Got my car smogged and I was in an out in less than 20 minutes. The mechanic was so nice and had lots of information and was even able to replace my O2 sensor. They even gave me my stickers when I was done! I will definitely be coming back

I got my brake and lamp done here for my vehicle it was painless and affordable. The mechanic guy was just awesome! Will start referring my friends and Family here from now on.

Took my 2004 avalanche in and was 100% satisfied with the great customer service and also quality work by the technician/mechanic.The ladys at the front desk will talk you thought the process and make sure you know what is going to happen.Overall 5star service

I called this location at 9:56Am needing a B&L inspection. They asked what the weight of the vehicle was, they could only handle 14,000 or less. I called back shortly after and confirmed my vehicle was 14000. They said someone would call me back. I called back 3 times and each time I was told, Oh sorry, Ill have someone call you right away. Finally called back for the last time and was told, we can only handle 10,000 or less. Who told you we could do 14,000.I dont know anything about vehicles, but you would think people who work at or own a shop that works on vehicles would know what theyre talking about. Seems like they dont

Make sure with a third party you will pass any inspection 100%, if you get there and theres even an evident issue with your vehicle they wont say a word, theyll smile at you, make you sign like you passed and tell you didnt. No retest. I really felt scammed.

There isnt a reason I can think of where a business has someone who initiates conflict, who is abrupt, who is disrespectful, unprofessional, and extremely rude.I endured and respected. But now, that my car is fully registered and I dont need their services, I must confess, dealing with this place was demeaning.The first time I brought my car it sat for 3.5 hours while I saw the guy servicing other vehicles except mine that came after me. I was waiting across the street just sitting down because I drove there alone and didnt have a ride. After 3.5 hours of not seeing my car worked on, I went in and respectfully inquired. Then, a guy who to me seems to suffer from PTSD or something started yelling at me and told me I can go somewhere else; immediately. I am an extremely patient person; trust me. Their own policy and per their own words the whole thing takes 4 hours supposedly. So when I checked after 3.5 hours I thought I was doing the right thing, like why are you seeing other customers and making me purposely wait even though my car came first? He said that its weird Im watching my car lol. Yeah...sorry...next time I will not look at my own car...because my property parked on the street waiting to be serviced...and I should just...not look at my own car...lol; such logic.Thats not the worst of it. They dont really know too much about cars. I went there 3-4 times and each time it was something; and thats ok. But, Id rather just know everything the first time that way its fixed and done. First he says you need a new bulb not realizing 1 light is halogen and the other is Xenon. Then the next trip and $45 later, you need Xenon.Then $45 later he says the light doesnt adjust which is fine by the way. But dont charge me when you dont know how my car works.I paid approximately 200 dollars with them if not more; all went to waste (except for the brake inspection they did that good).Oh, he yelled at me twice btw. Once after he said he would recheck my car for free then apparently he completely forgot he solicited that service. I would never ever ask for anything to be free. He said it would be, and respectfully I reminded him nicely, he caused a scene. Just annoying and disrespectful.I hope more Brake and Light Inspectors come into San Diego so that people can deal with better customer service.I dont need someone to pamper me...just dont be rude, yell at me, and show aggression towards me verbal or otherwise. Its unprofessional and rude behavior.At the end, I took my car to a place in Clairemont and they checked it, adjusted the lights, and passed me within an hour. Giving them 5 stars and these people 1.The end.

So I bought this car and I had no idea what I got my self into. The car was salvaged and I didnt think that was a big deal. Well it was a bit of a process but Tommy at the smog shop made everything painless. It took only a day and I had everything I needed to get the car into my name and legal to drive. I highly recommend this place. If you want good advice and professional service go to this place!

So, I had to go here to get a brake and lamp inspection because the car I have needs to be inspected for its salvage title. In this inspection,they check the lights and brakes,just like it sounds. I didnt check the brakes,but I knew they were low. The lights, however,i checked every single one, even replaced them all and made sure they were in working order so I wouldnt fail that portion of the inspection. My girlfriend dropped me off at this place along with the car so before I left I again, we check all the lights and made sure they were working. I even let the workers know that they were all functioning. I get a call yesterday that my car is ready and that I failed the brake and lamp portion because of other issues with the brakes and all three of my brake lights werent working... today I pick up the car and all three of the brake lights come on. I ask the guy why I failed if they work and he said it doesnt matter anyway you failed on multiple things and maybe if that was the only reason you failed I would have looked in to it more his exact words.... I tell him it seems kind of odd that they work when I drop it off and then I come and pick it up and they work but not the time they looked at it and he says it must have been a fluke and I said maybe its possible you guys didnt do a great job looking at the lights? And he said its kind of hard to mess up looking at the lights. and like I said its not the only reason you failed so instead of apologizing or trying to understand why or where they went wrong he would just like to blame it on a fluke and charge me $120 for a piss poor inspection.The only reason they get a couple stars is because everyone else there is so nice.

I came here for a simple smog to get my tags. I had no idea that because my check engine light was on I wouldnt pass smog. I felt fortunate because Ed the tech told me beforehand and even went as far as figuring out why I had the check engine light on and said it was a vacuum leak. He repaired the leak within 15 minutes and I left that day with a passed smog and was able to get my tags. Highly recommend if you are seeking quality customer service.

My vehicle was salvaged due to an accident I did not cause. The DMV made me go through a brake and lamp inspection, as well as a smog check! This place was able to perform all the inspections within 1 hour. They are next to the Tag Shop and I was even able to get my license plates. Thank you so much!

I had to get a brake and lamp inspection plus a smog check. I was in and out and passed all inspections. They even took care of my DMV Registration.

Have to ask them the total cost. SO u U dont be surprised....

I’d like to throw a note for those who go there for a Smog Check, in case you’re not aware of it. Agreeing to receive the registration sticker the same day will eventually cost you extra $40 (not included in Smog Check and it’s a separate fee from what you might’ve already paid for your registration).Beside from this little pricy surprise, customer service is good and positive, Smog Check went relatively quickly.Recommend.

I was in a accident and my car somehow got salvaged. Found a place on the internet that performs salvage and inspections and does the DMV work, too! They were really nice and helpful. My license plate lamp was out and they replaced it free of charge so I could pass the brake and lamp inspection. Never saw a place like this. Once you are done with the inspections, you sit at the next desk and get your vehicle registration. I read the other reviews on this place and was a little taken back. Everyone was super clean and I felt like they wanted me to pass inspection, not fail me

Took my car in after car wash and wax. The service technician put grease and his paw prints all over paint. Front fenders, hood, front bumper, roof?, both doors, trunk lid and spoiler! If i asked him to put more grease on a waxed automobile he could NOT HAVE DONE BETTER. Very greasy dirty technician

Horrible service! I called them 15 minutes ago and immediately got placed on hold, waited 15 minutes then I got hung up on. Will never use this place to service any vehicle! If i could give no stars i would!

DISHONEST. THE OWNER IS A COMPLETE CROOK.TOOK MY CAR FOR BREAK AND LAMPS. MY CAR HAD A DENT NEAR THE TAIL LIGHT. OWNER KNEW THAT BECAUSE OF THAT DENT MY CAR WAS GOING TO FAIL THE INSPECTION. HE CHARGE ME AND STILL MADE ME WAIT 3 HRS. JUST TO TELL ME BECAUSE OF THE DENT IT DID NOT PASS. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHADY JUNK PLACE. There is better place 4 block down the road, awesome place and really honest.
