I brought 2 rugs to them that our new puppy had decided to use as a potty pad. I was very pleased with Adam and his teams’ willingness to help and I thought the price was fair. Our rugs were cleaned to ‘like new’ condition. I’m very pleased with the work they did and will be back.

I took my silk carpet in for cleaning. Adam trimmed the fringe, stabilized a spot the puppy chewed so no raveling, and cleaned it. Like new! I will definitely return for the next cleaning. The store has beautiful rugs for sale too: modern and traditional.

We brought our 9 X 12 Karastan Oriental rug to Arizona Rug Co. It hadnt been cleaned in over 5 years-- since we left Sacramento. We drove it down from Prescott because we didnt want just anyone cleaning it. The accumulation of Arizonas dust had really dulled the color. (I wont even mention the unkind things a certain cat inflicted on it while he was in his dotage a couple of years ago...) AZ Rug Co also repaired a tear in it caused by a nasty vacuum cleaner snagging the over-long tassels on the end. (AZ Rug recommended trimming those tassels, which we did. What a good idea!) We picked it up today and laid the rug in our living room this afternoon. Oh, my. Oh my. Its like a new rug! The colors are vibrant again-- its beautiful!

Some time ago I took my Persian rug to Arizona Rug Company for a wash. After I got it back, the color had completely changed. Because I had a matching pair that was not washed it was easy to prove the problem.The owner, Ed Momeni was very non-cooperative and tried everything to avoid accepting the responsibility for the obvious damage. First he claimed, it was the problem with the carpet having color run. After I got expert opinions from several professional carpet cleaning companies (in AZ, CA and CO) to the contrary, he said that he dried it in the sun and was expected that it will fade. Finally when he realized it was his fault, he said that in the contract that I had signed I had waived my right to sue him for damages beyond the cost of cleaning. I spoke to a lawyer and found out that was not true in cases of negligence.After several months of gathering expert opinions and talking to a lawyer I took him court, I was able to prove that it was improperly washed and/or dried and he was ordered to pay damages. Unfortunately, he was able to undervalue my carpet and reduce the amount of damages he had to pay, but nonetheless the court ruled in my favor.I would advise anyone against taking their rugs to Ed Momenis Arizona Rug Company for wash or any services.More facts:Die Works in San Jose CA inspected my rugs and explained the proper washing technique and how this kind of damage should never happen when cleaned professionally.Robert Mann Rugs in Denver Co reviewed pictures of my rugs and also explained that professional rug cleaning techniques will not cause this kind of damage.Rug Ideas in Los Angeles inspected my rug and gave me a certified appraisal of $5500 for my rug in its used condition.PV Rugs in Scottsdale AZ inspected my rug and gave me a certified appraisal of $8500 replacement value for my rug.However, Mr Momeni was able to get an appraised value of $1500 for my rug by sending pictures of it to Tavssoli Oriental Rugs in Scottsdale. It is a shame that nepotism superseded professionalism in this case.In the attached picture the rug on the right was washed & damaged by Ed Momenis Arizona Rug Company. Rug on the left was not washed, these used to be a matching pair.

My wife and I were traveling from our home in the Las Vegas area to visit family in the Tucson area and stopped in at the Arizona Rug Company to see if they might have a southwestern style area rug for our family room, foyer and a few small rugs for our bedroom. We really hit the jackpot here. They had a great selection of rugs, all at reasonable prices. The sales staff were extremely honest and not at all pushy. They arranged to have the largest rug shipped to our home (it was too large to fit in our car), which arrived within 1 week, at a very reasonable shipping fee, and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the entire process. I recommend them highly!

I have an Oriental rug with fringe that was starting to ravel, I emailed a photo to Arizona Rug asking what could be done to repair the rug. That same day I received a return email explaining a possible solution and a price for the repair. I shipped the rug to them and received an email letting me know when the rug arrived. I just got the rug back, they removed the fringe and hand stitched the ends of the rug and washed it. The hand stitching is really well done, the rug looks better than when it was new 20 years ago. There response to my emails was always the same day. The price was what was quoited and a reasonable turn around time for the repair. I was very happy with their service, price and the quality of work, a great company to do business with.

I was a bit nervous when I walked into this business as I had never purchased an “area” rug. And, this was in SCOTTSDALE, and I’m a “country girl”. Well, Adam made me feel very comfortable. He showed me some absolutely exquisite hand loomed silk and wool pieces. When he told me the price, I thanked him, and told him what my budget was. He then showed me, without leaving me feeling like I was a pauper, some beautiful pieces well within my budget. He also educated me on the differences between hand knotted, machine made and natural versus synthetic fibers. He also describes the vacuuming and cleaning techniques to use at home versus what they do in store if I needed them professionally cleaned.I went home with the rug I liked and had 48 hours to “see how it fit” with the hardwood floor and the rest of the decor. My husband loved it.Before we returned to Arizona Rug Company, we stopped by another rug “shop” just up the road. What a difference. And not in a good way for the “other” store. We went back to The Arizona Rug Company within a few hours and purchased THAT rug as well as the “twin” that was at the Tempe location. We also purchased a third rug that they cut and selvaged for us. I had a 50 year old very large Chinese rug, mostly ivory, cleaned by this company. It is a fine piece from Harmony House in NYC. The men who came to pick the rug up (and deliver it back) were on time, polite and knowledgeable about how to move large pieces of furniture and to handle a rug. The rug came back looking new. Next time they should take me. I felt the price was fair. Not cheap but equal to the cleaning job. Im a very pleased customer.
