A friend of mine referred me to this shop and just about insisted that I don’t call anyone else. I trust my friend so I called Steve and had him look at my car. He gave me a really great price, did excellent work, and finished it exactly when he said he would. It’s not everyday you walk out of a place noticeably happy about the value you got for your money. I highly recommend this shop for any and all auto body and paint.

Wow. I feel like I found the Holy Grail of body shops. INCREDIBLE WORK. VERY REASONABLE PRICES. REMARKABLY TRUSTWORTHY. Steve is amazing to work with -- his knowledge and enthusiasm (he REALLY loves cars) are outstanding. The pride he has in the finished work is extraordinary and well earned. I had them do some auto body work and detailing. Thankful for both. A Cheap Body Shop might imply something of lesser quality to some -- this interpretation would simply not be true. The quality is stellar. The only thing cheap is the amount they are charging relative to others who do half as much for twice the price. Thankful for Steve and the team.

Came for a frame straightening, they took the car down to a very third-rate lot in downtown Phoenix and didn’t bother bringing the car back up to the Scottsdale office. Tried to charge me 150 even after causing my coolant to start severely leaking. If you want to waste your time and money, I highly recommend them.

I got into a pretty bad front end accident and a minor rear accident on my Malibu. Steve gave me beyond the best price which helped considering I’m paying cash. I am a 21 year old female who does not know a lot about cars. Unfortunately my car was in a hit and run accident and my drivers side mirror was torn off. Not knowing what to do, I went to almost every body shop in my area trying to figure out what a reasonable price looked like. I went to eight or nine different body shops. I am not kidding. I explored ALL my options because these places I was going to were quoting me 500-600 to fix my mirror. It sounded like a lot, I really didnt know any better. I called A Cheap Body Shop just to see if they were any different. Not only did they quote me a decent price and got it done quickly, Steve is one of the kindest considerate people I have dealt with in this industry. If you dont know a lot about your car and you are unfamiliar with the auto industry it is important to have people you can trust, A Cheap Body Shop definitely has people you can trust. Some months ago Steve talked me out of getting our cars roof repainted. He offered to touch it up for nothing if Id buy the paint. I never did it, but then someone dinged our fender. He talked me out of an expensive repair when I took it to him. He suggested PDR, saying it wouldnt be as good, but would be satisfactory. He quoted me both prices, and said he could probably have it done in a day. I wanted the bumpers touched up, but he said that most of it could just be buffed out and the rest touched up. The next day he called to tell me it was done. It looks great. If you look very carefully (and know where and what to look for), hes was right- its not perfect. But its very satisfactory, as he also said- and nobody will ever notice the small imperfections. And the rear bumper is perfect, the front nearly so.

Steve was great and the car was fixed like new!!! The price was awesome and it was completed in less time than was estimated. Easily half the cost of a dealership body shop, could not be happier!!!

Hi, I have to say I was a bit skeptical of this body shop not seeing it, meeting Steve and giving him my vehicle, but I wanted to save money. Steve was very honest and fair with me on the price. He saved me money and delivered good quality work. He also returned my vehicle fully restored in a timely manner. I will definitely call him again if I ever need car body work done and recommend him to people. Even when I didnt have the trust in him, Steve was always as courteous as can be, patient, kind and very professional.

Dont believe the good reviews, read the bad ones! My experience was consistent with those. This place is not a shop, its a storefront where Steve outsources the work to the cheapest Phoenix shop available. Their average work day 1 doesnt last. 1 year after a hood repair and repaint the paint is cracking on the hood. Steve is very nice to get business but doesnt stand behind his work and the whole process went from good to bad during the repair. We determined at the time most of the positive reviews were fake and I believe he gets a lot of the bad reviews removed. YOU WERE WARNED. DO NOT GO HERE.

Had my car rear-ended (rear bumper damage) a few months back by some incompetent female driver... so, I took matters into my own hands and decided to find a cheap body shop—and, lo and behold, I found A Cheap Body Shop! Contacted Steve and, in about a week, the rear bumper was restored by his team and lookin FRESH (even got compliments about it from co-workers). Cordial, professional, affordable (hence CHEAP)—now a go-to for future auto body repairs. My sincere gratitude to Steve... highly recommended.

We had the tailgate stolen from our company truck recently. I contacted A Cheap Body Shop for a quote, and was pleasantly surprised! Steve was awesome to work with! He immediately began working to find the most cost effective solution, which turned out to be a used tailgate which matched perfectly! He sent me pictures first and let us decide if we wanted to go that route, but also offered for us to try it out first, and if we didnt like how it looked, he gave us a second quote to bring it back and let them do their magic and make the tailgate look brand new! Being that it was a work truck, the minor dings were not a problem at all, and we were very pleased with the result! Thank you Steve! I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

Wow, what a nice job. I was sent to the shop by a car-wash company who had inflicted damage to my car. First, Steve was prompt in calling me back and making an appointment. Secondly, he made it easy and seamless (I did not need to interact with the Company; he took care of all of the paperwork and billing). Third, he got my car done quickly, and when the automatic color code for the car did not match exactly, he re-painted to make it perfect. Finally, his help with a rental car went above and beyond, making it convenient to both pick up and drop off.Incredible value!

Fantastic! I read all the reviews before going and wondered how much better/different can one place be from another (I guess Im just so use to getting shafted Ive expect it!) Well.. Let me tell you from start to finish I was thoroughly impressed. I was in a fender bender w/ my Nissan Pathfinder (my fault) and insurance was paying for the damage.. but I had other unrelated damage on there from before. Steve gave me a quote Lower than the others I had received but said he wasnt sure what it would take to fix the hood and it might be more Well.. When I went back it turned out he told me the hood damage (Paid for by my insurance) was easier to fix than expected and HE CHARGED ME LESS, and applied the amount to the parts I was paying out of my own pocket. Less than the estimate?! I thought I was on Candid Camera. I hope I dont need them again, but if I do I will go there without hesitation and will go out of my way to refer people to them. Oh ya... Car looked great.

I crunched the bottom of the passenger doors and running board on my F150 turning out of a drive through. They found a replacement running board matching the original and repaired the doors. Looks like the crunch never happened. Im very happy with the work and the price!

Great People, Quality Work, Responsive and Reasonable! I have a 11 yr old Toyota Tacoma that I baby and is pristine. I hit an object on the highway that gouged my rocker panel. Had 3 estimates from Scottsdale shops (inc. A Cheap), 2 were reasonable and close - but A Cheap was able to commit to doing the work immediately and that gave them the nod. The 3rd shop referenced is named after the street they are located on (starts with Rain and ends with Tree) quoted me a price 3 1/2 times A Cheap as they felt they needed to cut up and weld back together half my truck to repair the damage to the rocker panel - they would also need the vehicle 2 to 3 weeks. When I challenged the quote about seeming to be more work than necessary I was told they only do work the right way (aka gouge the consumer and line their pockets). Highly recommend Steve and A Cheap!

My dodge caliber had the drivers side fender & side view mirror very banged up. They did a great job, at a cost less than 50% of the next cheapest quote I got (I got 3-4 quotes then chose the deepest that was well-reviewed).Highly recommended.Best,David

I brought in my car to get the headlamp assembly replaced and they did a good job but I requested for them to only charge me $400 for the replacement if I supply the assembly. The salesman wrote it down and acknowledged what I said.They called me when it was ready and charged me $600!! They told me they would take off $100 if they keep my current lamps, but was still $500!! I am young and I think they were trying to take advantage of me.They do a good job, but buyer beware because they will charge you A LOT for a job any mechanic can do.I do not recommend this place if you want a good deal.

If you need a quick, honest and perfect body shop experience, A Cheap Body Shop is your place. Ive read the reviews and except for one, are exemplary. Not surprised. My Insurance Agent introduced me and Ive had numerous cars in for repair along with several of my friends. You will not find a more ethical, simplistic, in the business to make you happy guy more than Steve. Take any vehicle to him for repair - whether its small or large - you wont be disappointed and you wont pay less anywhere. With three teen age sons, I cant think of a better guy to know!!

Asked for a quote on a minor fix in advanced of being charged for excess wear and tear for a leased car. Steve recommended no need to fix it and, as it turned out, it fell under the normal wear and tear. Thank you, Steve, for your honesty.

A couple of The reviews were bad but now I know for a fact dont believe what you read because they did an amazing job and I love the new look and the price was amazing too. A few months ago I had a small fender bender on my truck that needed some fixing. I decided while I plan on replacing the front bumper I should have the entire front grille and rear bumper all upgraded and matched at the same time. Steves estimate for the labor and materials was by far the best price in town, and even beating most online retailers for the cost of the materials I looked at. Even with a small job such as mine Steve still treated it like a high priority and was very friendly and genuine. I called in on a Wednesday late afternoon and stopped by the office and got a quick estimate, turned it over, and it was ready Friday afternoon. They even had time to take care of an idler bearing problem. The finished job looked perfect and they even delivered my truck straight to my house.Fast, quality, and affordable....what else could you ask for?

When the bumper of my Prius was damaged, I went around to various body shops and every one of them estimated the cost to be between $1000- $2000. When I went to Cheap Body Shop, their quote was $400 and it looked like new when I got it back! They not only fixed the bumper, they repaired other problems with the car. I was amazed. This place is a real gem!

I called this place just to do a price comparison on a small paint-less dent repair the size of a nickel and I spoke with a gentleman who sharply snapped back with a a ridiculous price of $250! When I asked again for the price since I thought I may have misheard what he had said he replied. You asked for a price, I would have to see it so I said $250. With a snarky tone of voice. I said thank you and hung up. A friendly voice goes a long way, sad to say I didnt even get that courtesy. I wont be taking my vehicle there.

I am leaving my first review here for A CHEAP BODY SHOP (Office: 7633 East Acoma Drive, Suite 205, Scottsdale, AZ 85260) Owner: Steve Klein. I am going to try to post this on a few public review sites in order prevent people from making the same mistake I did.Awhile back I went to their office to get a quote for some work to be done. I met Steve Klein the owner, who, in the beginning I was very impressed with. He struck me as being very nice, cordial, well spoken etc. So I gave him the job.Steves business has a unique business model: It has an office in Scottsdale (JUST AN OFFICE, NO SHOP-the excuse given is that it is a ugly? Are there good looking body shops?), and then work is farmed out to a guy in Phoenix who has a place with a couple of guys. Steve does not have a shop. So in essence he is a middle man or arranger. I have the impression that the the guy that does Steves cars does cars from his own business as well as from other sources.In short my work was not done on time, and was delayed several times (not for parts, just for bodywork-apparently once Steve took my job and had my car and my substantial deposit he just kept taking more business and scheduling it ahead of mine!). And when I finally got my car back, all kinds of trim pieces/ parts were in the trunk. When I complained to Steve that he did not finish the job, he said I would have to leave the car for additional time and that he could not finish that day - so I was just so frustrated, I just took the car, and had to endure additional expense to do the rest on my own!During the several times I met Steve I noted he was on phone several times apparently talking to other unsatisfied customers and making excuses to others who were also not very happy with the service saying once to someone Listen, what do you expect for the price you are paying? - I feel like an idiot for not paying attention to these red flags... Steve is a sales & marketing guy by past experience, not a car guy. He apparently found a business model to do this kind of work. It is not quality work, there is no integrity involved in the way he runs his business and in short, I consider him to be irresponsible and dishonest.Locally here on Dex reviews etc. there a plenty of 5 star reviews - I believe that they are written by Steve or friends due to the writing style. Many have similarities. Dont believe them! Dont bring your car here! Dont do business with this guy! You will be very frustrated and hurt by the end of the process!My advice: If your insurance is paying for your collision work anyway. Go to a well known shop or ask your insurance provider for a list of shops and go see their finished work - these shops will most probably have a warranty for there work as well.If you are paying cash as I did, follow the same process as above using shops where you can see their work/finished product (and you can see and speak to the customers who are there), you are treated well, you have a warranty in the end and the shops have reviews or approvals by those who matter Like AAA (triple A) or national insurance companies. These types of shops care about long term relationships and their reputation. Steve obviously does not.I hate getting taken and am usually a better consumer, but this time I thought I was getting a great deal from a guy that looked and sounded perfect - too perfect. I want to help others from having the same heartache, frustration and additional expense as I did. Avoid this place like the plague!

Excellent work at fair prices!

Steve is a sleazy salesman. He does not have an actual body shop, just a small office. He outsources the vehicles to other body shops and takes a huge cut. He is never there when needed, he kept my vehicle a lot longer than originally said, the paint looks AWFUL, they were supposed to replace the whole side panel of my truck but instead filled it with putty, there are sanding marks all up and down the side. the lines are uneven, etc. I could go on and on. Then refuses to fix the issue stating What do you expect for the price although, he filed for more than one supplement from my insurance company. DO NOT GO HERE.

Steve, the owner, really cares for their customers. I took my car there and he helped me to get everything through the insurance. He picked up my car at the office, and when the car was ready, he picked me up again at my office. Steve also helped me with some other scratches that were not covered by the insurance. This guy really went above and beyond my expectations.
