I had a really awesome experience with this store. The gentleman I spoke to, Art, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He did everything in his power to address my needs, and he got the job done for me. Despite my ridiculous demands, Art was able to navigate my requests successfully. He went above and beyond for me. Came here to ship a ups package, they gave me free bubble wrap for filling my package.Second time, the person Alec told me bubble wrap was not free! (In spite of there being a huge core on the left) i ended up just buying a single roll to fill my package. At least the tape is still free.Also saw several pulltags for xbox and playstation consoles. Took one up to the cashier and they didnt have any consoles. What coule have been a pleasant surprise that leads to a rating boost from me instead shows how sloppy this store is ran.Please Staples, get your act together and be consistent. Ill be willing to visit later.
So so so disappointed with this location. I worked at a different Staples for 6 years and I’m not impressed. I ordered wedding invitations from the copy center and when I arrived to pick them up the associate wasn’t friendly at all, seemed too concerned about getting back to her cell phone. When she found my order she handed the box to me and that was it. Didn’t show me the invitations or ask me how they looked. I stood there and opened it myself to find out that almost every single one of them still had the cut marks on the top and some of the bottom words were cut off along with being off-centered. To top it all off, she didn’t even check me out. She let me walk out the door with $80 worth of product for free. I am not that person so I will be going back tomorrow to get them re-done and to speak with the manager about my experience. I hate to be the person to complain but I am shocked that this happened.
I decided that I would, after a number of years, replace my old HP ALL In One printer. I walked into I the Sandusky Staples store and found that most of the on shelf printers were out of stock. In addition to that, the employee I talked to did not seem to want to work with me... or anyone else for that matter. If I could give a lower rating, based on my visit, I would. Off to Best Buy I go.
Called on April 24th at 12:24 pm, spoke to a female about ordering a color infographic as an engineering print as I did not need the high quality of a poster. She advised me she was the correct person at the store to ask when I questioned if I had the right person. She confirmed print and laminating pricing as well as laminating size availability for me. I asked specifically if there was anything I needed to know about ordering a color engineering print as I had not yet built the infographic and did not want to waste my time building something that was incorrect specs or could not be printed. She told me only that I needed to submit as a pdf and that if I knew I wanted it laminated it would be easiest to order in store otherwise ordering online was just fine.I then spent 3 hours building my infographic last night and submitted the order online (opted against laminating). Today I received a call from the store telling me that engineering prints have a color restriction of 30% and that my print could not be done. I expressed my frustration as I have now already wasted time creating the doc that they now wont print and I had confirmed that my project was possible to be printed in this manner by calling prior to crating the doc. He initially described the situation as the printer not actually being able to print over 30% color on the paper for engineering prints, but then offered to speak with his manager this afternoon to see if the manager was willing to make an exception and print the project anyways since I was told incorrectly by their employee. After hearing that, it was clear that this is not a situation of cannot print but will not print if the printer actually could not make the print there would be no ability of the manager to create an exception.It would be useful if you educate your employees so that when customers do take the time to confirm details for a desired project they can answer correctly.
I have been a steady customer of this store for years. The staff knows me by name and caters to my needs. It is the best office supply store I have ever visited and I have seen plenty over the years. Keep up the good work!

A few weeks ago I got an on the fly job interview that wanted copies of my resume. I ran into the store with nothing but my resume on my email. Huck in the printing department was truly a life saver that day. I was so stressed and anxious and he made it so smooth. It honestly and truly was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any type of retail.

Store says closes at 7 on the internet . I arrived at 6 and it was closed. I tried to call multiple times at 4 but no one answered the phone. I was on hold for 20 min.
I just had ankle surgery a couple weeks ago and am on no weight bearing for 6 weeks. I went to the store today to get printer paper, payroll checks and glue sticks. Upon entering the store, we were not greeted by anyone, we asked if they had an electric cart or wheelchair and was told no. I am on crutches. They said customers usually bring their own. Well as I was not asked if anyone could help me, I proceeded to hobble down the aisles in search of my items. Could not find them, so I hobbled back up front and asked the only clerk I saw, which was in the printing dept. He said I would have to order the printer paper and the checks are in the back of the store and he wasnt sure which one I would need. I told him which one I needed, but he said that was all he knew, was where they were and the printing dept is his area to work. By this time another employee and already come into our conversation and reiterated where the checks were located, but did not offer to get them for me as I stood there on crutches. I got what they did have, only because I had to have them today, and left. Will not return to this location again. Very unfriendly, rude and not accommodating to physically challenged customers.
Great store. I was able to walk in, get what I wanted and head directly to the front check out. The store was well lit and laid out. Easy to find what you are looking for without needing assistance.
I drove 25 min from Lakeside on my vacation to get some invitations printed. The website and google say 7 pm closing on Sundays, however when I pulled up I found that it has been changed to 6pm. Updates need to be made so when someone from out of state is near they don’t drive out of their way to do/get something for nothing.
My experience has been with the printing department. I created a single page color document that I wanted printed. The Staples store in Elyria would always print one as a preview and, if I approved, would print the rest. This guy didnt. He just printed x copies and gave them to me. The color and contrast was messed up so the grey and black all merged together. He was so busy that we couldnt get new ones printed so we just left. Skip forward 2 weeks: I created a color poster to the specs listed on the website for an 11x17 print. When my friend told the guy that she wanted a poster printed, he didnt ask what size and just printed the BIGGEST (and most expensive) size possible. When she tried to get his attention, he snubbed her off because, once again, he was busy. My friend payed almost triple the price we intended to and it seems like no one cared about customer service! This place just wants your money... dont go here.
Upon arriving no one greeted us. We found what we were looking for and headed to the registers. We passed 2 employees, who looked like supervisors. Neither said a word. When we got to the register there was a customer in front of us. We watched as the customer placed her basket on the platform. The cashier very rudely told her to put the basket back where she got it. Then she proceeded to eat a potato chip as she finished ringing her up. Soon after it was our turn. The interaction between employee and customer was very cold and unfriendly.

I stopped in with my wife to buy a new printer and they had an amazing selection plus they offer a price match guarantee not that I needed it they were cheaper than anywhere including Amazon.

Went in to get envelopes, no one in store but me (couldnt find employees to take my money, they saw me and walked away). Went to Wal Mart (and I dont like wal mart). Looking for good office supply store.
Had to drop off a package at Staples for UPS . Associate behind counter were awesome to deal with they also printed receipt and answered all my questions during my visit.
I have been bringing my laptops to Staples for several years but never until today was I treated so rudely by the tech specialist Will. First off the clerk couldnt find him anywhere. She even mentioned it to the manager when he passed by us and he did nothing!! When Will finally did get there, he went behind the counter for about 1minute and never took the time for me to explain what was wrong with my laptop. All he said was he couldnt help me and he proceeded to walk away which had me talking to him as he was leaving the counter. He told me I had to log into my Microsoft account. I do NOT HAVE a Microsoft account. Never have. I told him that as he was walking AWAY!! My days at your store are over. I didnt appreciate being treated like that . He was very rude.
