I had a really wonderful experience with Lorenzo. He was really kind, and super knowledgeable. He helped me find a great pair of shoes that support my flat, narrow feet. It’s so hard to find shoes! He even helped me find some socks for plantar fasciitis, and they really help. My feet (and knees!) already feel better!!!!This place is great, they can also make you custom arch support inserts in minutes, and the selection of shoes are very nice. Great staff.I’ll definitely be coming back for more shoes, I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Road Runner Sports is a must to visit store if you are in any kind of out door or indoor activities. They help you with the shoes buying like you are VIP. The store in Santa Monica was recommended by my friend who is always shopping there. I have to agree the customer survive is amazing. Eileen helped me to pick hiking and running shoes. I am super happy with my purchase. Also if you become a member you get 10% off and return shoes that didn’t work for 90 days. Love it. Highly recommend!

I went there to get a pair of running shoes. Ruben patiently listened to me, examined my feet on a device and found out that I need stability (rather than neutral) shoes. He brought many options, let me try them and run on their treadmill. He was very patient and knowledgeable, and even gave me one of their snack samples to test. I love the shoes and extra insoles I got, feel like Im running on the clouds! Will definitely go back there, and highly recommend!

Went into Road Runners in Santa Monica literally three minutes before they closed and felt like such a jerk. I have terrible Achilles problems from overuse and couldn’t take another day with my shoes. The sales team didn’t bat an eye, recommended an amazing pair of shoes and great supportive socks. So far so good, but I was so impressed by their professionalism. I remember working in retail and eye-rolling to death when people did that to me. They were completely unaffected, took their time, and were thoughtful and thorough. Well done, team!

Ruben helped fit me for new shoes and custom insoles. When I came in I had just started running with a group and my right foot was in a ton of pain. The custom insoles alone have totally resolved the issue (I can use them in my existing shoes and my foot feels fine!) and I also found really comfy new shoes I love. Super pleased with the experience. He was really patient while I took forever to meticulously try tons of pairs out on the treadmill and was kind and attentive the whole time. Went in to get new running shoes to alleviate my foot pain. Even though I had not made an appointment, the store was well staffed and I was immediately helped. Lorenzo listened to my needs and gave me a detailed analysis of my gait. He gave me recommendations but not once did I feel pressured to buy anything. Lorenzo checked in with me often, and at the same time gave me space and time to try out all my options. I was so happy when I left the store. I know I’ll be going back the next time I need new shoes and referring friends and family there.

Buying running shoes for my 6’2” grandsons as a Birthday gift. Wanted to get it right because happy feet happy person!!! He picked out shoes, sox, fitted for custom insoles for support, we joined the store program allowing us to return (w/in 90day) if the shoe isn’t working for him plus a discount for all family visiting any store. Sam was our sales person and was on his job- very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time necessary to get us well taken care of, om ma busy Saturday. I had a phenomenal recent experience at Road Runner Santa Monica. Despite it being a busy Saturday, an employee still brought me a tireless number of shoes to try on. After I finally found a good pair, he taught me a lacing technique I’d always wanted to know but was too confused to try. I love RR and this experience really cemented why.

Best experience shopping for running shoes! We booked a reservation for a foot scan and walk test. The store associate was very knowledgeable about the shoe brands and which ones were the best fit for my particular feet and gait. The custom insole process was quick and easy. I walked out with a pair of shoes that felt like they were designed just for me. Really happy with my purchase!

This was probably one of the best retail/customer service experiences I’ve had. It’s a great store, but not gonna lie, I went in there yesterday to buy shoes and the customer service was absolutely horrendous lol the girl helping me was very nice but I was trying to get help picking the correct shoe and kept asking questions/ advice/ recommendations/anything, and she had no information whatsoever, it was really frustrating so I ended up sitting on the bench in the store googling running shoes for 30 min. It was very frustrating when I went there hoping to speak to someone with some knowledge of running shoes. I don’t mean to come off as one of those Karen’s lol but it was truly terrible. I got zero help. She was nice though! Just gave no help 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am a loyal customer of Roadrunner, only shop here for running shoes.TIP IF YOURE BUYING INSOLES AND SOCKS FROM STORE: I recommend you run in new shoes with insoles and socks in the store before you buy. Insoles and thick socks (bought them from roadrunner) push your toes to the front of the shoe, might have to go a half size up than the recommended shoe size or buy a shoe that has a wider toe box...?

Reuben at the Santa Monica store is awesome. We were there yesterday and he fitted my niece with a great walking sheo. My niece called me today and she loves the shoe and is extremely happy. I have bought two pairs of shoes from Reuben, my sister-in-law bought a pair, and now my niece. Pretty soon the entire family will be fitted for a new shoe. I’d recommend Road Runner to anybody looking for a wide variety of running shoes and gear. When you go, make sure to see Ben! He was extremely helpful! He immediately greeted me, asked me what my needs were then he had me stand on a machine that scanned the size, shape, and arches of my feet. Then he had me go on the treadmill to observe my stride and my form, to narrow down the best shoes for me. He then brought out a few pairs and had tremendous patience while I took my time to figure out my best option. I ended up purchasing 3 pairs of Hoka Clifton 7’s at a great price! Than you, Ben!

My experience with this store is mixed... If you go in knowing what you want, youll come out with a good deal and a great pair of shoes. Love that you can test on the treadmill. However, if you show even a hint of doubt or indecisiveness, the sales staff will work as hard as possible to push into your cart custom insoles (which most people dont actually need), socks, and anything else they can think of. Very pushy staff – when going to a specialty running store, Id expect advice on different types of shoes, based on my running habits, etc. This is just not it.

Store had no air-conditioning doors were closed suffocating with my 😷 on and had to be fitted for my shoes which was a lengthy process after my purchase I was more than happy to leave this store. Staff was very professional but please get your ac fixed asap.

Since the pandemic started I started to walk tens of miles on road and off road. My old shoes were not doing the job any more and I started to suspect that I might have plantar fasciitis. Long story short I set my eyes on Hoka but I wasn’t knowledgeable to decide until I met Ruben! Ruben not only helped me with the choice of shoes (which ended up being Hoka Speedgoat) but also explained very knowledgeably and logically how I stand what the issue is and perfectly molded new insoles to help with my plantar fasciitis. Ruben is truly a gem and I will keep coming back to him! I’m sure I’m going to need a new pair in few months! Thanks Ruben!

I received EXCELLENT customer service from Glen, one of the Supervisors there.They have a really cool machine to determine the proper type of shoe based on your fit shape, have you walk fast on a treadmill where they video how you, then explain your gait in real time & slow motion.He also custom fit insoles as I work standing most of the day on hardwood floors.Based on that, he had me try on 6 different shoes, then the best fitting pair with the custom insoles.Easily the best experience Ive ever had fitting shoes.Bought the shoes, custom insoles, & 3 pairs of dryfit socks.I paid $20 for the VIP Family deal which netted about $30 in savings.I wasnt even planning to buy shoes today... but REALLY glad I stopped in.I normally recommend Superfeet insoles to my patients (which Roadrunner carries) but for a little bit more, their custom insoles are worth the $.I ALWAYS recommend buying shoes for running/ walking and/or training from TRUE running stores like Roadrunner & Run With Us & NOT generic shoes stores like Foot Locker nor Amazon/Zappos as it makes all the difference in the world to get the proper fit for our feet. Theyre our foundation & help to minimize knee & back pain.Cheers!DocMikeChiro

Easy in and out

Not a good experience for shoes or customer service. I decided to try this place due to their fancy process and good reviews. I was hoping that their process would help me select shoes that would save some wear and tear on my joints. However, the shoes caused more joint pain and shin aches than any others I had had before. I thought maybe I needed to get used to them but even after a couple months of use I would still get pains.At the time of buying the shoes, the salesrep also told me he would make sure my VIP membership wouldnt auto-renew. Skip forward a year and I see a charge on my card for VIP membership renewal. Ive tried calling the cancellation line 3 times, but it just keeps hanging up on me.Overall, it was a pretty bad experience, although maybe I just got unlucky with my salesrep.

Lorena was a life saver for me. I was having trouble finding the right shoe. The prior brand I was so loyal to changed the fit of the shoe, which left me unable to find a shoe with the right fit for my foot. I returned two pair of shoes because of the fit. This past Saturday I returned to try and different pair of tennis shoes. Lorena assisted me in finding the right shoe. She was patient, listened to my needs and did not rush me. After trying on several pairs of shoes Lorena suggested I try a brand that was simular to the brand I use to wear. She was correct, the shoe was perfect and solved the fit problem!!!! Lorena was great and I will continue to shop for my running shoes at that location. P.S. Overall great staff!

Like the time machine from Doctor Who, this store is bigger on the inside. It is great for all your fitness related needs. Occasionally they will also host small events in partnership with businesses in the community. It is very clean and organized with extremely helpful staff members.

First time in a pro running store. (Gerrod?) I forget his name, but he was very helpful explaining what kind of shoe I should use based on a series of tests he ran using a weight scale and treadmill recordings. Would definitely recommend.
