Extremely thorough, professional, convenient, kind and friendly. So happy with my husbands and my experience here that Id recommend 10000 times and then again. Their ophthalmologist dept is the bomb and the selection of frames is impressive. My husband has a high bridge on his nose, they took their time to fit him properly and we never felt rushed. They helped us figure out our insurance coverage to get the best deal we could which speaks volumes to how excellent their customer service is. They are proactive instead of defensive for their customer service so you never feel that anything was missed or that you didnt ask all the right questions. In other words their customer service and doctors are thorough and when you leave you feel totally taken care of with out question and with peace of mind! I woke up with a sore and irritating eye on a Saturday morning, I didnt make an appointment, I walked in and even though they were busy they squeezed me in and I was taken care of in less than 30 min.The staff are very kind, respectful and helpful. Excellent optometry here. Great staff and technicians, and excellent ophthalmologists work here... Ive been a patient for over 10 years and I came in for a very specific eyesight issue (parts of my vision were doubling). The ophthalmologist I saw was able to figure out exactly what was going on and explained it perfectly.. Much to my relief, they had a simple solution, and I am very grateful for that. So, once I get new lenses for my glasses, my eyesight will be back to normal, and Im glad I made this appointment with Eye and Vision Care of Santa Barbara. They have kind and helpful staff and doctors, and I highly recommend them if you have a vision issue.

I am very satisfied with the level of service and detail from both the assistant and Dr. Chang. They took the time to check and recheck an area of concern. They were also very clean and sanitized every piece of equipment that was used during the exam!

I have been seeing Dr Nomura for eye care since he first opened his practice, which by my calculation was over 40 years ago. He has added many very qualified associates and assistants, many of whom Ive met or worked with. Many are long term employees which indicates their commitment to his vision of excellent patient care. I practiced for years as a periodontal surgeon in Santa Barbara and my vision was critically important in my career. The Doctors eye exams are very thorough and they take time in checking for the onset of any eye diseases or disorders and give timely referrals when required I have been wearing contact lenses for 60 years and my new lenses which are hard in the center and soft around the outside are my best ever!! I rarely get dust, etc under them. Dr Nomura worked with great patience and expertise in finding and fitting the best lenses for me and stuck with it until that goal was achieved. They have a great selection of glasses frames at many price points. They have done a great job at fitting me with backup glasses over the years as my prescription changed. I tried going to a lower prices places to get glasses of my prescription made one other time and it became very obvious in many ways that you get what you pay for. Eye and Vision care is TOPS!!

Dr. Corby made me feel like I was her only patient. My appointment wasn’t rushed and she took her time explaining everything. You can tell that Dr. Corby does what she does because she genuinely cares for her patients well-being. The entire staff is kind, courteous, patient and knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend Eye & Vision Care for anyone in need of knowledgeable, compassionate doctors in a well run, excellent staffed, clean and safe environment for vision care.

Dr Nokura was great and explained everything very well. The staff all know what theyre doing and it runs very smoothly. They fit me in on New Years Eve day and they were all very kind and helpful. Im changing from my old eye office to Eye and Vision Care.

Eye and Vision Care Center is absolutely the best place for all of your eye and vision care needs. The clinic is spacious. The aesthetics are very pleasing and the ambiance is quite relaxing even on the busiest days. The staff is amazing. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. I have been a customer since 2001 and have nothing but praise for my experience. The 7PM closing time on Thursday is a bonus. I am sorry this experience took place but having it acknowledged and taken into serious consideration makes me feel much better. Thank you Eye and Vision Care!I had what seemed like a pleasant experience getting contact lenses for the first time turn into a very disappointing and frustrating one. It was the bad attitude of the office staff and lack of communication regarding my contact lens order that made this so difficult.

I have seen Dr. Wood for the past few years and have had an excellent experience with her. She is personable, thorough and effectively communicates in lay terms what I need to know. She never seems as though shes in a rush, and is also very warm and friendly. My grade school age daughter has also been seeing Dr. Corby for the past few years. Shes also very thorough, efficient and is very gentle with her and has been very clear about her issues and course of treatment. I am extremely happy with both of these doctors.

My eye doctor spent a lot of time with me answering questions and giving me information. The staff was very friendly and even though it was my first visit, I liked them a lot. I told my husband about my experience and took him to the facility during their trunk show of eye glass frames and he was impressed too.

I had a great experience at Eye & Vision Care this week. Paperwork was a breeze and the comprehensive eye exam was completed within an hour. I came to Eye & Vision Care because they are in network for the vision insurance provided by my employer. My only surprise was that the whole exam cost $175-- I had been receiving the same comprehensive eye exam from other places in town for only $50. I would have liked to save some of that $175 to be able to apply more money towards the purchase of glasses under my insurance.Office staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the glasses selection is EXCELLENT. Youre nearly guaranteed to find something you like.

Been going here for over 10 years. Dr Luke is professional, patient and has helped me as I age and develop presbyopia. Because of my strong correction (very myopic), I am very particular that the prescription is written and made correctly - they have always delivered. Not the cheapest, and many times busy, but I will continue to go here.

Dr. Dawn Woods has been the family Optometrist since 1998, She continues to be extremely well informed on industry trends, changing technology, and new alternatives and options in eye care. No simple task in this very fast changing world. Dr. Woods and her staff at Eye & Vision are very caring and knowledgeable people. Wouldnt have stayed with any doctor for sixteen years if they werent extremely good, over sixteen years says it all.

My cataract surgeon in Los Angeles sent me to the Eye & Vision Care when I developed an unusual but serious problem which was correctly diagnosed by Dr. Luke Werkhoven. Thanks to his intervention I avoided cornea damage due to a toxic reaction to the cataract medications.My highest recommendations to him and Dr. Corby whom I also saw.

Was given a wrong prescription from two different doctors from two separate eye exams. Thought the fist one was just a fluke so I came back a few months later, explained to the other doctor what happened and he gave me a new prescription. Got my glasses changed to the new prescription and they still didnt work.

Super frustrating experience. Heres why I would not recommend this business: I ordered a pair of sunglass lenses back in 2015. It took THREE tries and a couple of months to get them right. The lenses kept failing inspection. Instead of an apology for the delay, I was told I had a challenging prescription and this happens a lot with your type of correction.So, hey, I believed this and returned in July 2018... this time for a pair of eyeglasses. The optometrist, Taka Nomura, was very thorough and answered the quick questions I had, but the appointment did take two hours... seemed a bit lengthy compared to the many other eye exams Ive had in my lifetime. But hey, no worries, and Im told my glasses will be ready in two weeks.Two weeks pass and I get a call saying my lenses did not pass inspection (hmmmm sunglasses de ja vu?) and it would be a couple more weeks to re-make the lenses. Two more weeks pass and I get a text message saying my glasses are in. I immediately go to the office and check in. Then I wait. And wait. AND WAIT. Finally, after more than one-half hour of listening to the four receptionists yuck it up, I ask whats up. Oh, werent you told were short staffed? was the reply. No, I wasnt told, and by the way, where is the SORRY in that response, I wondered. Well, since they couldnt give me a time estimate as to how long it would be (nor do they make pick-up appointments), I opted to leave and come back.I return a couple of days later and finally get my new glasses.... with the nice, new scratch on one of the nice, new lenses. Ummmm, quality control, anyone? So, Im told it would be two MORE weeks because the glasses had to be sent back to LA. (Really, no rush on my order, I just go to the back of the line, so to speak)?Well, a week passes and I get a text message saying my glasses are ready. I drive in for the THIRD TIME and I check in. After a lengthy wait, I was told that, no, my order was not ready, and no one there could figure out why I was sent a text message saying my glasses were ready. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?So, I ask to speak to a manager, and Im told that person is busy (of course). In short, when and if my glasses are ready, I will be forced to make a FOURTH TRIP to Goleta to pick them up. You can bet your 20/20 vision that I wont be recommending this place to anyone, and I wont be returning.

4 or 5 years ago I saw Dr. Nomura for an eye exam.He discovered degeneration in one eye and refered me toThe S/B eye clinic. Because he did so I was treated withlazer and eye shots and saved the vision in that eye.I amand allways will be very grateful to him.He and the staffare wonderful.

SCAM! I had an eyelash that needed to be taken out. It took 30 seconds and I got a bill for $277. DO NOT GO HERE
