I started wearing glasses since I was 9 and now Im in my 30s, so lets just say Ive seen plenty of optmetrists (from school providers, to private offices, to Costco opt, & medical offices). Sunny is by far my favorite and the one I plan to stick with. Called to make an appointment and staff was efficient, got something onto my calendar seamlessly. As soon as I walked in a week later, I can tell how much pride Dr. Sun has for her office. Office shone radiantly and all the shelves and cases were spotless. Definitely not the dingy offices Ive experienced and particularly important during covid times. Staff was pleasant, checked me in and minutes later I was met by Dr. Sun. Dr. Sun is very personable and VERY thorough. I was concerned about an eye condition that I could have inherited, and she recorded my med history and went into great length on explaining which equipment and how she will monitor/potentially diagnosis me for this. I never felt rushed during the process and I left knowing Im in capable hands in the long run.Btw, if youre looking for trendy, in fashion glasses, this is the place to be. They have the newest frames and they can customize lens. Since Im near-sighted in one eye and far in the other, one of my lens is always thicker. Dr. Sun recommended me a thinner type lens to help balance them out. Also added blue light protection since Im on the computer all day.

Sunny Optometry is a wonderful optometry office in Santa Monica. Doctors here are amazing! The staff there is super nice and always providing great service and attention to their customers. I havent done an eye exam in a few years and the whole process at Sunny office was very easy and fun and painless. I picked out my glasses with the help of the staff. Didn’t have to wait to see the doctor or to be helped by the staff! The glasses are great and I think my vision is so much clearer than before. Highly recommend Sunny Optometry!

Having been a long-time patient of Dr Weintraubs I was hesitant to go to a new eye doctor so it took me some time before I went to see Dr. Sun and after seeing her for the first time this last week I cant believe there was any hesitation. The staff was wonderful, very kind and helpful and Dr. Sun herself was GREAT! She is super smart and it was clear that she took the time before my exam to read through my files, so shed be familiar with my history before we even met. Im so glad I went to see her and cant wait for my husband to go see her!

It was a very efficient, expert exam. I felt confident with Dr Sun and she patiently answered all my questions. For someone who doesnt like going to the eye dr I was very pleased with the experience. The staff was also patient and nice.

Dr Sun is a fantastic doctor! She is extremely thorough, kind and professional. I know I’m getting the best possible care with Dr Sun. She follows up to make sure problems are emoticons and her staff is friendly!

I wish I could give no stars. They charged me 85$ for an exam even though my insurance covered it. They charged me 190$ for a second prescription and attempted to inflate the bill with enhancements I didnt request, totaling 800$. I was told I would receive a receipt via email. I didnt receive one. When I called the office they said they were too busy. Do not go here. There are hundreds of others to choose from.

Dr. Sun took the time to carefully figure out why my vision was off despite measurements that essentially showed no change. She was like a good scientist, tracking down every possibility until we found the solution.

This place really has it together! The peeps at the front desk are extremely attentive, helpful and refreshingly nice. The doctor is very gentle, precise and thorough in everything he did with me. Amazing!! I’m so glad I got this referral.

Update: They refunded the charge after reading my review.They charged me $40 for a retinal scan that wasnt covered by my insurance. They did not warn me beforehand that it wouldnt be a covered procedure. They even got my insurance information beforehand and should have known. I argued with the front desk lady but they would not refund the procedure. I wouldnt have agreed to the retinal scan should I have known I would have been charged extra. They are in-network with my insurance provider VSP.

Needed contacts for a last minute emergency while on vacation. The staff was very accommodating and courteous! They helped me out and I am forever grateful!!! Highly recommend this office!

Very disappointed. Bought new frames but they neglected to take measurements and I had to return to have this done.
