I stepped on my glasses and basically ruined them. When I came in to Sports Arena Target, as frazzled as can be, Rod was SO AMAZING - he worked a miracle with my frames and they are as good as new. I fully expected that I would need to buy another expensive pair. He was funny and sympathetic and just incredible. My day was going so badly and he just turned it around. MANY, MANY THANKS

I stopped by last week to check out their glasses and was able to see the doctor for an exam the same day! My contacts were delivered quickly and I picked up my glasses yesterday-I love them. Great service from start to finish from everyone that helped me

I have been a patient at Target Optical for the last 3 years and have received exceptional service. The doctor is extremely courteous, professional and respectful and the staff is always helpful and polite. During the height of the CoVid crisis, I ran out of contact lenses, was out of the immediate area, and had not been in for an eye exam in over a year. If not for Diana’s extraordinary efforts, I would have been out of contact lenses for months and left only with glasses that are too old and scratched to wear. I’ve already made an appointment for an eye exam at Target Optical when I return to San Diego and purchased beautiful Versace frames for my new glasses. I can’t thank Diana enough for helping me get through until my return!!!

Wanted to check out new Ray-Bans to replace my reading glasses. I was not allowed to enter the without an appointment. I didn’t know I had to make an appointment to enter the store. So, I asked from the doorway and while the technician behind the counter. If I Wanted to enter just to browse lens, browse frames, make an appointment for exam or lost my prescription I still need to sent an appointment. I Was told yes. I bought from here about 5yrs ago at a cost of about $450.00 lens, frame and exam. The technician was the only one there helping another person, nothing against the technicians. The store policies is something I disagree with.

I came to have my eye look at because it feels like something is in it. The reception person tells me I need a appointment. So I think we are making a appointment. The phone rings. Now I have to wait for her help person on phone. Phone calls have priority over walk in. Do not come here without a appointment. Waste of time.

I have tried to shake the horrible encounter I experience on July 24th at the Target Optical Sports Arena. When searching online for AX pair of glasses that I plan to purchase in the store, it was a barricade from entering into the optical do to the COVID and taking the precaution of everyones safety. I understand this is a top priority right now.The representative ugly and curt personality in not allowing me to enter the optical telling me the frames were not in stock. Also, mention “the manager did not want anyone in the store if youre not buying” To make a long story short the clerk did not have a mask on neither did the customer she was assisting when I approach the front. By the way this was Sunday afternoonThank you for your service.

Overall a poor experience. I had my contact lens exam at this Target Optical location last year. Last night, one of my contacts fell out of my eye onto the floor. For contact lense wearers, you know how much of an issue this is, especially when it’s your last pair of lenses.I called the store and told them that I’d order my lenses through them directly if they’d give me a trial pair of lenses to use in the meantime. She said sure, they could do that for me.I asked the girl if Target Optical did price match. The lowest price I found online was $30 per box- this is roughly how much I usually pay. She told me the lowest they could do is $55/box. Grossly overpriced. Although I am somewhat desperate, I’m not willing to pay almost double. So no, this location clearly does NOT offer a price match.I then ask the girl if theyd be willing to part with a trial pair of lenses even if I don’t purchase- she apathetically said “no, that’s determined by the doctor”.I remember not liking the almost 80 year old doctor who hardly speaks English the first time I went in.Overall poor customer service experience. Wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone.

Ordered my sunglasses 2 weeks ago today. I was told theyd be ready in a week. Called today to inquire on the status and was told that the glasses were on backorder and would be ready sometime this week... not holding my breath...UPDATE: finally got my glasses. The lenses were not exactly what I was expecting so I contacted the office and they were so helpful. They ordered new lenses for me with no problems.UPDATE #2: Another issue with this place. Ugh. The lenses that had to be reordered were ordered incorrectly and I got the same exact brown lenses, not black and I had wanted. Still waiting for the glasses I ordered on 2/26/18. Today is 4/4/18. It should never take this long to get a pair of glasses.

Alejandro and Mariel C. provided me with excellent customer service today, 12/27/2018.I initially called to inquire about a quote over the phone. Alejandro took the time to enter my insurance information and review several options with me to get a rough idea as requested.Upon arrival, Mariel greeted my daughter and I, patiently waited while we chose frames, promptly assisted us and reviewed options both with/without insruance. There was a slight issue due to another dishonest major optical retailer Id visited earlier today processing an authorization for frames I never purchased. Mariel suggested I call my insurance to verify and patiently waited while I had to spend 20 minutes resolving the unecessary issue. We were out within 1 hour, at a fraction of the cost of 3 other optical stores Id received quotes from, I was able to receive 5% off by using my Target card and will wait approximately 2 weeks to receive the glasses. If all goes well with the order fulfillment, I this will be the go-to place for frames/ lenses moving forward.

Came here because they are open for appointments on Sundays. Tried to call several times for an appointment to confirm they take my vision insurance but no one picks up the phone. I finally made an appointment online and when I showed up they had a hard time confirming which insurance I had, exactly the thing I was trying to avoid by calling ahead. Eye doctor was rude and rushed through the exam. They ordered my contacts and a week later I received the wrong ones in the mail. This place is also by no means any cheaper than anywhere else just because it’s at Target. If anything I thought they were expensive compared to other eye places I’ve been to.

Very nice renovation this new Target is a very nice one. You can get almost anything at Target is how I look at it. I am not a fan of the solicitors outside that they allow even though the causes are always good. I always tell them I already donated.Starbucks inside with no tip jar makes it hard to tip the nice baristas.I shop at Target because they sponsor Shaun White. :)

Went shopping there yesterday and there was someone from the TEA Party political group who set up a table right outside the front door to get signatures and peoples info. Partisan politics aside, It made me uncomfortable when he started making racial remarks to African American customers that walked by.....Ill shop somewhere else for now, Im looking for milk and paper towels, all set with the racial slurs.
