The Rug shoppe, and Brenda in particular, has been one of the best local businesses we have had the pleasure of dealing with. We’re a young family and bought a fixer-upper and we were on an extremely tight budget and timeline initially and Brenda helped us to piece together some carpet to get for our bedrooms so that the space was comfortable for the kids when we first moved in. That experience ledus back to Brenda and the Rug shoppe when we had saved enough to get the flooring for the rest of the house, and after installation we couldn’t be more pleased. The craftsmen were very professional and get an A++. My one year old is so excited to be crawling around the house and the results look fantastic. If you’re looking forThe highest-quality and professional experience, go to the Rug shoppe for your flooring needs and ask for Brenda!
Rick is a master of his craft and Joel is right there beside him. We needed wood flooring installed to match where built-ins were ripped out, as well as on stairs, in closets and a second floor. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. They found creative solutions to problems that came up, as problems inevitably do. Our floors look amazing, the price was fair and we highly recommend them!
Largo Beverage Superstore choose the Rug Shoppe to completely redo our floors when we expanded our business. Tom and Ted went above and beyond to complete the job . Ted worked extremely long hours, his work is the best in Savannah. We would highly recommend anyone wanting flooring to use the Rug Shoppe and ask for Ted if you want the best man to do the job.
Relocated to a new house needing 5 bedrooms and stairs completed. Female sales was able to locate the carpet I wanted easily. However the installation process was terrible. I was very sick the first day and had to cancel. She rescheduled into 3 afternoon days that would be easier to manage 2 toddlers and naps. However another customer canceled their morning appointment and she wanted to send him out short notice when I was not home. She called and left 2VM and then started texting from her personal phone telling me I needed to let him come right then. I was not able to make it home in the morning however I did try as I felt bad for cancelling the first time. Since the other customer cancelled they sent him home for the entire day. My afternoon appointment was then cancelled. She spent the evening sending inappropriate texts from her personal phone into 10PM at night turning the entire day into my fault and to Be ready at 0900 AM next Thursday so he can finish the last 4 areas. I declined and she gave me to morning half days a week apart again. Those two days turned into full days. He would never have been able to complete them in one. There was only one installer who brought another man to help remove the old carpet/pad and place the new pad. I found him smoking in my attached garage ashing on the garage floor/sitting on one of my new rolls of carpet. The owner said he only hires the contractor and he was the contractors responsibility. Another service with contractors you have to be careful who you are letting in your house. The day after he was done she left a VM and sent an email at the same time saying the job was done and asked if I wanted to put the remaining balance on the same credit card or a different payment method. I had given her a credit card the the deposit 1 month prior over the phone. She decided to keep that number without permission. She then immediately charged the card the very exact date without waiting for a reply. I noticed after he left the master bedroom had a very bad transition from the ceramic tile to the carpet. It was a laminate transition that was glued on the two ends only. You could put your toes completely underneath on the carpet side. When I called the owner to have him look at the transitions (some of them the carpet was not completely underneath) he said he would have him come back out to look and fix. I asked about buying new better ones. The owner apologized for the female sales representative and said he would send him out to look at them and said they could replace them if needed. I offered to buy new ones, especially the one that shouldnt have been put there to begin with by the previous installer. However when the contractor arrived he told me they looked fine and he doesnt replace transitions anyway. He offered to glue the other transition floor. He then got very angry in front of my saying he was told to just come out and fix something that day with what he had. He knew nothing about possible new transitions. He kept saying he did not place the bad transition to begin with however I never implied that he did. I just wanted to get a new one. He then stated I was being hard to deal with. (Because I wouldnt let him glue down a laminate transition onto tile and carpet.). I asked him to leave. The owner then changed his tune stating transitions were not in the scope of work he did however they offered to fix it but I would have to buy the transition myself. My other option was to let him glue it. I now have to find someone whos scope of practice this is in to fix. A good contractor would have pointed this out to someone who just moved into a home and not leave it that way. I spent $7000 total. I will only go by referral next time and just hire a contractor myself.
Stopped by 5 minutes before they closed just to take a quick peek and the man behind the counter wasnt willing to help when we asked him if he had any area rugs, all he could say was lights are out, we close in 5 minutes and that is why I wont be back. He could have said ANYTHING more helpful.
We have had the best experience working with The Rug Shoppe, specifically Brenda Nelson, in purchasing LVP flooring for our new home. Brenda has gone above and beyond in meeting our needs and even providing guidance as we decided to self-install. She is exceptional! You cannot beat the customer service and genuine kindness found here. We couldn’t recommend Brenda and The Rug Shoppe more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Found this place about a year ago. You cant beat the selection. The carpet remnants are the best deal by far. I recently replaced carpet in a bedroom for under $100
Very knowledgeable staff with a wide variety of products. We have used them for multiple projects in multiple houses. Hardwood, tile, vinyl, carpet, rugs etc. They offer it all and have great installers. Easy quote process with free measurements. Pretty sure they offer financing as well. Great place and highly recommend.
Kevin is always very easy to deal with, always looks out for us, and makes sure we have the best thing we can get for our situation. We use them for all of our rental properties and apartments! If you have any needs for flooring, call them!
I recently had a business Trip in Savannah Georgia. I was at a business next door to The Rug Shoppe and had to step outside to take a phone call. I walked away towards The Rug shoppe parking lot to take my phone call when I was stopped by someone who worked inside of the store. The man asked me if he could help me with something. When I said “no thank you, I am at the business next door.” He firmly demanded, “GO BACK OVER THERE THEN!” I asked him if he would repeat himself to be clear. He then said to me, “You don’t need to be on this side! You need to go back to where you were because we have had cars broken into,” in a very nasty and rude tone. He continued and made it very clear that I fit the stereotype of a thief because of my skin tone. As I was walking off he threatened to call police.I am a very fair person, however, this employee made it extremely obvious that this was about race. He made it so obvious that I felt a need to write a review to help encourage someone to not be faced with the same experience.I was not a customer of this establishment, but urge people who do not stand for this type of nonsense to NOT SHOP HERE, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
Pleasant experience.
Kevin is very helpful
This is our SECOND wonderful experience with the rug shoppe. We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to use someone we trusted and felt valued our business, no matter how many times we called and asked a question. Kevin has the patience of a saint as you see just one more sample and look at one more color. I just cant say enough about how much I feel they offer great customer service, quality work and service AFTER the sale! It is with the utmost confidence that we enter into home renovations where they are involved. It is clear they always want to make sure you are satisfied. It is a great feeling in this day and age!
Great day. Brenda and Tom are very helpful. Great visit left with samples. We have used Brenda before. She is wonderful. Thanks Sheryl
I needed new hardwood floors. I went to there and they had a huge selection. They offered to bring samples to my home and help me choose the exact floor I was looking for. The workers installing the floor were careful and did a very good job. I also needed a new rug and I found just what I wanted. They brought it to me and set it up. Im so pleased with how everything looks. Thanks Rug Shoppe!
The Rug Shoppe has been our go-to company for carpet, area rugs, tile and more for years. A few days ago they installed new wall to wall carpeting in our guest room. The removal of the old carpet & pad and installation of the new carpet went smoothly, and the results are outstanding. Just beautiful! Our guest room was due for a makeover, so The Rug Shoppe was first on the list for carpet selection. Kevin helped me find the right carpet and was a pleasure to work with. We look forward to many more years as satisfed customers.
First off, I have never been inside of this business. You might be asking how I could possibly give them a 5 star review then, right? Well, they sort of share a parking lot/driveway with the Savannah Sharks cheer. That place is insanely crazy and I have yet to hear of any of the employees at the Rug Shoppe harming anyone over it. That in my book should earn them a 6th star. (Google, I know you are listening)
Very helpful
Bert was very friendly and helpful. He understood that I had to stick to a budget and helped me find thethe perfect carpet!
Cant beat the selection of different flooring and price
Great service
Great costomer service! Everyone is awsome there!!!
We had very expensive carpet installed in our living room about a month ago. $2600 for one room is not cheap stuff. We realized before the day was over that we just did not like the carpet. It happens. Our fault. We picked it out. We just did not like how it looked once it was in our house. We contacted Kevin. He asked us to come back into the shop and pick something else. So we did. They installed it today. It cost us nothing extra. Zero. In fact it ended up being about $700 cheaper. True story, and I have the paperwork to back it up. Thank you Kevin. You made a very stressful situation easy to deal with. We will be back. Customer service, at its best.
Bought area rug and carpet for stairs. Very easy to work with. Getting another rug from them.
