I just want to say how wonderful of an experience we had today for the first time! Very professional with a consultation of what Zoey needed to have done and the product of Zoey is perfect. Zoey is 7 months and I feel like Abbie, the groomer I chose knew exactly how to cut and style her. I am so pleased and will definitely be returning. She looks perfect and I’m so happy. Took my dog Yeti here the other day and had a excellent experience! Yeti has never been big on getting his nails trimmed or taking baths and they made it easy and fun for him to enjoy his pamper. I appreciate everyone for their professionalism. Yeti loved it so much he wanted to go back in for more after he was done! Definitely a 5 star experience ✨

Discovered Perk-n-Pooch online and decided to give it a try since they offered a Puppy Groom service. I brought my 3 month old puppy, Chloe, in for her first grooming experience. Melanie and the rest of the staff did a great job! Melanie explained everything at the car / curbside about what will happen to Chloe.They are still doing curbside drop offs and pick ups! We parked near the sidewalk and someone quickly came out to take care of us. It was really easy and efficient!The staff is great and responded very well to any questions we had before (and after) the service. According to everyone, Chloe did a pretty gob job during her time there. They even dressed her up in cute bows and a bandanna. We are glad to know that she was safe and happy. Everyone really took their time to make sure the fur babies are taken care of.Hopefully when COVID - 19 figures itself out we can go back again and check out the coffee house portion of their business in the future. We look forward to coming back 😄

I would rate higher but the curb side drop off solution doesn’t seem like the best one for animals in general as even they staff complained of nervous pets. Also my dog needed to be re brushed. The whole reason we wanted him groomed was too thin his hair but it was coming out on tufts.

I love and trust Perk N Pooch! Abby takes great care of my goldendoodle every time! The last time I came in I shared some concerns about her coat changes and she made great recommendations to care for her best. I would highly recommend.

I had a pretty average experience at Perk n Pooch. I brought my dog here recently and my groomer was less than friendly when initially discussing how to cut my dog’s hair. When I picked her up, her body hair was trimmed fine, but it appeared as though her ears hadn’t been brushed or trimmed at all. I had asked for her to thin out the ears and trim them to clean them up but still to keep them long. I found a few mats in there that they didn’t cut out.

I was so excited to return with my dog after our first experience. I was so impressed by the staff, their kindness, and the way they treated my pup. However, I am very disappointed in my second experience. The man, name unknown, who greeted us was extremely unfriendly. He did not make us feel very welcomed. When I picked up my pup, he was again extremely blunt and made me feel like a 20% tip on top of a $98 dog groom wasn’t enough. I was pleased with Abbie’s services! I would recommend her for doodles if you’re willing to pay their prices!

Perk N Pooch is a great place. They treat my pup right. He’s always a happy camper and looks and smells fresh! They do curbside pick up and drop off they really go out of your way to make you feel comfortable and best of all, your pet comes home happy and clean every time! Thanks guys!

They take such good care of our older dog who has developed some arthritis in his hips (16 YO 45 lbs Shepard mix) we do a regular wash, de-shed, and nails -they do a great job getting his under coat brushed out!Overall atmosphere is an added bonus in non-covid times! Every interaction Ive experienced and witnessed has always been top notch customer service with a very warm demeanor toward myself and all the dogs you see coming in and out.

I found this groomer after several shops such as PetSmart were unable to cut the nails of my mastiff due to being afraid of his size and after several reports of my lab mix being loud and talkative. It was clear that the pups werent satisfied so when I found Perk-N-Pooch it was a total life saver! They were so kind with my mastiff and put him at ease and hes had a great report every time. My lab is still terrified of water, but they go slow and speak sweetly to her every time and its really helped her fear.I get to sit back with great coffee, chat with the friendly staff and my dogs get a full treatment. I drive about 45 minutes to get to the groomer, but now Ill never go anywhere else!

LOVE Perk-N-Pooch and my pup does too! My pup is a little bit of a chicken but he has no trouble at perk-n-pooch and they treat him so well! Whenever he leaves there he has a little extra pep in his step. Makes me want to go get a haircut! Ha!They do a great job and are very detailed. They trim his nails nice and short. When they do his summer haircut they dont just shave his entire body like a lot of groomers but take the extra time to scissor trim places that are usually naturally fluffy like his legs, tail, ears. Theyre more expensive but worth every penny!

Amazing groomer. I literally just got home from picking up my pup and had to review. I am a brand new dog mom and this was my first grooming apt ever. Melanie took my pup in and Susan did the grooming. I could not be more impressed with both of their service. They both took the time to explain everything to me; I didnt feel rushed at all when asking questions. Susan called me during the appointment to run everything by me before she did it, which I appreciate so much. I really felt that my baby was in amazing hands and I will not hesitate to keep coming back.

AMAZING SERVICE!! They actually care about your fur babies. I called to ask about pricing & possibly schedule an appointment. I expressed some of my concerns with my scared and shy shih-poo. The manager (Tracy I believe was her name) talked to me about how they handle their dogs and went over pricing in explicit detail. We were on the phone for 30 minutes and she actually cared to hear my concerns. I wasn’t just another person calling asking about pricing. She placed my dog with Abby, a former vet technician and a highly trained groomer. When I dropped by baby off, I spoke with Abby for about 10 minutes about how I wanted her hair cut, more concerns I had with my senior, scared pup and more. She listened thoroughly and said she would take care of her personally. When I came to pick my fur baby up, Abby brought her out and we discussed how the appointment went, and she took her time with my baby because she was so skittish. I really appreciated the level of commitment she has for the job. I will definitely be bringing my baby back there when it’s time for another groom. You’re not just another number in line or someone to scam out of money. They genuinely care about the animals they work with which is hard to find. I would recommend this place to everyone! Thank you guys for taking such good care of my baby today.

I have been reasonably happy with them in the past but today I am pretty disappointed. They cut all the hair off her beautiful tail and sliced off the eyelashes. Her lashes that must have been 2.5 inches long! I have a 22 pound labradoodle that is calm and friendly, so it is not like they had to be fighting with the pooch. Our regular groomer was not there so the one they assigned may be inexperienced, I am not sure.Within a day 3 people have told me her tail looks like a rats tail now. This is a dog that wherever we went for a walk people stopped us to comment on how beautiful she is. No excuse for this. If they thought it had knots (which it did not) they should have called us before they ruined her look for a year.I see the owner responded. The correct response would have been we really messed this one up, we are very sorry and will take corrective actions to try and do better in the future. What I got was a typical defensive reply that made excuses for the bad work. They said they discounted the service. I am going to give the full discount to the Humane Society, I could care less about the discount.....

Have taken our two dogs here multiple times. We always love the cut and feel the dogs are well taken care of and given breaks from the process. The staff know our boys by name and we will be going here forever.

Our sweet Frankie loved this place! Our favorite place that we were taking him since he was a puppy lost their groomer and we have been on the hunt for a new place. We have been here a couple times and it is officially our go-to groomer! Our little dog is usually nervous during his haircuts, but they still manage to get him calm, comfortable and clean-cut! If youre nervous about your Pooch has haircut, be sure to trust the groomers here, they definitely know what theyre doing!!

I drove from Smyrna because of the great reviews. I was also intrigued by the Coffee shop. We had a great experience with the DIY and they had everything we needed. They even offered us more time on the dryer for my doodle which I thought was very nice! I saw the cutest dogs and they all looked liked Super Stars! Everyone seemed so passionate and professional. My pooch ended her visit with an ice cream.

First time coming here to have BOTH of my dogs nails clipped. I woke up THIS morning to find a place that was open. I called them to schedule an appointment but had a hick up and they were still able to accommodate my husband and I. We were greeted at the door by someone who was very friendly. As soon as we stepped in both of our dogs were immediately taken to the back to get their nails cut by two groomers who were also very sweet to our dogs. While we were waiting outside we grabbed small milkshakes and sat outside. We waited outside for maybe 5 minutes. We would give this place 10 stars if we could. The place was very clean and smelled more of coffee than dogs. 💕 also grabbed cute bandanas for our dogs.

They were so good with our nervous dog. She was calm and not at all anxious to leave when we arrived to pick her up. She got a shave, bath, nails and ears cleaned and it was both competitively priced and much better work than the last place we were taking her. We will definitely be back.

We just took our Mosai in for a bath for the first and LAST time, we are very disappointed. They said everything was fine, but as soon as he came out he was still wet! Hes a mastiff so there is not too much fur. They would charge extra to BLOW dry him so they did the towel dry, which an employee there said would be perfectly fine with his short coat. He still smells like a dog, hes wet, and hes whimpering. We are NEVER using yall again.

Cute establishment. They do between 40-100+ dogs a day! My dog went in for a full grooming - haircut & everything. She was done in less than 3 hours & looks great. My toddler had fun picking out a bandana for her. I didnt purchase any of their coffees or other drinks, but what a cool concept!

My fiancé and I were in town and he wanted to wash his beautiful Australian shepherd. We found this place and it was great. They got him right in to wash the dog and then I got an amazing cold coffee drink that was like a milk shake! It was wonderful!! Prices were great and staff was amazing!!

My sweet sweet dog will never return here. They told me that my dog was biting multiple staff members and it would take much longer. My dog is not an aggressive dog, let alone never bitten anyone EVER. He is half cocker spaniel and half King Charles cavalier. When we were checking out, the person at the desk wouldn’t even let dogs in the waiting area because he thought he was so aggressive 🙄. Sad to report that something clearly went wrong here for something like this to ever happen! Going elsewhere for grooming from now on...

Sophia had her first appointment at Perk N Pooch today, our fur baby is a Papillon- Shaye was her groomer who did an amazing grooming on Sophia! Also I was more than impressed with their attentiveness to both Sophia and us. This will certainly be our go too place for Sophia’s grooming!!!!!

Clean, friendly, effective, and polite. A little pricey, but you can tell they put in the effort to each and every dog that comes through their doors. Its honestly shocking because my dog always hated baths when I gave them to him at home yet he seems to adore this place. He runs to the doors every time we visit.

Let me start by saying that like most people I am OBSESSED with my dog and am extremely picky when it comes to his hair. Perk n Pooch is the only place I will take Yoshi now. They are extremely clean, located right near perimeter mall, and the staff is always super friendly. They are not the cheapest option but you get what you pay for. I did have one incident where my dog came home with some irritation on his skin, but when I called they were helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Julie, she is very sweet and always cuts his hair perfectly.

I love perk n pooch! It is one of the cutest dog grooming places. They have a coffee shop in there as well, with cute decor and you can look into the grooming area and check out all the dogs. I have even brought my cat here! Susan is the best! She trimmed his nails nicely and used deshedding shampoo!

Perk-N-Pooch is absolutely wonderful and I recommend their service to anyone looking for a great haircut for their pup! I decided to go with a more boutique groomer after a few bad experiences with more name brand grooming salons. The haircut they gave him is the best he has EVER had! And he is ten so that is a lot of haircuts.... They were so sweet and kind to him throughout the process and we will definitely be returning to them from now on. Not only was the haircut great, but my dog had a totally different demeanor coming out of the salon than he has at others (not terrified and trying to fight to get back to me), so I know they took great care of him throughout the whole process! Unfortunately we have not been happy at all with the services offered at perk-n-pooch. We have sent our dog three times and have been disappointed each time. They did a rush job each time, and my dog was miserable after each visit.

I took my dog here after Jack decided to dig a large hole....covered in dirt...it was really nice. Coffee was great and the girls are so nice. I loved how nice Jack smelt. But the next day he was covered in hives. I figured he was bit by something but when I put him in the bathtub to maybe soothe the welts oil and suds were everywhere. They used a lot of soap and didnt wash it out well enough. Again the service was great. Im only writing this to make people and the workers aware of the situation.

I needed to give my dog a bath and it was quick to make an appointment online and having the option of DIY is definitely a plus. Its also nice that they provide all the supplies you need for a bath. Will definitely return in the future if the dogs get too dirty.

My dog was not and is not in heat. It was plain laziness on a Friday evening. Like the three times before. Don’t see why that couldn’t simply ask me to bring her in earlier. Thanks.

We have been going here for years, and they have always done a great job. Yet its our most recent visit that has compelled me to write a review. We have a older German Shepherd and we get her deshedded, shaved all the way down, with her nails trimmed and teeth brushed. During this last visit she was a little anxious and they were so patient with her, taking as many breaks as she needed.

This is a Gods gift to those who have animals but do not have the capability of bathing their loved ones.THANK YOU for having the business mind of opining such a nice place with great staff.See you tomorrow. Great place. They are so patient with grooming my dog who hates the sound of clippers. This is the only place where the dog is groomed that he is happy afterwards. Other places left him very nervous. The staff do a terrific job and I would not go anywhere else.

Absolutely love this place! It has been our groomer for about 3 yrs. My doggies- Lucy (Lhasa Apso) & Sebastian (Bichon) are always excited to get groomed and look great each time! Even with 2 dogs, they are usually ready in about 3 hours or less.

Only been twice, but the service has been great. My pup was in and out in less than 3 hours.

Took my 2 dogs there today and it took 4 hours and 30 minutes for their baths - and I had reservations. Its overpriced and disorganized. Dont bother making a reservation as they take anyone and everyone who walks in. They treat the dogs well and the dogs come back clean but theyve grown too fast and dont have the proper management to handle the increase in size.There was nothing difficult about my dogs situation and to insinuate otherwise is disingenuous and Im not sure what it means to be put at the front of the cue - it took 4 hours and 30 minutes. The express wash says 30 minutes and the fluff and buff takes 2 hours. I stand by my comments that theyve grown too fast and dont have the proper management to handle the increase in size.

I did the DIY dog bath and the staff set me up with everything I needed. They even threw in a cute bandana after his wash! Had an Americano to drink too which was good! They offer various creamer options which I very much appreciate since Im non dairy. Overall, I enjoyed perk-n-pooch and I believe my lab did too although he has never really liked bathes!

I have a really fearful dog, we adopted him a year ago and while we do our best to socialize him, hes still a bit of a jerk when it comes to vet visits/grooming/things like that. So needless to say I was a bit nervous to take him to get groomed.Lexis did an amazing job. She was patient with him and didnt push him farther than he could go and we ended up getting his nails dremeled and bathed in about an hour and a half.If youre on the fence because you have a fearful dog, talk with them about it and let them know, because we will definitely be back again.

I stumbled upon this little shop one Saturday while out with my pup and have been coming here a few times now but I always use their DIY tubs, as I personally prefer the bonding time of bathing and grooming my dog myself. Every time my pup and I visit though, we are always treated wonderfully by the staff there, even if we show up and all of the stations are in use, they waste no time in adjusting things so that I dont have to wait long (if at all) for an open tub.I wish there were more locations like this, not just with proper bath equipment but with a grooming table and adequate dryer for you to use as well at a decent price.

This was the worst, most stressful experience I could have possibly had. And I paid $100 for it. Everything from the environment to the way he was tethered while being groomed was hideous. There are way too many dogs in one open environment, yapping, screaming, its no wonder all of them are a nervous wreck. It is SUCH a stressful environment. The size of the kennel they are held in while waiting is incredibly small. They were about to put my 65 pound dog in the same size kennel they had a toy terrier in. I was not about to have my dog wait in there, so I had him wait with me until they were ready. After the hour and a half bath, they brought him over to be groomed. Several times, he fell sideways off the table and was hanging in mid-air choking. If I hadnt been there I dont know if she could have caught the 65 pounds back onto the table. Lastly, in clipping his nails, she cut to quick on one of them, leaving it bleeding. Needless to say, I will not only NOT be back but Im so traumatized I dont know if Ill ever have my dog professionally groomed again. Ill do it myself, save him and myself the $100 and the added stress. I was SO looking forward to this experience and 3 hours later, I didnt know I could be SO disappointed in a business that was centered around dogs.Update: I have updated this review because the company offered me a refund and then after reading my review decided against it. Horrible customer service.Response to owner: Yes I wanted to sit with my dog being groomed because it was his first time being professionally groomed and you already had a very stressful environment. And thank goodness I was, because the way he was handled was not appropriate. Maybe you would have a few more bad reviews if people actually saw what was going on behind the scenes. Like the small terrier next to my dog, that was being choked to the pole, obviously irritated as the lady was jerking on its back legs trying to clip them. Or the sad boxer, held up in the kennel in the back that was obviously too small for him. Or the golden retriever whos whole body was shaking as he was being practically dragged to go back and get groomed. So yes I have high expectations for my dog being groomed, amid the many horror stories and deaths that are caused by unfit groomers everyday. So yes, I will continue to groom my dog myself. Save me the hundred bucks and the awful customer service. Thanks for nothing.

Brought my golden doodle there 3 times. the first two we received great service. the last time was a nightmare. they said they couldnt give her, her proper cut because she was too matted but she wasnt the matted at all they just didnt want to take the time to do it. they expressed her anal glands without my permission and there was feces all over her rear end when i picked her up. she was cut so low especially in her private areas and was given razor burn which effected her for a week when she would go to the bathroom. lastly, i think they may have waxed the inside of her ears and one ear was completely scabbed over and had dried blood in it. consider other groomers

They have the best customer service, they always rememeber my face and my order every time I order from the cafe. Or maybe I just go in there too much 😅 there groomers are hands down the best also

Second time bringing my dog here but this visit made me highly upset at the fact they sent my dog home with a bloody paw . My dog got blood all over my car and clothes and when I took her back they claimed they didn’t notice it than all of a sudden the story changed to they accidentally hit her vein on her duclaw when cutting her nails . They puppy groomed costed ) $75 . They should have compensated for the mistake of there staff because as much as it was bleeding she could have bleed out . It was still bleeding after they put blood stopper on it and they tried to make a bandage with tape and gauze.
