Friendly staff. This was my first visit there and got a roast beef sandwich on sourdough and a bakers dozen bagels to go. The sandwich was awesome and tomorrow Ill try a bagel. They had great variety of bagels!

Ordered cinnamon raisin and onion toasted bagels with cream cheese as well as turkey pesto panini and turkey california sandwich. Everything tastes AMAZING! Highly recommended. Friendly customer service.

A friend stopped in to buy bagels and cream cheese to bring over to our house . The price quoted on the sign was less than what he had to pay. When our friend questioned why it was more expensive the person behind the counter said they forgot to change the price. A good business owner should have honored the lesser price. The bagels were pretty good but had to search for the salmon in the smoked salmon spread.

Stopped here to try it out, had a salmon on a onion bagel and it was delicious. The staff was very nice. Nice outside seating to enjoy your meal.

Great variety but get there early as some flavors run out fast.

I dont know when the ownership changed but everything about the place has changed. I waited forever to get my order and the Rye bread was hard, the liverwurst, was the worst and hardly any of it. I was grossly disappointed as Sidnys used to be one of my favorite sandwich stops in RB. I never eat at Subway (next door), but given a choice, I would eat at Subway. Sad!

Went there with my sister and niece got the veggie burger and with French fries the fries 🍟 were great the veggie buger was goodness. They used old kind of burger need to update aldo need to get more vegan opps

This is now my Favorite Bagel place. I kick myself for not trying it sooner.I had the Jalapeño Cheddar and the Everything Bagel. Hands down better than the other 2 chains .

The best bagels in San Diego. I’ve search dozens of bagel shops for the best “everything” bagel and this place is by far the best out of the bunch. I’m only speaking to the bagel itself not a bagel sandwich. If you’re looking for the best bagel sandwich, then Panera is true best. This place is open early with coffee and bagels ready to go. There is plenty of parking. They have a small area for outdoor seating.

I grew up in NY and the bagels were my favorite. Especially the egg everything ones. Cant find anything like them anywhere. Until here! I have been dreaming of egg everything bagels for years, and this place made my dreams happen! Good and kind service to top it all off.

This place is always great. I used to come here with my kids, and they loved it. The staff are always friendly. Great bagels and coffee. The kids could watch the bagels being cooked in the steamer, and there would be trays of just-cooked bagels. The place smells amazing, like a bakery I used to visit with my parents. Great service, too. Plenty of indoor seating, and an outdoor patio, too.

We stopped in for a couple of sandwiches. They have indoor seating along with a small outdoor patio. The bagel was a little doughy, and the sandwich bread is very thick. But both were okay - nothing to get too excited about though.Staff was friendly. Very easy access off the 15 freeway.

Just really damn great. Really dont need to say more. Go there and get a bagel, or a half dozen.

My wife and I ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches, with a regular coffee and hot cocoa yesterday morning. I’m sorry to say we were not impressed. The bagels and the egg fillings were dry and the bland-tasting. While the coffee tasted watered down, the hot cocoa was ok (according to my wife). We decided not to return, and would look fo an Einstein’s next time.

Just WoW!! Good variety on menu with excellent quality. Staff are friendly. hazelnut coffee was very good. Ample parking and enough seats to enjoy it then & there.Jalapeno cheddar, everything on it, were the two I tried. Had to take for family. Kids gave two 👍👍.

A premade egg got microwaved for my sandwich, when theres a grill to my right. The only stars are for the friendly service and the bagel.

The bagels are okay, but dont go near their dessert! Their muffins are straight from Costco and their cake is older than the hills. I got a red velvet and it tasted like a freezer and was hard and rubbery.

Nice indoor seating, not very nice patio. Employees are friendly but can be difficult to understand if not used to a thick accent. Food was great tasting but slightly complicated to order.I had the gourmet cream cheese with chive on a salt bagel and had fast service despite the line.

Excellent Coffee, Friendly staff, and Amazing bagels and they dont skimp on the cream cheese (Which i like both side with cream cheese) and they do both sides with good amount.

My favorite bagel place in Socal! The bagels are fresh and flavorful and they have a wide variety to choose from. Been coming here for over 10 years and theyve been consistent every time!

Waited about 15 minutes to pick up an order only for them to tell me they did not have that type of bagel..respect peoples time and tell them that when they get there

Finally!!! Coming from NY I searched and searched for a real NY style bagel!!! New York Bagels & Cafe is so good if I close my eyes I feel like I am back in NY! Smoked Salmon was absolutely delicious. It was so fantastic that I am having them cater a birthday party!!! ☺️

Sorry to say they got it all wrong it was my first time there I ordered a turkey bagel sandwich with an everything bagel substituting cream cheese for the mayonnaise and I didnt get that I got a plain bagel with very very very little cream cheese all I can say is I was very disappointed they did rectify the situation by giving me my everything bagel without cream cheese mind you but you know it is what it is my first time there and I wasnt impressed first impressions are everything

Everyone was friendly and bagel was perfect. Tables needed some wiping...dried liquid marks and crumbs in ones I looked at. Outside of that, everything was great, as usual at NY B&C.

Busy little place, cute inside. My thoughts...a little pricey for a bagel toasted with butter. Honestly not a fan, maybe Im just not a new york style bagel person. If you are, then I suggest you try them. Maybe a breakfast bagel sandwich is the call, next time!

Took my daughter for her first real bagel. She loved it! The jalapeno cheddar bagel is nice and spicy. We took our food to go, but the seating area looked clean and pretty comfortable.

Great place to grab some bagels in the morning. My favorite is their everything bagels. I got there one time at around 630 in the morning, and their bagels were so fresh that steam was coming out when they were cut. So good!

Ok finally got here to try it when it was open. Had the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was awesome!! Seriously. I haven’t found anything like it in SD. The bacon, egg and cheese was basic as you would expect. But definitely on the better side. The winner for me was the tuna salad on a salt bagel. The tuna was PERFECT. And the salt bagel was like the everything, soft with a perfect outside and GREAT flavor. We will be back!

I had to work down in San Diego and on my way down I stopped for a quick bite. The freshly baked bagels smelt so amazing and tasted just as yummy! The guys working were very nice as well. Cute little place

Reheated microwaved eggs in micro twice. Crispy bacon was soft. Bagels dense and chewy after 2 minutes in bag. Who ever gave this place 3 stars or more has never had a decent bagel in their life.

Always prompt service when I come in. They dont mind if you need to hang out for a bit, or want a quick bite. Food is always good, staff is always friendly. Bagels are excellent! This is one of my favorite places to go for a morning bagel.

Small place with limited seating but they have the best bagels in town! Bagels are made fresh throughout the day as theyre needed so they are never stale. If youre ordering a dozen they may run out of your favorite flavor so you may want to call ahead. If youre willing to wait Ill be happy to make more. Staff is very friendly.

East Coast native was looking for a good NY bialy.....def yummy and close to back East... Tough to find in CA but satisfies the craving...

I dont understand how this place is rated so high. Service is fine... bagel is mediocre. Egg? I dont know how anyone thinks its incredible when they microwave the egg in front of you. Im from new york. If you ask for a bacon egg and cheese and get a microwave egg there, you wont be around for long. Apparently in San Diego its not only acceptable, its expected.

Great bagels and breakfast / lunch selections. Parking area (strip mall) is a little small for the lunch crowd, but fine for early breakfast, We can walk to this place from our home or if we are going somewhere early and they have never failed to deliver a delicious meal.

Bought a bakers dozen on a weekday morning to go by relying on attendant man to do the count. Once back on the road, the count was only twelve. Buyer beware. Food taste fresh though.

That open faced New York style lox bagel changed my life.

This is hands down the best bagel place in the city. The staff is an awesome group of regulars and they consistently make excellent bagels and bagel sandwiches. My favorite is the crispy bacon on garlic, which they typically remember is my favorite (they ask before I order it.)

I love this place. We go there all the time. theyre so nice and welcoming and at this point theyve remembered our order and names.

Friendly service and great bagels

The food was terrible. We ordered two items mom was a toasted Pumpernickel bagel with lox spread on it and it barely tasted like lox spread the bagel was very flavor list and in the places where I could taste some locks it almost seemed as though it may have been spoiled and there was also was no visible Lots in the cream cheese spread at all and the tiny amount of lox spread it was given to me was shameful and pathetic. The next thing we ordered was a crispy bacon sandwich my son said it was pretty bad. Giving this location a one-star rating is not representative to how terrible the food was they do not deserve the one-star rating

Wow, no one friendly when we were there. Bathroom out of service. Difficulty understanding lady behind the counter due to a heavy accent. The Pastrami on my panini had no particular taste to it and it seemed to be from pressed meat instead of sliced. The bagels were ok but we still prefer Eisenstein Bagels taste more.

Not worth the money, i guess the bagels were at least week old, friendly service cant counter that.

They charged me for extra meat on a sandwich which I did not order. Additionally, they were out of sourdough and a dressing for a sandwich during brunch hours. Sandwich was average at best and overpriced.

I was served promptly and I ordered the classic egg sandwich on an onion bagel. Unfortunately, the ‘egg’ was a dense disc-like thing that was chucked in the microwave, and the onion bagel was burnt.
