long to pay. Pickup didnt seem super organized.My second order from SSS went as planned. We ordered 8 or so horse corral panels to be delivered to our house about 45 minutes away. They were easier to order and showed up when expected.For my third order, I requested a quote on their website on a Monday. Called Thursday because I hadn’t heard anything. I was told someone would call me right back. They didn’t. Called again on Monday and was told they’d have a salesperson call me. It’s Tuesday night and I haven’t heard anything. When I had them on the phone Monday they told me it’d be a 6-8 week wait for a metal roofing order for a small animal building (under 30 pieces) vs the 5-7 days listed on their website.Update: Never did hear from SSS on my third order. I ended up ordering from Metal Mart in Lehi, UT. Response was fast on their online form. Order took 5-7 days as listed on Metal Mart website. They emailed/texted us when our order was ready. I walked in and paid with no line. We got there and waiting approximately 20 minutes for them to bring the nicely packaged order out to our car. The guy who delivered the order was friendly and helpful. The order was packaged with extra metal to protect our ordered pieces. Wrapped with metal strapping and 2x4s. Super impressed by these Metal Mart.

I have bought several items from these guys and have always found them to be very helpful. Good to work with.

Had shopped here to buy materials for a shed, and talked too lindseyHe was courteous and we had our order in 3 days, (the reason for any star at all) on the other hand i ordered materials for my house with John Garcia, very poor customer service, said he wouldve had a bid in a couple of hours, i called him after 3days he said he would get right on it, 4 more days passed, i went too their office and he did the quote i front of me, he said they would be ready in a week, two weeks later it was ready, they didnt inform me that the delivery did not include unloading, so i scrambled to get a fork lift driver there, when i checked the load it was missing the end enclosures, when i called i was told they were on back order, i needed 2 more pieces of metal, same as above, never quoted yada yada, never made, i ended up going to Metal Mart in Am fork, they never refunded the money for the enclosures and said they had know way know if they were picked up or not, RIP OFF **JOHN GARCIA** RIP OFF!!ALL TO DO OVER AGAIN I WOULD PAY THE EXTRA AND GO TO METAL MART

I buy metal from triple S all the time they are my go to place for steelMetal roofing 🤬🤬🤬I originally emailed on 31aug3 weeks later finally get back to me“7-10 days” turned to 2-3 weeksdrive down (180 miles) w/trailer whole order not ready“end of the week”“Monday afternoon”“End of the week early next week”It’s now 27 Oct I have heard every excuse why it’s not readyI would recommend them for steel but roofing save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere

Nice guys but the experience was terrible. They didn’t have the order ready when they said they would apparently the forklift was broke down for over a week and they weren’t given a replacement, clearly they can’t handle the walk-in Business or even The will call Preorders efficiently the price wasn’t good enough for a 2 hour wait to pickUp a preordered will call.

Awful customer service and will never use them again. Todd is the assistant manager and is not a very honest person. Was told our order was ready and it wasnt even fabricated as we were there waiting. If I could give this place a zero I would. The first time was an awful experience and we decided to give them another shot. Will not be using them again.

Update: this problem has been resolved in a very professional mannerThanksBeware. I recently purchased a metal roof from this company. In their advertising it states that the color may vary from the picture which is fine, but nowhere does it say they can sell you two completely different colors in one order. When I called to inquire about the problem they told me I was basically stuck with the metal I purchased. And they would have the manager call me, which he never did. I would strongly suggest using a different company. Very poor business practice, and I will be looking into the fair trade act, with failure to disclose!

AWFUL customer service. They gave us the wrong screws and wouldn’t take them back, after accusing us of using them. (Even though they didn’t even work for my project) we walked in and didn’t even get a hello. Literally the worst people I’ve ever met in my life. They acted put out when we asked for different screws. Just the worst, don’t even deserve one star. Maybe find some people that actually have someone of a customer service background cuz none of these people need to be in an environment that work with people.

Terrible customer service. Stopped in to ask some questions and possibly begin a relationship for future business. I have been looking to expand services I provide to my customers. I waited several minutes at the counter to have one of the five people working available to answer questions that I have, and place an order for a job. One of the workers was ringing up a customer and when he finished I stepped up to ask him a question. He looked at me and turned away. Not only did he ignore me, he turned to another person and begun to talk to them about a company party. I waited another few min thinking he would ask me if I needed help or let me ask him the questions I have. He did not. I turned and begun to walk out.... thought again one of them would say something.... the same person made eye contact with me as I opened the door to leave... not one person asked me anything during the time I was there, nor did they let me ask them any questions. I do not recommend taking business here.

They have great customer service, and their prices are the best Ive found in Utah. Highly recommended.

All of the staff I have come across have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have also had the cheapest prices for steel in town, not to mention the super discounted remnants bay.

I have gotten some great deals on their metal roofing panels. I usually look on KSL for the deal and go in. The front desk gal is quick to get us out and loaded.

Terrible service. Dont even try to call and get material on will call. Be prepared to wait around a long time if you go there. Wasatch Steel has been much more helpful.

If your trying to unload here, and your driving anything that has more than 2 axles... be prepared for a delay. Im talking a 2-3 hour lunch break/nap type of delay. It appears that they have no concern for big rigs bringing them material that they need to sell.

I take all my business and personal needs here, good stock, good prices, dont bother anywhere else.

Its a great place for wide selection of structural steel, and friendly staff. I buy from these guys for both work projects and home.

Nobody beats their prices, if they would just have the prices ready to go at the speed of business, they would turn out as many customers as wasatch steel does.
