4 times my Prius hybrid battery was repaired and broke down. Mechanic Micheal was the one repaired my battery. This fraud business stopped answering my text or phone calls. SoCal wasted my time giving different dates and changing them for their personal agendas. I lost more money repairing the battery than getting a new one.A full scam house this business is. Please!!!!! Don’t do business with this you’ll be totally disappointed and spirit destroyed.

Poor quality Battery! went bad one month later had it back there for the same battery problem 2 more times Code P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack! Also had to wait weeks before each repairs where done! Its been 8 Months and still same problem I have to drive around with my scanner so I can clear the codes to drive it to work that sucks! Going to trade my car Inn for a Non Hybrid stay away from this place!

ZERO STARS! SAVE YOURSELF A HUGE PROBLEM AND DON’T GO HERE! They install faulty hybrid batteries. I had a 2 year warranty on the battery they installed in my Prius, however, the next battery they installed was bad too. Then they said it was not the fault of their battery and that it was the computer and they charged me another $700. My car still did not run properly. I took it to three other mechanics who ran diagnostic tests on it for me and they said it showed that the hybrid battery was bad. I then filed an online complaint with The Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Among many violations they found, Socal Hybrid never even wrote up estimates for me or gave me itemized invoices, which is a violation of the Bureau of Automotive Repairs’ rules. I trusted them and when they were contacted by the BAR they promised the investigator that they’d mail me my money back, but they never did! So, I will be taking Socal Hybrid of Santa Ana to Small Claims Court, and I will subpoena the BAR investigation report on them to show to the judge, since the BAR cannot force Socal Hybrid to give me my money back, only the Court can.

Have had 2 batteries replaced by SoCal Hybrid Repair. I have gone to them and have had them come to me. Good service both times. Prices are significantly lower than other places. Price quotes includes everything; no hidden fees.

So far so good... This place is by far the cheapest replacement in the region but I cant guarantee how long it will last but if it does happen within the warranty (2yr-18k )they replace it pretty fast. Had first fail in 3 days, (next day replacement) 150 miles a day avg. I drive . 2nd one so far on 3rd week no issues. I will ding one star for communications isnt really there and 2 bolts werent screwed in all the way for the bottom seat brackets afterwards (I took care of it). Beyond that so far so good!!!!

I had one of the greatest car services at this mechanic shop. They change my transmission oil and regulate it. They have really affordable price for their services. I appreciate all their hard work. They answered all my technical question and had a overall diagnosis on my car. If you are looking for a trustful and technical mechanic for your car, go to them. Place was pretty easy to find. The owner was straight forward with pricing and did the job fast. They use rebuilt batteries and parts and offer a 2 year or 18k mile warranty which is nice. So far the battery seems to be working fine.

Michaels seems honest at first but in the end I feel he should have told me that Toyota has extended the warranty for inverters to 15 years. It is difficult for me to believe that he did not know this. Please be aware that for 2010-2014 Prius Toyota has extended the warranty for the inverter to 15 years if all of a sudden you lose power and have issues with the hybrid system. Although Michael at first seemed very knowledgeable and told me that the battery warranty had been extended he did not tell me that the inverter warranty had been extended as well because of frequent failures. He charged me $700 for an old inverter when I could have gotten a new one from Toyota for nothing.

I called Michael and went over the lit lights on my dashboard. Michael and his partner came to my house to diagnose the problem and determined the hybrid battery was bad. My car was ready to go in less than 1 hour. He honored the current special of $575 for my 2005 Prius and gave me a 2 year warranty 18k miles. Highly recommend this shop over other shops that charge $300 with only 3mo and 3k miles warranty. Very friendly and prompt service. Thank You!

My car had some problems. I took it to Socal Hybrid Repair in Santa Ana. He replaced Hybrid Battery. They also repaired the vehicle very reasonable fees. I am very satisfied with their work. I am highly recommending everyone to give them a try. It is hard to find a good and reasonable repair shops around.

My 2010 Prius had some major issues so I was referred to Michael by a friend. Never meeting Michael, I towed my vehicle to him, we talked back and forth either through text or phone calls (his communication is awesome) and trusted his experience to take care of my car.After a new engine, water pump, hybrid batteries and a couple minor other items (including some I didn’t ask for but Michael completed without charging) my car is running like brand new and for a price that couldn’t be beat. I have 2012 Prius wouldnt start and I called socal hybrid to ask what to do. On the phone they recommended to put gas I did I Called Michael again and bring here(Sunday mid-afternoon) but they arranged to have their mobile repair come to my house next hoursThey came out this on time and replaced my battery. They did a great job! Super friendly, professional and clean. Pricing was completely fair & I really loved how they could come to my house instead of towing my car there.
