Only place to go for specialty hardware in orange county. They have reasonable prices and pretty much everything. A lot of cool stuff to browse as well.

I have been shopping at McFadden-Dale hardware for over 30 years... This makes me an old man. Regardless, I have always gotten the highest quality, American-made hardware and fasteners along with friendly faces and employees who are willing to help you, instead of hiding from you like they do at the big outlet. if I have to choose between home Depot and McFadden-Dale in Santa Ana Im going to pick McFadden-Dale every single time--even if it cost me a little bit more because the people know what theyre talking about, they help you, and you get what you need. Two thumbs up, five stars, and a happy face.

When I called them today based on the good reviews online, the person who answered the call not only couldnt listen carefully, but also kept on making me repeat my question. He seemed to know nothing about hardware. When I finally told him that I would repeat it one more time, he hung up on me. How rude? (If you ever call them, get the name of the person first. Employees of a good companies usually have their employees identify themselves first when they answer the call, but not this company. Their employees hide behind the scene, and dont want to do a good job thinking that nobody knows anyhow.)He probably thinks that they have already earned good reviews online that no one has to care about their customer services any more. Not so, as such a behavior must be disclosed. If they are truly good, then be good all the times, from inside out, to all customers, but not just good to some people sometimes until receiving good reviews from them, and then just forget about it totally. They have to be truly and consistently good, as a way of properly serving the public, at all times. I dont trust these reviews any more.Its good enough enough that I still gave it one star (as otherwise this wouldnt be posted) when they really deserve no star at all based on my experience.

Lets make hardware stores great again! I have been going to Mcfadden-Dale since I moved to Irvine 36 years ago. Not only do they stock everything, the product quality is excellent. Dont waste your time and gas going to the big box stores who basically sell high-profit margin junk.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!I would NEVER, EVER recommend this place for ANYTHING! Grainger is literally across the street. I ALWAYS try to support small business efforts and growth within my community HOWEVER, I can NOT support McFadden Dale. They treated me and even the person next to me in line like garbage.

This is a great shop. Has everything an engineer or a mechanic needs. Why go to granger and order in a catalog when you can actually go see and touch the stuff. Fair priced and friendly. Locally owned.
