Ive been a customer of store since 2012 with my family. Fanny has always been thoughtful, very welcoming to all the customers from observation throughout the years. We would always come by to get new sunglasses almost every end of the year. Recently, I had an eye inflammation and I decided to come hete. Nicole helped me out and was very accomodating. I met with Dr. Yurn who did some tests and gave me the eydrops that I needed to alleviate the symptoms. Thank you to the staff here!

Mimi Wu is the best optometrist I have ever encountered. She is very professional, polite and know what & how to do to provide the excellent service. She has always helped me to find the best selection for eye care and face shape. Once you put on a new glasses, loose or tight, she could immediately see which parts of the frame need to be adjusted to fit your head, and she could accurately adjust it to the best level of comfort at one time. Been coming to Dr. Yuan and his team for many many years. Dr. Yuan is soft spoken and patient with the exams. He is very knowledgeable and keep you informed with the details and options. Fanny, the office manager runs the front office with her team. They are always trying to work with your insurance. She is always very sweet, nice and efficient. The office has nice selections in frames that can fit with different fashion taste and/or budget.

Very satisfied with the service. Mimi helped me to book the appointments for my two little kids, and hosted us with super kindness. Kids were happy during the whole exam, no fear. With Mimi’s help, both kids go their favorite color on glasses. It ended up that my parents who companied us there bought 2 frames for themselves as well, happily. This place carries a fantastic assortment of eyeglass frames. They are also the only place in San Diego Ive found that has a solid selection of alternate fit glasses. The staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy. Fanny (who I believe is the office manager) has an extremely good eye for picking out flattering glasses, so if you have a hard-to-fit face shape, I suggest going to see her. She really knows the inventory.Ive had positive experiences with both eye doctors at Plaza Optometry. Both are knowledgeable and patient. The younger one is extremely muscular.If you are having trouble finding glasses you like, I highly recommend going here! They get new inventory in frequently.

I came in a few months ago because my prescription needed to be changed. As soon as I came in Fanny helped me. After she prepped me to see the doctor I was a bee to choose my frames. I told fanny that I was a college student on a budget, but I wanted frames that were cute and fashionable. She gave me plenty of options that were around my price range. I was going for a classic look but she advised me to go out of my comfort zone and get something a little more edgy. She reminded me that I was still young and that I should pick something fun instead of something boring. I ended up getting the octagon Chloe frames. I am so involve with them. I get so many compliments. I am so glad that Fanny helped me w/ choosing that right frame.

This place is super convenient, no appointment needed and they were able to take me in on a busy day. I did the contact lens exam there and they were able to give me both glasses and contact lens prescription which worked out perfect. Mimi helped me with my eyeglasses selection and she is super patient and I must mention, extremely professional and knowledgeable. She answered all the questions I had (lots of them) in very detailed manner. I have never seen anyone so passionate and professional. Thank you Mimi. Will definitely one back many times later.

Been wanting to right this review for a long time. I used to always go to Plaza Optometry for glasses adjustments and get nosepad changed for a very cheap there. Mimi was the person that always helped me, she’s got a magic hand when it comes to adjusting my eyeglasses. I’ve tried a few other place but they can never get it right. She is very careful and knows exactly what to do sometime with just one try. She the carefully cleans my glasses and they would look brand new. Just thought to show some appreciate and thank you Mimi for all your help.

Just ordered my new eye glasses at plaza optometry. Mimi is true professional and great. She is always thorough and very patient. I never feel rushed, or pushed into products I don’t need. They have super modern and up to date frames to choose from, and they accept my work vision plan insurance. Since my insurance gives me a portion of my frames and pays for the exam, there’s no excuse not to go and get a new pair of glasses every two years. I would not go anywhere else!

Dr. Steven Yuen has been one of the kindest doctors I have been to and I was so very glad to have chosen this place because they are sincere in the work. Travelers! help during help!I am travelling and only in San Diego a week plus 1000 miles from home (and optometrist).My glasses broke and Mimi was wonderful and did the impossible finding a a another handle(arm) that could fit my spring socket glasses. on the spot. I would have been stuck without reading typed print. I have to say i used to attend the location up in San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles. And since the opened a branch down here in san diego i was totally stoked. its always clean and professional, and the first associate to invite me in was mimi. I had explained to her about my previous information from the location up in LA. And she was able to transfer all my medical info and allocate me to the necessary medical check ups i needed. Amongst other optometry locations i have been to the past were it seems like they want to sale sale sale and make a quick buck from a patient. Mimi went out of her way and explained in thorough detail on the devices and protocol the facility takes in order to make sure my health and vision are with out any issues. On another note, they have a vast selection of frames from High end to the low end spectrum which is awesome. i was honestly overwhelemd with so much selection, that mimi was able to introduce me to the styles and fit that would match my facial structure. made my life sooooooo easy!!!! i did have an unfortunate issue with a particular manufacturer of a pair of frames i had. And mimi was able to assist and handle the issue in a quick and easy manor. If you ever go here to get your eyes checked or simply check out there selection/or have any questions i HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU ASK FOR MIMI she is soooo inviting and awesome attitude and genuinely has the patient/ customer best interest at heart. i come year after year and i always ask for her, and always has an awesome smile on her. Friendly Staff and helping Dr. but way over priced frame, we selected a frame and did not realized until paying that it was $490, after getting it and went home the same day to do a search online, this frame is selling online for only $220, the most it sells for on google is $270, the funny thing is that MSRP price is only $440 and they marked up $50 on top of the MSRP, after calling them and asked, they claim all store online that are selling for $220 is fake.Please do a search of Giorgio Armani AR7019K and tell me if you can find 1 store selling for $490.I hate liars and it seems exactly as how they are.

Ask my wife and kid to do extra eye exams without specifying that insurance wont cover it, so charge $30 extra each person! They dont even understand what the extra exam would provide.
