I took my Tesla model S to Art to install the NVX subwoofer kit and he took his time to make sure the job was done properly. He took pictures throughout the process so we could see before and after. Art is truly an artist at the install. Absolutely top notch professional installation with care and creativity in everything he touches. The quality of the parts, installation, and resulting sound completely blew me away. Sound is crystal clear and amazing. I can hear nuances of the cymbals and acoustic guitars that Ive never been able to hear before in a vehicle. The bass is just right in that I can hear what the bass player is doing without getting blown out by the kick drum. Art took the time to apply sound deadening to the inside of the doors while he had them apart. This means just driving my truck without the stereo on it sounds significantly better. Its quiet. Perfectionist hubby gives 2 thumbs up! That doesnt happen very often, but Art made it so, with ease. I bought 2 dash cams over a year ago after someone hit my parked car, then ran, causing ~$2500 damage. This a few years after another yahoo hit me then tried to pin it on me (unsuccessfully, Im proud to say); a dash cam would have made my life MUCH easier in both cases. I knew I wanted front & back cameras, with battery power, for recording while parked. I watched a few online videos, and along with my military electronics background, figured I could do the install. Well, I started over a year ago, and after several hours trying to run the rear camera wiring through my hatchback, I lost momentum. Cameras were uncovered recently in a cleanup effort, and I looked for someone to install them. I found Art and was impressed by his 5-star rating, and when I called him, he answered quickly, patiently addressed my numerous questions, and explained his scheduling. Longer story short: Art worked our 2 cars into his busy schedule - sooner than I expected - and then did a topnotch install in both vehicles. Perfectionist engineer hubby was impressed and could find NOTHING in his vehicle to fuss over. Art did an outstanding job in my vehicle as well, its just that Im more normal. Art picked up on hubbys questions about install on my vehicle which Art then used to absolutely DELIGHT hubby with install on his car. Bottom line: Art is not only a great guy, but hes also exceptionally skilled & gifted with vehicle electronics. He has a knack for reading people too, as he did with my hubby. Art also researched a remote starting system for hubbys vehicle, something no one else has done or even offered (another vendor declared only it wont work in your car). Hubby is ULTRA sensitive to heat so being able to pre-cool his vehicle will make life MUCH more enjoyable for him, which will also improve MY life. :) Bottom line: You wont go wrong with Art. We highly recommend that you use Audio by Art and the company’s owner, Art Ceballos, to meet or exceed your mobile audio requirements. In our case, we asked Art if he would consider installing a system in a 1991 Jeep Wrangler soft-top that we were restoring for our son-in-law. He was receptive to our request. We discussed ideas and reviewed his proposals over several weeks, realizing that his schedule of accepted projects meant that he wouldn’t be able to start on ours for a couple of months. We couldn’t be happier with the final result, which will be or is chronicled on his Facebook page. Art personally crafted three custom enclosures and installed equipment that exceeded our expectations. Those included a new head unit, six drivers/speakers, and two subwoofers which are driven by two amplifiers, one of which is a multi-channel amp and DSP (Digital Signal Processor). Art is amazing!!!! After visiting multiple shops in my local area I decided to make the hour drive to see Art. Guess what… he delivered. From now on I will be taking all of my vehicles to Art.

My father always told me that if you were going to do a job, do it right the first time. Unfortunately, that is not how many people think. The car audio industry lacks any formal quality controls and many of the new vehicles come with advanced, integrated computer systems which means aftermarket audio installs are more complex and must tie into the car’s existing head unit. Being that anyone can set up a business, call themselves an expert, and tear into your vehicle, you are entrusting valuable and necessary electronics to the person you hire to work on your car audio.I learned all of this the hard way over the last few months. I made a significant investment into an aftermarket audio system for my 2018 Honda Accord. I entrusted Yelp reviews and chose a shop that promised quick results. After the install, I started noticing problems. I hired another shop to tune the stereo because the shop that installed it, told me they didn’t do that (should have been a red flag). The system still did not sound right. I started making calls around town, asking who worked with high end car audio. I was referred to Audio by Art.I swallowed hard after Art listened to my car and told me he would need to take a look at the install. I came across Audio By Art while doing some google searches for radio installation. I wanted to make sure I took my car to someone with experience. The whole process was super easy I called and he got my vehicle and stereo information and he gave me a quote for everything. When I gave him the okay he ordered the parts. We scheduled a day and time and when that day wasn’t going to work for me anymore he offered to move my appointment to a sooner date on short notice. Art took very good care of my car! Everything is working properly and my new Pioneer stereo looks fantastic! I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! In my opinion, Art is the best 12V technician in San Antonio. He is really knowledgeable and has great technical skills working with your car. He took my prior install from Custom Sounds, corrected, and added the Audio by Art’s touch to take it to the next level. I was very impressed with the final result. He uses a computer to design boxes for proper air space, and another computer to tune! Amazing... he has a customer for life!

I originally went to another place (not knowing what I was getting myself into) and was just not happy with the quality of work that was completed. Art did a wonderful job ensuring the connections on my GPS system were correct and the unit was working properly. Dealer misdiagnosed the problem, and was going to charge nearly $1,400 to replace. However, Art removed, inspected, fixed and reinstalled GPS system at only a small fraction of what the dealer was going to charge. He is a very honest and very competent individual. I had a very specific idea for the system I wanted that included fabrication in both the front and back. I wanted a subwoofer in the back of my 4Runner that took little to no space as well as the controller for my DSP integrated into the factory console. I now have a touchscreen under my AC controls that looks like it was from the factory. He managed somehow to use the space between my body panels and the plastic in my cargo area to fit two 8” subwoofers in a spot that only goes ONE INCH into my cargo area. Freaking magic. I can not recommend Audio by Art enough. If you want a quality result by someone who takes pride in their work go here. He made my Audiofrog speakers SING LIKE ANGELS.
