Customer service is a joke and they talk to people like they are lecturing a child. Way over priced for what you get. No wonder they always have appointments open when every other place in town is full for weeks.

Traveling thru N Central OH, our tire developed a flat late Sat. afternoon. After calling many places, we were left with no options to repair our tire, so I did another search. We called at about 5:20 p.m. and they said to come on in. We arrived at 5:40 p.m., they closed at 6. They quickly diagnosed our problem and applied a patch. We were on our way by 6. Great customer service, and the service advisor did not charge us. Firestone has earned a new customer, especially the one in Sandusky. Thanks Guys!

I had an emergency that I needed my tires put on the rims and I called ahead to see if they had time for me to bring them in got there later then I planned and they are life savers they took my tires and rims even though they take there last at 6:15 and it was 6:40 so they had to work over just for me it was 7:20 when finished. I always have a great experience here. They always offer me the best deals and I never have to shop around because I know I am offered the best price. They always recommend additional services to keep my vehicle running its best but they never force me to take them or make me feel bad for turning them down. I always recommend Firestone and I appreciate that they recognize military for a discount.

Matt is the manager, awesome guy. Needed an oil change in a hurry but none of his guys wanted to mess with an oil change on my lifted f250 becuase it was too big for the lift which meant whomever changed the oil had to get on there back under the truck and none of them wanted to do it. So Matt, the manager, went out in the garage and got dirty to get my oil change done so I could get back to work. Awesome dude!

Horrible experience. Went in to Firestone to get a oil change and tires on my wifes SUV. Before I could get half my request out Matt says NOPE with a snarky tone and stands there looking at me. He made me feel like I just did something wrong for asking. He was rude the rest of the conversation. Someone needs to learn how to respect his elders let alone a customer. He SHOULD NOT deal with people. Since he didnt want my business I went to Walmart and was talking with a young lady waiting on her car telling her about my experience and she wont go to Firestone for basically the same reasons from the same exact person. I feel bad for the people you work with. Please seek therapy

I felt like Firestone in Sandusky, Ohio needed to be noticed for their wonderful customer service. I have had three experiences with this location and with three different staff members. All of the staff members I dealt with treated me with true honesty. As a woman that knows nothing about cars, I was very confident in their recommendations of tires, brakes and their knowledge of safety of my vehicle. Highly recommend them to anyone. Went twice and it was 2 times too much. Took over an hour for an oil change (with an appointment mind you). They kept trying to give me services I didnt need. Stick to an honest respectable mechanic. You wont get that here.

Our vehicle broke down on a short family vacation over this past holiday season. This firestone location was the only shop that was able to squeeze us in for a repair and were more than accommodating while we waited. Even though it was New Years Eve, they stayed late to finish our vehicle so we could get back on the road and home with our two small children that night. Amazing group of people here, we will forever be grateful.

Decent place for car care. Employees are nice and knowledgeable about vehicles of all makes and models. Pricing is not too awful depending on what services you are in need of. Definitely check around when doing any car repairs, sometimes this place is your best option.

Excellent! it was discovered in the battery inspection that my battery needed replaced and since we have attic conditions due next week, I needed a reliable battery in my vehicle. Also, I thought I had a low tide and it turns out I had 3 slow leaking tires due to tire rim corrosion. Due to my schedule that day, I didnt have enough time to complete the tire job but will take it back in 3 days and have that job completed. My Firestone staff is very accommodating to my busy schedule!!

They dont communicate with each other. Took vehicle in Sunday afternoon. Told them what I thought was wrong. They said it wasnt that. I say, okay, keep it and call me Monday. I call Monday at 1pm. Guy on phone tells me the same thing I said when I took it in. Then he tells me the diagnostic guy is already off for the day. I call Tuesday at noon (they never called). In told it is being looked at right then. I call at 3 and am told by Rick that Steve will call me right back. I call at 4 and they still dont know (and didnt bother to call me back). I finally get a call at 5 with what they think is wrong (all they did was hook a computer up and get a code, why did that take two days?). I explain that is probably not the issue because the part they think is bad (but didnt look at) is less than two months old. So they say theyll call me back. Another hour goes by and they tell me to take it to the dealership.I guess they dont really mean it when they say complete auto care.

Had an issue with my car so I went to another shop to get it looked at and receive an estimate. They estimated it would be about $700+ to fix it and they couldnt get it in for another week. I contacted Firestone and they were able to get my car in the next day and fixed the issue for less than $200. After it was fixed, they showed me exactly what was wrong and what it should look like. They were very open and honest about everything and provided quality work for a much cheaper cost.

These guys are amazing. I was broke down and over 2 hours from home. They got my part and had me back on the road on the same day which happened to be a Sunday!!

This is a great place to go for auto service. the staff is great. They have great customer service. I really enjoyed my visit and they did a great job with my car. If you stop there and Micheal Z is at the counter ask him about his grand kids.

Fixed tire instead of trying to sell new one.Noticed they treated everyone the same. Multiple women and elderly came in and they were treated well.Definitely will go here again if in the area and need auto work done.

I had a screw in my tire. Luckily it was a short one that didnt go all the way through the tread. They got me in faster than I expected and didnt charge to get the screw out. All my experiences with them have been good.

Needed a tow Friday night and had my car taken to the Firestone since it was one of the closest shops near me. They did the diagnostic quickly, but my car needed a manufacture only part. They ordered it when the manufacture opened on Monday (the part was a fuel pump driver module for a Mercury Montego). They notified me that the total cost to repair would be about $450 and then tried to tell me that the repair cost was so much because they spent about $250 on the part itself. I called Ford because that sounded high and found out that they had actually paid about $120 for the part...not $250. I understand that a shop will charge more than what they pay for parts and then add labor, but it is utterly ridiculous that they would try to charge more than double for a part than what they actually paid for it. Also, after I decided to have my car towed to the Ford dealer (since Ford charged me more than $100 less then what Firestone quoted), they tried to hold onto my car until I paid a $99 diagnostic fee that was never conveyed to me. Although they will repair your car, Firestone will completely rip you off and you’d be better off going to a manufacturer or a shop that isn’t a part of a franchise. At the very least, do you homework and know how much a part is worth so that you know for sure whether you’re being ripped off. To be clear...Firestone WILL rip you off.

My boyfriend and I were taking a trip to Ohio to go to hallo weekends last fall, and we ran over a large object in the middle of the road. We took our car to Firestone and they informed us that we cracked our transmission pan. The guys at the front desk were very helpful! They diagnosed the car correctly and told us it would be ready the next day (thats when the part would be there). We are from Michigan and we told them that we desperately needed the car fixed and asked if there was any way we could have it fixed that day so we could get back home. One of the gentleman called numerous places looking for the part. They did everything they could to help us! Not only did they have it fixed that day, but our car was ready in a matter of a couple hours!! I was so impressed by their willingness to help us and the fact that they actually cared. I really wish they were located in Michigan. I would highly recommend them!!!

We also broke down on the Turnpike on our way to a funeral service in Pittsburgh like one of the other reviewers. It was a Sunday so unfortunately NO rental car places were open except Cleveland Airport, an hour taxi ride away. Jason Evans did his best to make sure we were back on the road safely later that evening (stayed after hours) and Tyler went over and above fixing our car and staying late to do so as well. Took my car in for a wheel alignment only. Got my car back the next day. Now keep in mind its 5 speed Diesel engine car. Its got a lot of work done to the engine. Car drove like a top. Drove it to Virginia West Virginia Pennsylvania no problem. I get it back and all of a sudden my shift pattern is completely off and my linkage needs readjusted all there 35 year master mechanic could say is I dont have an answer. As long as Im driving Ill never take anything back to them along with my family. Stay away from them support local businesses not coporate

Our car broke down on the toll road and the tow truck driver took us to Firestone. They were busy but said they would work us in. The waiting room is good, with a restroom and coffee station. There was a TV to watch. After a couple of hours, the technician called us up to the desk and told us that our car had warped heads and couldnt be fixed. Since it was late Saturday afternoon, the only rental cars were in Cleveland. The staff at Firestone was very helpful in helping us get to Cleveland. They were knowledgable and caring.

Went here because I thought they did good work. Had a alignment done since I was getting new tires and wanted them to last a while. The vehicles alignment was not that bad when I brought it in and after leaving it is now horrible. Wanders all over the road and has a hard pull to the right. They also never tightened the valve stem covers down and I lost two. The other two were barely on. Spent almost 3 hrs there after they told me it would only take 1 hr. Now I have to take the vehicle to a different alignment shop and spend more money to get it fixed. Highly not recommended to go here.

You would expect getting a flat tire fixed at a tire store would be a pretty easy thing. Well not so much at this location...First, they didnt use nitrogen when they fixed the tire (all the tires were previously filled w/ nitrogen), and didnt tell me (I had to ask). They told me they never use nitrogen, even if they are repairing a tire that already has it in. So, given that three tires have nitrogen and one has air only, I expect that the tire pressure will be different at highway speeds.Second, they over-inflated the tire to 48.5 psi (the recommended pressure as listed inside the door is 35, and the maximum safe pressure is 44. I checked the pressure with my digital gauge after their work was finished and was shocked that it was 48.5.Lastly, they didnt even have the courtesy to put the spare back where it belongs, and just threw it in the back of the van.I passed two other tire stores on the way to Firestone to make sure I had tire professionals working on my Firestone tires, but was very disappointed in the result.

Had some minor trouble with my car while traveling through Sandusky for a conferance. They took great care of me. They got me back on the road quick and made sure I was well informed so I could keep my car running well. Highly recommend coming to these guys with any car trouble or tire needs.

They do good work and are reliable. However, I have 2 big complaints. One, they take FOREVER. It seems that every job takes a long time and they are always behind. Second is, their prices for repair services (other than tires and oil changes) are very high. I was quoted over $800 for rear shocks and front struts on my 2006 Ford Focus. I bought the same brand and model parts for a total of $100 on Amazon. Considering this car has some of the simplest suspension to work on (total of 12 bolts for all 4 corners), this markup seemed ridiculous to me.

Jason is the bomb! The only car mechanics in Sandusky Ive found that you can trust. Tired of getting hosed where youve been going? This is a place youll want to try. I dont know if they are the cheapest, but if they do it theyll do it right and they stand by their work. So you wont have to get the same work done over and over again. Never had a experience, like at some places, where your car seems to get unrelated problems mysteriously after theyve fixed something else. To top it off you can hang out at the mall, get a burrito at Chipotle, or browse tech at Best Buy while you wait for the work to get done. Bonus.

Didnt fix alignment fully. Failed to grease new tire rods. Busted clip on factory hubcap. Missed something on my car and fixed it for free. Expensive place to get your car fixed though. I would not recommend.

Road trips are fun, until you have car trouble. Luckily, we made it to our destination and our destination had a Firestone. This Firestone went above and beyond to make sure we could get back on the road and get home safely. When we called, there were no appointments left but they got us in anyway because of our predicament. They worked on the car for three days because multiple issues popped up. One technician, Roger, even came in early to make sure he could finish the car on the day we were supposed to leave. We cannot thank you enough, Roger. Also, giving a shout out to Willy for the excellent customer service at check out.
