Dr. Ito, Dr. Fuentes and and the entire staff are all so amazing! I went through most of my life without lenses/glasses because I didn’t think I needed them. Until Dr. Ito was able to diagnose me properly and fit me into the best contact lenses. Such a huge game changer when you can finally see shapes and colors for what they really are without having to squinch your eyes!

It is a wonderful place to satisfy all of your eye care needs. Dr. Ito has been my eye doctor for almost 30 years. She is very knowledgeable and very experienced. The office has all the latest diagnostic equipment and all the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I am so happy I found Ocean Park Optometry. I drive all the way up from San Diego just to visit this office. They were able to diagnose my Binocular Vision Dysfunction and offer me prism lenses which have drastically improved the quality of my life by now longer being dizzy or experiencing visual vertigo. Arvin especially has been so patient and communicative whenever I have questions or issues with me glasses. I also find it very relieving that they take COVID precautions so seriously. It makes me feel safe coming in for visits. Love that they seem to always have the latest technology and diagnostic tools. Can’t recommend enough!

I’m still new to the area but I’m so pleased with the overall stellar customer service of the team at Ocean Park Optometry, I always feel welcomed there with their knowledgeable team. I went for my first eye exam with them in May in the midst of Covid, and they were so thoughtful and conscientious of every customer from the initial phase of scheduling the appointments and making it a seamless process to greeting you at the door; and the selection of frames are better than any large chain. They’re the best hidden treasure in Santa Monica.

They are also very thorough in their examinations & have always offered a very wide variety of vision products & solutions. I had such a wonderful visit! The staff was so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgable. I had not had an eye exam in years and they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I am so appreciative of their time and care.

Honestly I am blown away by the customer service here. They sent me reminder/confirmation texts and a digital form to fill out before to run all my info by the time I walked in the door. A lovely lady was waiting for me at the door with hand sanitizer ready to take my temp and I barely waited one minute before my exam was ready. All equipment is high tech and the doctor was ready for me once I did the tests, for her to finish. The second my tests were done, Louisa escorted me to the front to go over insurance options and costs. They have a wide array of trendy frames and clean each one after try-on. Once I found my pair Louisa helped me check out and we had a lovely conversation. I was in an out so fast with not a minute wasted. So impressed with OP optometry and can’t wait to pick up my glasses in 2 weeks!

5 full thumbs up to the guys and gals at Ocean Park! They a wonderful, patient and caring team that will get your Optometry needs done right. Covid protols were on point, plentiful of parking and you can test out your new glasses by the beach less then a few mins away down on venice 😀For me i had a more specialized condition that needed to be explored which was binocular vision dysfunction (BVD) amongst other vestibular type issues. These guys are one of the very few that specialize with neurological/vestibular type vision issues with neurolens. If you feel dizzy, eye strain, dry eyes and other similar symptoms, it might be your eyes. I knew my eyes had to be checked based on my symptoms and the testing was non-invasive, very specific and lengthy (which is good). I picked the SALT glasses as they are handcrafted in japan albeit a bit pricey but worth it! They also addressed and reimbursed my charges from a service that I didnt end up using with no problem.Thanks Dr. Ito, Luiza, Javier and the rest of the team for assisting with me

Everyone is helpful and extremely knowledgeable. All of my results were explained completely, and I was prepared for each procedure as it began. I was in and out in record speedy. I was also extremely pleased with all of the precautions taken to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am so pleased with the service at Ocean Park Optometry! I highly recommend them!

What an amazing experience, everyone was super nice and helpful. They checked my temperature, they gave me hands sanitizer for me to keep, they are very cautious and I totally appreciate that.Ti was very comfortable there and they saw me promptly.... everything was superb but my favorite was Antoinette; I talked to her on the phone when I was there and she has this amazing voice, very professional and friendly... I felt very safe, it was very clean, and they put new systems in place so I was able to get the care I needed. This is the best optometry place I know. I started going here when I worked in Venice. Ive retired several years ago but still go to Santa Monica from North Hollywood. Ive tried other places in the valley but no one can compare.

I’m very impressed with this place. The staff is well informed and they were very patient and good humored with all my questions during the testing part. Their clear answers were both refreshing and comforting . I especially like Dr. Ito. She has a nice, low key, honest approach to her work. She clearly loves what she does and is very good at it. I am very picky about my glasses. It took me awhile today because they have so many choices. Javier kept smiling and told me it was not a problem and for me to be happy with my choice. He even went into his computer to find the exact size I needed. Dr. Fuentes did my eye exam. She was thorough and explained everything to me and answered my questions I had. The whole experience was easy and professional. They’re taking plenty of steps to help stop the spread of Covid-19 while still making the process personal. Great all around customer experience for my first and certainly not my last visit.

The eye exam was pretty basic and the experience felt similar to that of lens crafters or other big name glasses stores. Unfortunately I will not be coming back because they “couldn’t give me my pupil distance unless I had on their frames”. In the past I’ve got strange looks from some doctors when I asked for it but this is the first time I’ve ever been refused it.

Going to Ocean Park Optometry and working with Dr. Ito and her Staff was a wonderful experience. We especially enjoyed working with Arvin who made everything easier when picking out frames, sizing lenses, discussing options--he answered all of our questions. Exam process was quick and painless. Worthy of 5* easy. Although the pre-exam pressure to pay for extra tests probably deserves a half star reduction.Process of purchasing frames by far the worst I have had in 20+ years doing so.After selecting some frames I was given a quote far above what I expected. When I asked for a cost breakdown I got the run-around, and then some sideways talk about how they could lower the price. Which they did without me asking them to.I should have walked out then and there. Bad on me for paying. The frames I ended up with are easily now both the most expensive and yet cheapest I have ever owned.Incredibly disappointing and worse, stressful experience.Make sure you know exactly what you are getting, and sacrificing in your choices here, which is hard with a sales staff that avoids directly answering questions.

Ive been seeing Dr. Ito for nearly nine years and I couldnt be happier. She and her staff have consistently been professional, thorough and informative. After wearing glasses for most of my life because contacts were never comfortable, she helped me find lenses that work with my dry eyes, and provided treatment to moderate the underlying problem. The price of my contacts and non-prescription sunglasses have been competitive with online retailers, which was a pleasant surprise.

Great staff! Very friendly. I was only curious as to why I got the floor model frames when I chose them. Is that a regular practice? I thought it was weird to get frames that others have probably repeatedly tried on. Then pay full price for those frames. I’m not used to buying glasses, so I wasn’t sure if that was a thing.

Kind people who are there to help you, work with your insurance and not to sell you eyeglasses. Dr. Ito explains everything so well, she is a true pro and her office helpers are excellent. I love this place and am glad to recommend it.

I originally found Dr. Sarah Itos practice well over 10 years ago. I was pleased at the time with the services, but took a recommendation from a family member to try another optometrist in recent years. I did, however, I soon realized that I had made a terrible mistake. When I had the need to renew my prescription I made an appt. here and the moment I walked in I felt a great sense of relief and familiarity. The atmosphere is even better than I remember and the new remodeling is beautiful. Every staff member is friendly, open and helpful. And, Dr. Ito is delightful, personable, extremely professional and knowledgable. I was take care of quickly and feel so glad to be back! I highly recommend Dr. Ito and her practice... they are true local gems.

It take about 2 weeks or more to make appointments but staff and the doctors are extremely pleasant. They have advanced equipment for diagnostics.

There was a Fathers Day sale and it was a little busy.But I was seen promptly.I have a big head, so the selection is low no matter where I go.They have people who are friendly and helpful.No one really had any suggestions for me.I had an eye exam and I was seen promptly. Not much of a wait.A lot of staff for a tiny space. Maybe just for that day.

Dr. Ito and her staff are the best. I am nearsighted and 40+ - Other eye doctors would correct my vision with contacts so that I could see far away, but that messed up my vision for reading close up. Dr. Ito figured out a prescription that allows me to see far away AND close up without reading glasses! Yay! For that alone, I am forever grateful to her, but top that off with a staff that is super helpful and nice, short waiting times and state-of-the-art equipment - its a really pleasant experience going here. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great eye doctor.

I had an acute episode of eye pain and they were able to accommodate me immediately. The staff and doctor were very professional, quickly diagnosed me correctly and gave me the proper advice and treatment, as confirmed by my optholmolgist the next day. Would highly recommend. The pharmacy next door was also very convientent.

Dr. Ito is fantastic, and so is the staff at Visionworks. Ive never had a better experience in a doctors office - its always quick, and informative, and the office and equipment is top notch - I wont go anywhere else to get my eyes checked!

Dr. Sarah Ito and her staff are very friendly and great, they make sure you are being helped. I got an appointment the same day and I was a new patient. After two years of not having an eye exam I found out that a previous doc had given me a wrong prescription. Thank you Dr. Ito! The other good thing about this place is that they do not pressure you to pick out frames the same day. While I was in the office the lady at the front desk was kind enough to take pictures of another patient trying on different frames so she could send to her mom. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new eye doc.

Would not re-check my prescription which was clearly wrong. Now have three pairs of glasses with wrong prescription and have to start all over with new doctor after they burned up all my insurance. If you dont buy their OVERPRICED glasses they shame you. Horrible.
