I attended this bookstore a few weeks ago on a whim. I bought a gold chain and 2 crystals. I am pleased to say every single item I got was a beautiful addition to my life. Over the past few weeks my insomnia has dramatically decreased as a result (plus a number of other factors like mediating on the moon) of their crystals. But the 5 stars isn’t even about the quality of their products or the wide selection of books they own or even the cute little sculptures and deities they have or even the quiet and serene ambience they have going on. I’m giving them 5 stars because one of the employees seriously made my day. It was a young lady maybe in her late 20s or early thirties. I asked her a few questions about the crystal wands and how to care for the crystals and she was so helpful and educated I felt like just for her I would go back. Her passion and respect for the crystals really felt like Mystic Journey Bookstore attracts the right people. Her eagerness to help me made the entire experience a memorable one. So I definitely recommend stopping by here if you’re looking for a metaphysical shop to hangout in. I mean they even have an outdoor patio, absolutely divine.

Huge selection of books! They had many other things there as well such as gems, crystals, and other enchanted items. I really loved browsing through their selection of books and the people there were very friendly!

As far as these new-age stores go, this place is top tier. The owner of these stores takes much pride in finding some of the largest crystals I have seen and places them beautifully to create some true masterpieces. The selection of books covers vast genres and topics.

This bookstore was really wonderful. It was quiet, peaceful, calming and educational. They have a wonderful collection of incredible books on subjects that heal the soul and open the mind. When your finished browsing the books, you can take a walk through the store and be mystified by the collection of Crystals and Stones...The one thing that really made me comfortable was the sales staff. They did not hound you as you walked around the store, but when you had a question they were right there. I wish I didnt live so far away, I would be in this store all the time...❤

Go to the back of the store and ring the sound bowls. This shop has one of the best selections of metaphysical books. They also offer psychic readings with people at the top of their craft. Tarot/past life healing/ astrology readings.

Love this place. Ive been wanting to go in for a long time and my friend randomly stopped to get a book. They have crystals, notebooks and incense as well, which I love. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I wish there was a little more objects/decor but overall I love the selection! I live closeby so Ill definitely come back!

I was here for the first time for a special event I co-produced. I brought the famous Mitchell hedges Crystal Skull to Los Angeles and Im very impressed by this location. It is a beautiful space filled with amazingly gorgeous and resonating crystals and artifacts of beautiful quality. The owner, Jeff, is a charming and heartfelt individual who is very proud of this location, very kind and seemingly great integrity. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the space is one that I would love to utilize again! I would encourage everyone to come visit if you love gems and crystals. The energies here are truly to be admired!

Great selection of books and Stones some really heavy and fine grade, that could be placed at as decoration in your house or office, that Im sure would change the vibes and energy in the place. Some smaller stone selections are bought with some necklaces to use as an accessory besides beaded bracelets.Great selection of candles and Sage.They offer some services at certain times and days as well as workshop switch I would love to try out.They also have to some reflexology charts and healing tips for your diet.

Love the place. Has a great healing vibe. I usually spend hours here! A good selection of decks, crystals, books, incense and witchy tools.Parking is terrible. But the street has loads of places to visit to enjoy a bite to eat. I usually make a day of it!

Good woo-woo for you. Wish the Buddhist section was bigger, and included more books from the South Asian traditions. (East Asia and Tibetan are pretty well represented.)

My favorite metaphysical bookstore in Los Angeles!! From the minute I walked in the door I felt at home. They have curated an excellent selection of books, tarot card decks, journals, crystals, inspirational coffee mugs and crystal pendulums. If I had an unlimited budget, Id buy almost everything in there, its that good. There are lovely spots to sit and grab a book or in my case, multiple books to get a reminder of my purpose. Ive gone to so many good workshops at Mystic Journey. It attracts world class spiritual teachers so you cant pick a bad event. I wish I lived closer to it because Id be going there daily, thats how much I love MJB.

I love buying gifts for friends there...the jewelry alone is worth the visit. They have a large collection of spiritual metaphysics books. Love the Ambience and aroma of soy candles ...Sweet people work there and they have various Readings and classes.

Really wanted to come shop here but they closed 20 mins before store hours claim. Apparently, they’re open until 8 pm.

This book store has a variety of books for onee esoteric and alternative healing needs. They also carry esoteric and healing paraphernalia such as incense, crystals, Oracle and tarot cards which are a little bit overpriced though considering its location most of its population will consider typical. They also have psychic, astrology and tarot card readers, again at a costly price. They have a beautiful reading room with huge crystals, you can feel the energy just being inside that room. It would be perfect if they had a biocharger in that room also.

Cool place... great books and crystals. Lots of interesting events. However the staff is not the most knowledgeable when it comes to crystals. Definately worth checking out while there. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on what day and time you go.

Really fun space. They have a stunning display of museum grade crystals that are both incredibly beautiful, but also very active energetically (if youre interested). Great feel, and friendly staff.

Very cool bookstore with a really peaceful atmosphere. They have a few crystals but if thats what youre looking for, hit up the crystal store about a 15 minute walk away!

Mystic journey has tons of great books, however the crystal collection and candles etc are quite over priced. Although that’s kind of abbot Kinney’s style. They have a lot of amazing books that you can’t really find in other stores and they provide a lot of help with finding a book too, which makes for a great specialty shop experience. Is definitely go back if I was looking for a new age book.

Frankly, I wish it would offer more than religious and spiritual books. I walked in hoping to chill with a nice story, and was met with spirit crystals and religious books. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re looking to read on spirituality.

Great idea for a store especially on Abbot Kinney since theres nothing else to buy there... go and peruse through some books to kill time... itll only take you about 20 minutes to walk up and down Abbot Kinney so then youre going to wonder why youre there and to kill more time I say hit the bookstore

Sunday mornings at 11am the patio of Mystic Journey Bookstore is my favorite place to be for the weekly INTRO TO ACRO YOGA WORKSHOP. Great people, fun energy share. I highly recommend this to those who love to exercise with others.

Pretty pricey in my opinion, and their witchcraft book selection was pretty limited. Not a good selection of tarot decks either. But generally good vibes and nice staff.

Came here for a past life regression group with Jeroen de Wit and it was a phenomenal time! I love he energy of this space so much. They have any spiritual ascension tool you can think of. I even picked up a Super 7 Crystal which is extremely hard to find. Love the vibes 💜

I like this place alot I have autism spectrum and Im a spiritual person people can be rude to me cus of my social skills everyone here is kind gifted souls with no judgement they have great crystals, candles and other spiritual stuff here these people have great engery very friendly and its a nice place to check out .

Wonderful selection of Oracle and Tarot cards, all of which you can open and see. Such a great idea for selling decks; I wish more places would do it. The crystal and stone selection was extensive and the books were well displayed.

Crystals and books can be found just about anywhere in the greater Los Angeles area, but one thing that keeps me going back to Mystic Journey Bookstore, is the personality. Now, dont get me wrong, the crystals on display/sold there are amazing. But, whats a store, if the folx behind it all dont follow suit? I can honestly say that Mystic Journey Bookstore is a shop like no other. From the approachable, humorous, and helpful folx that work on the floor, to the beautiful space and the array of weekly events they held there. (Many lot of them are free, or a small donation.)Ive had a few readings here. I wont go into detail about them, but I will say that I am no longer a skeptic.

I will never call this bookstore again. Psychics r rude and judgmental. I honestly never had to deal with this in other place.I have read with Krista several times. Initially she was great but then she started to have an attitude with me. I dont know why bc I have always treated her with the utmost respect.Last time I called the reading was at 2.30pm. I called and they told me she said she was on a break.I am very upset bc my older dog is ill. I called her back bc in the previous reading she told me he was going to be fine and live longer. This time she tells me she did not know if he was going to go end of the year. It wasnt the bad news that got me upset bc I understand psychics can only see so far but the way she was saying things like hey its his time to go almost laughing about vs being compassionate. Then she way saying how animals r.Im not calling a psychic to find out how animals r nor I am calling someone to tell me to behave bc no one tells me that.I am very respected in my life. I just go through the ups and downs of life as a human being. I dont expect anyone to tell me about the world but a little compassion would have been definitely nicer.Will never call this place again. I agree with other reviews. Theres just a bad vibe.

Been to rock and gem shows/shops around the U.S. This shop was a disgrace. The selection was standard, but the prices were absurd. I could get a kg for the price that you charge per piece. Not only are you folks turning a huge profit off yuppies who dont know what theyre doing, you guys are equally as inexperienced. I will say you have quite a book selection, but even then the prices... 0/10 would not bang. ever.
