Had my car towed to Carma Auto Care. From Davis tire in Rincon, after talking to Ben at Carma . Davis Tire told me I had a blown head gasket and I needed an engine. Ben from Carma Auto Care asked me if they took it apart. Davis did not. So after towing vehicle to Carma, they told me what I already knew from Davis tire, that I had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine. Well, this confirmed knowledge cost me 79.99. But, I found out they didnt take the heads off to see if it was needing just a gasket repair or if the heads are warped and I need an engine. They instead went for a engine replacement. My next auto repair man, informed me they cant tell by a diagnostic test if the heads warped or anything else, all that can really be proven is the gasket was blown. But that knowledge was already known from Davis tire. Carma just charge me 79.99 to tell me something, I was already informed of. Engine replacement cost was quoted by Carma for 10009.00 Note 3000.00 for labor and the rest for the engine, that would have to be built from the Mazda dealer. Mind you, I was quoted 1750.00 in labor cost, from another repair shop. So now my car is at another repair shop. Who seem to think, it might just be a blown head gasket. In any case, they will pull the heads to actually see. Carma offer this only after I questioned them if they pulled the heads. My new mechanic states, unless Carma has some type of magic he isnt aware of, Carma had know way of knowing without pulling the heads.My main complaint is Carma basically had me tow my vehicle to them from. DAVIS, after asking me if Davis took it apart, then they basically didnt take it apart either and then charge me 79.99.

I have been using CARma for a couple of years now and I tell everyone about their friendly and professional service that is unmatched by anyone in town. They were able to get to the bottom of problems that other car repair places could not. Not only do they have more advanced equipment to get to the root of problems, they are honest and do work in a timely fashion. Great at communicating the precise problem to the customer and what is required to fix it. I can’t say enough about Moria and her team. My only complaint is I wish I had known about them sooner.
I would reccomemd this shop all day! They actually listen and take the time to walk with you through your concerns. They will assess the situation and give you a honest and complete list of what you need done. They even will break it down by what is an absolute must (due to mechanical safety) and what could wait until another time. They will give you an honest time line as well. I have to say as a woman, I trust that I am not being taken advantage of at this shop. They are so friendly, professional, and honest. No high pressure tactics here. I reccomeded this location to a friend of mine and this is the only place she goes now. I just wanted to share with everyone else that this is a great place and you should check it out.
I needed a wheel bearing replacement and decided to try CarMa, the price was reasonable, the service was fast and the end results were great, if in need of future auto repair, I would definitely use them again!!!
Before CARma, Ive been to two other places. One in pooler and one in Rincon. Ive got to say that their customer service is by far the best Ive been to in this area.
My husband took his Kia Optima to get the AC repaired. The first time they “fixed” it, after he got home he realized that they forgot to put the engine filter back in and some other engine parts were in his back seat. Then the AC stopped working the next day. He brought it back and they “fixed it” again. 2 days later, it broke again…not even joking. We bring it back a 3rd time. And the exact same thing happened. So this time we said screw it, and we took it to the Kia dealership. They repaired it in one day, and they said that the wiring was done poorly by the previous person and thats why it kept breaking.So yeah. Terrible experience. Wasted a month and $500 for nothing.
First off I would never recommend anybody to CARma and this is as honest as I can be. I went to the shop so they could change a sensor I personally couldn’t get to on top of my transmission. After they changed the sensor, they called and said my car was shifting gears like I expected and that the problem was gone. They didn’t release the car to me after this and instead did an engine diagnosis and told me that I now have major engine problems. Might I mind you that I haven’t had any major problems with my engine before I brought it to CARma. They said I need new gasket covers due to a leak. After they changed the covers and told me my car was good to go, they released it to me unfinished. As I was driving home I heard something moving around under my hood. I look under my hood and they didn’t even put my engine or anything back together. My air filter wasn’t connected to the car, my engine cover was sliding around freely, they broke my fan cover, left tools under my hood, my electrical system was hanging, and still had problems I had never seen before with this car. So I brought it back the next day just how they left it and they looked shocked when they saw it. Like they couldn’t believe they did it. Then while they were under my hood trying to put it back together they noticed a hissing sound coming from the fuel injectors. These injectors were exposed while they were so called changing my gasket cover which means they could’ve possibly not put something back together properly or damaged my vehicle. I left the car with them again to change or fix my fuel injectors/rails. They released the car to me a second time and by the time I get home my car is smoking so bad it’s almost in flames. So I bring it back a third time and they admitted to putting me in danger and even said themselves my car could’ve caught on fire. They also said they messed up finding the proper O-Rings and had to “rig” them. This led to them having to order the right piece and that took another week to get to the shop. After they finally said they got everything together and released the car to me a third time, my engine is making a noise so loud and doesn’t seem to have much power like it used to. I bring it back so they can look at it and they label the noise as engine knock and told me my car was just “getting old.” The mechanic also suggested I put engine oil additive in my oil tank to thicken the oil instead of them fixing the issue. My engine has never made any noises before they worked on my car so I know they’re apart of the problem. I also only had one code on my computer before I brought it to CARma and now I have 3 to 4 new codes showing up.
I took my car in for a check engine light and they fixed the car and got it back to me quickly. A few days later the light came back on. I called before I came, one mechanic met me in the parking lot, apologized and offered to give me a ride to the car rental place. They got the issue fixed at no additional cost and did a great job at communicating and updating. I would have given them 5 stars if they got it right without having to go back but what made them a 4 star vs a 1star was the customer service and the fact that I could tell they really wanted to resolve the issue and make it right. I appreciate that kind of attitude.

Very disappointed, number one at myself because I got referred from a co worker at my job. I never had this experience with any mechanic shop ever in my life. I will not be going back I will find someplace else that know how to talk to their customer and fix my car properly!!!!
Prompt response to service update requests and pleasant interaction during service. I appreciate their evaluation of the areas that will need future but not necessarily immediate attention based upon their service diagnostic. They also identified the leaking shocks with pictures that needed more timely replacement. I will return for future automotive needs. Car ran noticeably smoother following the engine maintenance as well. I was not familiar with any particular business in the area since I recently moved to Savannah. I am happy to have found CARma.

Went days without my car I tried to be patient and then I finally call no answer, then when I call back again I get a answer. I then ask about my car and why haven’t I heard anything back about it. Very disrespectful towards me. The only reason I called is to check on my Car!!!!!! I get my car back 2 days later in worst shape then what it came in as! Please do not take your car here you will do better off getting someone off of Facebook market than these drug attic looking mechanics!! Warning comes before destruction do not take your vehicle here!!!

Had an engine problem while we were passing through and luckily CARma could take us the same day. Diagnosed the problem and had it fixed the next day!
My car was running very well for 9 straight years without any problem. Suddenly, one day it decided not to start. The car try to fire up but could not started. Had my car tow to CARma Auto Care. After the car was dropped off to CARma, the technician ran the initial diagnostic of the car and discovered that the reason the car could not start because the fuel pump is not running sending fuel to the engine to run. In addition, the battery was no longer able to hold charge. The cost of repair invoice was submitted with the approximate cost of repair. The invoice was very clear to the cost of parts, labor, shop fees and tax.The technician went the extra mile and conducted additional diagnostic to verify if there are additional mechanical or electrical issues that may lead to the reason why the fuel pump was not running. I was informed that there the car had an electrical issues due to the non-working power distribution box that sits on top of the battery. Because the power distribution box was malfunction, it did not send the signal to the fuel pump to pump gas to the engine. The technician confirmed that the fuel pump was in good working order and that there is no need to replace it. Thus, the invoice of repair was reduced with not having to replace the fuel pump. The only thing that is need to be replaced is the Power Distribution box and the battery.CARma Auto Care did a wonderful job at conducting the diagnostic and repair needed to have my car up and running. I appreciate their professionalism and effort to ensure that I am only paying on what are needed with the repair. On the day that I came to pick up my car, everything was in great working order and the car was back to good working order.A few days later, a error message came up indicating that there is an electrical error with the Passenger Restrain System. Took the car back to Carma Auto Care and the technician immediately service my car while I waited. The staff were so professional and not only did they service the error message but also took the time to explain why that error message occurred and that it has been reset and that message will no longer occur.Overall, I am very please and happy that I took my car to CARma Auto Care. Matt and Brian took great care of my car and did a wonderful job servicing it. Thanks to their professionalism and expertise, my car is now back in perfect working order.
This place is the worst ever. Please save yourself the time n money. They never keep to there word especially when your insurance paying they tend to hold your vehicle way longer to get more money and when you do get it back it ha more issue than what you bring it in for.
9/8/20DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE!I’ve never reviewed a company before but I’m making an exception in this case. If I could rate this place a 0, I would. I can understand and even tolerate occasional incompetence but there is a huge INTEGRITY issue when dealing with this company.My son’s Audi started to badly misfire and had trouble idling once the engine was warm. We chose Carma for a couple of reasons….proximity to our house and, based on their website, they specialize in repairing Audis. After having the car a couple of days and hooking it up to their diagnostic machine they provided the Estimate of Services saying I needed to replace the fuel pump, water pump, oil separator assembly and upper timing chain cover…...In all over $2,700, which we paid.My son picked up his car after the work was completed and before arriving at our house it started misfiring badly again. I instructed him to turn around and take the car back to Carma which he did.Carma had the car for about a week and informed me that they could not identify the problem and that they were having the car towed to a nearby Audi dealership. The dealership quickly identified the problem as a timing chain issue. Carma informed me that the additional cost to replace the timing chain would be $2,800 + taxes and fees but Carma would ‘only’ charge me $2,450 for the additional work.By this time I realized I had been taken advantage of. I called the Audi dealership directly and informed them that I would have nothing further to do with Carma…..that they would be dealing directly with me going forward. I also found out that the Audi dealership had quoted Carma $2,000 for the timing chain work, meaning that on top of the $2,700 I had already paid Carma for work that did not fix my problem, Carma was also trying to make another $450 for the work that Audi was about to do.Once I got the car back I called Carma and gave them a chance to do the right thing. I asked for ½ of my $2,700 back, work that did not need to be done in the first place. I would chalk it up to ‘preventative maintenance’. If they agreed, I would walk away and not write this terrible review. However, Carma refused to reimburse anything, saying they ‘fixed’ what their diagnostic machine told them to fix. The specific response was that their diagnostic machine could not find the exact problem (the timing chain) until all of the other ‘fixes’ had taken place. What they couldn’t explain was why their diagnostic machine didn’t identify the real problem, even after they ‘fixed’ all of the work they said initially needed to be done. Also, Carma could not explain why their technicians didn’t notice the damaged timing chain even when they replaced the Upper Timing Chain Cover.In all, now I’ve spent over $4,500 to repair a car that probably has a trade value of about $7k.Again, I don’t have an issue with mistakes...we all make them. But I do have an issue with people that prove a lack of integrity.I’ve now read all of the bad reviews on Carma. Carma has a way of spinning the issue/problem on the customer and maybe sometimes, to a certain extent, that is true but in this case I can assure you my situation is the perfect reason why you do not want to take your car to this place.
What a reliable and great service, I was very happy with the professional service, the accurate detail of price estimate (mine was easy to estimate), the very well documented diagnosis of my vehicle and the videos and customer portal to notify of your inspection. What a great car shop! You guys just gain a customer for life!
We were on a trip through the area and had an issue with a heater hose leak. The team at CARma got us back on the road the same day and since we were staying a short distance away, even delivered our car to our hotel when it was fixed and ready to go. I would definitely use them again.

I came to this location needing to fix my A/C and get a routine oil change. They looked into what else needed to be fixed and they gave me a reasonable and affordable quote. The drive belt on my husband’s car EXPLODED on the freeway, leaving us stranded at the Georgia welcome center. AAA was able to tow the car to CARma auto care, where the belt was quickly replaced in just a few hours. The owner even gave us a ride to the outlet mall so we could get some shopping done while we waited. Repair costs were fair and the service was prompt. We would gladly recommend CARma to our family and friends.
I stumbled across this shop recently. Im not usually trusting of places that Im unfamiliar with. I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience. From the customer service to the timely manner in which my work was completed. The young lady at the desk was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Took my vehicle in for an extremely complicated Air Conditioner repair. The work was high quality at a fair price. Love having cold air again.
I called Moira at CARma to get a second opinion on my brakes and rotors (a different place quoted me for rear pads and rotors) and felt like I was calling a friend. They took my car in, let me see and feel the rotors, showed me that it was in fact the FRONT rotors that were warped, and saved me another couple thousand or so miles on my rear pads. I received a text with a link to a super advanced digital inspection with pictures of my rotors and suggestions of what work to get done next (need a new air filter- there was also a picture of that). Since my engine light has been on and off for the past 6 months, they also quoted me on a part (purge solenoid) that another auto shop failed to notify me of when I had gotten an engine diagnostics test. Moira offered and drove me home so I wouldn’t be waiting all day. When I came to pick the car up at the end of the day, my car was washed. I experienced the kindest, most knowledgeable customer service from an auto care center. My day was made.Folks, the reviews and ratings are true. I am SO glad I decided to get a second opinion with CARma, now they will forever be the only shop my boyfriend and I go to. No BS here, just helpful, caring people! I have taken my cars to CARma for almost a year now. Reasonable cost, quick service and excellent customer service.Update 4/15/19 I have an older 2005 Camry with 185000 miles and I had to take a last minute road trip to Delaware and back this weekend. Moira took a look and assured me that my car was good to go and I didnt need any major work done prior to leaving. I was confident hitting the road and made the trip without incident.
I would never refer this company nor would i ever go back.. Keep any foreign car away from this place. My car has now been sitting for 7 months after all the money and time waisted. I had to purchase a new car on top of that. Stick with the dealership no matter the age of ur vehicle or how much they charge! And if u do get a second opinion and take a male!

Discovered them about 6 months ago when I had car trouble. Now they work on all 3 of my cars and they are the best. Glad to have them so close to work near airport. Free shuttle also super helpful. Love the email report with photos very detailed.

I have had work done at this shop twice, Im afraid I will not be going back. They seemed conscientious the first time I brought my truck in, although they replaced a part that did not fix the problem, but I took that as something that can happen when trying to determining what is causing the problem. It did increase the total cost of the repair, but I accepted that. This time it was a simple replacement of my front shock absorbers. I dropped it off at 8:30 AM but, I did not get a call from them until some time after 4 PM. This caused me some anxiety (I called twice during the day, to find out the status). I checked the cost of the shocks online ($70 for a pair), but they charged me $89 per shock, with a total cost of $369. This seemed excessive to me.....so, I will not be going back to them again.
Unbelievable experience. Such great customer experience, Steve is so nice and keeps you up to date with whats going on with your car, and Nikki up front is also incredibly nice and easy to talk to. Car repair is usually stressful, but they make it easy. Dont settle for some commercialized auto care center, choose the treated like family CARma experience! Would give 6 out of 5 if possible. Great work guys!

Our cars AC broke down on our trip down to Florida. We tried driving without it for half a day but it was unbearable so we decided to get it fixed in Savannah. We called around to several places but none of them had the type of AC compressor our car needed. When we called CARma they immediately said they could take care of that for us and that it would take about 5 hours. We were quoted a price of about $1000 to replace the compressor and refill with freon, which was $400 dollars cheaper than we were quoted from other auto shops. The repair was completed in 5 hours as promised and we were able to get back on the road and finish our drive to Florida in comfort! One final detail to note is that one of the staff members drove my wife back to our hotel in her personal vehicle instead of her having to wait at the shop. This made the whole repair process a great deal less stressful and was truly appreciated. Things like this are what make some companies stand out from the rest. I highly recommend this business for your car repair needs.
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Good location to GAC. Have been in Savannah for the past 5+ years and frequently changed the auto shops until I met them 2 years ago. I do the service there from oil change to parts replacement & repair. They send electronic reports with pictures via cellphone about what they inspect about the car. They tell you what the new conditions the parts should be, how much the parts have been left, and what the current conditions the parts are. More importantly, they give you suggestions based on the real conditions without any exaggeration.

I find the people at Carma to be very personable and friendly. They have been very good about communicating about the problems they found in a way I can understand, which gives me confidence that they know what they are doing. CARma goes the distance. When my dashboard was broken during install of a new $1300 A/C Moira apologized. 5 weeks later, when the part to fill the wide gap in the missing dashboard finally came in... it took over an hr. of my time to have it get broken again! I know accidents happen... And no one likes waiting... I do have a busy business and clients to manage... Moira... MY TIME IS VALUABLE TOO! So maybe a free oil change when that another new part for my still broken dashboard comes in? The company that finally fixed my dashboard did it in 25 minutes without breaking it...
What an awesome company with the best of staff. I was so thankful to find them in the midst of car trouble, while traveling out of state last weekend. I was greeted with a warm welcome, the service was top notch and I was back on the road in a flash. You dont find places like this anymore- a true gem!

Great job on the repair. Had to come back because tires werent rotated as stated on ticket. Mechanic said he didnt rotate them because 1 needed more weight. That is NOT the mechanics call to make without notifying the customer. Not only was I charged for rotation when it wasnt done, but, more importantly, that is a maintenance record. Repairs are good, quick and fair pricing. Eliminate or reduce the side issues and youll be top-notch!

I work pretty much the same hours as carma, so its pretty hard to get my vehicle serviced. But Moira and her crew are the most accommodating people Ive ever had the pleasure to do business with. They picked up my vehicle from my house and offered to drop it off after completion. Im glad to know the life of my jeep is in great hands!

Good Customer Service although I took my car with a partial problem and now it is worse. My AC did not work only when I stopped at a red light while driving. After they looked at the car to diagnose, the AC does not work at all now. Want $1400 to fix. I am going to try to talk to the mechanic to see why it stopped working completely, after they looked at it.

I have used their service for all four of my used cars, including my BMW. I really like the convenience of leaving my vehicle with them while I travel for work, as well as the fact that they will shuttle me back and forth from the airport. They have competitive prices as well. I also like the links to their inspection reports that they send me electronically, which include photos as well as a detailed summary.

We were traveling to Orlando when our brakes failed. Luckily we were taking the exit off for a quick lunch break. I googled the closest auto repair shop (still open on a Friday afternoon) and knew CARma was the one. They took our car in right away and got us back on the road that same night ! It was my first visit at carma auto and I was happy with the service. The wait wasn’t long and they were very reasonable. After the diagnosis, they found out I had an issue with cv axles. The wait was 3hours so they came and picked up the car from my work and they stayed after the closing hours to ensure the job was done and dropped the car back which saved me so much time.
CARma always comes through every time Ive had the need for my vehicle maintenance done. Thanks for the great work yall do.
Moira and her staff at Carma Auto Care took care of my truck maintenance needs today. I went in for an oil change, coolant flush and tansmission fluid and filter change and also had them do a few other checks that were concerning me. She showed me on my truck what I was experiencing and that it wasnt a safety issue or that it needed to be replaced right away, however I appreciated the detail she took in explaining it to me and what the expenses will be when I decide to bring it in for the corrective repairs.Her staff was very friendly & kept me posted while I waited for the repairs to be completed. They have earned a repeat customer and I will spread the word of their excellent customer service and honesty!

I am a repeat customer and have always been very pleased with the service provided by Carma Auto Care. I had a problem with my vehicle not cranking this morning and thought it would require a new (very expensive) battery to fix. Carma tested the battery, the alternator and the starter and diagnosed the problem as merely a loose terminal to battery connection and charged me absolutely nothing for their services. I will remain a repeat customer and will continue to recommend them to others.

Moira was so helpful!! My car was flooded during a storm and I was having some delays with my insurance company and she always kept me in the loop and even offered to help with the insurance process. I was super stressed but CARma Auto Care keep in contact every step of the way and even included pictures and updates throughout the process. Highly recommend!! I was new to the area and was nervous to trust my car with a place Ive never worked with before, but I can say Im so glad I chose them!

Been to Carma several times now since moving into the area for my aging vehicle. They do well at keeping appointment times, charging reasonable rates for parts and labor and pointing out areas that will need to be watched. The owner makes sure that the work is done right. They even have dropped me off at work and delivered the car after it was complete. Ill keep coming here as long as I work in the area.
CARma takes auto repair to another level with their personalized service. If you are heading to the airport, drop your car off with them and it will be fixed, ready and waiting for you when you return. What a great idea!!
Exceptional customer service, like no other! I dropped my car off on the way to the airport. They not only dropped me off at the airport, but they sent me diagnostic photos throughout the process. I was still able to see what was going on with my car when I wasnt there. When I flew back into town, my car was ready and parked in Valet at the airport for me! Im BEYOND impressed with CARma!

Wanted to share my experience with carma. I have taken my vehicles to multiple places in my life and I have been happy with a few. But I have never experienced what carma provided for us. Total family feeling top notch in all aspects. Calls returned immediately could not be more satisfied. Will definitely be back.Thank again.
My brother took his vehicle there yesterday to get it checked out due to another auto care advised him that his vehicle needed a new transmission.When he visited from this business the male and female at the front desk told him that they will do a diagnostic for him and if they determined that the prior auto care had discover the same issue Carma Auto finds, there will be no charge for the diagnostic.Even though CarmaAuto had already agreed that there wouldnt be any charges in such case. After they ran a diagnostic and discover the same issue they told him he still have to pay $59 for the diagnostic which he had already paid another auto care. They told me that they will hold his vehicle there until $59 is paid.After my brother told they that he should not pay when he was offered and agreement, they called the police on my brother and asked the police to charge my brother with Criminal Trespass! How would I trust a business as such with my vehicle or any other family members?I guess if you are a colored person, this is not a place for you to service your vehicle. Make sure you pay whatever they ask for or else Airport Police will be called and you will be unfeasibly charged with some type of criminal code.Its a shame we still have businesses as such operating in Pooler. When I went there to help resolve the situation between my brother and the business, the woman started yelling at me! Of course I am just another colored skinned man!Good luck going there to get your vehicle serviced! My brother was banned from the business by the request of front desk and enforced by Airport Police. This business is abusing the Airport Police service! They need attention from their higher management.
They saved me over $600 and helped me to NOT get taken by another automotive center. They squeezed me in and treated me fairly, I love going there despite the fact that its usually because my car is lit up like the fourth of july!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
