My husband and I had a wonderful experience buying from Volvo Savannah. We got a great deal on our XC60. The gentleman who sold us our SUV, Mike Nelgrove was fantastic. He wasnt pushy, brought what we asked, and then gave us space to decide. It was such a different experience from any other time weve purchased a vehicle. The gentleman who handled the financing, Walter, was patient, and got us a fantastic rate, even better than our bank was able to do. Wonderful experience!
5 stars for the service crew and team - very friendly and helpful folks. Docked a star (and would have more if not for the candor of the team) because they have a very strict policy on only providing service cars for individuals who have bought from this store or the one in Bluffton (not for COVID reasons). Had to rely on calling to be picked up and dropped off at places while we tried to run errands (again friendly driver so kudos).Never had this issue of not being given a car for use at any other Volvo (or Volkswagen for that matter), and definitely not what I would expect from paying for a premium vehicle.
One of the biggest scams out & I will never return. Attempted to charge me around $7000 to fix a headliner & adjust a convertible hard top. Obviously that was a hard NO but did have to pay $165 to tell me something I already knew. Lesson learned NEVER deal with the dealership for anything at all wouldnt allow them to work on a bicycle would probably be charged enough to purchase a new car.......
One of the most perfect car buying experiences one could ask for. I encourage you to do business with these guys they are number one for sure.
I had to make a trip to south florida this past week. I drove over 1000 milesround trip. Everything that I asked the service manager to do was done, and everyone at the shop was helpful and courteous. Every time I go toVolvo Savannah, I have confidence that the best work will be done. Thankyou for your excellent service.
Save yourself the frustration and just drive to Hendrick Volvo in Charleston. We bought an XC 90 in Charleston from them in May, and the experience was incredible. Back home in Savannah, had a minor issue with the car (covered by warranty) and took it to Volvo Cars Savannah to determine what was causing the check engine light to be on. My wife dropped it off and was told it would be $120 just for their service team to look at it. While we felt that was odd, we still paid. I, however, went to pick the vehicle up that afternoon and asked the Service Manager to further explain the charge. He then proceeded to tell me that the $120 was not a requirement, however, my wife asked for a full inspection- which she did not. It was a 2 month old vehicle, they knew that, and knew that a “full inspection” wasn’t required for 2 month old car. I spoke to (who apparently claimed to be) the owner over the phone that evening, and that conversation went even worse. In more or less words, it was essentially communicated to us that there would be nothing done to fix this situation, nor did they care if they lost our business. Again, just make the drive to Charleston, it’s well worth it! Volvo Savannah may as well be a Used Car lot, with a service department to match.
The service department is very unprofessional for a luxury dealership. My car blew an engine this past spring all of a sudden, no warning at all and Volvo would not honor a Certified Preowned Warranty. The dealership kept our car for several days and would never communicate with us or TRY to help us get the warranty department to pay for the engine as we deserved. We paid almost $9,000 for a used engine in a 2014 Volvo S60, today it’s back in the shop for what we think is a dead battery (mind you Volvo put a New battery in the car with the replaced engine this spring). We had the car towed to Volvo this morning early since we couldn’t jump start it and even called Yesterday to tell them we will be bringing it up there since the battery had a warranty. Here it is 5:10 and no word from the service department. We called earlier and they said they only have one technician working today and that the service manager was actually working on cars himself. Don’t understand why this dealership cannot keep qualified technicians employed. Buyer beware!! You’re paying for a luxury vehicle but getting “buy here pay here” service!!!
Probably one of the worst Volvo dealers Ive worked with. Their parts department is never staffed, service refuses to perform NHTSA mandated recalls, and the last time I was in their showroom was a construction disaster.Their techs couldnt even remedy a tire pressure monitoring system fault.
I have been using Volvo Savannah for many years. I have been very very disappointed since Volvo has changed ownership. Recently, I took my 2011 Volvo there for a routine service. After picking it up, I heard a strange noise. I checked my fluid levels and they were low. I started to think back on my other service visits to Volvo Savannah and remembered I had to add oil and coolant after service. I called and spoke to the owner, Ralph Tolman. He said he has had trouble with a particular employee not topping off the fluids during routine maintenance. He assured me my car had been serviced. I told him about my previous 2 visits where I had to add oil and coolant. I told him I was not comfortable taking my car back to Volvo Savannah and asked for a refund so I could have my car serviced elsewhere. His demeanor changed and said I could take my car anywhere I wanted to but he was not going to issue a refund. I will never do business with this company again.Update as of 4-16-20. I had my car serviced elsewhere. The technician asked when the last time my car was serviced. I told him a couple of months ago from Volvo Savannah. He gave me a smile and proceeded to show me the spark plugs he had to replace. These spark plugs looked like they had not been changed in years despite being told by Volvo Savannah that they were changed. Again, I will never step foot in Volvo Savannah again. I was once a loyal customer but no more.
Great service, timely
My daughters Volvo had an oil leak and I took it to these guys to look at it and see if they could fix it.May I add that we bought this car from Atlanta. Everyone there was so nice to me. They took me in and treated me like our their own. After they inspected The car and told me what needed to be done I agreed for them to go ahead and do it. I live about 35 miles away from where their shop is, so I got home my daughter to come pick me up, and I could not get a hold of her. They offered me a car to drive home. That completely blew me away.Their service is top notch and I will be back. Thank you very much Savannah Volvo
I bought my car online and it was ready to go when I got there. This dealer has been in business since the last mid century. They work with you and are so special. I met everyone. I know exactly who I will be speaking with on the phone, the service manager. parts mgr., etc. They are awesome. Go get your deal on an SUV. Ask for Charles!
Factory recall on door latch. Our backdoor didn’t lock and swings open. Not good😳. We had it towed. Was told that it may take a week or longer to fix and they couldn’t offer any loaner car!! Mind you they don’t open on the weekend. But it’s a VOLVO factory recall that is a safety issue and there was no sense of urgency or assisting the customer because of this huge inconvenience.
Really, really great folks to work with; we could not have been happier with this purchase. Hard to believe that this was an auto dealership. It was easy, no hassle, fast and they were very professional and thorough about the delivery of our new car. Cannot rate them high enough! Thanks to our fantastic sales person, John Barret and the staff there at Savannah Volvo. And a really great car!
From NYC and were down south In Hilton Head, SC for 5 month due to the pandemic. We decided that we should get a car and I have always wanted the Volvo XC90. We went to the Bluffton dealership and they could not care less to answer questions, return phone calls or make a deal. So, we decided to give Savannah a try and assisted by Walter. He was amazing and treated us so well and worked out the best deal for us. We wanted a white XC90 and it just so happened that the car was in the Bluffton dealership. Not only did they loose the deal with, but a sale. If you are interested in getting a Volvo in Savannah/HiltonHead, GO SEE WALTER!!! He will so friendly and make you feel comfortable.
We purchased our 2012 Volvo s60 a few months ago and recently the brakes started grinding. We also got a message to do our regularly scheduled maintenance. My husband took the vehicle up there and let them know the brakes were supposed to be new and we shouldnt be having an issue with it. They fixed the problem at no charge. The salesman and mechanics are great. If you wish to be treated fairly this is the place to go. They truly value customer service.
I just had some warranty service work done to my Volvo at Volvo Cars Savannah and I have to say that these guys are, without a doubt, the best car dealership that Ive ever dealt with. Even though I bought a used car, I still get a loaner when I bring it in for service - they go over and above to help me feel like a valued customer and I really appreciate that. I highly recommend them if you want a superior car from a superior dealer.
Great first experience. Had been traveling to another dealership previously but they moved outside of my geographic range so I found the folks in Savannah. They completely accommodate me, keep me apprised on status, and were very timely in completing the service. They even provided a loaner car for me to run errands while I waited! This was the first of many service appointments I plant to make with them. Great job!
My whole experience with this dealership has been pleasant. From the sales rep Mike Cashwell to the very pleasant owner (Ralph if I can recall) folk were noninvasive but there when I needed. I ended up buying a car through them after years of hemming and hauling at lots of different sorts of dealerships.
I stopped at the dealership while doing errands. I had one tire that was questionable. Even though I did not have an appointment, they took the time to check out the tire while I waited. I was given detailed information regarding the specifics on the one tire and how it affected the overall performance of the car. An appointment was set up the next day to do the work necessary and a loaner was made available. They made a frustrating experience for me into a more pleasant experience.
Daniel was a fantastic salesman. He showed me the exact vehicle I wanted to see (He didnt try to show me something I didnt ask for. This seems to happen all the time.). I hopped in for a test drive with ease and breezed through the sales process. I was also extremely pleased with the finance department. Jim made the financing go smoothly. The whole experience was unlike any other car purchasing experience. I never felt pressured to do anything that I wasnt comfortable with. I highly recommend their sales team.
After two days of car shopping I was sick of dealing with aggressive salesmen that only had their best interest in mind. Going to Volvo of Savannah was the best decision I made all day. Everyone there was friendly and actually listened to what I had to say instead of trying to talk me into buying a car I didnt want. The entire experience was enjoyable. I you are looking to buy a vehicle in a comfortable environment this is where you need to go.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. What great service. Our car broke down leaving us stranded, they jumped through firey hoops to make the repair quickly and with a smile. I wish I lived closer. If you have a Volvo, take your car here for service. I cannot thank the service department enough for coming to our rescue.
My husband and I recently purchased a Volvo XC 60 from this dealership. Since weve lived in Japan for the last 7 years, this was the first car buying experience wed had in a long while. Before moving to Japan, we owned a Lexus sedan and grew accustomed to nice customer service and quality products. We visited the Volvo dealer hoping for a good outcome. From the moment we entered the lot, our salesman was wonderful. Jonathan Murillo, the salesman, was very relaxed and extremely knowledgeable abut the vehicles. His patient approach reassured us that Jonathan wasnt just interested in selling us a car; rather, Jonathan was eager to sell us the car that was right for us. He answered all of our questions and smoothly transitioned us into our new vehicle. We would strongly recommend this dealership to others because of our positive experience with the staff.
Ive known the owners of Volvo of Savannah for many years and they are the exact opposite of the typical car dealers. They take great care of their employees, their customers, and the Savannah community. When you buy or service your car at Volvo of Savannah, youre spending your money with the good guys.
This is basically a used car lot with Volvos name on it. My wife bought a convertible from there and not once has any service gone smoothly. They have no knowledgeable staff, they cant diagnose any issues, and most recently they took her credit card payment over the phone only to call back 2 days later and say they lost it. So who has her CC info??? This is a ridiculous place to do business. Do yourself a favor and go on over to Carolina Volvo if yore interested in a Volvo.
Bought a volvo from here in 2013 and have gotten it serviced by them ever since, one of the best service centers I have ever visited, they were always polite and always up front about costs and what repairs were actually a priority, I love this place because of the honesty and integrity of its staff, highly recommended!
Awesome service. Really great people and they will work with you on price. They threw in some cosmetic touch ups for free. This is the only place Ill take my Volvo now.
We were extremely pleased with our purchasing experience at Volvo of Savannah. Everyone with whom we had an encounter was pleasant and helpful. Walter and Jonathan were knowledgeable and efficient as they helped us select a car that would be just right for our family. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs and we are confident that we can depend on them throughout the lifetime of our vehicle.
Daniel Kwaw and the rest of the team at Volvo of Savannah made this the best car buying experience weve ever had. From the first moment we arrived on lot to check out options, to closing the deal a few days later, every detail was handled smoothly and without pressure. Daniel took the time to create a relationship with us so that he understood our needs. He patiently answered all questions, offered competitive pricing and financing options, conducted multiple test drives, and was easily accessible for follow-up questions. Volvo didnt just focus on selling us a safe car for our family, but focused on earning our current and future business. Top notch experience!
A client of mine said Savannah Volvo refused over the phone to look at their car because of its age (2004) and told them not to bring it in. I was skeptical and called myself, and I was dealt with very tersely and told the same thing. They were not interested in even looking at this car, and it *has* to go to a Volvo dealer because it has software faults and module communication errors only they can fix. I was extremely disappointed in their rudeness on the phone (the last thing the young man said--with an impatient sigh--was is there anything *else* I can help you with? and he basically hung up on me).I called Carolina Volvo in Bluffton, SC (their sister store) and was greeted very politely and they were at least willing (GASP!) to look at the car and were appalled at Savannah Volvos response. I also called Volvo in Jacksonville to see if they would welcome this car the way Carolina is willing to and they enthusiastically said they would be glad to look at it.I do not know what has happened with Savannah Volvo, as they used to be one of the only good new car dealers in Savannah, but I am thoroughly disappointed with the experience today. I would strongly advise taking your Volvo to the dealer in Bluffton, SC or Jacksonville, FL instead of this place.
Volvo Cars Savannah is a stress free sales environment. Daniel Kwaw ordered the car I wanted with all the options I wanted. He treated me with professionalism and listened to my requests. He was able to work out the sale in person, in email, and over the phone. The convenience was very much appreciated with my busy life. The finance manager was also a great experience. He was not like other finance managers. Not pushy. Presented the options, asked me if I had questions, and that was it. Explained everything very clear. When I am ready for my next Volvo, I will come back to Volvo Cars Savannah
I purchased a vehicle yesterday at Volvo of Savannah. John Barrett my sales person was not only informative and helpful but made me comfortable enough to fly 360 miles to purchase a vehicle site unseen. Finance Manager Walter Fuentes was very professional and completed my paperwork literally in minutes. Greg the service manager had the car into the service department for a final check before I began my journey back to Huntsville Alabama. The staff made me feel very comfortable and applied no high pressure sales tactics. This type of service you can only receive at a locally owned buisness. I strongly urge anyone to at least speak with Volvo of Savannah before purchasing a vehicle, we will certainly do so before our next purchase.
I had a wonderful experience at Volvo of Savannah this weekend. Roger Bazemore was truly professional and answered all my questions. I did not feel pushed in any way. They let me take the car home for a test drive which turned out to be the perfect car for me. When it came to closing, there was no back and forth and they met my asking price with no hassle at all.I would like to thank Roger and the finance team for getting me in my new car with ease. If you are looking for a new of used car, I would definitely recommend Volvo of Savannah! Thanks Guys,
This is in regards to their Online Parts Department. I purchased parts for my Volvo on December 12 and received 2 emails within 3 days indicating my parts would soon be shipped. It is now Dec. 30 and no parts and no shipping confirmation. The phone number goes to Gregs voicemail. I have left 4 over 2 weeks, none have been returned. Four days ago, I finally got a hold of Greg, but he said I needed to speak to Charles, who wasnt in that day but was scheduled to be in the following day. I have tried calling Charles 3 times only to get voicemail. Dont buy parts from their online store. They take your money and dont send parts. Now I have to call my bank.EDITTED: I did finally receive communication from Savannah Volvo Parts and I was informed that the parts had to come from Sweden and would not be here for another 4-6 weeks. They apologized for not communicating sooner and offered to comp my shipping. I ended up cancelling my order which they did without hesitation.
Out of town with check engine light on. Gregg accommodated me at my convenience. All were very informative and professional. Thank you!!!
I was a first time car buyer and did A LOT of shopping around and A LOT of research. By the time I got to Volvo of Savannah I was at my wits end with salesmen and then I met Daniel. He was very helpful and very willing to work with me...because I know I was a very difficult customer. It took me a few cars to make my decision but Daniel was supportive and wanted me to purchase the best car for me. Even after my purchase Daniel has been willing to help. He set up my detailing appointment and ensured that the second key was located. Not only was he helpful and friendly everyone that I encountered there was like that. They have made my car buying experience very enjoyable and as long as I own a Volvo I will continue to do business with this location.
Great experience here! Both Jim and Jimmie made it a fast and smooth experience at the dealership. Purchased a Dodge Ram 1500 in beautiful condition. Couldnt be happier.
Went to this Dealership to look at a truck. While going through the process, David(Salesman) and Jim(Finance), helped me in every possible way they could. Two very upstanding guys and I got into a Truck that I really love. Could not be happier with the experience and truck.
Great Dealership....SERVICE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME. I have death with Pete and with Daniel and both are so great. They make sure Im in and out quickly for service and always have a smile.I live in St. Simons Island, GA, and drive an hour just to use this dealerships service dept.Carol Warner
Nice friendly people. They like to help and take care of customer needs. I got my car serviced twice here. Both time it was pleasent.
I was assisted by Daniel in getting my new Mustang dream car. I was so nervous and disheveled due to the special circumstances that brought me there and yet everyone there was so kind, helpful and understanding. Really something needed when someone is going through a tough time. There was also another respectable gentleman who assisted me in processing the purchase of the car, but his name presently evades me. Ill return to edit this review later when Im free.Very good team. Very professional. And I was happy to do business with them. Thanks again, guys.
Very unfriendly. Force sales
I purchased a 2012 Ford F250 at Volvo of Savannah through Roger Bazemore (salesman) and Jim Romeo (finance). This experience was the best Ive ever had at ANY dealership. Both Roger and Jim were a pleasure to deal with and made us feel like old friends. AND, we got a GREAT deal on the F250 and a generous valuation on our trade-in.
From the moment I inquired about the car the salesmen were right there. Jonathan made arrangements for me to see the vehicle. He helped me through the process all the way to the end. He kept in touch after the sale and made sure the car was fixed and working correctly. Walter and Jonathan made my experience at Volvo a place to return to again.
There was only one time we had an issue, brought my car in for a full check up and they failed to tell me I needed tires. Had to drive all the way back to get new ones after I was still complaining of noises in my front end. Volvo has always been good to us. So one little mishap doesn’t equate to the one major thing they messed up on. They were also changing new employees that this time.
I held off posting but for anyone who is considering purchasing a used vehicle from them, it is a must you get a second opinion from an a trusted mechanic. They will sell you a lemon and beg for a positive review, which is what happened to me. My repairs are have essentially doubled my car payment! Do not trust them, terrible experience after having three different Volvos serviced here for nearly 15 years.
Employees are great and it is always a stress free experience.
Just needed a part. They were efficient and inexpensive.
HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! I only gave one star because you have to when posting. Tried to make 3 different appointments to have service/repairs and all three were a circus. This last time (which will be the last time we come to this dealership) my wife made an appointment to replace the tires and service the vehicle. They ordered the wrong tires - this was after sitting in the waiting area for 45 minutes. She asked for a loaner to run some errands and they waid they had nothing. Then, while doing the service they told her the car was not safe to drive. Ten minutes later it was safe to drive (really??). They rotated the old tires and sent her home because they had no loaner cars - the OWNER of the dealership told me he couldnt do anything for us (we live 80 miles from Savannah). So 5 miles from the dealership, the tire pressure warning comes up. So I ask again for a loaner - the answer was no. They expected my wife to drive the car back home, make another appointment and drive back down when the tires came in. I didnt mention that my wife works and burned an entire day at the dealership when she was told it would be complete in an hour and a half. The OWNER did not assume any responsibility and even said he had no interest in helping us as we wouldnt be returning to his dealership - I did not say anything about not coming back until he made his comment. Do not buy a car from these people and by all means do not get your car serviced here.
Volvo of Savannah has an outstanding service department! They will accommodate your schedule, give you a ride during service if needed, and make sure to give you the best results, doing whats best for you and for your vehicle !!
Chris and his team service all sorts of vehicles. Ive never had a better service experience than when Ive had the Volvo Savannah team service my Honda Accord. Take your care to them next time you need service, you wont be disappointed.
Other than the friendly front desk employee it was the worst experience ever. They overcharged and never fixed my problem. The place barely looks like it is operational. I will drive to Jacksonville Volvo dealer if I need to take it to a dealer.
Great team of people! Knowledgeable and professional! This was the best car buying experience for both my husband and I. I love my XC90!
We recently purchased a new Volvo with the help of an amazing sales associate, Daniel Kwaw. Daniel was very informative and accommodating during the whole process and never pressured us while we made a decision. We went in expecting the typical car buying experience and were very pleased that we didnt have to go through hours of painful haggling. The dealership offered us a fair value for our trade and a great price for the vehicle we purchased. They even let us take the vehicle home over night while we made a decision whether to purchase the vehicle we were considering. Once we made our decision, Daniel had all the paperwork ready when I showed up and it was a seamless and relatively quick process to complete the purchase. And of course, we love our new car! We recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Volvo.
Savannah Volvo is AWESOME!!! Sales staff (Mike Cashwell), finance staff and service department are all top-notch! Thanks for taking care of our needs! Ask for Mike, hes the best!
Wondering who their mechanic is....... Mr. Magoo? Wanted to buy a car and took it to my mechanic after being told it checked out with them. My mechanic said it would be another 5000.00 in repairs to make this vehicle road worthy! They said someone would come in and buy it as is over book value any way!
Holly and Carter are so friendly and helpful! They get the job done!
Very welcoming dealership with a vast inventory. Definitely recommend.
Great service. Timely and quick appt. time.
I bought a used Mini from them for a good price and was very satisfied with it until it broke down. I got 200 miles on the car before I had to pay $1000 to replace the spark plugs and coils. The service was quite friendly, but if you plan on buying from here, take the car to your mechanic first, because this dealership will sell you a lemon.
Purchased a Volvo S60. Great staff that worked hard on getting me a car up to CPO standards
I got to drive home and a 2017 S60 Volvo! Daniel the sale rep was awesome Jeff the finance guy super the whole team made my experience wonderful Volvo for life :-)
Jonathan was a great salesman! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thanks for finding the perfect XC 90!!!
If you are in the Savannah area stop by the Volvo of savannah. Great service great people you wont be disappointed. They work with what you can afford and can put you in a vehicle you didnt even think you could afford. Go down to Volvo of savannah and tell them I sent you
I am a real 1st time client of Volvo of Savannah. I understand they are under new mgmt. I have spent thousands to keep my older Volvo running. I was about to give up. I had to drive a hour and a half to get to V of S. These major problems were found by V of S. It was the best case scenario! They could of thrown parts at it and cost me thousands more and I would of had to play along. No one else could find the real problems.Very professional and very honest. As long as I own a Volvo I will be a client.
On trip to Daytona 500 with Dad when his seat adjustment broke, leaving his knees up under his chin. Pulled in to Volvo of Savannah expecting to wait for hours, but manager Chris Dixon pulled Danny Dickerson from service, analyzed and fixed the problem, sending us merrily on our way !GREAT EXPERIENCE !!!!Chuck MorganCharlotte, NC
Couldnt believe the service that was rendered to us!! Had a 9:00 a.m appointment to have my car serviced, asked how long it would take, and it was not ready for pickup till 5 p.m. We were told it would take 3 hours for the vehicle to be serviced and after being at the dealership all day they said that parts had to be ordered and nothing was fixed at all. I think that because Pete knew how upset I had been by nothing having been done at 1:30 p.m he made sure that the process drug out even longer. At approximately 3:30p.m. I asked how much longer before my car would be ready he said 5 minutes. This turned into an hour and a half before my vehicle was brought from the back without anyone notifying me that it was even ready. Ridiculous!!
I really do not have enough good things to say about my experience at Volvo of Savannah. Roger Bazemore and Jim Romeo made the process of buying a car not only easy but extremely pleasant. As a woman in my mid-twenties, I was hesitant going to a dealership with just one of my close girlfriends, but was more than pleasantly surprised at how helpful, fair and all around easy the experience was. Roger was very mindful of my budget and never pushy when I was making my decisions. Jim Romeo and Roger Bazemore were so patient with me and went above and beyond in finding me a great interest rate. I will definitely be using this dealership for future purchases!
Amazing owners and staff!
Outstanding car purchasing experience. Everyone was so helpful from Daniel to the service department.
I highly recommend buying from Volvo of Savannah. Just bought my daughter an used XC90. Our Salesman (Roger Bazemore) made the experience painless.
Poor Service ExperienceI dropped vehicle off for service at 9am -- a simple oil change that I was told might take a couple of hours (I understand its not quick lube and thats OK). It was still not complete at 1:30 pm when I was available to pick it up, and was told my vehicle could be dropped off at my office since my wife would need it. By 3:30 pm this was still not done, and I had to finish a work call early and pick up the car so my wife would have it available for use. When I mentioned these issues to the service manager when I picked up the vehicle, I was told simply these things happen and there was nothing we could do. No sincere apology, no offer to compensate my wasted time by pro-rating the bill. A manager called me a couple of days later to follow-up on my service appointment and make sure I had a great experience! He was unaware of the aforementioned issues which means his service managers failed to inform him of these basic things. He was understanding and apologetic, but a day late and dollar short for wasting hours of my time on what should have been the most simple of service appointments.Completely unacceptable service on all accounts and gives me zero reason to return to this dealership for service and certainly will make me re-think purchasing a Volvo in the future.
I noticed the 2007 Chevrolet Convertible Corvette on their website. I made a call to the Dealership and spoke with Roger Bazemore to discuss the vehicle. I was very impressed by how professional he was and provided all the answers I asked. I drove from Brunswick to Savannah and met with Roger and purchased the Corvette the same day. I have purchased many vehicles in the the past, but must say that Roger Bazemore and Finance Director Jim Romeo made this one of the fastest and easiest transactions. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle and want a professional Sales Consultant without high pressure, then Roger Bazemore is the best! I highly recommend this dealership and their staff.
This day was the worse experience ever. I made a service appointment for my wifes AC. I arrived and checked in, I was told to wait, which I did. Later was called to the counter and was told that the car loaner I coordinate would be ready shortly. As I stood outside and I saw a small 4 door Volvo and walked towards it to check it out. By the dirty looks of it, it appeared to be a customer car. While looking at the car, I was approached by a service agent, only to be told this was the loaner car I reserved. I inspected the car and found it filty inside and out, as well as it had a very strong cigarettes scent in the cab. I informed the service agent, only to be given the excuse that the car was turned in the night before, and that the carwash and detail person was not in this day. He also offer to spray the car with some sort of scented spray. I informed the service agent that this was unacceptable and that I was very displeased. He was very rude and condescending. To add insult to this already sensitive situation, as I retieved my valuables out of the filty car, another service agent approached me, who happen to the same race, which I found very offensive. He was worse that they first who was white. His demeanor, attitude and tome, very condescending and disrespectful, trying to force me to take the car by making excuses for the condition of the loaner, and that it was the only car available. He nor anyone in the service department offer the simple solution, which was (a) wash and clean the vehicle or (b) get another loaner. I guess he was sent out to deal with me because I am of the same race; unacceptable, unsolicited and unwarr anted. No paying customer deserves this treatment ever! The outcome was less than desireble. Ruin my day!The lack of care and fail Customer service, is a direct reflection of todays for profit business and also reflects poorly on the leadership of this business. As a paying customer, I deserve to be treated not with kids glove, but with the same dignity and respect other are treated, and their should consistency and transparency in communication. Specially in a service provider business such as this one. Yes, am I disappointed. My only hope is that these service agents will receive the proper customer service retraining to insure incidents such as this will never happen again. And yes, I will take my business elsewhere. I know I am just in customer to this business. However, I refuse to be treated with such disrespect.
I did purchase a vehicle at volvo of savannah last week and Mr. Jonhatan Murillos attention and courtesy was exceptional. I will be back for my daughters first car in a few months.
From day one with my initial visit stepping into the car dealership, each and everyone of the gentlemen I spoke to were very amicable and helpful. Walter and Daniel were very consistent throughout the process of my car buying experience. I came by serendipity to Volvo of Savannah just looking and stopping by. I saw a couple of vehicles that struck my interest so I got numbers on them. The specific VW I was interested was a great deal, in fantastic shape however the radio did not work. My reaction to this issue was to go on and view other vehicles however, Walter and Daniel would not rest or stop until I was thoroughly pleased with the VW I spoke interest in. The gentleman ran the numbers, gave me an incredible deal (this dealership definitely looks out for veterans & military personnel) and had their finance manager Jim work it all out for me with a specific creditor. They WOULD NOT allow me to sign for the VW until the radio was replaced and therefore sent the vehicle to Savannah VW to be fixed. Volvo issued me a loaner vehicle for my work trip site visit and upon returning coordinating with VW the cost & ETA for amendment of the car. Paid for the replacement, gave me the service receipt and sent me on my way. This process took a week however the staff at Volvo, Walter, Daniel & Jim did not cease any communication w/ me and took great care of me in my situation. Definitely best experience at a car dealership I have ever had, and I have associates and friends who work in the business. Definitely extremely pleased with my vehicle, worth the wait and Im excited with my decision. Great car, great mileage, great deal & price where I wanted to be in my budget. I most definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill area looking to invest in a vehicle. Thanks Savannah Volvo!
This review is important for me to share as I believe in giving honor and credit where it should be given. I had the extremely unfortunate luck of putting quite a bit of gasoline that had been contaminated with water in my car a year ago. I’m only just now writing about it because it was resolved only recently. As soon as my vehicle reached Volvo of Savannah, I was reassured that they would take good care of me, my car, and get to the bottom of things. Of course I didnt know about the fuel when I had it towed there and upon learning this and not being a car person, I didnt know how serious this could potentially be. I spoke often with Daniel Troup, who put me in a fantastic loaner car and kept me updated on the progress. After a little while, I communicated only with Pete Capehart, the Service Manager, once we realized that a longer, larger battle was ahead. I dont use the word battle lightly here as it was then necessary to file a claim with the large oil company whose contaminated fuel I had used. The recommendations from Volvo to the oil company on how to best fix my car were drawn up and sent in a timely manner. I was in communication with the oil company as well, but in terms of how to fix my car, Pete maintained communication with them and performed the oil company’s recommended repairs, which unfortunately did not resolve the issue. Then it seemed as though the oil company rep wouldn’t return Volvo’s calls for a while. Due to the severity of the damage and the “pre-contamination” condition of my car, the oil company was refusing to cover the costs. I didn’t expect this to be easy but I was a single lady working part time taking care of my father after his stroke and every day without a resolution brought me more and more stress. I was scared and very upset. I did not know how to fight this fight on my own. What were my legal options? What were my best options of the unacceptable few the oil company eventually gave me? I will be forever grateful that I had support on my side in the form of a knowledgeable friend, Pete, and Chris Dixon, Volvo of Savannah’s Fixed Operations Manager. Pete, Chris, my friend, and I sat down with the oil company reps and discussed the best course of action. Never once did I get the impression that Volvo wished to get my situation wrapped up in the quickest and easiest way possible for them. In the course of the meeting there were moments where I was being spoken to by an oil rep in a condescending manner. These men from Volvo went to bat for me as though I was a personal friend. In the end, the oil company paid for part of, but not the total cost of the repairs. Pete and his crew went above and beyond to make the final costs as manageable for me as possible. There are many more details of this story but it truly felt like we were in it together. The day I picked up my car, which runs beautifully, Pete carved out a large chunk of time to explain every detail, as my car’s file had become quite big at that point. I cannot imagine what this unfortunate situation would have been like had it been another company. Would I have received the same support? Just as I had been promised in the beginning of it all, my car and I were taken care of completely. I have intentionally chosen not to name the oil company but I will voluntarily sing the praises of Volvo of Savannah. Much thanks to Pete, Chris, and Daniel. I do, of course, recommend Volvo of Savannah without reservation.
To preface... I dont usually own fancy cars, or ever set foot in a dealer. Im a shadetree mechanic, and have wrenched on my vehicles for 20+ years. But, Im getting older... So I bought my first fancy newer car. A Volvo S80 (private sale).I decided to continue as the previous owner did... Taking it to the dealer for service. The car needed tires and TPMS service from the onset.Called Volvo Cars Savannah yesterday, and they were happy to fit me in today. No transferring between departments... The first person I spoke with took my info and scheduled me up.Met Josh, my SA this morning, and he was very understanding that in addition to the known TPMS issue, my car is new to me, and I wished to have them take a look at the car overall. Car went in, and I headed to the mall to browse. Two calls from Josh kept me in check of what they found. They mounted my new tires (which I bought from Amazon... Some dealers will complain about customer supplied tires), replaced the two faulty tire pressure sensors, and advised me on a few other points to address in the future. The amazing thing? The price. $20 each for mount and balance for the tires... Thats what Walmart charges. The tire pressure sensors? I did my research... Genuine Volvo sensors are $85 wholesale online. WITH installation, they were a touch over $100.They had $200 in parts and probably 2 hours of labor into my car, and my bill was $300 total. That kind of deal is simply unheard of at a dealer! And yeah... They washed my car too. :)Being a new Volvo owner, I could get used to this. Many thanks to Jose who carried out the dirty work as well. Impeccable job!
The Volvo of Savannah management and sales team offered outstanding customer service in order to meet every need when requesting to test drive and view a Volvo C30....especially since there is a 2 1/2 hour difference in driving time from Georgia to Florida. The dealer principal, Chris Elliot spent several phone calls with me to accommodate for the distance between us....Mr. Elliot arranged for his Sales Associate, Jonathan Murello to call me and to personally, meet me in order to test drive the beautiful Chameleon Blue Volvo C30....on his day off. Every step of the way was paved with continued communication and explanation as to Volvos excellent features and service. After driving the C30 with Jonathan Murello as a Sales Associate he organized my steps by contacting me the very next day to speak with the Director of Sales, Walter Fuentes, who agreed upon an excellent price for purchasing this beautiful vehicle! The most important part of purchasing the car was the agreeableness of Volvo of Savannah....management and sales associates, Mr. Elliot, Mr. Fuentes, and Mr. Murello all agreed to meet me personally at the Ga /FL border and Jonathan drove me in a luxury Volvo S60 to the Savannah Volvo destination....Every need was met in order for me to purchase my C30....no other Volvo dealership has been so personable and concerned to help you make the right purchase and to assist by bringing the vehicle and myself together.Ratings of Excellence for Sales Associate Jonathan Murello and Volvo of Savannah Management, Chris Elliot and Walter Fuentes. Best to Shawn and Finance Director Jim for their excellent service in the process!Elaine Ryan
We have purchased a 2006 Volvo XC 90 at Volvo of Savannah through Roger Bazemore (our salesman) and Jim Romeo (the paperwork man). The experience was truly first rate. I have bought use and new cars all my life and this was probably the easiest and least frustrating experience.Roger understood our needs and price range. He suggested a couple of different cars and then remembered an SUV that had been price -reduced. His knowledge of the inventory was excellent.Inside, there was no moment where the management suddenly came up with extra charges or fees. The licesensure was easy as well.Volvo mainly sells new vehicles but they have a nice small collection of good cars, mostly trade ins from folks buying new Volvos...this means the used cars have been well cared for...there are a number of affordable upmarket cars on the lot. Roger and his team don;t make you feel bad if you are not dropping 42K on a new car. They gave us the same treatment they gave new car people. Basically we got a great deal on an SUV with limited miles for the cost, new tires, one owner, all service records intact from Volvo. Roger was a completely down to earth guy who wanted to help.
Service is always good.
Best experience ever in buying a vehicle.
Always great service
Beautiful selection of cars
Staff is very informative and helpful.
Hard to get a hold of service or parts technician. Customer service not so great.
Service center will tell you they will order parts then and when to come in. Then when you get there no parts.
Great customer service!
As a customer out of town, I was charged $400.00 for a fuel pressure sensor to be installed. If this was because it was an emergency service, then that I should have been told.
Good service department
Avoid this place at all costs.
