My visit was great! Doctor was very informative and the woman working the front desk was so helpful w/ my insurance and w/ selecting new glasses.

I purchased a pair of David Kind eyeglasses for my son at Specs Optometry in San Diego in August 2020. In November 2020, the sunglasses broke (see attached photo). I immediately reached out to Specs and sent them the photos. They told me they would speak to the owner/manager and get back to me. Days passed, and I nothing. After many subsequent calls, I was able to reach the store manager, John, who indicated he would be reaching out to the David Kind representative to see what they could do for me. He said it was clear from the photos that the frame was defective. He also stated that looking at the unique aspects of my sons prescription, he understood my sense of urgency in getting them fixed. He also directed me to a local repair shop ProMec Optical to get them repaired myself. To this day after multiple messages and attempts to reach John to get resolution I have yet to hear from Specs Optometry. Not a single word. My son cannot be without glasses so fortunately, ProMec fixed them for us. Cost was $40.00.David Kind advertises a 10-year warranty on their frames so there is absolutely no reason for Specs not to follow-up with us. Cost of the frames was around $400. I understand that some businesses are experiencing supply chain issues due to COVID. However, I would like to reiterate that I never heard back from anyone at Specs. Not even a follow-up to say we are working on it, nothing. Multiple messages and calls went unanswered. After this experience, I would not recommend Specs to anyone.

Amazing service as always, I was running late for my appointment and the very helpful receptionist was able to squeeze me in the same day. I got contacts for the first time and got a very helpful crash course in proper application. The best optometrist office I’ve ever been to!

The team at specs provided amazing customer service. They found me three great pairs of eyeglasses that are very unique. Marissa was extremely helpful answering all my questions.

Specs has a great selection of high end independent eye wear. Ive always gone to their shop on India street and I love the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and will help you pick out a great fame for your face. Shout out to Jordan who helped me get a great pair of Ditas. I get compliments on my frames every day, plus theyre comfortable!

I just recently started needed glasses, and somebody suggested this shop near where I live. I was super happy with the service I received. Michelle answered all my questions and walked me through the whole exam process. I got a great pair of glasses that fit me perfectly and the price was right. I will definitely go back there when its time for a new pair.

High end glasses store. They have very high quality American, Italian, and Japanese sunglasses that you wont find at sunglasses hut or lense crafters. My eyes were opened to the quality sunglasses market. I was impressed with the crafted titanium frames and a Japanese brand that fit my wifes narrow nose very well!
