Nothing about car buying is easy these days. But what a contrast between my local dealer and family-owned and run Critz. Everything about dealing with them was easy, in fact a pleasure. Mike Meyer helped me buy a car I had never seen, with confidence and the certainty that I was getting about as good a deal as I was going to find in this era of slime inventories and long waits for custom orders. He even delivered it 2.5 hours away. You are crazy not to give these folks a shot the next time you are in-market even if youre buying online.

I was looking to trade my 2016 BMW GT for something newer so I applied online, called CRITZ and spoke with Katie on 9/14. She made the process so seamless and kept me updated every step of the way. Being able to text and receive immediate replies or phone calls was an awesome experience. I went to the dealership on 9/16 met Katie and finished everything up with her and the awesome Finance Manager Jill. Everyone was very welcoming and entire process was smooth. The team here at critz is a rare site in the car sales industry. Even after I bought my car they were super helpful. A month after buying it someone ran a red light and totalled it. Not only were they helpful with that process but they did everything they could to save me money(canceled the plate transfer so I wouldnt have to pay taxes, canceled the warranty at a full refund). Phil and Jill are amazing.

On my actual move from ATL to Savannah, my car showed engine malfunction light. I called and set an appt to drop it off with service. Quote was high IMO and I shopped it around. Was quoted by a shop close by much less. I spoke to the service coordinator and she had little to offer me to keep my business, in fact rather put off she would need to be competitive, so went to get the car and take elsewhere. I mean, who can walk away from $1k difference? When I got to the svc ctr, I asked to speak to the Manager, Charles, before I left. He listened and came up with a much better price, athough wasnt as much as other quote, it was worth it to keep with BMW. OK, now just fix the car. I waited for an update, and waited. Text svc gal, no response. Email, nope. VM, nope again. No one is communicating with me. Called main number for service dept, no call back. Finally, getting quite alarmed, called Charles. He had no idea why no one was calling me, but, my car was ready. So, how long did my car sit there? I dont know but I can tell you when the svc gal wanted 5 stars for her service, I declined. If you ever feel youre getting the run-around, do ask for Charles.

I have had my 2016 Buick Encore for a couple of years. I was quoted it would take maybe a week to get my car looked at. But Chris Damron took amazing care of my car and let me know that it was looked at sooner and I was quoted at an amazing low price. I got a call the next day saying the car was ready. Excellent service and the car is working fabulous. I will be back again. Ask for Chris Damron! He handled things professionally and quick

I do not live in an area where I can get my car service due to the fact that there aren’t any BMW dealers. The nearest is an hour away. I made an appointment to get my car serviced on 16 Apr. It was due for a full vehicle check and oil change. They also replaced the cabin filter. I also paid $17.96 for BMW for repair order (not sure what that is).5 days later, Apr 21 my check coolant light came on. I panic because it says that it could cause engine damage if not replaced. I didn’t feel safe to drive it back to Savannah in that condition. When I called Critz service department, I was told that I could top off the coolant myself if it was low and that it could be a leak if it’s not just low. I asked why wasn’t it checked during the vehicle check that I paid for and why wasn’t the liquids checked and topped off? I asked if that was the usual and he said no. The total cost for my service was $386.66. As a BMW owner/customer, when I take my car to get serviced at a BMW dealership, I am trusting that they are doing what is supposed to be done. There isn’t an excuse for them not checking the coolant and replacing it when I got a full oil change and vehicle check. Then to be told that I could “do it myself “ Is totally outrageous. If they didn’t do the minimum such as checking fluid levels, I’m wondering what else didn’t they do. I use my car for work and I don’t feel safe for the simple fact that I don’t trust that they completed the necessary work on my car.

I am 20 years retired from the car business, and my wife and I decided to purchase a new vehicle, We went to Critz BMW to check out a new X5. We met Phillip Ellison who showed us the car and shared some information about the himself and the dealership. We both felt Phillip was friendly and very informed on the BMW line. We thoroughly enjoyed working him. We ordered the exact X5 we wanted from him, and it arrived in 3 weeks! (helps that the factory is in S.C.) When we went to take delivery, Phillip had the car gassed, cleaned and waiting. It was at this point we met with Jillian in the finance department to finalize all the paperwork. Again another delightful experience, with no pressure from a friendly, knowledgeable professional. Based on my experience I would highly recommend Criitz BMW and Phillip and Jillian when considering your next vehicle.

Katie was fantastic. This BMW is my seventh since 2012. My first from Critz in Savannah. My last two were from a dealer in Jax that was horrible. Katie worked hard for me and was very transparent, professional, and her knowledge is unbelievable. From the first time we spoke back in late 2020 to me calling her when my convertible was being serviced she was always trustworthy and giving of her time. The rental they gave me I fell in love with so I purchased an Alphine White 2021 version of the rental and drove it home yesterday. Critz dealership does it all right. This was the best purchase I’ve made on any BMW and I highly recommended Katie and Critz. From the sale to the financing paper signing they were very transparent. Now we are looking at trading in my partners GT as Katie was so great I know we will be taken care of. Unlike my horrible JAX experience Critz doesn’t want to sell you a car, they want to form a relationship and let me tell you, they did.

Critz is definitely one of the most easy going dealerships Ive been to in the area. They allow you to have a pressure free test drive without jumping through hoops, which to me one of the most important aspects of a dealership. Why talk about trade ins, payoffs, and finance if you dont even know if you like the car you came to look for yet?I bought a car from Jesse and the process was very low key from start to finish. I was allowed a longer test drive so I could feel the car at higher speeds. I could communicate through text and email which made it convenient around my work schedule. Even when I told him I was looking at other cars at different dealerships, there was no pressure to come back and buy the one on his lot. There were no aggressive tactics when negotiating, just straight forward service. I highly recommend both Critz and Jesse if you are in the market for a new or new-to-you car.

I just had my first service at this dealership and I have to say: this will be the BMW dealership I go to from now on.I was pushing the service interval on my car (60,000 mile service and I brought it in with just under 70,000 miles), so I thought I was going to get dinged with all kinds of unnecessary maintenance. However, this was not the case. They were honest and will be getting my business going forward.I’ve been driving a BMW since 2014 (first a 3 series, now a 2 series). I’ve been a bit of a loyalist to the brand I suppose. That being said, I’ve dealt with 4 BMW dealerships and this was the best experience by far (I’d highly recommend that other BMW dealerships learn from here).

This was the best buying experience I have ever had. Jesse was exceptional. After searching the south eastern part of the U. S. for a new 430i, convertible, I locate one at Critz BMW, it had almost all the options we were looking for. When I called about the car Jesse told me it was going to be at the dealership soon, and was available. After a brief discussion I explained that I would be in Savannah in a couple weeks and I would buy the car as long as it was on the lot for me to look at. I gave them a deposit. Jesse kept me up to date on the car and was confident it would be there when when we arrive. When we landed in Savannah, Jesse contacted me with not such good news. He said the car had been held up at the port and they were trying to get it expedited to the dealership. I reminded him we would only be in Savannah for a few days. As the days pasted he kept us updated, however the car hadn’t arrived. On the day of our departure, Jesse called with news that the car was on the way. We had a late afternoon flight and my confidence level was very low. He said they would process my refund in the afternoon. Just before we started for the airport he called, and, said you’re not going to believe this but it’s here. He sent pictures of it on the transporter and confirmed the vin. We arrived at the dealership the next day to pick up the car and drive the 1100 miles home. The transaction was flawless everyone at Critz BMW was fantastic. Thanks Jesse for hanging in there, we have a great story to go with that car.

Unbelievably bad communication! I was told repairs were done. Car keys handed to me. I get in the car idrive screen doesnt turn on. Why was the car handed back to me, when that was the main reason the car went it? Absolutely ridiculous!

After spending an amazing week at Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we headed home toward Birmingham through Savannah. Crossing your beautiful suspension bridge, an alarm sounded in my husband’s Porsche Cayenne. We had somehow blown a tire and it was going totally flat by the seconds. Coming off the bridge, we took the first exit off I-16, found a parking lot where we called AAA, and had them come to help with the spare tire. While they were working on the spare, I called several tire dealers and found that some could get the tire we wanted. Since it was a Friday, some could order the tire, but it would be Monday before it would arrive in their stores. Of course, I thought…hmmm, a weekend in Savannah could be great, but my husband was anxious to get back on the road. We learned that the nearest Porsche dealership was in Hilton Head an hour back in the direction where we started…and our Birmingham Porsche dealer had warned that we couldn’t drive far on the spare.One of the tire vendors, suggested that we might try your BMW dealership and that you might have the tire we wanted. I called and your wonderful Executive Assistant, Hannah Autry answered. Maybe it was the panic in my voice, but I suspect that she is always most cheerful and helpful with everyone. She put me on hold, checked to see if you had the tire in stock, and in minutes returned to let me know you had ONE!!! “Put my name on it. We are headed your way.” Hannah was not only pleasant, but very efficient in getting us to your location. I was thrilled to learn it was only 13 minutes away. Once we arrived, Caleigh Kessler, our Service Advisor, efficiently handled getting our vehicle into service (even though it was a Porsche), the tire replaced, our billed paid, and we were on our way in about an hour. Amazing!!My husband and I have both run businesses for forty years and know the challenges of keeping an excellent staff. I was travelling to Savannah for the long weekend. On the way from NC to Savannah I got oil level warning. Oil change wasnt due for another couple of months so that was alarming. I was able to put in a quart and somehow get to Savannah by late night with no issues.It was Saturday and the earliest available appointment at Critz was Tuesday (Monday was holiday). But when I told them of the issue (Dave Minadeo was my service advisor) and that I had to drive 6 hours back to NC next day they took a drop in appointment and fixed the issue for me. It was big relief for me and my wife before a long drive back home.Very understanding and accurate service!

I purchased a 2008 528i BMW I had doubts about the purchase, but was told that the Car was in perfect condition. Then 2 day later I tried to return the car but the finace manger stated that I was to late for return. Less then 30 days later I brought the car back to the dealership due to a malfunction in the computer system. The total to get the car fixed was $4,000. When I purchase the car I paid $8,000 which was a fair price because the of year. I haven’t had a good 30 days to enjoy the car. I took the word of the sells and finace manger about the cars history. My car I still stuck up and trying to make the payments. I give the dealership and the sells manger and the finace manger ZERO STARS. (They stated that the car had GOOD SERVICE HISTORY THROUGHT CRITZ BMW so I purchased the car.)

Marvelous experience. Privately owned dealership so they can make timely decisions. Staff is extremely friendly, responsive. I had ordered a customer BMW from the factory but due to the CV pandemic the supply chain of electronics parts was no more. The rep, Philip, was able to broker a deal for me on a demo M550, more car than I originally desired, but in the end, I could not turn down the offer. I am a very happy customer. Looking forward to a visit from the BMW genius to teach me how to use all the fancy electronics

I didnt like how I bring my car in for one thing, and they give me a list of everything wrong. Most places give you a diagnosisseparate to what you are coming for what you come for primarily. I couldnt get a technician to explain what was going on. I only dealt with someone in sales. Besides paying 130 bucks for a diagnosis what they told me needed to be done to fix my problem wasnt even the problem. If you actually try things to save some people money to maintain the cars you sell you may gain more customers for maintenance or even more buyers of your cars. I dont know if thats the case. Ive repeatedly reached out to the customer service rep that said to contact him anytime and he didnt reach back to me. Anyway, I took my car somewhere else and all I needed was a new battery for my AC blower to work correct. Plus, that new battery made all of my trouble indicators go away. Very displeased. Not going to throw anyone under the bus but you all get business for car maintenance and can definitely do better than what you do.

Critz’s customer service in the service department was awful. It actually took more effort to give garbage customer service and lie about it then it would have taken to give great customer service. If you want to drive a BMW in Savannah and get BMW level customer service be prepared to drive to SC.

When I left my home for Savannah,an hour away; I noticed my car charger was not working. I only had the 2017 BMW X3 delivered 2 months ago and it had worked. It was disappointing since Ive been having problems with my cell.But I was able to charge through the console outlet.When I got to Savannah for a pre scheduled appointment, the person was running late. So I thought I had remembered that there was a BMW dealer nearby. There was and I drove over to CRITZ and they took me in right away, and as expected, it was only a fuse. They have a very inviting and comfortable waiting area, where I made a friend and they washed my car.Very friendly staff and a pleasant experience.

I called before I took my vehicle in. Told them what I had done an asked if they could do diagnostic to find what was wrong with my car. Now I’m being told it’s a part that I already replaced because they can dish real problem. Almost $300 out the door for nothing! Wouldn’t take my freaking wheelbarrow to them! Update. Took it to Rick Hendrick mini. Took about 1 hr to find DME bad. That’s the computer. Which is what I said when I brought it to you. You lost out absolutely nothing you said was wrong with my car actually was. Your service advisor that I spoke to the week prior said they could do the diagnostic. So please get your facts right. I have all documentation to prove what I’m saying. Do you? No I don’t want to speak to you. You wouldn’t make time when I came to your dealership. Why would I give you the courtesy that I didn’t receive.

Me and my wife were interested in purchasing a vehicle from you guys. However, upon arrival noone came to greet us. Once I located a salesman he didnt introduce himself or anything. After I told him our interest, he took me straight to the used car section. He never offered me any info on the vehicles. My wife had to ask specific questions and he only answered what was asked. He didnt give us any details of the vehicles unless we asked. We never looked at any new vehicles and I had to ask him for his card . His name is Jesse Summers. We were dressed comfortable that day so I guess he stereotyped us but my wife is a science professor and Im a staffing and payroll coordinator for a nonprofit organization. Hopefully Jesse treats his other clients better than the treatment we received. I mentioned to him that i know it was the end of the day and he didnt seemed interested,,, his response was, Im cool.

First of all, Jesse is a star! He is kind, trustworthy and strategized to get me the best deal so I could stay in a BMW. I love BMWs and have been driving them for years. Because as usual the service people were trying to finesse me out of money. I went there already knowing what my issue was. (Battery reprogramming) With that being known I was confident that I did not need a diagnostic. The guy at the service desk was very pushy on trying to get me to pay for a diagnostic. I told him that if somehow that wasn’t the problem I would then pay for a diagnostic. At the time when he offered me the diagnostic he gave me one price less than $100 I can’t remember exactly. I think it was about $84. Also he kept trying to advise me it was my starter and maybe I should get that changed too. I advised him that I am not one of your rich customers who he could just get to pay everything he throws out and politely asked him to stop trying to sell me stuff. Plus he’s not the actual mechanic. I could tell he was upset. I even predicted that he was going to try and tell me that wasn’t my issue. My car sat there from 11:00 all the way til 3:00 I went back and it still was not done. He called an hour later and told me that wasn’t the issue and that he would have to run a two hour diagnostic which would be $175. In my mind I was wondering how the diagnostic price went up. At first he didn’t know how long it take so he should’ve honored the price. I asked to speak with a manager who seemed a little more pleasant. A little bit of time went by (less than an hour) I was gonna informed that they messed with something and we’re able to perform the battery reprogramming. So if I would’ve let that guy finesse me, I would’ve paid for two hours of work that only took 10 minutes to find out what the issue was. And still no one can tell me what it is they did so they could program my battery. I have expressed this sort of concern in the last survey I was given. And I still was treated the same. They are really pushy and sneaky. Please do something about this. I understand that this is a business and you try to make money. But what about the relationship with the customers. I brought it to Bmw because I thought I was part of a BMW family and would be treated so. The same person told me last time that I needed a new car and transmission. It turned out i just needed spark plugs. If he isn’t a mechanic he should not mechanical advise in order to upsell to a customer. Because clearly he has been wrong on several occasions.

She called me to keep me updated and informed. She had a positive attitude and made me feel like a valued customer. Ive had not so good experiences before at this location and usually take my vehicle to get serviced at Rick Hendrick BMW in Charleston, SC, but thanks to Sandy I will begin to bring my car to location again. It took calling three times and being transferred five times - mostly from the Mercedes-Benz desk - for someone to actually answer the phone. Once I finally got someone on the phone, they didn’t want to take the time to sell me an oil filter, oil, and spark plugs. Could have been an easy win if the employees would’ve taken the initiative.

Easy to schedule appointment on-line; Nikki was great. She had training the week of my service in Florida and needed to leave my information with another service representative so they may contact me when the car was completed. Would be zero stars took my bmw in for oil change they broke the cap let me leave like that and had oil spilling all over my engine. Went back and they say that it was an aftermarket cap which was bs because I looked up part and was oem. Made me spend 60 dollars on new cap further mechanics mistake. Will never bring my car back

Took care in for recalls to be fixed. Received my car with trash and now the cup holder no longer works. It was holding a cup when I droped it off. Cup is on floor of car and cup holder is now stuck in the dash.Talked to Charles and he worked with me to take care of damage that was not discovered until I returned home. Car will be fixed in a couple of weeks at their expense.

I purchased my 328i convertible at Critz and, although I live 2 hours away, I will make the drive to Savannah to have them service my car. They had the car finished in a couple of hours so I was able to head back to Florida before the rush on I95.

Ive been here twice to have warranty work and maintenance done on my X5. The quality of work seems good but they always forget to put stuff back in my car. The first time they left my engine cover off and promised they didnt have it because they didnt go under the hood. The next day they called back and told me they found it. This last time I went I had my brake fluid flushed and refilled. This time they used the lug key from my trunk and never replaced it. They claim they never used it. I did use it about a week earlier and personally put it back. They still claim they dont have it. Make sure you check everything on your car before you leave...Update: After posting this review I was contacted by the service manager who agreed to replace the missing lug key.

The courtesy that was shown to me, at Critz BMW, when I was shopping for a new car was amazing. Jim Kuwalchuck, my salesman, was so helpful in answering my questions and was extra patient with me when I would change my mind and switch directions on him. Not once was there ever the feeling of pressure. Everyone from the manager on down introduced themselves to me and offered their help if I would ever need it.This kind of service is hard to find these days. Awesome service. Stationed at Fort Stewart and would gladly drive to Savannah to Critz vs the Chevy dealer in Hinesville or the Chevy dealer a few miles closer in Savannah. The service department fully diagnosed and fixed an issue that Mike Reed Chevrolet seemed to overlook two weeks prior. The service/repair was quick and staff seemed to legitimately care about the work they do. Absolutely recommend over any other GM related dealer/service center in the area!
