Super friendly; quick service...and this coming from a faithful Nissan customer, Im talking YEARS! This is my 3rd car (each one bought new) from Nissan...namely Herb Gordan Nissan in Maryland, the BEST Nissan dealership EVER (just sayin π)! Think Herb Gordon is now out of business, maybe the (2) brothers who owned/managed it chose to retire, and if so, good for them!Will I bring my car back to this Cali dealership for service? Heck yeah! Nissan dealerships are the BOMB. They are incredibly well-versed in CUSTOMER SERVICE, and mechanical knowledge.
10/10 for service, service management, sales, and general management! Feeling trapped in my car and previous agreement, I wanted to look into options to get into something that was more suitable for me and without any hesitation, the coast Nissan team knew exactly what I needed. The experience was perfectly tailored to me and what I needed. Thereβs no other Nissan dealership like thisβ¦Iβve been two others on the Central Coast, and Coast Nissan is 10x the dealer that the other branches are. My expectations were fully surpassed. I couldnβt have had a better experience.
The only problem. My car was done and sitting up front for over 45 minutes. I finally had to go to the desk and ask if it was ready. I was told yes. I had just completed an 8 hour shift at Tractor Supply. I was very tired and falling asleep in the waiting room. It would have been nice if they had let me know right away so I could leave sooner. As it was my drive back to Morro Bay was difficult due to the fact I was extremely exhausted.
Somebody was supposed to pick me up and when I called was assured they were on there way. I waited and hour and nobody came. I had to find a neighbor to get my car. Wasted a lot of time.
The employees were all friendly and straightforward during from the greeting we received to the end of our transaction.I appreciated that they didnt bully us to wear masks like so many other SLO businesses.We are still waiting for the garage door switch to be installed and the $100. gift card to the parts department. But I am sure that will be taken care of soon.
The Ralph and Greg in the Service dept. are always friendly and helpful. They get my cars in and out for me in a timely manner and love that they will wash the car to if needed.

We brought my nephews truck in to be worked on, and Coast Nissan could not fix it. Instead they tried to sell us a new truck! We had to take the truck to a local mechanic and then back to Coast Nissan to have them flash the engine, but still couldnt get the truck working. After picking the truck up the final time the mechanics left the dash out and there was missing parts from when they worked on it. Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable in fixing their own product.. I would highly recommend staying away from this Nissan dealer!

Greg was awesome given a difficult service situation and service manager was able to come down on the price of the fix. Im more upset about the warranty not covering the problem with the vehicle as an external cause, um...charging your car is an external action, but should still be covered.Edit:The dealership itself did great, its unfortunate that they dont seem to have support from Nissan Corp or their warranty company. Greg again did an amazing job communicating effectively and timely. A manager was supposed to call me to discuss possibly buying my vehicle, I never received a call even to say they werent interested.Im amending the stars to 4/5 because I realize the dealership is supposed to be independent, its a shame that nissan Corp doesnt stand behind dealerships. Knocked on star off because of no one calling regarding buying the vehicle from me (even if it was a no thank you.)

Do not let them get your phone number they will call text and harass you. I called to ask one question they stole my number of of caller Id and kept harassing me from different numbers. I had to let them know that if I had interest in buying from them absolute will never ever do business with them.
Took my car in for service. I was greeted promptly and my service advisor was Greg who began to help me. My service was completed in a timely manner and there were some things that needed to be addressed that I was made aware of. Great customer service.

Service was terrible, I just went to check if there was any recall on the CVT on my car.. They told me my car would be covered under warranty and CVT would need replacement. I told the Service guy my car was salvage and he said it didnt matter. He gave me a rental and told me my car would be ready next day at no cost. He calls me next day telling me that it was not covered because it was salvage and Ill have to pay 200 for diagnosis plus pay for the rental he gave me.Very disappointed with these people.

We believe the manager, the salesperson, and the financial person all helped to get us into a sale vehicle within a liveable car payment. Accidentally, our car had a few accessories missing discovered after we left the lot. We returned and had additional employees only too happy, and with courtesy, make it right. Ralph is a great service man, i had a pleasure working with the nissan service team and always have.. They really are present and always make repairs feel like a breeze.. repairs can be tough for everyone, and having kind gentleman handle those things certainly takes the edge off.
Im not sure if this is a unique experience, but nothing about my purchase worked out the way it should have.Back in September of last year I struck a deal for a new truck that was going to be brought in from another dealer. All the paperwork was filled out, all the financing was completed and I was told that my new vehicle would be ready to pick up in 4 days. Fast forward to day 4, and when I hadnt heard anything from the dealer, I called them to see what was going on. Long story short, the truck was sold to another person by the other dealership and Coast Nissan never contacted me. They ended up finding me a different truck in a different color that I agreed to purchase. When I returned to the dealership to fill out the paperwork again, I was assured that my loan would be processed by the previously agreed upon lender, who I do all my lending through. 2 days later I picked up my new truck. Keep in mind that I had a pre-approval letter sent to Coast Nissan from my bank a couple of months prior.After checking with the lender of my choice, I found that they opted not to process the loan through the lender that I filled out my paperwork for and selected a different lender of their choosing. The end result is, I had 9 separate credit checks against my credit from every lender under the sun.I assume that lender offered the dealer more of a cash incentive to file the loan with them rather than the one I filled my paperwork out for.After bringing this to Mikes attention, the general manager, I was given a service plan as a sorry for failing to keep their word at every step of the car buying process. Upon taking my truck to have it serviced for the second time, I found out that they have terminated my service agreement with no notification. When I asked the service person to look into this, he replied with the something to the extent of, the lender opted not pay for the service plan. As previously stated, this maintenance package was added at no charge 2 months after purchasing my truck, for not being able to provide the first truck I purchased and wrongly filing my loan through a lender I did not select.Anyhow, I am pleased with my truck so far, but I cannot recommend Coast Nissan. If I had to do it again, I would have gone with my second choice truck or gone out of the area to purchase this truck.

I was up in San Luis Obispo for work, quite a distance from my own home when my cars battery gave out on me. Getting a jump helped me make it to their dealership, where I was treated in such an amazing way. They helped get me back safely on the road and home with a battery replacement.
Customer service rep was friendly, available for phone questions, and accurate in estimates. Service to the vehicle far exceeded expectations. Saved me money for the service provided and helped clarify what service needs to be completed in the near future. I can budget for real costs to maintain my 18 year old Quest. Other repair shops had $1000 jumps to estimates on their services.
Before purchasing our Nissan Rouge, we looked at lots of brands and were unimpressed with the salespeople and their lack of knowledge (and bs answers) and service we received, At Coast Nissan, Jesse was our salesperson - He knew the vehicle well, was able to explain the features, could answer most questions, and anything he didnt know he said hed find out (and he did!) and he had a grip on the inventory. The Coast Nissan team gave great service and made the buying process easy. We recommend them and will be going there the next time we purchase a vehicle.
Bought a used Chevy Spark (a plug in electric vehicle) and it started off great, but went sour from there. The Spark was missing the charging cable and the salesman said they could get another one as part of the sale. Estimates varied from few days, the following day, a week, etc. Now, its been 5 days and still no cable. Whats worst is calls and even an email to the General Manager have gone unanswered. Without the charging, I have a very expensive paperweight!!!They need to get better at managing expectations and keeping their word!!!!!!

When a employee hangs up on you and you are still talking trying to fix something they promised. That was very professional of him! They said I would not receive a statement if I would trade in my lease before time was up.I sat there back in February asked them twice I will not receive a bill? Their response No you wont. They do not put any interest in helping out. Have to call multiple times and I probably will have to call again. Just like they insisted me to go in there to talk about my trade in (lease) I will insist for them to fix this. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS DEALER . THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH AND TRY TO TURN IT AROUND AND BLAME THE COSTUMER.
Purchased a new key fob for a Nissan Leaf that I bought used from this dealer and it came with only one fob. The total price for fob and programming was $407. This seems to be excessive for such a simple thing.

Every time something needed to be done he would always be updating me on where we were at price range and that really was helpful because a lot of technicians dont do that. He was also helpful in who I needed to call to figure out my warranty and always got back to me in a timely manner. I was very pleased with their service and will go back again. This by far is my favorite Nissan.

Living on the Central Coast I found that customer service is almost nonexistent, simple things you would expect to be normal with a positive outcome are not. Unless you press the issue it will never happen. I shouldnβt have to write a review about a simple battery that cost a couple hundred dollars compared to the price of a new vehicle, but I did. In this day and age anywhere else I would have been on my own.Thank You Michael Hansen, I purchased a new 2019 Nissan Titan Pro4x, had a dead battery at the lot and twice a week later at home. Jump started and drove to Coast Nissan on Friday, they load tested the battery and it showed good. Despite the results I informed Michael that I needed a new battery, Michael did replace the battery like I requested. Thank You, I have had no issues since. Iβm sure glad, I went hiking with the family in the forest that Saturday, and if the truck failed to start afterwards it would have been a different story from me. Thanks for going above and making it right. I hope this will be the same outcome throughout my services at Coast Nissan. Thanks again, Mike Herr.
It was a pleasant, non stressful experience and I appreciated Celica Cervantes being friendly and she did not try to push me into making a quick decision. She was patient with me since I have never purchased or leased a vehicle on my own before. I was surprised when the final MSRP came back $3-$4000 higher than what we originally talked about. That should be brought to the buyers attention before sitting down to make a deal. I am happy with the lease agreement and look forward to returning to the dealer for free car washes and regular maintenance included in my least contract. Plus the warranty.
Went to test drive a car, which we ended up purchasing with Zach and Ryan. Zach ran everywhere (literally jogged!) to get things ready for us. He was patient, actually listened to what we wanted and laid out the facts- didnt try to sell us on something we couldnt afford.Ryan spent extra time hunting down a better APR so we could keep within our budget. Everyone was very friendly and offered us water, cookies, and even went on a Starbucks run.We are pleased with the experience, the price and the options we were offered.
I do not suggest going to this dealership. It is very sad they take advantage of their customers. They do not care about their customers and do not keep to their marketing like they say. I went in a year ago and bought a brand new car and they added a extended service warranty and gap insurance. Which yes I understand the gap is important but why an extended warranty when you donβt need it or canβt use it for 3 years or 36,000 miles. My grandfather and I went in their two days to get the two removed as it is a law for them to respect and remove it per the customers request if that is what they want and they all talked to get their story the same so that they wouldnβt make the mistake of telling different stories. Then after speaking with a family friend who helps people like me who dealerships like Coast nissan take advantage of, spoke with the sales manager he told him a different story and said they were just to busy to take care of it. They are at the point of disrespecting peopleβs legal rights. My grandfather tried to contact them twice on December 2,2019 to get the issue resolved and no solution. Do not fall into the trap that I did, that they care about you and will get you the best deal, they lie cheat and steal from people. And legal rights are not being accepted or respected.
I have never in my entire life been so well taken care of by a dealership as I was by Coast Nissan. The service writer, Mike Hansen, is one of the most accommodating, professional people I have ever encountered. The entire team was truly fantastic!

Appalling customer service! Deserves a minus 1!My husband went to Coast Nissan as a repeat customer ( 4 cars over the past 10 years). His work truck was totaled and he needed a new vehicle. After a couple days of looking at this dealership and the Chevrolet dealership he decided on a truck from Coast. At first the salesman was friendly and seemed to want to take care of him. He stated that he was still waiting for the payout from the insurance company and would need to write two checks for the down payment, one of which would be held till he called and verified that the funds were in his account. He was told there was no need to post date the second check as they would hold it till he called. The salesman told him he would fill the gas tank, never happened, they would leave the contract in the truck as the salesman, Joe, would be dropping the truck off at our home. Gave him license plates that didnt match the number on the contract. Didnt happen...The next day when my husband went to get insurance on the truck the contract was not there. The General Manager said he could not have the papers till the checks were cleared. After some argument said contract was given up.After telling the salesman, the finance manager and the G.M. to not deposit the larger check till the funds were there, they did anyway and caused us to incur overdraft charges that they now say is not their problem. Shayla, the finance manager called several times in one day and when the call was returned and the overdraft problem discussed she assured him they would take care of it. Now its not their problem. Today when my husband went there to talk about the problem he was threatened with calling the police to say the vehicle was stolen( after it is already financed...) and told he couldnt leave the dealership till he wrote another check??? This dealership has really gone down hill since the changes in management and staff. We will NEVER purchase another vehicle there and will be contacting Nissan Corp. AND our lawyer. Just appalling treatment, only out for a buck.

Great experience. When I arrived, they had drinks from Starbucks waiting for me and my granddaughter. Chase was extremely helpful and wanted to make sure that I left in a car that was perfect for me, and even moved my granddaughters car seat to the new car so that I could take it for a test drive. I would recommend them above any other Nissan dealership on the Central Coast.

I bought my Nissan Rogue in July 2019. Juan Zarate was the salesperson. When I told him that I was looking for a 2016 Nissan Rogue, he found the perfect vehicle. He also did his best to help me get it. I got a good deal on my trade in.Shayla did all the paperwork. She was very quick and efficient.They both made buying a car a plesant experience.Yesterday, I took my car in for an oil change. The service manager Greg got me in and out quickly. I had a snack from their snack bar while I waited. Again, I had a wonderful experience.

Service DepartmentWe took our car in a couple of days ago for a recall. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. They called to let us know the part had come in. We asked if we could pick our car up over the weekend and they said we could. Michael the service manager called to say our car was ready and he handed us the keys on Saturday
Coast Nissan is by far the best car dealer I have ever done business with. Ive purchased three vehicles there in three years and the shopping and contract process has always been painless and stress free. I drove a car of Nissans main competitor for years and was completely satisfied with their product but after dealing with Coast Nissan I have no interest in doing business elsewhere. Everyone there is helpful and friendly and its a pleasure to be in the building. I believe this attitude probably starts at the top with ownership and management and think all businesses should be run this way. Their policy of washing my car whenever I bring it in puts them in a class by themselves for customer service and is smart business as it brings me on the lot occasionally and led to the purchase of my second car there. I rate Coast Nissan 10 out of 10 in all categories and would recommend them to anyone.
Coast Nissan should not have a 4.4 average rating. It should be significantly lower. The reason it is so much higher is because they have been utilizing a service to post fake reviews. If you look at the majority of the 5 star ratings you can see they have been submitted by users who only submit 5 star review. If you take the time to audit the reviews you can see they are clearly fake. If they are dishonest with the reviews can you really expect them to be honorable when working on your car?I was planning on taking my Nissan Altima in for a transmission fluid exchange but when I was attempting to get in contact from someone in the service department no one would answer the phone. When I tried the sales option I was left on hold for 20 minutes after a sales agent said they would locate a member of the service team. I called back and was informed to leave a message. No one has called me back in regards to getting my service performed and I have spent over 2 hours trying to get through to someone at the service department. I decided to give Santa Maria Nissan a call and Omar was able to thoroughly answer my questions and get me an appointment scheduled in less than 5 minutes. Do yourself a favor and do NOT use Coast Nisan.
What a waste of my TIME! I have spent weeks, months working with the sales people at Coast Nissan and only received a slue of empty promises and wasted time. They had me come in to work my deal that they promised me on three occasions and all of their quotes fell through once I got there. I have never worked so hard to buy a car from a dealer in my life! Although she was nice, our sales person did not call us back, repeatedly and we had to contact her dad, the manager, to get a response to our request for a quote, which inevitably ended up not being anywhere close to what we were promised. On Memorial day we gave it our last effort and went to the dealership to make a purchase. We were sat in a room and left for over an hour with no service. When my husband complained he was told the sales person was busy selling cars and moved to a different office with our two small children and waited longer. He was told to call back tomorrow and someone would help him...LAST STRAW. We called Nissan of Santa Barbara the following day, had a deal done over the phone that met all of our needs by lunch and SANTA BARBARA even drove the car all the way to our house to earn our business!!! Can you believe it? Why bother with poor customer service from Coast Nissan, when SANTA BARBARA NISSAN will make your dreams come true over your lunch hour and front door service!Sorry Coast Nissan, we gave you all the opportunities in the world to sell two separate cars on more than one occasion, WE WILL NEVER WASTE OUR TIME AGAIN!!!!
Terrible experience at this service department. Way too expensive. Never was given a clear explanation of the work they did. And they failed to do the work I asked for. Ended up with a broken drivers seat in the bargain! Never buy a Nissan and never come to the San Luis Nissan Service Department. Youll regret it. I do.
I wish I could have given this place a raving review but unfortunately due to a series of events things have gone sour. I was told upon signing and reassured that the automobile was equipped with a backup camera Bluetooth and GPS none of which were true I realize its my responsibility as a consumer to check so thats on me but they shouldnt lieThe main reason I am upset is because I was explicitly told I would get two years of registration due to the fact the car was going to expire soon after I drove it off the lot now a year in a few months later Im told they said no such thing Unfortunately they go through employees like a revolving door I just wish they would make it right and do what they promised.( will revise review if things improve)

Its been a bad experience for me ever since i bought this car from coast nissan, its been in the shop there more then i have had the car and it is still not fixed very disappointing to say the least.
