Awesome!! Love my new scooter!! And they are so helpful with getting you going!!

I had been exploring purchasing a small scooter i.e. 50CC.I explored many different cycle/scooters dealerships around Venice, Sarasota area over a couple of weeks.Background my reason for 50CC was so I would not have to go through the motorcycle license procedure.The last dealership I had on my list was Sarasota Mopeds and Scooters. Almost immediately when I walked in, I had a feeling of comfort. Dont know what that means except the enthusiasm and friendliness from Alex was contagious.I explained what I had been looking for and what my concerns were with the 50CC speed on Rt 40 etc. Alex understood what my issues were and suggested going do to the Ride and Paddle scooter rental company where I could get a feel for the different sizes and speeds. Great idea!I went to Ride & Paddle Siesta Key and got all setup to go and a downpour came falling canceling my rental. The good that came out of it was I was now able to talk to the proprietor who knows scooters and my concerns and issues. He was very insightful and had no dog in the fight as far as what I would purchase and convinced me that yes, I could ride the 50CC on the roads/streets, but I probably would not be comfortable with cars zipping past me going 35 mph top end.I returned to Sarasota Mopeds & Scooter to take a look at the 150CC scooters. As I walked in Alex and Walt were putting a 2021 Wolf Sport Edition EX-150. Walt went over the highlights & features of the scooter I felt good about going forward to make the purchase.Now that I was upgrading to a 150CC Alex recommended Ride Safe off Fruitville Rd. GREAT SUGGESTION!!After completing the course I came back to Alex who filled out all the forms to complete the transaction (plus $185.00 credit from taking the course) and within 48 hours Walt delivered the scooter.Have had a great time zipping around on my wolf sport.Thank you Walt and Alex

Supposedly all these reviews have been automatically checked for veracity by some kind of computer algorithm, but it cant be a very smart one. Otherwise it would have twigged to the fact that almost every positive review is written with exactly the same level of English competency (surprising lack of spelling and grammatical errors, near perfect punctuation and capitalization, and with the same uniform writing style, phraseology and idiosyncrasies. Its almost like the same person wrote most of these reviews, rather than the usual hodge-podge of illiterates, semi-literates, ESL speakers, scholars and English majors.

I drove over an hour from my home to do business with these people because their love for what they do came through over the phone. They got me the right machines, answered every question, walked me through every detail, stayed attentive and patient with me and earned the sale. They stayed well past closing getting the pair of scooters prepped and dialed in then loaded them and showed me how to properly secure them for transport. These guys are top-notch. My new scooter was feeling sluggish and just wasnt performing the way it was a few months ago when I bought it. Even tho he was busy he still made me a priority, got me right in and did a 500 mile tune up, changed all fluids, cleaned my carb, my Wolf Blaze is running better than it ever has, Im hitting 45 on a 50cc. Just feels right. Alex is amazing support for the shop, and Im so glad I found a place that I can trust, that alone is so valuable.

I live in the Sarasota area and was looking for a scooter to drive around at the University of Florida. My parents decided to check out Sarasota Mopeds and Scooters and we are really glad we did! Everyone is super friendly and explained how everything works. This is the best place to go if you are looking for a scooter! I use my scooter everyday and I am on the softball team at UF so we are constantly on the go and having a scooter is definitely the easiest way to get around campus.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with any type of customer service cut me off several times over a phone call and hung up the phone on me. Have been dealing with them for weeks and every time I would leave a voicemail or was told I would be called back I would never receive a call back had my scooter for several weeks before I had decided to call and was let know they could not find the part I needed themselves which I’m sure they knew sooner then that but I have never received a call from them about any information I had to call every time to know anything. And finally the thing that topped it all off was my scooter had about 2 problems total before I brought it there and after I got it back to broke down completely immediately after I left their shop gave them a call and they said they could fix it the next day but when I called the next day Walt was “not there” which I find really strange because he seems to not be there a lot. I would put zero stars if that was an option because this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company ever. Extremely rude, impatient, and highly strung very very disappointed.

I bought my scooter immediately. Walt got her road ready and patiently explained everything I needed to know. Dont waste your time with the other places; they dont even come close. They have fantastic reviews for a reason.

Review past due - Brought a problematic 2013 Vespa LX 50 to SMS in July after failed repairs at two other shops including selling dealer. Walt is super knowledgeable and methodical in his approach. Carb issue solved and repair cost was very reasonable. Good shop and people to deal with.

I was in and out quickly. They were very courteous and answered all of my questions. They had just received a shipment of new scooters, put it together and tested it for me. I was able to pick it up later that day. Could not have asked for better service.

Easy 5 stars. Came in in the morning to get some service done and was in and out in about an hour with what felt like a whole new machine. These guys are honest, very knowledgeable, and efficient. They got every part you need and then some, and for a fair price to boot. Definitely recommend it.

I bought a scooter just to have fun getting around town/work. Buying one from Sarasota Scooters/Mopeds was and continues to be a great experience! They are very knowledgeable and experienced. Stopped in just before close on Friday to check out an e-bike. Alex and Walt were very helpful with telling us about the options and upgrades and gave tips for riding on the busy streets! They even stayed after hours (closed at 6) so we could test ride before we buy. Picked up the bike today. Excited to ride it on the legacy trail and to and from work.

Best place in the Sarasota area, probably even a larger area, honest, decent people who wont screw you over like others in Sarasota. I came in for an oil change and they even provided me a used mirror since mine had broken off in an accident recently. I thought the only mechanic I could trust was my dad! Walt was very knowledgeable and was happy to explain the differences in all of the scooters that he carried. He went over the top to deliver our new scooters on New Years Eve Sunday and spent time with us going over maintenance and new owner information. This is a shop that loves what they do and it shows. Fantastic service. Very friendly, no BS. In fact, when I finally went in to finalize the purchase, they lowered the price from what I was already willing to pay. They delivered the scooter for free and gave me demonstrations and advice on how to protect and upkeep the bike.

A family-run business. The owners are great people who go to Great Lengths to take care of their customers. I live 2 towns away and they came and delivered my bike. Called them for a minor repair for my Piaggio. Took me right in and fixed it for a very reasonable price. Had my scoot back in a few hours. Staff was pleasant. Will go again. Definitely recommend.

They did a great job servicing my Piaggio BV500. Explained everything to be done before performing service. Changed rollers, replaced drive belt, replaced all brake pads, replaced gear oil, changed engine oil and installed a new tire. Good work at a fair price. Also, front desk service was outstanding. Friendly and helpful. Excellent customer experience.Will be a returning customer. Recommended!

Took my gamble of a purchase (250cc something Chinese) and I told the owners I could spend $300 max for anything that needed fixing. I walked out spending $25 and receiving an education re: my bike from Walt. He is one honest guy. He could have easily taken advantage of me and instead was just as good as all of the reviews I read. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic company. The costumer service was outstanding. The repair person made every effort to safe on parts that needed to be ordered and found a supplier that sold a particular item for less. He could have just bought the more expensive part, but instead he gave me a call to let me know that the repair will take up a few more days when ordering the less expensive part. Great customer service. These guys are so honest they wont order new parts unless its absolutely imperative. When I went in they pulled out all of their own part out of the back and DIDNT charge me a DIME. Just labor which was extremely reasonable. I got my pre-owned Vespa from here. They were a pleasure to deal with. After Walt delivered it I had a couple minor issues with the gas/gas line. He drove back up to me the next day to make the repair. Honest and reliable, what more can you want!

Worst customer service ever. The woman behind the desk was rude. I came into inquire about a scooter for my niece and she didnt even acknowledge me. She rudely told me to come back because she was having lunch. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Extreemly satisfied. There are 3 scooter shops in Sarasota and unfortunatly we didnt know about this one until last week. Quality parts. Super kind, and helpful. The shop is cool and clean.Weve spent 3,000 at the 2 other shops trying to fix our scooter that breaks down every other week. Ive been here twice and both problems we fixed on the first try, the right way. Couldnt be happier. If you want it done right, the first time, this is the place. (:
