Usually the grocery pick up is a great experience. This week, I started using that service again after almost 3 years.I know that there are many vacant positions at this time and that help is hard to find. Please teach you employees shoppers how to choose items that are fresh and edible. I would rather be told there is no items available than getting rotten vegetables. I ordered 2 containers of fresh sliced mushrooms. One was barely usable, but I was cooking and needed them at that moment. The other was rotten! I never knew mushrooms could smell that bad. When I rinsed them they turned to goo.
I dont come here often, but when I do I make it worth my wow! I really like this Krogers, however Ive been noticing behavior from the cashiers that do not like. Due to the store being super busy I checked by buggy full of groceries through the self service line. As soon as I got in line, I noticed the the overseeing cashier jumped immediately behind my buggy to watch me check out. She didnt ask me if I needed assistance with anything....she was standing directly behind me watching me ring up groceries. I understand the need for them to be attentive and make sure that people are not stealing, but I believe her behavior was totally unnecessary and it was very obvious to me what she was doing. I was being racially profiled. I hate using that term, but its the way I felt. Please educate your cashiers. I spent $180 on my debit card and it would have been nice to ring up my groceries and leave in peace, but I slowly checked myself out until she got the point.
Kroger has become too big and too busy for its own good. Shopping experience is now too similar to Walmart. They now regularly run out of shopping carts and rarely have more than 2 registers open or bag your groceries. They are obviously very popular, but I prefer the days when they had a higher level of customer service.
Worst management of any Kroger Ive been to. Poorly stocked, about half of the staff will run you over in the aisle in an attempt to not talk to you (the other half are wonderful), and the curbside is a joke (not the staff, the management. See the picture)Edit: Back again sitting in line for pickup and havent moved in over ten minutes. Only one person bringing out groceries (on a Saturday) and the poor guy (who is awesome, hes brought stuff to us before) is bringing out two carts at a time in order to try to get people taken care of. Please Kroger, fire this management get someone new. (Took my 2 star rating down to a 1 because this is ridiculous as it took me about an hour to get my order)
I called over the phone spoke to Dana in customer service she is the ultimate articulate degenerate person I’ve met in a while she needs transferred to Claxton,GA still acting like it’s 1950 are you still on that level mind set? I feel extremely sorry for whoever’s around you. But all karma is due to each recipient good&evil.Remember that! Make a great day.
Never do pick up!!!! They have one poor person working so it takes an incredible amount of time to get an order. Then this guy is just standing there watching. He needs to be grabbing orders and trying to help! Not worth it!!! Inside isnt much better unless you are just grabbing a couple things and doing self checkout.
Absolute horrible experience froze and then charged my card multiple times. Customer service gave me a number to call and refused to help other wise. Corporate referred me back to the store. Spoke with the manager who ignored me and then gave me yet again the same number to reach out to. Horrible tone, very rude and continuously rolled her eyes. Worst Kroger I’ve been to. Isle are never stalked, carts have trash in them and produce is rotten. Do not ever suggest.
Well lit well stocked clean store. Layout is easy to get used to, and makes shopping much easier. Always great sales and deals, especially with the Kroger card. The buy 5 save 5 deals are the best. Only reason this location doesnt get 5 stars is because the front end always seems understaffed. This is a VERY busy location, yet I have never seen more than three lanes open. They do have up to 8 self checkout, but if you have a cart full that is a nightmare.
Place is usually pretty well stocked considering the days and times Im off. But one thing you can count on, is the deli counter ignoring you for a MIN of 10 minutes. Its been like this for the 3 years Ive been coming here. Never changes. Make this your first stop if you need a full cart of groceries because all your frozen foods will be hot by end of your trip. Deli is my only gripe with this store
I have learned more about location of items. My complaint is I cannot make a grocery list without the list going into a cart TO BE SHOPPED BY SOMEONE FOR ME.I want to PERSONALLY SHOP & make a grocery list for my groceries and there is no designation for just GROCERY LIST.. it could be an additional option.
Customer Service? Plan on being in that line for half an hour or more. I just had to wait for 40 minutes while one lady was clearly a severe Karen/high upkeep and all I needed was a simple ticket for the recycled 5-gallon water bottle (I know, hard to believe it was empty of tickets AGAIN—but it more often than it is not!). Friday!? Maybe have two attendants?I then had to wait another half hour to check out with a VERY fussy self-check out (attendant had to come three times to fix). This place needs MAJOR work.
My wife is handicapped. This stores handicapped carts are always either charging or out of order. 4 times in a row. You would think a larger store would maintain them better, and have an adequate number available.
A huge roach crawled on the register while I was being checked out! The cashier killed it with my ground beef pack and had the nerve to try to put in the bag!!! Do not go here they’re nasty and unsanitary!
DOES NOT HAVE CONTACTLESS PAY! I wasted time even signing up for Kroger pay after failing to use Google pay on my. NEITHER OF THEM WORKED.
Worst customer service EVER!!!!!!Managers are awful and very unprofessionalThe staff won’t help get you buggy even if your handicap. I rather shop at Publix this place is the worst . STORE IS NEVER STOCKED OR CLEANED.My card wasn’t swiping the cashier took my card to a manager for whatever reason. Later that week my card had unauthorized chargers
I just needed something for the meal I was making for my family. I go to grab bell peppers and a roach crawls out from under it. I told the manager but they tried telling me they “ don’t have roaches” like I didn’t just see a darn roach!!
Pharmacy treats new patients like druggis and wont fill your prescription for no valid reason. Very rude staff. Only came here because cheaper but they will never see this customer ever again.
You closed literally six minutes early. I know that doesn’t seem like much but it’s all I needed. I hope it made your night because it ruined mine.
Its a pretty big grocery store thats for sure... youll find what u need. Check out for me at least was pretty quick as I only had a few things and went thru self check out
Staff are very rude and mangers are never willing to correct the problem
If you want a great shopping experience, go in the morning. If you go in the late afternoon prepare to wait and to bag your own groceries (and I’m not referring to self checkout). In the afternoon they may have 4 lines open but no baggers. So the poor cashier is doing double work, and yes I will bag my groceries because I feel sorry for the cashiers. I understand no one wants to work. But here is an idea instead of having 4 lines open with no bagger, have 2 lines open with a cashier and a bagger. This way you’re not exhausting the cashiers. Another thing I noticed is the pad outside of the door asking people to leave their name, number, & email to receive notification about a job. So the people’s information is just displayed for any looney toon to walk by and get these people’s information. A better suggestion would be to have a locked box where people can tear the paper off and after filling it out put it in the secured box. And if you’re wondering I have worked customer service for over 20 years, and yes I have been a manager. Work smart not hard people. Treat your staff good and they will be good to you.
The manager was very rude to the employees. They need to take communication skill classes. The dont treat their black employees fair.
Very poor experience here Very rude management and staff didn’t even want to help me when I was looking for an item seemed irritated that I even asked
It is clean and well stocked. Its hit or miss with the staff.
Dianna is rude and nasty towards customers! i asked where the seasonings were and she punched me in the face! was the worst experience of my life.
Management never contacted me after I was verbally abused by another customer and staff did nothing. I also contacted management about a gas employees hate speech and heard nothing back. Worst grocery store to work at in town as well, the union is a joke and kowtows to management, so nobody joins.
Worst management I’ve ever experienced
I love this place to shop inside for all my groceries. DO NOT use their curbside grocery pick up. Absolutely ridiculous wait times and you will NOT be out in the hour for your pick up. Just go inside.Also- why do they never have baggers? People spend $300 and still have to bag their own groceries. I love this store, but Publix is just better.
Dont bother with pickup options on their app for this store. Ive been waiting for 30 minutes on an order I put in at 1pm. They said it was ready so I drove to the store. 9 cars still in from of me. I dont think they understand what Ready means if it takes THIS long to load orders.Go inside to shop. Itll take less time, you wont have random replacements, and you can get home at a decent hour. Btw... I have not moved an INCH while writing this.13 minutes after the initial posting I have STILL not moved. I wonder if the world will be the same when I get out of this line. I miss my loved ones and want to see them again someday. Still I sit.. I wait... I use up gas while someone 8 cars ahead of me tries to figure out the complexity of doors and putting things in cars. I will update again when I have moved. There has been movement. I can see the pickup spots ahead of me. Oh what a wonderful time it will be when I finally get to park in one and wait even longer to get my groceries loaded. I will happily perform the act myself if I could, but alas... I started down a path far longer than I could have imagined. It took an hour and a half before I saw the end. It was joyous. I took leave of my senses and bathed in the sense of freedom that now lay before me. The journey home... That adventure is for another day.
Well stocked very clean First time in a kroger that sells clothes Lots of space loved it Love the sushi bar and Starbucks
A pleasant shopping experience for your family.
Out of all the Krogers in the area this one has the best produce and service! Always fast and friendly checkout. Good layout of the store, easy to get around. Plenty of handicap accessible parking. The grocery pick up is in a bit of an odd area as you have to turn around behind the store but otherwise great?
I just had multiple roaches crawl on my items after I placed them on the checkout belt. After I mentioned them to the cashier, she said nothing and rushed me through the line. I felt they couldve handled the situation much better. I frequent this location weekly, and her lack of reaction makes me wonder how often this happens. Im unsure if the items I purchased are safe to eat.
(Click list) Ordered 2 lbs of sandwich turkey, was charged for 3, received only 1. ONE! (BTW it was Boars Head so $$$) Was never refunded after multiple attempts over 6 WEEKS with clicklist workers and store customer service. I was a weekly/bi-weekly loyal customer. Haven’t returned since. I overlooked the multiple times my order was wrong or incomplete (even rotten vegetables one time, gross!) but not when I was overcharged and blatantly ignored. Publix is more expensive and DEFINITELY worth it...do better! Life is complicated enough. If you were going to go out of your way to offer a service to make people’s lives easier, you should probably strive to do just that.
I tried to bag my groceries but a roach crawled on my leg and I Fell and busted my head open very unsanitary
This place is amazing, I come here especially for the fruit which always has special offers. The sushi bar is a bonus!!!
I love this Kroger’s don’t hardly have issues with the Associates but when it comes to the pharmacy department lack of acknowledgement had me sitting didn’t tell me my medicine was ready I had to go up there and ask my medicine was just sitting in the basket like really. They need better training I won’t ever come here to get my prescriptions filled but I will shop for other items.
I can usually find what I need very easily, the store is laid out well. The store is always clean and well stocked.
I found out some workers were being disrespectful to my wife if you hate your job go somewhere else its that simple
Corporate needs to do something about the managers and how they talk to there employees
HORRIBLE DONT WORK OR GO HERE
While I enjoy shopping here, it can leave you feeling winded if you dont know where everything is. They have a nice selection, with a variety of goods and services to choose from.
I didnt read the reviews before setting this store for pick up OH MY GOD Ive never waited more for my groceries. Dont use the drive up pick up option unless you like waiting an hour in your car .
In-store shopping OK but good luck with onlune/pick up. Products not available (although the products are on the shelf), loooong waits even after they say order ready, indifferent staff.... Poor, poor customer service.... Take a look at the Walmart process.... Very disappointed long time customer...
Use to love this Kroger have been shopping here for over 30 years, first Kroger started charging .50 for cash back, then they stopped giving change and credit your Kroger card, now you have to go to the Customer Service desk to get cash back. So long Kroger I’m shopping at Publix now!
Hard to find shopping carts.
The manager called me a racial slur when i went
We always find what we are looking for. Great selection and fair prices. And a great cheese dept. Michelle and her crew are always putting out delicious samples, which in turn causes me to purchase things I wasnt planning to get, but am always glad I did.
Always, a pleasurable place in which to shop. Items are usually easy to locate. Friendly staff, and helpful staff.Their weekly sales are compatible with the other major grocery stores in this area. Sometimes better, depending upon the product that you need.
Great, always get my products in stock
Kim (older with short white hair) the cashier was the absolute worst interaction with a person in customer service that I have ever dealt with in my life. I have been in the hospitality industry as a line level associate and manager for many years now and have yet to encounter such a lack of customer service I got from her. I walked up to check out and loaded the conveyor belt with my flowers and mother’s day chocolates and she looked at me and walked away. She began talking to other employees and didn’t walk back over for a few minutes. When she did she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said “do you even have a Kroger card”. After I put in my phone number and swiped my corporate card, the system would not take it. Kim then said to me “your card declined, you’re not going anywhere”. I was slightly taken aback, but proceeded to try my card again as I had just used it that morning and it worked fine, but it wouldn’t go through the system again. She said “hm, you’re going to need to use another card. This one doesn’t seem to have any use to me.” I said to her that it was my corporate card and I had just used it somewhere else and it worked fine. She then said “well it’s not here so, another card.” I was so surprised and disturbed at her attitude over a simple technology glitch that I left the $300 of flowers and chocolate that I had bought for my staff and guests for mother’s day right there and walked away. It’s very disheartening to me that an associate, who may possibly just be having a bad day, feels the need to be so vile and rude to a paying customer. I have always been loyal to this Kroger location and the brand in general but after the way I was treated by Kim I will never return, and begin going to Publix instead. It’s sad the damage that one terrible employee can do for a brand.
I have had an issue with these Krogers twice now. Once was when I arrived at the store at 7:45 and was told its senior hour but nowhere online does it advertise that.. Second issue was today when i tried to enter the store and was turned away by a Mr David who said they were closed.. I looked at my watch and saw it was 8:52 pm. I told him I needed one thing and he still refused to let me in. This is unacceptable and if hours are not until 9pm then this needs to be changed and they need to do better with informing public of the changes. Ridiculous and i will. Ot shop here anymore!
I had a lot of great help from Ms Zoe and another female today I apologize for forgetting the other young ladies’ name but they both work the self checkout. They were very nice helpful and friendly..Also the security guard she stopped me and helped me make sure I didn’t put anything extra in my bag.Its want her fault but she was also great. Thanks from me and Ms Kimberly Mainor
I am constantly being followed and profiled by Krogers third party contract security. I been shopping there for years and I voiced this complaint several times to management and twice to corporate. If this continue to do this i will posting pictures for public evidence.
My wife uses the Kroger app so shopping is organized and quick. The app identifies your store then organizes your shopping list by aisle, no backtracking, and then applies discounts and coupons. We use the Krogers credit card which gives us a minimum 35cent/gal discount on gas for a year from issuance. Savannah Krogers have very friendly and helpful staff. They are consistantly the lowest price (with app) for family shopping.
The cashier over charged my card by $40. I called to speak to a manager 3 times left my name and number. No one ever called me back. I would have went back up there but when I noticed the over charge I was on my way to New York for a week. I Did not go in after I came back because the cashier didnt even give me a proper receipt. She gave me a void receipt with no date and time. Only her name. I really had liked this one.
Overall clean. Some prices higher than other grocers. Gas station easy to get in and out. Employees are nice and will hold a conversation with you. Only prob Ive had more than once is the 18 count eggs have not been there. I would have to get the dozen and I prefer the larger count. My preferred Kroger was by Savannah Mall which closed but I enjoy shopping at this one too.
I love my Kroger marketplace. I really like to go early before crowds.I can easily spend 2hrs. When its quiet and relaxed. I love the clearance on clothes and other things. Its like my quiet place to go and I love it
Has everything you need from groceries to clothing. Great selection of cakes! Plenty of ready to eat food, too. Everything looked fresh.
Mega-Kroger! I love my Kroger store. Warning, though..... Their inventory is very erratic. Sometimes they dont have an item that always buy, and that is frustrating.I love the people in the pharmacy -- super-efficient.Customer Service desk is rarely staffed effectively, so returns, Western Union, Bill Pay, check cashing, lottery cashing is forever a long line. Luckily, the ladies behind the desk are patient and friendly.
The nice young man attending the meat cases at around 2:10 pm, Dec 10, was especially courteous and helpful. As he unboxed stock, he graciously offered me help and wished me a good evening and a Merry Christmas. I noticed that he did that with EVERY customer in his area. He maintained eye contact and smiled as well. I bought an expensive piece of meat that I would never have purchased if he hadnt made me feel so good about the cut. Please seek out this associate and reward him for representing the best of the best . Well done, Kroger.
Love this Krogers it is wonderful, clean and the Kroger team are always friendly and helpful. I come here from Midway ( 30 mi) about twice a month to look at their clothing and accessories which they always have on discount! I give em 5 stars!!! Go Kroger
This is a newer Kroger and they have an awesome Deli and sushi department. It is very crowded but we were still able to make our purchases without too much of a delay. I highly recommend their sushi platters, the fish and seafood were extremely fresh and priced very reasonably.
Kroger is awesome, but for the prices we pay... I expect to have a cashier. Only 4 lines open? If they arent supporting their staff with hours and wages, then I should move to a store that does!!!
My rating isn’t for the location but for the rude associate in self checkout with the green and black hair. I frequent this location a lot and usual choose Publix but this Kroger is nice. Here is my issue. This morning I came for rotisserie chicken. None are new so they’re discounted. I scanned the wrong barcode and just simply wanted the price adjusted. She told me she couldn’t do anything about it until 8. Mind you it’s 7:24. So I waited at customer service until 8 and the young lady there was very helpful and stated that the girl could have fixed it earlier for me instead of making me wait.My thing is if you don’t have the right training, ask your superior and if you just don’t want to help customers, find an at home job! Her customer service is subpar and just disappointing.
Miss Diane was not wearing a mask
I tried the click list for the first time. Angel brought my order to my car (very quickly!). She was very helpful and very pleasant. She answered all of my questions. Im happy!
This is an absolutely amazing store. If you need something, youll find it here. Top of the line.
Its always a really good experience every visit. I Go there every day and I mean every day to pay my bills, cash my check, eat from the deli, and buy food for my family.almost everyone knows me and my family at this location I go so much i should get paid lol.but its just a very nice place to visit for all kinds of reasons. Sincerely yours Jamie
My favorite grocery store! Always has tons of sales going on, has friendly associates, and the selection of items is awesome! They also have a Murrays Cheese shop in the deli, which is wonderful for those who love a huge variety of cheeses to choose from. The cheese mongors there are amazing too, always ready to help. My favorite part of the store ;)
Very busy at the time I went. I guess it was pay check Friday. They probably could have done better with the traffic control. Also the self check out machine was a little funky. It wouldnt check me out because it didnt recognize my payment. Walmart has the one up on them for this. Great beer selection for a grocery store. It was unbelievable how many different beers they had. It distracted me from finding the produce department.
This place was just made and I can tell you of you download there app for coupons... Stuff would end up for like less than five dollars. I would say its a supermarket because they sell clothes and food and many other products plus they have a snack area. And you can make your own Peanut butter😁😁
This store is huge! And they have so many good discounts if you get the card. 100 points will get you 10cents off a gallon at there citgo stores. Much better prices than other places who offer discounts if you have a store rewards card. We dont have one of these in Pensacola Florida where I live but I wish we did .
The employees make this a wonderful place to shop. The Pharmacy is extra special, and helpful. We lost our last pharmacy after 35 years when the store closed, Kroger made the change seamless.
This is the biggest Kroger in Savannah. It has a lot of good stuff. If you like sales, youll find a lot of really amazing prices here, just be careful and go early on in the sale because they go out of stock on sale items often
This place is impressive! Its one of the largest standard grocery stores Ive ever seen, and has a salad bar, sushi bar, hot bar at the deli, and lots of lunch options. Its very clean, well-stocked, and in a great location near lots of other shopping options.
Best Kroger in Savannah hands down. Modern and sleek with features youd expect to find in a Kroger in a much larger city! Cheese stand is dynamite, butcher and deli are both superb and the layout feels organic and is easy to intuitively navigate.
This is a great grocery store. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. The samples they have in the deli and cheese department are out of this world. So delicious!
This is a difficult one to review. The layout is insane, felt like a training circuit. A speed inhibitor should be considered for those power carts, one woman mustve been channeling Mario Andretti 😲! Definitely not a store to shop if you are in a hurry. The employees were friendly and very efficient.
Clean store, mostly friendly staff. Their AFC sushi vendor is amazing. Great natural foods section. Overall a great place to shop. They could be a little more efficient on stocking things, they are always out of one thing or another. I can live with that though.
This store is great. I found everything I need and some New stuff. Why are all the Krogers like this one. This you MODEL STORE KROGER. YOU GOT THIS ONE RIGHT ON POINT. Thanks.
I adore this Kroger and a good bit of the people working for this establishment. Always clean when I visit.
Almost always clean and the layout of the store has a nice flow. Cashiers are friendly and rarely rude, once you have a Kroger card, everything is decently priced. Its also conveniently located by restaurants and other stores, especially the mall. Everything tends to be stocked and organized as well.
I’m relatively new to the Savannah area but upon moving here, I was told this is the biggest Kroger in the state of GA—biggest I have ever seen. I shop here atleast once a week and no matter what day or time I go, the store is NEVER fully stocked with inventory nor associates. I almost always have to change my meal options based on what’s available and to make matters worse, I have to bag my own groceries upon checkout. On several occasions I have noticed their food to be misleading with what is advertised, especially when buying prepackaged shrimp. Extra large/Jumbo shrimp are usually medium sized. Two stars for the store being cleaned and the associates being friendly.
Its always a pleasure to shop here. I even use Krogers deli dept to order special fruit or meat and cheese platters for office parties. And I cant forget to mention that with a swipe of my Krogers key fob I instantly save.
I bought a watermelon it was rotten. So now I have to waste my gas to go return it. I get to the customer care, the line is so long. I didn’t ask for a rotten product. I’m in a rush & will have to come back another day. This is the third watermelon I have gotten that was bad. I’ll never buy another one from Kroger.
This is not the Kroger to go to for Kroger brand jumbo white hamburger buns.
I got screwed. 2 lbs shrimp 26-30 count $30 (Krogers). Extra large 16 oz $12 (Krogers). Sams Club 2 lbs 31-40 shrimp per pound $15.
I love this Krogers! All the people that work there are super nice! The managers are very friendly! The meat and seafood department people are awesome! Super friendly and always helpful! My favorite Kroger!
This Kroger is fairly organized and it has a nice Starbucks inside. They also sell budget clothing if you need cheap clothes. Its always clean and the staff are usually helpful and friendly.
You know? I like this place as its the only Kroger left near me and its huge with all kinds of specialties, but I need a map or something. That and the employees are just slack. End of the night on a Sunday and it was like the day before a hurricane. Stock was down and out in most spots. Ill remember to go a different day next time.
