Other than that, interactions with other employees were not pleasant and could use a company workshop in Customer Service that Creates Repeat Business

I have Samuel as my sales associate and he is awesome. I just ordered my ford maverick and had some items on it with late availability, he was nice enough to call me( i was asleep and he called multiple times which i really appreciate. other dealerships i contacted would take days to get back to me and only called once. also i work nightshift so i sleep during day)and help me remove those for a sooner arrival date. This is what i like a sales person that cares and didnt just order it, he put thought into it. Thanks, really excited for my truck only downfall is fords delays for item shortages, but not their fault.

My husband and I are highly disappointed with how Ish Ismael and Matthew, the guy in finance handled our business at this location. We went in already being approved through our bank with a 1.9 interest rate looking for a vehicle in our price range, of course they showed us vehicles that where a lot higher but we went ahead with trying to get approved with a higher amount through our bank. However we where not told that they would be running our credit with other banks due to our bank being closed. We did not find this out until we where half way through filling out paper work for the sale. I noticed right away we had been approved through a different bank that had a 7.04 interest rate! I asked Matthew why that was the case and he reassured us that it would be fine and all we had to do was refinance our vehicle later on with our bank. Being that it was our first time purchasing a vehicle we agreed. We later found out that we have several inquiries on our credit which will not cancel till 2023 and our interest will go up with our bank.After we spoke with our bank they told us get the refund for the gap so we went in to see Matthew again, he told us to wait until we had an account set up,we told him that we where not aware of them running our credit several times and that we shouldve just waited till the next day, he then tells us we get a lot of people saying that and then they dont come back so we had to make the sale right then and there. We went to Red McCombs because our family has been doing business with them for years but we will no longer go to this location! If you do go please make sure how they are handling your information!Update: They did call us, but to let us know that we should take this post down. Not to fix what they did, which was running our credit with other banks when we already had been approved with our bank, being deceitful. These people do not care about the customer!

Originally I had taken my mom there to get a used car and he took the time to listen to my mom as well as explain everything to her and he did the best he could to get us into a good vehicle that was in our price range. If I could leave less, I would. What should have been less than a 2 hr oil changed turned into 5 hours of wasted time. Thats 5 hours of my life I cant get back. They dont have oil changes by scheduled appointments, its quick lane first come first serve. The employees have zero sense of customer service, let alone direction. I spent 30 minutes waiting to find out when a shuttle could take me home since their waiting room includes 3 or 4 benches outside in the hot San Antonio sun. The girl in front called to tell me she couldnt locate my Ford pass on my brand new vehicle. She offered the higher end oil which is great. However, come to find out my car was serviced with regular synthetic vs high end and now I have to go back WAY sooner than I would intend to. Did I mention it took FIVE hours to get this 45 minute job done. FIVE hours! Jiffy lube has a first come first serve policy and they take an hr and have snacks. They didnt bother to call to let me know the car was finished, send their shuttle to retrieve me, or let me know when they would be arriving. Who has time for this. At least the Toyota dealerships have free coffee, popcorn, cookies, and a decent waiting area. This is ridiculous and unfortunate. I wont ever go back to this dealership.

Had my vehicle towed in due to a failing steering rack the part took 1 week to get in, which is understandable because they had to ship it in from a different dealership out of state. When the vehicle was finally ready i payed and went along my way. The next day i was looking at the invoice and the steering rack price on my invoice was 1614.12 so i called the parts department and the price of the part was 1521.82 so i called my service advisor notified him of the difference he proceeds to tell me the part department had given me a discount and thats why there was a price difference. So upset after hearing that i called two other dealerships in the area and they confirmed that 1521.82 was the price and that there were no discounts applied. I then give my advisor a call no answer he then had called me back and i told him what the other dealerships had told me then the story changes too the price changed because now there on back order at this point its excuse after excuse if he was aware that price changes why not tell me that from the beginning i would have understood that honestly my car did get fixed but the way this whole situation was handled id recommend people not to take your vehicle here and if you do get a parts list of what there going to replace and call around to other dealerships to make sure the prices match up. btw i spent over 2k here.UPDATE it has almost been a week since the person left that response and havent received any call or text about this situation.Shows how little they communicate with their customers.

I can not speak more highly of Shayan Goodarzi!!!He made me feel so welcome and comfortable the moment I stepped on the the parking lot of Ford.During the entire time of purchasing my vehicle he asked me questions on what I needed and answered them quickly and efficiently!After buying and receiving my car I wanted to add different floor mats to my Bronco and he immediately had them ready for me within the next hour and ordered ones for my trunk!!He makes himself available and is an amazing person who know his stuff!If you plan to buy a Ford go to Shayan he will take good care of you!!

I showed up not knowing want I wanted exactly but Brenda helped me out by asking what I like and don’t like and made the process so much easier. She showed me a 2021 Ford Escape, and talked about the awesome features it has. I was pretty much sold, she did a great job talking about the car that I was confident that a Ford Escape is what I want. I would definitely recommend talking to her. Shayan and LG also made the paperwork process understandable so I was comfortable and satisfied, and I was able to drive off with my new Ford Escape. They are a great team! 10/10

I debated writing this review until I was completely finished with this dealership but decided to go ahead and write it.It started off a great experience. My sales person was nice. Upon purchasing the vehicle I was told the spare key was still being mailed but they would call me. A couple weeks later, I received no communication so I came by to ask and cancel my extended warranty. I was told the key was lost and they would have to reprogram a new key. I asked if they could do it right then but they were to busy. I live over an hour away so it is a lot of time and gas each time. I called the service department and made an appointment. I drove all the way down and when I got in, nobody knew about my appointment ! My sales person came and said he would look into it. I waited there for around an hour, was told they had the key and to come back at 7. I came back at that time and they made a mistake, they didn’t have the key and couldn’t do it. So I wasted a whole day and nothing was accomplished. I came back again the next week when the ordered key came in and finally they did it. It was still 4 long trips that took up my time, gas, and lacked professionalism and communication.I additionally canceled my warranty 3 months ago and it has yet to be refunded back. I was told it would take 2 months max. I have called the finance department and every time they say it will be done the next week.I don’t usually write bad reviews but I really had an awful experience here. I plan on trading in for a Bronco in the next couple of years but will definitely take my business somewhere else.

I went in for a trade-in on 5/19/21. I was able to test drive 2 cars and my salesman was really nice and calm with me the whole time. My 3 stars is just for the salesman not going back to his desk in his cubicle where I was waiting. Salesman named He forgot me in his cubicle. Another salesman saw me waiting so he sat down and started talking about down payment, monthly payments although I had discussed it with the first salesman. I left.

Sales staff were courteous and not too pushy. We did not feel rushed and spent a few hours reviewing/test driving vehicles with an employee before even discussing any financing options or running any credit background.I would recommend calling ahead a day or two for an appointment. If you have an idea in mind of what you want they can try to find it for you. This is what we did and I think it made the process much easier.I would definitely shop with Mark again if I was in the market.

Henry Finley, the General Manager, has been a friend of mine since High School and has always taken very good care of us with he new car purchase. This time I was looking for a new car for my wife, and he put us in the good hands of Chris Gates. Chris showed us every vehicle that we wanted to see. Our parents and I bought vehicles from here (brand new F-150 and Expedition) within a few days of each other. Long story short, it is highly likely I will never purchase another vehicle from here nor would I recommend it. Don’t get me wrong, we love the truck, but sales’ follow-up to customers has opportunity for improvement. After purchase, we were told to come back for some additional items added to the truck and kept either being delayed and/or no response to phone calls, texts or voicemails. There were multiple times when we were advised by sales that X and Y job could be completed on the truck simultaneously, only to find out that wasn’t true and we had to come back for 4 different appointments. At one point we even had a loaner truck for nearly a week while they worked on ours which we hadn’t had more than 24 hours. Everyone’s time is valuable and I understand Sales’ focus is to generate revenue, but keep in mind the customers’ focus is to feel they received the best for what they paid for and their hard earned money was well spent. We also understand we didn’t receive world class service from 3 other dealerships either, but this was the worst purchasing experience I’ve ever been through after purchasing a dozen new vehicles over 20+ years. My advice to future customers would be to get their “promises” from Sales in writing with dates and times signed.

Worst service ever. Over 2 hour wait, when my car was done, they called me on phone instead of coming out the door to tell me my car was ready (they came out to tell other customers). Adrian was rude and acted as if it was beneath him to help anyone. After I paid, he gave me the sticker to put on my windshield….what the actual &$(;)? There is no feeling quite like people making you feel like your are nothing more than an inconvenience to them. It was clearly too much to ask them to put the sticker on my windshield or for someone to come outside to let me know my car was ready. McCombs Ford has lost a once loyal customer for life!

The sales rep approached us when we first arrived but did not pressure us with anything. Instead, he asked what we were looking for and took note of what options were important to us. He suggested a few models and let us examine each in our own time. When I finally decided on one that was not on the lot, the Ford team tracked down the one I wanted in another city and went out of their way to personally secure it for me. Went to McCombs Ford West to check on a check engine light on a Friday, for a full scan of the reading, since they had several vehicles already schedule for that day, I made an appointment to bring my vehicle in on a Wednesday along with a schedule appointment I had already for the Sync. I spoke with Michael Wright about adding the Check engine light to my already schedule appointment, he said when I come in on Wednesday just let them know. Wednesday I showed up at my appointment and he argue me down about the check engine light. He indicated we never discussed that, and it would be several days before they could get it done. I ask to speak to Jesse. He claimed he went looking for Jesse but could not find him, however he went on to say give me your keys and we check it out. Eventually Jesse came over an spoke to me about my concerns.I bought my vehicle to Ford hoping for an honest evaluation of the problem with my vehicle. Instead, I was told the check engine light P0430 and P0420 is a Cat Converter problem and need to be replace. Just because the code indicates that reading does not mean that is the problem. I had taken my vehicle to another mechanic and there were several other reasons why he indicated the check engine light was coming on and off. I just wanted to make of the problem and not shell out money for something that is not necessary. Since I was paying for scan, I asked for all the details of what the system found. Well, it got interesting when I asked Michael for the scan detail of the reading because I knew they were lying about the problem. He went back to his office and came back with 1 sheet of paper with nothing of the reading. He also said there was no charge for the service after he threw my key on the table.I asked to speak to Jesse about the situation that occurred. Jesse tried to cover up what had happened by trying to make it look like he was helping me out by giving me 2 sheets of the beginning of the reading from the scan that basically said nothing. He obviously did not realize I saw several sheets of the details of the scan which Michael had which what was what I thought I was going to get for the $150.00 charge which I was told it cost. However, since they were lying about what was really wrong with my vehicle, they did not want to give me those papers that really would have told the truth of the problem.I have been buying Fords for over 30 years and this last vehicle from Ford have given us nothing but problems. The service you receive when you are buying the car should be the same after you own it. After this last experience with Ford, we have had enough. Michael is a liability to your company, so you know what that mean. DONE WITH FORD!

Two people called to make sure we knew where they were located and who was waiting for us. Kris greeted us and turned us over to Hector. Hector was very informative and polite with all the questions. Called at the dealer didnt know what I would want to but yet I called to see what I can get if I can get anything they ran my credit so therefore I was surprised on what I was getting when I got to the dealer in the relationship with the with Christian Martinez and the sales team when I got to the dealer I was surprise on what I was qualified for because I could use that vehicle because I like the back rear end it goes sideways like a door not like a hatch back so therefore I was able to get a good quality vehicle with a lot of bells and whistles I would not think I would be qualified for and the kind of service that I had gotten awesome teamwork great attitude no complaints keep up the good work all thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a man of his word, and will go above and beyond to make sure that you walk out of the dealership with a vehicle of your choice. My 2014 mustang radio has not worked in over a month. Apparently this is not an uncommon issue with many ford factory radios in their teen model cars and trucks. But not enough for a recall. I spoke with Bobby Gonzalez and he told me $140 for a diagnostic fee which will NOT be applied towards any work performed to either repair or replace the radio. My dads 1984 F150 radio worked for over 20 years. Lets see how much car stereos for mustangs are at Best Buy and Amazon.

Pretty shocked to drop my vehicle off 08:30 in the morning and service department not call me one time letting me know the status of my vehicle 5/01/2021 then being there all day until closing 1700 and still nothing from them.It was even more shocking for me to get there at the service shop after hours and see whoever moved my vehicle leave it unlocked. My truck was not secured? SMH and No one from the dealership side didn’t even take a second look to stop me and question me from driving it off the Lot 19:07 p.m. I find that a huge problem if I entrust them with the security and safety of my vehicle. Secondly I will not get my vehicle serviced here or recommend them.. I feel they failed to provide Quality Customer Serviceas a unit team at this location ( Ford7111 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX )

Fair wait times for an oil change, they’re nice at the front desk and will always answer any questions you have regarding your vehicle check up. They have clean restrooms and free water as well which is really nice! The one problem I have is that they charge an absurd amount to fix simple leaks, you’re better off visiting a local mechanic that’ll charge you half the price.

I went into this dealership today 01/28/2020. To look at a Subaru Legacy GT they had online. It was overpriced to start, but when I got there it was $300 more expensive than the add online. but it looked like it was in good condition from the pictures and had pretty low mikes for a 2006 car so I looked anyway. When we arrived we were promptly met by a salesman who seemed nice enough. That’s where the good ended. It took them 15minutes to find the car. When they did, we took it out for a test drive. While we were driving I noticed the signs of a turbo bearing going. I told this to the sales men and he said they would do a “safety inspection” then when we returned to the lot the car started blowing smoke out of the bottom of the head. Obviously from the head gasket. When I mentioned it. The salesmen said he would go talk to the manager about it. When he returned he said if I bought the car they do their point “safety inspection” and if it was unsafe they would refund my money. I asked if they would do it before I bought it and I was told no. I’d have to purchase the car then they would do a priority inspection. they were really good at not saying they would fix anything. But guaranteeing “safety inspection”So I went to look at a car, it had a probable blown head gasket. Then when I asked if they would fix it. They said they’d inspect it after I bought it. When I said I’d think about it the manager came up to sell me a truck cause I said I need a 4 door car with AWD. Then he switched gear to a truck I Had very little interest in. I will not being doing anymore business with this dealership. They are shady. And try to sell cars they know are in need of serious repair. Beware of this if you do business with them.

Bought our third new F-150 from here and after 4,000 miles the NEW truck is not running properly and engine light is on, take it back to this dealer for service and they claim nothing is wrong the computer just reset itself, a day later engine light is back on and truck is not running properly so they keep it but say they cannot even look at it for at least 3 days and cannot give us a loan vehicle to use in the interim. They have a gang of salesmen waiting to descend upon you to sell a vehicle but getting a vehicle serviced after the sale is a completely different story. NEVER plan to purchase a vehicle here again. .,

Service was okay when I was there but two weeks of having my car the check engine light came on now getting ahold of the dealer is complicated. Took the car to service at Ford mccomb west service center and they had my car for three weeks for service of check engine light and a few other things . I barely received any updates about when I could be expecting the cars return or when I did it was never done on the day they said it would. Finally got it back and it’s worse then it was when I took it in, I had one code come up on the scanner now I have six and the other problems I asked to be taken care of through the warranty hasnt even been fixed… very very dissatisfied customer

The Quick Lane was so busy it took me a few trips to not have a 3+ hour wait for tire rotation, oil change, and inspection. Other maintenance areas at different dealerships (like Honda - for my wife’s car) include free amenities like car washes, snacks, etc. to at least make the wait worthwhile. I’ve always driven a Ford F-150 and don’t plan to change that, but other dealers services provide more...that’s why I have to rate it a 3/5.

We were assisted by Pat Powers. He was so kind and knowledgeable. As soon as he greeted us, I knew that he would not try to sell us a vehicle that we could not afford, yet do all that he could to help us get what we wanted/needed. The entire process from Hello, to the test drive; the signing of the financing paperwork to the handing-over-of-the-keys took all of 3 hours. Went to get an oil change over two hour wait. I left and went to Jiffy Lube around the corner on maubach Rd. No wait speedy professional and thorough. I don’t like this place plus there was no where to sit down except for outside in the blazing heat.

A great experience. The internet sales director was a tough negotiator, but was pleasant and professional and made me a deal that I was quite happy with. At the dealership my salesman was very easy to deal with, had a good sense of humor and made a fun experience out of the transaction. I arrived at one of the busiest times so had a bit of a long wait getting into finance. The customer service gal could see I was getting a bit antsy, so she ran over to used car sales and got one of their guys to handle the transaction. He handled it in record time and I was out of there literally in less than 15 minutes. So, would I recommend McCombs West to my friends? Absolutely!BTW, forgot to say, I am crazy about my new Explorer. I probably did a lot more research than most people do, plus I hadnt bought a new car in a while, but I nailed it on this choice. Exactly what you want in an SUV.

I needed to purchase a Used Pickup! We looked at several, then took a test drive. We took a drive to another lot to check out other trucks but ultimately decided on the original one we test drove first. While there my daughter saw a sporty Ford Edge and they promised to give us a good deal if we purchased both! Needless to say we left with 2 vehicles! Service advisor was and is amazing. There’s a disconnect with the techs in the back. They miss things. Fort get to bolt things back down, forget to “top off” fluids and it seems they don’t listen to what you, the customer has concerns about so they fix why they want. Huge disconnect between you the service advisor and the techs in the back. Definitely not an upper scale department

We had a great experience at McCombs West this last evening buying our 2020 Explorer. We owe that to our salesman Jesus Marquez and the whole team. Jesus was knowledgeable, helpful (we had 3 kids with us), and just plain genuine. He and his sales team worked the numbers on our Explorer until we were very happy with the price/payment.ALL of my car buying experiences have been absolute nightmares, most notably my last with the crooks at Gilman 6 months ago which left me with a $4500 maintenance bill within my first 1000 miles.Jesus and the whole team at McCombs Ford West were the exact opposite and I’d send anyone there to purchase their next vehicle! Very unhappy with my service. I went to get an oil change on my f150 and 2 days after I noticed that It was spaying oil everywhere cause the oil filter wasnt tight enough. When I had noticed, my truck was almost bone dry, they sent a tow truck out and I got my truck back the next day but when I tried to get into contact to a Manger to talk about my concerns It seems impossible to talk to one. I was promised several phone calls though out the next couple weeks and I still havent heard anything back. Turns out a $50 oil change cost more then that being I need to pay to get my drive way pressure washed, I missed work, and possible lasting damages to my engine.
