This is a real nice place right by the Tower. It has very attractive indoor and outdoor seating areas with views of the park. Omelette and croissant breakfast sandwich were both excellent. Coffee was good too and they offer beer and wine options as well. Great place for single couples and families alike.

I walked here from my hotel every morning while in town for a conference. The morning walk combined with the lovely environment at Commonwealth, and delicious food and espresso drinks, was a delightful start to the day. I highly recommend stopping here instead of getting coffee at your hotel if you’re visiting San Antonio.

We stopped by San Antonio on our way headed back home to Houston. We wanted good breakfast and 2 popular spots we like to try were packed and long wait with 3 kids is not good for us.I googled and found this gym in such a great location next to an amazing park for our kids! We not only enjoyed the amazing food located in a house (which we love similar to our hometown in Houston Heights) we also enjoyed a sax player at the park and our kids joined in on some music interaction with these nice guys! The atmosphere was great, the line moved quick to walk up and order, then find a table. The mocha latte with almond milk was good, the chocolate croissant was delish!! The French toast and omelette on their Saturday brunch was also very Good!! I loved how they created a kitchen for all to see in this home and that the front and back patio are spots to eat! We will surely come back! Super awesome customer service Too! 🤗

This place is so beautiful, looks like a dream came true, absolutely in love and coming back for sure. We grab a cappuccino and a latte with oat milk, they have wine selections, food and delicious croissants. Everything was on point. I cant believe we have places like this one so close to us and no one talks more about it, every part of the shop every wall, oh God I just love it. Croissants are good but I wish mine was warm or toasted, I learned that I have to ask for it that way since the beginning or they throw yours and get one new, I didnt want mine too be tossed and then grab a new one just to make it warm so next time Ill ask for it on time ☺️

The inside seating here is a little bit sparse, but the patio seating overlooking the park is gorgeous. The pastries here are phenomenal, just like the location up off of Davis, and the Cubano sandwich was stellar (maybe could have benefited from a tinge of spicy mustard, but otherwise perfect). Also, the chocolate walnut croissant was delicious and soft and flaky and you need to go have one right now.

Appreciate a menu that goes beyond sweet pastries and includes savories like the Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame (bread plus cheese plus meat plus egg, in the case of the latter).Wish the establishment kept its juices better stocked - we would’ve spent more moola (and hence an even higher 25% tip) if there’d been more than a single solitary kid’s juice pack in the fridge when we arrived around 10-ish AM.

This is actually the worst customer service I’ve experienced EVER. After ordering the avocado toast, it came with none of the toppings described and after the menu says an egg is included, they wanted to charge extra on top of the already $9 piece of bread. I opted out on this. When it came to the table, it was a scoop of prefab avocado mash with some sprouts and like 3 chili flakes. No silverware. So I asked for some silverware to which the waitress looked at me like it wasn’t in her job description. She begrudgingly brought some to the table. I then asked for some chili flakes, not even asking for toppings listed on the menu that they left out. Just a few chili flakes to have any kind of seasoning. 5 minutes later she brought it. We were never asked if we needed anything. We tipped 20% of our bill when we got there (you pay and then sit). I’m not sure why they even deserve a tip since it’s clean up after your self and they didn’t do anything. Overpriced food. Horrible service. If you’re going to charge that much, at least include what’s on the menu and hire decent staff.

We came to this location at about 1:30pm on Monday, July 5, 2021. We were informed while ordering that there were no eggs or cheese so half of the menu was out of the question. When we did get our food, one of the sandwiches was supposed to come with avocado and it did not. We only remembered it was supposed to come with avocado when a server came out and informed another customer that they couldn’t make her sandwich because they didn’t have avocados. We also only got chips with two out of three of our sandwiches. Very underwhelmed and disappointed since we spent $60 on three sandwiches and two drinks (that didn’t come out until we were almost done with our sandwiches) and previously, this has been a place I very much enjoyed. We will most likely not be coming back.

I love their iced lattes (no flavor needed; the coffee is that good!) or a regular hot latte if I am in the mood for a hot drink (with raspberry - doesnt need it, but its so good). I wish I had taken photos so just take my word for it. We typically try non-chain places when on vacation but thought Id give Commonwealth a shot since it was a very short 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. What a great little cafe!!! Took the food back to the hotel (I surprised my wife with breakfast in bed). Had the Croissant Bechamel and a strawberry and blueberry cheese pastry for each of us along with 2 white chocolate macadamia chai lattes. WOW!!! This place is wonderful!! There about 8 people in front of me but they made the hot food to order and did it in short time. OMG! OMG! They have a beautiful chicken coop with four chickens that are literally stressed to death from lack of water. It is Monday, June 7, 2021 at 4pm, 90°F and they have no water!!!! One is dead. I gave the other 3 my two granddaughters bottled water and reported this horrifying incident to the sole clerk in the coffee shop. She was unable and/or unwilling to do anything. She says maintenance takes care of the hens. She did not have a key to open the coop to give water. I suggested she call the owner, her manager, maintenance, someone to help these poor hens whose lives are entrusted to such haphazard care. It was a terrible atrocity to witness after a wonderful visit to Yanaguana Park. I was absolutely horrified by the lack of attention and care for these lovely, but helpless hens.

CommonWealth left us with some mixed emotions after our first visit today. My wife and I both ordered coffees today (2/21). After we ordered we were directed to sit outside and they will bring us our order. About 20minutes went by and my wife went inside to check on our lates as we were wondering if we misheard them and we were supposed pick up our order. It was actually discovered that our order was never processed. Staff quickly rectified the situation and actually refunded the original transaction. Oddly enough, the couple who ordered right behind us then went to check on their order as it was never delivered either. Not sure if this is a common issue but definitely seems like something that could be addressed in the future. My wife and I loved the outdoor seating area, we are definitely jealous that we don’t live closer to this place.
