10-10-21:Stopped by for lunch after a quick run to the ferry building. I was so glad to see fort Point open again.Grabbed a #2 hot dog and the yuzu kolsch. Great dog. Love the soft and crunchy bun. The yuzu kolsch was great π on a hot day. Not too high in abv. Definitely will be back for more great food and πΊ.
Desperately tasty red ale! Easy spot to meet up and grab a beer after ferry-scoter commute. Food options limited and not my wheelhouse, but good ale wins
Convenient beer stop with fast service and a good selection of Fort Point standards and seasonal specials. They also have a menu of sausages and bar snacks. The seating is limited and it can get crowded. Very conveniently located on the outside of the Ferry Building, on the north side facing the Embarcadero. Accessible from Embarcadero BART Station and the F Market MUNI line.
Love Fort Point and this location at the Ferry Building is super convenient if youβre a commuter like I am. Sneak in here for 15 minutes before your ferry heads off to grab a tasty pint of their delicious brew. They have some other snacking options as well on the menu like Pretzels and Hotdogs (I think), but the main attraction is definitely the beers.Highly recommended.
Its a nice location w/ a friendly staff. Im just not a big fan of Ft. Point beer I guess. The 3 I tried were all fine and drinkable, but thats about it for me.
This is a fantastic little brewpub outside but underneath the overhang of the Ferry Building (so donβt let the weather dictate your visit too much). The craft quality is top notch. I would say the kolsch meets the quality standards of the age old recipes but has a nice but light west coast style kick. However, The Villager IPA is a true craft signature of this breweryβs capabilities. Itβs a perfect balance of refreshing hops with a creamy backbone of velvet like malt. This IPA maintains its complexity but doesnβt slap you in the face with hops. I look forward to making more stops here and trying the other brews. My only recommendation (I admit my beer snobbery is kicking in here) is possibly updating the glassware. The smaller height of the glasses are a bit misleading because it appears like you are paying for a low volume pint. However, itβs actually a wider base glass that fills up 17 oz of beer (an oz more than your average American pint at a bar!). Maybe a Belgian style glass would fit more. Overall, love this place, its people and the product!
I dont like sausages/hot dogs much. but the wild boar here was awesome. the other one i had was pretty good too. so 4 stars.
Underrated happy hour spot. The areaβs happy hours tend to be crowded and super noisy. This outdoor joint takes care of the noise, and usually isnβt too packed, either. Thereβs window service for both food and beverage, so itβs an efficient way to treat yoself before jumping on a ferry, too.
Their beers are absolutely delicious and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. Being trained in beer fermentation, Ive learned one essential thing. Beer in a can is better than beer in a bottle. No, I dont live in San Francisco, but Ive been fortunate enough to have Fort Point Brewing Co. beer sold by the six pack at my local grocery outlet for what is essentially a dollar a can.$6 for a six pack?! Damn!!My mind coursed with doubt. Is beer this cheap going to be any good? Im a poor college student with little money. Is this beer worth trying?Absolutely.Wheat beer. Hopped. Tastes fresh? Yes. The cans preserve the freshness of beer better than bottles. From the first sip, I felt like I tasting brew fresh beer. Ive gone back for 4v more six packs.π» kanpai!
Great beer. Good hot dogs. Nice place to hang out when the weather is nice, but not completely outdoors.
Nice local brews. Google directions take you inside the Ferry Market building. Location is actually outside facing Embarcadero. For some reason Google does not allow me to suggest an edit. :-(
Fort Points Kiosk is a must stop if youre visiting the Ferry Building or just even near by. Find all their core beers on tap, with seasonal selections, along with bottles and growlers available to go. Oh, great hot dogs and pretzels too!
Great place to drop in and have a beer in the shade. The beer can wall by the seating area is a nice touch.
This is more a tap Hut than a Tap Room. If youre walking past it you will think that it is a coffee shop. The reality is it is vastly better than a coffee shop. This is a nice little Tap Room wedged into the ferry building. They have a nice selection of Fort Point beers available. Theres a nice little seating area outside where you can drink your pints and watch the folks walk by the Embarcadero.Their beers are a mix of very good examples of the style and some very nice and distinctive beers. The Mosaic Park is an excellent Session IPA that would be great on any hot or warm day. The Animal tropical IPA is a bit more along the lines of the kinds of ipas that hopheads like. It has detectable malt notes but thats strong hot character the hotheads love.It was a great place to stop and get a couple pints while walking along the Embarcadero. The service was good and the employees were friendly and knowledgeable not just a few beers but of other breweries in the area. This was a very pleasant surprise to find while walking along the Embarcadero. A must stop for beer nerds walking through this part of town.
Beer is great but service is bad very bad.Ruined the evening
Great beer... decent price.
Love the kiosk here. Really affordable growlers.
Im pretty sure this is not a location. I walked around for about 30 minutes in the ferry building searching for this and was unsuccessful.
Fast service. Ok beer.
$7 dollars for a super basic π seems excessive
Good beer. Gets crowded
Great beer, easy to grab a quick pint.
Walked around ferry building for 15 mins only to find it is sold in a bar. This is not actually a fort point location.
Great dogs and beers
Nice beer
