Derrick was beyond awesome! I had huge complications with the location that I picked my rental up from and he was able to fix all the issues. He definitely went above and beyond! Thanks again!!

Great service! I had contact with three employees including Ray, the owner, who was working on a Saturday (good sign). Each employee was fantastic to deal with, and this has not always been the case at other UHAUL locations. I would say this was actually an exception, in my experience. I witnessed Ray coaching one employee who appeared to be new, and I was really impressed with his patience and professionalism, as well as the professionalism of all the other staff members I came into contact with. I saw a front-desk employee walk from around the counter after ringing up a customer and carry the customers heavy packaging materials out to their car and help them load up. You just dont see that kind of thing very much these days. The facility and equipment were all very clean and well maintained. Great team and a great store!

Was able to pick up a U-Haul a day early, and the pick-up process was fairly straight forward. Also, they offer a good selection of moving items at a reasonable price. However, the staff were very unprofessional. Swearing over the walkie talkies in front of customers, not being transparent in the way they explained U-Hauls policies... felt uncomfortable there. Next time Id go somewhere else.

This was the best uhaul experiences (and more broadly service) I’ve ever had, the folks were crazy nice and super helpful.

I went to buy some boxes, staff was very friendly and helpful but they shirts looked like hell. What an embarrassment for the company and manger to have them looking like that. I’ve seen nicer shirts at the Goodwill. Appearance is a huge reflection of a company & management. 👎👎👎

Superior customer service by Ray and both associates I worked with. Ray was able to work out extending my time by a few hours with no hassles, while I was under a serious pinch and already stressed out to the max. I cant imagine how anybody would have a documented bad experience, or quite frankly anything less than perfect.

Truck was very clean, they staff was able to help us upgrade to a larger size and made sure to review all fees/costs and what coverages were applied by purchasing insurance. Then to top it off after a long day of moving I forgot my wallet in the truck, Jose was awesome and Checked the truck for me and found it! He was great and made sure to hold it for me at the front, great service and will definitely recommend to my friends!

Terrible service. Advertised 24 hour drop off, then told me at check in my truck would be due at 4pm. Left with the rented truck, then it stalled in the middle of the road. Called the location number for help and they didn’t answer. Tried to reach them through their website (“chat with your location”) and they did not answer. Finally got the truck to start, returned to the location to swap it out where I was not given an apology, or any sense of urgency to make it right. From the looks of it, most of the trucks on the lot look pretty worn down. I definitely would not recommend this place at all.

Had used this facility before with minimal incidents. Tried to phone in a reservation and spoke with a representative that did not seem to be very competent and kept asking me repeatedly what I was trying to reserve. I kept repeating a 6 by 12 flat bed with ramp. Pretty simple.... finally after 4 times of being asked I asked to speak with another agent. He then said that I could go somewhere else and hung up. Very unprofessional staff and am alerting usual Corp offices regarding this exchange.

Horrible service!I rented a 10 ft truck with auto transport.No one greeted us when we entered. The guy whose name I believe is Kuwon was rude and seemed bothered during our entire interaction. He acted as if he didn’t want to be there. He rang me up incorrectly then went back to correct it. When I asked to view an itemized list before making my payment (since he gave me an incorrect amount the first time) he was short with me and said something along these lines: “it’s on your screen”. Which in fact was not! I proceeded to read the message on the screen and mid sentence he grabbed his computer and forcibly turned it to show me the screen. I asked... “are you good?” And his response was, with an attitude, “I’m just showing you what you wanted to see!”To add on to this, they didn’t tighten the latch of the auto transport, which my brother noticed and had to do himself. This could have caused a great deal of damage had he not realized this or wasn’t familiar with U-Hauls and trailers.

I went into this location, my card was declined while trying to purchase a rental, so I went home and sorted my situation out with the bank. I called this U-Haul location to confirm that everything was okay. My payment had gone through; the gentleman on the phone had informed me that I would need my drivers license. I took that as a confirmation because he didnt tell me no the payment still was declined. I went back to the location and was told my card was denied. Then I asked how is that if I called to confirm, I was then verbally attacked and threatened by the owner Kuwan. I was shocked by what had just happened with a witness that couldnt even fathom what had just occurred too.

The people were very rude. Not concerned about our trip. They literally rented out our reservation. Then they said they wouldnt honor military discount only on boxes after they offered discount over phone. The entire time I tried to come up with solutions they gave me policies to shut me down in the end the short Hispanic guy that was kicked back in his chair said you should go to penske. In my opinion everyone should ship this haul and take the managers advice. Go to Penske

Its one of the best places to fill propane tanks. Would be 5 stars except Its difficult to exit the parking lot due to its location at the intersection of Perrin Bitle and Austin highway

Employees don’t communicate with one another; rude, sub-par service.Rented a 9 foot trailer over 3 days to tow some motorcycles to Oklahoma and back. Decent service at pickup—I told the older gentleman at pickup I thought I’d likely be a couple hours late on my return date deadline of 3pm given the distance I’d be driving (I ultimately left Tulsa at 6am and got to San Antonio at 4-5). He told me not to worry and that for a multi-day rental, I would NOT be charged a late return fee for just a couple hours.But thats exactly what happened on return. I ended up having to back the trailer in and unhook it myself while at least one attendant outside saw me and just stood there watching. Then when I went inside, a particularly rude employee (not certain but I think his name was Derek) who identified himself as the manager (though I doubt it given his complete tactlessness bordering on incivility) refused to honor the aforementioned assurance and charged me ~$35 for being two hours late. When I expressed my displeasure and noted what his colleague had previously told me, he said “well there’s no one fitting that description here today.” Frankly a totally unacceptable attitude.I understand that a late return should generally be charged extra—and if it were two hours late on a half-day or one hour rental, it would be completely understandable. But not for a 3-day rental, particularly when I was previously assured I didn’t need to race the clock to get it home for my turn-in.This would be a 1-star review for such shoddy service. However, I was able to get reimbursed the late fee after calling U-haul’s corporate line. Although I will no-doubt find myself in need of a U-haul trailer again someday, I definitely won’t be going back to this location, and Id advise a friend to avoid it, too.Bottom line: rent from another location since they couldn’t possibly be less agreeable than this one on Austin Hwy—and avoid that Derek fellow at all costs if you can.

I don’t how how this place doesn’t have at least 4 stars. The general manager is thorough, polite, and great attitude and personality. I was dreading having to rent a u haul, but it honestly a good value. My partner and I were so amazed with how simplified our move was just by getting a moving truck, we were oozing with happiness returning the truck. And thank you to the general manager for telling us the story about u haul, really blew our mind.If you’re looking into renting anything from u haul, I suggest checking out this location. They know exactly what they’re selling and I promise you won’t have any questions once you’re signing for your rental. They definitely have our business.

We had this location fix what another location had messed up with our trailer wiring harness. This location apologized for the other locations horrid job and made it right. The wiring harness is now installed correctly and presentable.The staff were very customer oriented and they had pleasant personalities. The location was clean and organized. I would recommend this location to anyone. **If you end up having to wait for an install head on over to Waynes wings and get some awesome chicken to pass the time.

My personal experience was initially okay, but as I was leaving, I witnessed a interaction that soured my impression of the staff here. Last Thursday as I was leaving I witnessed an employee yelling and cursing at a customer for returning a truck to the wrong location. Im not one that says a customer is always right, however to yell and degrade a customer goes so far beyond acceptable behavior for any company representative.

Young black kid with the beard was very rude. It was my first time coming there and using moblie app. Asked for help and he was very dry and didnt seem to want to help me. Told me I had to find my van and I told him I wasnt sure if I was suppose to go behind the building. I get to the truck with no keys nor help. As I go back to the front desk he decided to come and help me. I dont if he were having a bad day but I didnt appreciate the rudeness. It will be my first and last time going to this location Ill take my business Fm78.

I didnt want to rent from U-Haul initially because I thought their prices would be outrageously high. But somehow I got a great deal online through their website! I showed up and was also surprised by how friendly the general manager and his staff are. Their computer system was a little slow, but they were so fun and positive to be around.After leaving the property and trying to load a double bed into the trailer, we realized it was too small to accommodate. I called the store and they upgraded my trailer to the next size for free, and even helped my husband and me transfer the furniture between trailers. WOW. Really wonderful people, convenient location! Ill be back!

Worse customer service ever. I wanted to return a one way truck and the Costumer service representative said that he had no space for it. ( this is what they say when they dont want to work )he was not able to receive the truck because he didnt know where he was going to park it. Then he said that the system didnt allow him to received the truck, then he was trying to charge me an additional $49.00 because I went over 1 hr from the drop off time but he didnt know I was actually returning the truck early according to the contract. I asked why was he charging me an additional $49 ? He didnt like my question then tried to fight me and another staff member had to get involved and calm him down while other customers were watching his behavior. Unbelievable the way business is conducted at this location. Never again will I do business with them and wont allow friends and family to ever rent from them. Never again.

Extremely poor customer service. Called U-Haul to schedule wiring to pull a vehicle, gave me an appointment for 2:30 and told me the technician would call me to confirm. At noon no one had called me, so I called back and was told they were busy and he hadn’t had time to call. At 2:20 still hadn’t received a call, so I again called to confirm my reservation. The person I talked to told me they were ready for me and to drive over. When I arrived, the manager was exceptionally rude, told me they had no appointments today and the technician I was schedule with was off today. When I asked how this happened, he did not even bother looking up and said “we were busy.” I’d never consider going back.

I needed a spot to store an rv. Not usually the place you would think to store an RV, but It was super affordable AND the staff was friendly. I forget his name, but the guy with the beard was genuinely a nice guy.

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW FOR UHAUL BUT FOR MIGHTY MEN MOVERS IN SAN ANTOMIO.I left a review for this moving helper named Freddie. The review I had left for Freddie had stated that he could not taking the unused moving blankets back to uhaul, and instead took my dining room chairs. I had to drive the blankets back to uhaul on the same day. I drove to California that evening. Also to add, Freddie had called me personally about the review I left for him to tell ME, that wasnt appreciated and that I was wrong to leave a bad review of him. I have absolutely a million nasty words to express myself here. To also top this entire situation off, of the 2 UBoxes I ordered. I discovered that I had so much room left in my first UBOX that I could have actually taken and/or fit in my chairs. I noticed Freddie had continually stated that I could not fit all my things in the boxes. While I had accepted that I would need to leave items out, I now feel that Freddie took advantage of me as a Moving Help customer, in order to come up on any of the items I was forced to leave behind.

I came here to just rent a trailer but before if did I wanted to make sure my trailer wiring harness would work. It turns out it didnt but Greg tried fixing it right there. Unfortunately the damage was more severe and it needed the manager Todd to repair it. All throughout Colton and Garret were extremely helpful. By far the best U-Haul Ive ever been to.

Very disappointed in this place. Went here with my mother so she could get a van or truck. She went in there and set up everything. And then called and her over the phone that she just needed a active card. And a cash deposit of $100. But when we got there she actually needed a major credit card and no cash. A debit card would not work. But she could rent a big truck that cost more with a cash deposit. So basically she was lied to. So I went inside to find out what was going on. When I walked inside I came to see one guy just relaxing at the desk legs up on the counter. Very unprofessional. Another gentleman was just standing around with his uniform and hat out of place looking very unprofessional. I pronounced to ask who the manager was. And received a little hostility back when I asked. Then I pronounce to ask each and every one of their names. Once again I received a lot more hostility. They asked why I was asking their names and I stated that they could answer a simple question that the company would say they could answer. And I asked the gentleman that my mother had talked to you if he was a guy that my mom had talked to you. And then did not seem to want to answer my question correctly. But his final answer came to that he did not know. Even though him and my mother talked face to face. They start laughing as I left. This place seems to be a joke to them. So I definitely will not take my business here again and I would not recommend that you go here. If people cannot take my business seriously then what is the point of going there.

Absolute pleasure to work with military friendly this is a family oriented business. Fast service yet still felt all my questions and concerns were met on a personal level.

The service was fast and easy. I didnt run into any real issues except with the tow hitch for my car. The blinkers were not working but turned out to be a blown fuse nothing major. I would use them again.

The general manager of this location thought that I had left the building while looking at how to install a hitch on my car. Due to my presence being absent from his awareness, he called out to one of the other associates calling it a piece of c***. Extremely disrespectful, with poor practice of running a business. I would expect this maybe of a lesser in the company, but THE general manger of the store? Entirely unacceptable!!! Do not go to this location!

The employee was rude and horribly sexist when I was trying to check out the truck I reserved. He refused to answer questions and acted like I was interrupting his day by questioning a deposit I was never told about. He couldnt even tell me how long it would be until I received the deposit back. When I returned it, the same rude employee was there assisting a male. Funny enough, he was friendly and explained the entire process thoroughly to him.

After several 100 dollars worth of add ons their traler s light is out and the G.M. is too busy to help figure it out or upgrade for free. I do NOT recommend Uhaul they charged me $89 when it was supposed to be $69. They add lots of bs fees into your ending bill. I kept track of the mileage I used & they added like10 miles to jack up the price and thr truck I reserved days before my move it wasnt there when I went to pick it up so we had to make two trips which used more gas and more miles, Ill be going with Budget Truck Rental for my next move.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would- they were that bad! First didnt want to perform walk around. Then when they did their turn lights on the trailer werent working (probably why they didnt want to do the walk around)! I just used a uhaul trailer at a different location last week so I know that the light connections on my truck are working! Then they left to go back in side to get something to fix the trailer and disappeared for 30 min, then when I went to go look for them they were helping another customer, said that I could take it or leave it, but that they werent liable for it. Then when I called the complained hotline they gave all my information to the guy that had given such terrible service so he called me back and yelled at me for complaining about him! Stay Away!

I have been cursed at by the, manager the storage rooms I reserved werent what I reserved which caused me to have to locate abother facility to store my belongings which caused me to use more milage they refused to correct the issue I rented a 10x10 I was given two 5x10 reserved a third one and when returned to use the third one was told oh we dont have it. Im disgusted at how they treat thier customers. Its taken me over a week and I still cant reach anyone to resolve the matter my next call is going to be to the BBB I was told the managers name was Harold Utz but I read a previous post that says the managers name is Todd Utz I guess everyone is the Manger here Im waiting on a call from a president Mr Sam Molina yet to here from. Him. Worst uhaul experience ever in 18 years of using uhaul.

My husband is in the military and we have done more moves than I can count. We always move ourselves through Uhaul or Penske. While in San Antonio we got orders to Alaska with only 4 weeks to plan. Penske has recently become my preferred company to use but they dont provide trucks to Alaska. I was not looking forward to going back to Uhaul. Knowing that we would need to be as prepared as possible for such a huge endevour we went to this Uhaul office as soon as we got orders and started talking with Oscar Perez, the assistant manager. He assured us that he would get us a truck that would be mechanically sound and hardy enough for such a trip. We returned several times to get more info and dealt with Oscar each time. He was always very helpful. We finally made our reservation and he gave us extra days and extra miles as well as a FANTASTIC price, much lower that what the website quoted us. A few days before we were set to pick up the truck Oscar called and asked if we would like to pick up the truck two days early at no extra charge. Those 2 days saved us! It took us longer to load the truck than we had planned and hit terrible ice storms before leaving Texas and without those days we wouldnt have made it in time. The truck that we got made it 5000 mile trip with not a single problem. We had a great experience with this Uhaul location and Oscar, would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Had truck for daily rental. Because we were limited in help unloading it took longer than expected, about three days compared to the one i had originally reserved the truck for. each day that it was being paid for i received threatening phone calls about hope they wanted the truck back now. then today, i i awoke to a text stating that the truck was reported stolen and had an apb out on the license plates... even though it was being paid for. Its not like there isnt a credit card on file for the to charge the daily rate to. i was insulted. i was treated like a criminal.
