I saw my friends beautiful bamboo hardwood floors in her beautiful Palo Alto house. They bought them from San Carlos Floor Store for a great price. I checked out many other stores until that day and I could not find anything that I liked so much at such a reasonable price. The price was unbeatable and the color+ quality was great. The next day, I went to San Carlos Floor Store and put payment of $ 75.00 ( counts towards your materials later) right away so that Patrick could come and measure my house. Patrick is amazing, so much fun to work with, and gave me his opinion about not covering the closets; thats honesty! His measurement was accurate. I only had one box left after the installation and thats exactly what one wants.I got my first estimate from one of the sales associates and then Jennifer, the store manager, worked with me thoroughly. It was a pleasure working with Jennifer. She has great people skills and is a strong problem solver. Another branch store is only one mile away from my house; she facilitated my materials pick up from that store and I saved time and money. Jennifer went above and beyond during my project and I told her that her middle name should be customer delight. She is an expert in her store and shared her knowledge with me generously. She owns any challenge. You can hear the smile in her voice and it is contagious. I bet she brings customers back to the store after the first experience with her accountability.I made a huge mistake by not agreeing to the Floor Store own the full project and use their services for labor. I used an independent contractor.Jennifer heard my experience with the contractor and is supportive of me even though it does not bring a dime to her account. She is that strong customer advocate; it is all about customer care and delight.When I buy my materials from the store next time, I am making sure that they are also installing. I am not buying anything from any other brand after this experience. Thank you for being there, Jennifer.

After 18 months my beautiful new flooring has turned BLUE! The Floor Store sold me COREtec LVP flooring meant for a cave. Because in less than 18 months wherever the sun hit the floor it turned BLUE. After 6 months of going back and forth and getting the run around with my claim I was told “too bad we don’t cover UV damage”. Supposedly they havent heard of Implied Warranty of Merchantability. They even tried blaming the installer for some reason.Unbelievable! The Floor Store and COREtec have ruined my remodel!The Floor Store doesn’t stand behind the products they’re selling. I expected more from a National Flooring Alliance member. Bragging about Diamond Certification, thats a joke! Now Im being told do what you got to do, sue us. ZERO customer service!

We bought some flooring, unfortunately we had to return it because it was not what we needed. What really is a bummer though is that since we had to return the floor we bought, we had to pay a 25% restock fee and nobody wants to pay for return fee. Other than that, the store, the environment, and the employees are nice and do like to help you. Especially Nick. He really worked hard to try and help me when it came to exchanging materials and he was very thoughtful throughout the process.

We purchased engineered wood floors from this location, and were told we had to purchase from a few options if we wanted to move quickly (take what was in stock). Upon receiving the wood, it’s much thinner than we saw in the sample, some of the planks are warped, and they don’t click together making the install much more difficult and risky. When my husband called to complain, they won’t let us return the wood - only get a store credit. It was bad salesmanship to not disclose the poor quality, tell us it was one of our few options, and not allow us to return it upon uncovering the bad quality.

We were looking to replace the carpet in our living room with a wood floor. We did some shopping around and ended up going to the floor store in Richmond. We had already looked on Yelp and had read about Brian at the floor store. The reviews that we had read were absolutely right. Brian knows his business and is an excellent salesperson.He had recommended that we use Oscar as an installer. Oscar was very knowledgeable and efficient. He did a remarkable job.Overall the entire process was seamless and we are very happy with results.In the future when we need more flooring we will definitely return to the floor store in Richmond.

The subcontractors that the floor store used to sand down our flooring and apply the stain and finish were fantastic. They were gentlemen they were clean and neat and polite. Could not of asked for a better bunch of guys.

Rachelle was excellent in listening, returning calls, sorting out pros & cons of each possible approach to our 70 year old floor. We took weeks to research, compare with other stores, and reach a decision. She was great to work with.2. The install finished a day ahead: Isaac Reyes & crew were fantastic, collaborating with us to create solutions to funky issues with our older house. And the result is gorgeous - better than we hoped.3. Price was *very* good - the entire job came in under budget.4. Using Floor Store for both materials and installer was a BIG convenience. As we hit problems on our way to the finish line, and solving them was easier working with just one party -- who always answered the phone, or returned our call soon. I *never* had to repeat the information I had left with them. These folks focused & served us well.

Great store. BUT the highlight of the service here is KEITH! He is our all-time FAVOURITE sales person and indeed human being aside from how he performs his job. The Floor Store has its best asset in having Keith represent them. What an honor it has been to do business with the good-humored and knowledgeable assistance of Mr. Keith!! Thank YOU kindly Keith!! As a first time home buyer my wife and I went to The Floor Store, what a wonderful extensive collection to select from! Not knowing anything about flooring they made us feel comfortable with their extensive amount of knowledge. They patiently answered all our question never once being pushy. The installation process was painless. we would defiantly come back again !Thank you Floor Store you guys are the best!

No complaints about the Carpet and installation. Took 45 days from picking carpet to having a stair runner installed. Seems too long. Also, very little follow up from the store. I had to call every few days for updates and to make sure there was continued progress.

My family and I came in to buy some flooring and were not disappointed! The service was amazing and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. If we had a zero rating we would use. DO NOT buy your tile from this store. You will be beyond frustrated. We ordered tile. They placed wrong order. We had to reorder again; shipment delayed. Communication terrible. No customer service at all. My husband had to drive to their warehouse in Newark to finally get the tile. I can’t put into words the total disorganization in the San Carlos Store. We received no apology, no credit for their mistakes. Total and complete frustration for us and our contractor.

Dropped in real quick to look at carpet samples and the staff was by far some of the most knowledgeable out of all the places we’ve talked to. Great selection and excellent customer service. All the staff were great and we highly recommend Keith. We’ll be going back for all our flooring needs.

My 80 year-old mother walked in the store with an open wallet and came out with a signed contract for $18,000 worth of carpet and a $10,000 bid for tile for her 883 sq. foot apartment! Im not sure she was given a full explanation of her options, but when I called to express my concerns, their manager, Jennifer said they dont take advantage of people and there is nothing she could do to cancel this order (or any part of it). Im sure there are more affordable flooring solutions with sales staff that care about your feedback when you call. The Floor Store in San Carlos is not a place I would go again!

Hard workers installed carpet in three bedrooms and flight of stairs. Clean, quick work. Nails from carpet tack strip poke barefoot stairwalkers. Ouch! I pounded down the nails.

I called ahead and found their pricing to be very fair. I was only looking for carpet pads and found them easily with help. Floor Store is actually cheaper than Home Depot in this instance. In and out within 10 minutes.
