From the beginning Hunter made the buying process easy and hes very personable. Hes truly a star performer. I didnt feel haggled and ended up with the vehicle that I truly wanted. The rest of the staff within the building are very pleasant and customer oriented. I also want to mention and thank Ken for perfectly explaining the next steps and ensuring the paperwork was correct. I appreciate his sense of humor and keeping my 4 year old busy while we went through the paperwork as well. My overall experience was 5 stars and I highly recommend this business. The WORST experience ever!!! NOT Honest Sales and service. I tried to buy GV80 with the trade in. When I brought my vehicle, I didnt wash my car so there are some falling tree stains on my car which is totally washable. And, they gave me the value as $7400 because of that reason and they said it will be hard to clean which is not correct. And, GV80 was not new either. It was a loaner car with more than 1300 miles and they are selling as a New. They offered me only $500 off for 1300miles loaner car. Nowadays the car inventory is low, so they are not giving more discount and they said they calculated $0.25 per mile. However, as I searched, the loaner should be more than thousands dollars lower from the sticker price. And, I asked for my car as $9000, but they said it is very hard because of that stain. Therefore, I want to make sure my car value, so I went to CARMAX and they gave $10000. Please dont trust this dealer trade in value and they gave so low and not fair at all. Furthermore, they put the car price as $60545.00 on the website and sticker, but they put $61945 in the offer paper. So I asked extra charge and they said it is because they tinted the windows and others. They should put all in price in the website and sticker. They should not hide any hidden upgrade if they did from the beginning. And, I asked $3000 off for the loaner and $10000 for my car, but they said they could not and deal was over. And, two days later the sales guy texted me $2000 off and $9000 trade in and I asked $2000 off and $10000 trade in. He said it is good to go and finish deal. However, I went there with my down payment, but he showed me $2000 off and $9200 with $525 tax saving(total $9725) paper. I was really mad because he is trying to deceive me with tax saving again. I cleared text him my car value should be $10000 and he accepted it. You need to be very careful when you deal with this dealer. They are trying to play with the customers with the tax saving numbers when you trade in. Totally not honest and wasted my time. If you want to buy a car with trade in, you need to go CARMAX and get your appraisal at first and make a deal. Otherwise, you can not make a good deal with them. And, you need to wash your car before you go lol.
Scheduled a service valet appointment online, and even got a text with a confirmation number. No one showed up or called. Clicking the link in the text message showed the appointment was canceled, but no reason why or any kind of notification to me. Calling the service department only ever gets through to voice mail. I tried leaving a message, but no one ever called me back.
***update: After escalating the experience (beyond the dealership), I was contacted by one of the managers (Matt) with an apology and an offer to continue purchase of car. Went back to dealership and experience was wonderful.***We are luxury car buyers and have purchased from Lexus and Porsche multiple times. We decided to check out the Genesis GV80 a few days ago and were told by a salesperson that we could not test drive the car because it was a luxury car and had to talk numbers first, and all the cars were sold. We left. Went back today to give it another chance and talk to someone else. We worked with Rene and Jordan and they were helpful, we test drove the car and decided to buy it. We had planned to go back Monday to finalize everything and get delivery of the car. While Jordan stepped away to process down payment a manager named Sal came up to us and was rude, condescending, and unprofessional over us wanting to leave so that we could feed our toddler. We walked out and on the way out the door Sal yelled we dont your f*ing business!... At a later date could not find the GV80 with same specs anywhere else, so decided to just deal with it and buy the car. Had plans to pick up the car. When I asked for the purchase order they then refused to sell me the car unless I removed this review.
I recently leased a black G80. I spent probably a year debating, visiting, and test driving them until I finally decided to go ahead and do it! At every visit the Sales Associates were helpful and patient. They even pulled the car out of the showroom for me to test drive since it was the one I was interested in! The buying process was great. Not a lot of back and forth, signed everything quickly, and walked through car capabilities. Hunter was especially wonderful through the multiple visits, answering questions I had(and my family had lol), and making sure I was comfortable with the whole process. They scan the wrong car in service department and now they say my Genesis is a second owner vehicle and I must pay for services. Even Genesis of USA cant convince these folks that Im an original owner. The service and sales are horrible with no one in sales person available. Last time I got a Hyundai rep to help me. I cant not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.
Never showed up or called for a scheduled service appointment with valet. Tried calling in twice and couldnt get to anyone. Tried internet chat and no responses after an hour.
The Service was genuine and hard working with good spirits, keep up the hard work ! My Genesis continues to be reliable as does the service here at this place.
Ive never experienced better care and service than what I received from Genesis of Northwest San Antonio. Starting from when I walked into the door to a month later when I needed service, Ive been treated like a king. This has all been made possible by Paul Flores. I usually dont write reviews but Ive bothered this man at work and off work and his diligence has never failed. I will never go to another dealership in this city. I will never not recommend this particular dealership to anyone in need of a vehicle new or old. They have never not taken care of me and I couldnt possibly be more grateful of Paul Flores hard work and the backing he has received from his leadership at Genesis of Northwest San Antonio.
I have a BMW and Genesis. My experience with Hyundai and Genesis was way different from what I had with a BMW service department. I think Genesis has a long way to compete with other premium brands especially for service department. I understand, at this moment, they share the facility with Hyundai. Ok, its fine. But the care for the customers is below par.Recently I had an engine oil changed and some parts replaced for my Genesis. I had to call them to check my car is ready to pick up and, in another occasion, to check the parts ordered arrived when they said they would call me when things were ready or arrived. They never called me first. Actually it was me to figure out. I even have left a message but no call back. This kind of experience is out of my expectation.
Great experience purchasing our new Genesis G90. Particularly helpful were Chris Posada, Paul Flores, and Ken Flynn. They are a great team and made the process easy.
